The majority of internet users actually read the information that they find online; therefore, there is a good chance for you that your website content will actually be read. You should try and make your website content more easy to understand and attractive. It is also important to note that high quality content is likely to attract better advertisements. So make sure that your website grabs it all.

Well, the design of your website is also important. In fact, it may be just as important as your content. You want your website to look professional, attractive, and appealing. You will want to go with plain, simple, yet professional. If you need assistance with the design of your website, you may want to think about hiring the services of a professional web designer.

A lot of people also try setting up multiple websites that connect to your main site. And believe me this is actually a very effective way to build up your hit count, but only if your site's content makes for excellent reading or viewing. Without quality content, your site will soon stagnate, and all the other connecting sites and blogs with it. If your site has quality content, then this should be no problem for you.

And let me tell you that the best way to see an increase of visitors to your site is to make sure you have a large amount of unique and relevant content on your site. The search engines like the content that readers will find useful and informative. Make sure and try to provide as much value and information in your writing as possible and place everything you write on a different page of your site. Doing this aids your site's popularity and results in it becoming an online "authority" website. This can result in a massive jump in search engine rankings for your site. The best part is that search engine traffic is completely free.

The visitors in your website themselves is a great source of advertising, because once they visit your website they usually recommend their friends to visit your website and spreads from there, resulting in higher targeted traffic. For this to happen, your website should also be attention grabbing.

Another effective way to invite targeted traffic to your website is buying advertising space on websites that discuss topics about your product. You can be sure that the people visiting your website are interested and may possibly buy your product. You can do free advertising for your website as well. And by doing such you can attract a lot of visitors for your website.

We all know that website promotion is really important so that one can attract as many visitors as possible. The aim is to use the web traffic statistics to figure out how well and how popular your site is working for your visitors. One way to determine this is to find out how long on average your visitors spend on your site. If the time spent is relatively brief, it usually indicates an underlying problem. Finally, if you notice that users have started finding your website by typing in your company name, all it means is that you have achieved a significant level of brand recognition, and this is a sure sign of your success!!!

Its About Traffic Honey

Ajeet Khurana 2007-05-23
Title: Its About Traffic Honey
If you are a webmaster, what would you consider the most important determining factor for the success of a website? If your answer is anything other than traffic, it is time that you did a rethink! Naturally, there can be other valid webmaster's intentions such as developing your site into an authority site, or generating revenue (can't fault that one). But, the backbone of moneymaking websites is traffic – lots of it. Relevant traffic. Traffic that converts. Traffic that is natural.

How do we get a hold of such traffic? The first school of traffic generation relates to the fundamental dictum of "build a good mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door." Of course there is bound to be significant doubt about what marks a "good mouse trap." But the idea has its merits. Use your promotion skills for your site and just watch, you will be able to generate traffic.

So it is a pity that rather than follow the principal of "build a good mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door," some website owners rely on "build and they will come." This is the passive approach to website traffic generation. Sure, following that logic you will get some traffic, but you are leaving a lot of money on the table. And that is not a good thing. Instead of spreading yourself thin with dozens of sites, you must take up only as many sites as you can actively promote. Sounds like a bunch of common sense, right? Actually, it is not so common to see this basic principle being followed.

Then there are those who will buy traffic. Ask a webmaster and usually they will find the idea of buying traffic displeasing. This is on the grounds that many sites that sell traffic do it by using paid surfers, auto-surfing programs, pop-ups, pop-downs, etc. This ends up diluting the quality of the traffic till it becomes nearly trifling.

Of course, a brilliant solution for traffic is search engines. In case you can get search engines to rank you decently, you can expect to get plenty of traffic from search engines. But take up only the few big ones – Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask probably constitute well in the excess of 90% of all search engine queries. Having a great site, with great content, great navigation and many links from reputed sites is the best way of ranking well in search engines.

Buying Quality Traffic on the Internet for Your Website

Brian Mears 2006-05-03
Title: Buying Quality Traffic on the Internet for Your Website
Purchasing traffic from online businesses can be very difficult. There are many of these websites selling traffic, but it is not easy to decide who to buy from. Many of these websites can be found by doing a Google search for "buy website traffic", or something similar. Most of them are resellers who buy traffic from wholesalers and redistribute the traffic at a higher price to webmasters. Some sites offer general web traffic, and others may offer category or regional targeted traffic. Other traffic websites may even offer adult and casino specific packages, because general traffic does not allow these types of sites. Any type of traffic that is not general web traffic is sold at a much higher price, because it is harder to collect and sort.

There are some very odd things about most traffic purchasing websites. It seemed that even though each site design was different, the general idea was the exact same thing, and even most of the text is copied word for word. Many of the websites have both numerous spelling errors and severe grammatical mistakes indicative of bad translation from another language. The site designs were also flawed, such as a missing purchase confirmation page. Many sites do not even list an email address, but instead have a form to fill out and submit questions to them with. This is a bad means of communication and is used to hide the company's real email address.

Many of these sites are scams, based in China or other foreign countries. They will take the money, send fake "visitors", and become impossible to contact. This article lists the main details to watch out for, and to helps webmasters and site owners avoid trouble when marketing their site. Here are a few main points to take note of on a traffic website before making a purchase:

-Look for website design and content. Is the website well made? Are there sections for support/contact, FAQ, about the site, terms/disclaimer, and a straightforward ordering form?

-Spelling and grammar. Does the website read well? Does it look badly translated and poorly designed? Are there obvious mistakes on main pages?

-Contact and Support Test the customer support, ask a few questions before making a purchase. Do they respond quickly and answer all your questions?

-Check their refund policy. Will they give you a refund if you are not satisfied? What are their terms for refunds?

-Are they based in a reputable area? Is the company based in the USA, Canada, Europe, or is it in China, Russia, or another country where scams a prevalent?

-Compare prices. A very low price can be just as bad as a very high price. A low price suggests a possible scam, and a high price suggests a ripoff.

-Check traffic delivery timeframe. Do they guarantee that the traffic you purchase will be delivered in 30 days?

All these points are things to take into consideration before buying traffic for a website. A legitimate web traffic providing website can be a great marketing partner, and generate a lot of money, but a illegitimate one is nothing but a scam.

One website thats sells real traffic is Quality Traffic Supply. They are very easy to contact, and provide legitimate traffic. They are also based in the United States and have a top-notch website for ease of use and ordering.

Why Traffic Exchanges Suck

Gray Rollins 2008-05-04
Title: Why Traffic Exchanges Suck
The theory of a traffic exchange is great- you need traffic, they provide traffic. Signing up for a traffic exchange means you will be getting more traffic all right, but there is no guarantee that any of it will translate into sales. Traffic exchanges make no sales guarantees, and they don’t much mention your actually making money after getting this new traffic. So why do people join them?

When signing up with a traffic exchange, you are agreeing to visit other sites in that exchange network. For doing this, you will then get traffic from other members directed to your own site. So, site owners are looking at your site, browsing around, they may see something they like and buy it. Or, they may think your site is a great idea and mention it on their own site. Of course, in reality, it never seems to quite work that way.

Large sites don't have much reason to join traffic exchanges and look at other people's sites like this. Small businesses with fairly new sites do. So guess who joins traffic exchanges? Any advertising you might get on a site from being seen on a traffic exchange is going to be on a small, low budget site, which likely won't bring much traffic your way even if it does happen.

In addition, many traffic exchange systems are set up on a cheesy automatic timer so that you don't have to spend too long looking at any one site in order to get in your quota. The time each site is given is usually less than a minute, giving you such in-depth exposure to those small, beginning websites. Just imagine the business that will come your way from all of that.

Think about your own reasons for wanting to join up with a traffic exchange. Is it to seek out new life and new civilizations? To boldly find new websites and buy lots of stuff from them? Heck no. People want to join because it is cheap, or free, and you don't have to spend much time looking at those other sites in order to bring traffic to your own. So how many of the other guys do you suppose join the exchange to buy things from other people?

Most traffic exchanges work on a credit system- you have to earn credits to get viewers to your site. You earn credits by looking at sites, then those credits are used to send viewers to yours. And the quota is usually not one to one. Sometimes you have to look at two or three sites in order to get one person directed to your site. So, members are going to try to look at as many sites as possible to get their own traffic numbers up. Seeing as many sites as possible, combined with the short times they have to view each site, it is pretty unlikely that any one site will stand out enough to ever return to. So, if you want untargeted traffic for no real reasons, traffic exchanges are terrific. Otherwise, traffic exchanges suck.

How do I get more traffic to my site?

Gary Mattoc 2008-01-03
Title: How do I get more traffic to my site?
On the Internet, by the end of the day, it's all about traffic, and more so, it's all about relevant traffic. Relevant traffic is the lifeline of your online presence and you need to make a continuous effort to keep getting good traffic to your website. Now, you can get targeted traffic from:

* The search engines: The search engines are the primary source of your relevant traffic, in most of the cases. It doesn't cost you tons of money to get traffic from the search engines. Millions of users conduct billions of searches every month.

* Pay-per-click programs: Maybe there are not quite as hot as some of the search engines but they do guarantee targeted traffic more or less instantly. Sign up for a pay-per-click program like AdWords and you'll be getting traffic within fifteen minutes. Pay-per-click advertising options are present on independent content publishing websites too.

* Inbound links from other websites: If you publish compelling content then many website owners put your link on their websites to add value to their existing content. Such links can be put their voluntarily, or through link exchange. Link exchange is discouraged these days, so the best way of making others link to you is to produce high-class, linkable content, on a regular basis. You can even interact on various online forums to increase your link visibility.

* Emails: Up till a few years ago email marketing was considered the most effective advertising tool the world had ever witnessed. Spam killed its charm but in some quarters it still performs well, especially the opt-in email newsletters. Email advertising campaigns, provided they are done properly, are still the best way of getting highly targeted traffic.

* Blogs and RSS Feeds: Only the most ignorant can discount blogs and RSS feeds as highly productive tools in terms of generating targeted traffic. Blogs are a constant source of quality information and hence they get instant traffic from other websites and the search engines. RSS feeds, without being intrusive like emails, instantly notify people whenever you publish something new on your blog or website.

* Social media and bookmarking websites: Some of such websites are: Digg, Netscape, del.icio.us and StumbleUpon.

* Offline sources: If you prominently display your URL on your visiting cards, letter heads, brochures and other stationery you can get some good traffic from there too. I have seen people printing their URLs even on their T-shirts and vehicles.

In order to get traffic from all these sources, you have to take care how you create your website and how you organize your content. Given below are a few things you should constantly keep in mind while creating and maintaining your website, and while writing content for your website.

Stick to your central theme as much as possible; If you can keep consistent with your central theme, the more expert your content will appear. Don't try to create content for every interest under the sun (or the moon, or the stars). Think vertical if you want to get high-value traffic. Cover all the topics that belong to your central theme. It acts like fodder to the search engines. Search engines love specialised content; give it to them and they'll give you loads of traffic in exchange.

Sticking to your central theme also earns you great respect and loyalty, and also hundreds of inbound links. When you keep generating content on your subject, people take you as an expert and linking to you becomes a prestige factor. It also increases your keyword-density across your domain.

Provide information that helps your visitors; This is what keeps them coming back to your website. You cannot always be selling this thing or that thing. More than that, develop a bond with your visitors. Show them their happiness matters to you. Make your website a resource of useful information. Publish content that adds value. This is a sure-shot way of increasing traffic as well as loyalty. Information that provides help, for instance, how-to articles, get linked to a lot by other web masters and blog publishers, and this leads to higher rankings on various search engines.

Conduct a thorough keyword research before generating content; Most SEO campaigns fail to zero-in on the right keywords. You'll be surprised to know what all keywords and key expressions people use to find businesses such as yours. Target a few wrong keywords and you can bid good bye to an effort of six months of SEO. It's not always necessary to use keywords that your competitors are using. First of all, they might themselves be optimizing for the wrong keywords, and second, there might be a slew of keywords that are being used by the users but are being ignored by your competitors. Use your keyword research to find out such keywords and optimize your web pages for them. This will increase your traffic manifolds.

Create a simple, accessible but elegant design; When you create quick-loading, stylish and accessible web pages you accommodate the entire spectrum of your prospective market -- you don't exclude particular sections of the society. Even search engines prefer accessible websites because almost all accessible websites conform to the W3C web designing standards. Good design also means using the right colors (that cause no eye-strain) and right contrasts to assist seamless browsing. The navigation bar should be designed in such a manner that all your important pages should be reachable within 2-3 clicks. A well defined sitemap referencing all of your pages help your human visitors as well search engine crawlers.

Do well-organised onsite optimisation; Onsite optimization means using your keywords at all the right places like within the header tags ( ), as anchor text (, and especially in the navigation) and with the bulleted lists ( and ). In addition, try to highlight (bold) the occurrence of your keywords here and there, but don't overdo it. Although this is not necessary, use the keyword at least once in every paragraph.

Create a title (the text that comes between ) that not only carries your keywords, but also represents the true highlight of your page content. Never try to deceive your visitors with a title that does not completely represent the content of your page. Your title shows up on the search engine results pages when your link appears on them. A compelling title makes people click it, and having those keywords in your title that people are looking for increases their probability of being clicked.

Regularly create new, relevant content; People come to your website again and again if they are expecting something new there. Similarly, the search engines index and re-index your pages with greater frequency if you update your website regularly. Having many pages increases your chance of at least few of them getting ranked higher by the search engines.

Remain active on the Internet; Known people get more traffic on the Internet. Keep the buzz alive by maintaining an active blog, participating in the comments sections of other blogs and various subject-specific online forums. Blogs are a great way of getting high-quality traffic both from the search engines and from other blogs and websites. If you continuously generate quality posts and encourage productive conversations on your blog more and more people gradually start coming to your blog and some of that traffic gets spilled over to your actual business website. Another benefit of maintaining a popular blog is that if you put your business website link their it gets extra point when the search engines rank your website.

Link to others; Link to them and they'll link to you. Getting links on the web is a two-way activity especially if you are not well known (if you are a celebrity people tend to link to you anyway). If you select the outgoing links with caution it also tells the search engines that you link to quality information sources. People who are looking for such links will visit your website repeatedly knowing that you constantly add new links.

More often than not people to whom you link, link back to you.

Well, I could have written a 101 Ways of Increasing Traffic To Your Website but my main purpose was to give you exactly the pointers you can use to increase traffic. Follow the steps mentioned above and you'll definitely notice a surge in your online traffic.

Laser Targeted Traffic is the Only Sort You Want

floydthursby 2007-05-28
Title: Laser Targeted Traffic is the Only Sort You Want
The life blood of any website is traffic. With the traffic your website is a success without traffic your dreams of Internet success are destined to fail, but it is essential to get the right form of traffic. There are untold brokers and purveyors of traffic out there can promise to deliver traffic but very few of them can possibly deliver traffic to the same degree than those who sell traffic from expired domains.

The principle behind expired domains traffic is as follows. Every day there are thousands of domain names that for a number of reasons don't get renewed. In some cases this is deliberate, in others people just forget the number of domains they have. Whatever reason these domains don't get renewed is irrelevant but what is relevant is that is that in a lot of cases these domain names have existing traffic to some degree or another.

When the marketeer works his magic in this case is that you buy this existing traffic from the main names or associate domain names that would have a relationship to your business and get that traffic redirected to your main money site.

Let me illustrate further. You are about to launch a site on tropical fish. Now in the normal scheme of events you would purchase the domain name, design the site, and fill the site with unique copy or articles from a number of sources. Then you undertake your submissions to all the directories, possibly by some pay per click traffic from something like Adwords and sit back and wait for the traffic to arrive and the sales to be made.

Now there is another way, as we have said before you could purchase traffic from a different route. Now if we take a site about tropical fish we can then do some research into walked to my names are either coming up for renewal or have failed to be renewed.

In our case, for the sake of example, let's say a couple off the main aims have expired that relate to pet food supplies, tropical fish literature, whatever. These are Domain names that have been in existence a minimum of minimum of 12 months and possibly a lot longer. Thought I'll give Billy the same amount that you would have to put out front in your typical PPC campaign (pay per click) you may be able to purchase a group off expired domains or the rights to the traffic from these expired domains if this is all that is available.

Quite often in a matter of hours after your purchases have been made and the right DNS transfers have been made, your newly acquired traffic will start to arrive at your site. What in effect is happening is that people are trying to find the information that exists from the former pet food supplies site and are getting redirected to your site.

Where the really skilful marketeer profits in this scenario is that they pre book expired domain traffic first then built a money sign around the traffic.

Smart or what?

How to Effectively Use “guaranteed Traffic” for Maximum Response and Profit

Sean Mize 2007-10-08
Title: How to Effectively Use “guaranteed Traffic” for Maximum Response and Profit

One thing you must understand before you can become effective converting these types of traffic is that when you are purchasing high volumes of inexpensive traffic, you are really only purchasing exposures or views. So, for example, you might purchase 10,000 exit pop-unders for $10. At first glance, if you are new to the business, that might sound like a great deal (especially if you have no traffic now!). However, with exit traffic, only a small percentage of the people who see your site will have any interest at all your site, and be inclined to spend more than a split second at your site. Imagine that 10 people chose to spend some time at your site. In effect, you have really only purchased 10 visitors for $10, a cost of $1 per visitor.

For this type of traffic to be effective, you must do two things: 1) Get a higher number of the people who see your site to spend some time there, rather than quickly clicking out or 2) Get a higher conversion rate out of the ones who do spend some time there. In reality, you want to focus on improving both.

The key to this type of traffic is to create specific “landing pages” for each traffic source, rather than having all the traffic directed to your main web sales page. Keep in mind, that because these “high traffic pages” are going to have a specific purpose which is different from the purpose of your regular sales page, they must be a different page. You cannot make one web page effective for all your sources of traffic. Ideally you should have a different web page for every type of traffic you have, and use that web page as an ‘entry page’ to get the visitor into your web site.

This particular page, designed to capture the attention of the general public as they are leaving another site, will be one that stands out from typical web pages. The reader must immediately know what the page is about, or they will click out.

How do you make this type of page stand out? You can create a giant headline. This headline should be attention-grabbing, and command action. For example: TO LEARN EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DOG TRAINING, CLICK HERE NOW! That might be all you put on that page. If they click through, they will arrive at your regular sales page. Now, you have a true visitor---generally only people interested in dog training will click through to that page.

Another effective technique to use with high-volume traffic is a sign-up page. This will be a short headline and maybe one line of additional text, asking the reader to input their name and email address for more information. Make the ‘more information’ something of value, like a 10 day online course for free or a free ebook (or both).

How to Generate Traffic With Articles

Sean Mize 2007-10-08
Title: How to Generate Traffic With Articles

My favorite source of traffic is article-writing and submission. With article writing and submission, you will write articles related to the topic of your online product, and submit these articles to various article directories. The article directories publish your articles, and webmasters can publish your articles on their web sites and in their ezines and online newsletters. When an interested buyer reads your article, they can click through to your site via a link you will place at the end of the article (just like you should do when you finish reading this article). You will direct the reader to your web site, which will promote your product.

Done correctly, this form of traffic generation is extremely effective.

So, how do you do it?

1) Write an article about a topic that would interest your typical purchaser. For example, in this case, my typical purchaser is looking to make more money online. Traffic generation is of interest to people who want to make more money online. Your article must be both informative and easy to read. Do not feel that just because it is a free article, that you need to give them very little information. Actually teach your reader something they don’t know. They want to see that you have something to offer before they purchase your paid product, and the article is a great way to introduce yourself and your knowledge, to them. Note: proofread your article, or have someone read it for you. It is a waste of time to write articles with spelling and grammar mistakes; the editors will often reject your article for publication in their directory if there are spelling and grammar errors.

2) Include a section at the end of your article that tells the reader a little about you and your expertise. In this section, include a clickable link to your web site, so that interested readers can click through to your web site to learn more about you and your product.

3) Submit your article to some of the major article directories. Type in “article submission” or “article directories” into your favorite search engine to find a list of directories.

4) Start the process over again. Write many articles and submit them to many directories. Keep in mind, you are not the only person writing articles online; in fact, in the last few months, article writing has had exponential growth.

5) Once you have submitted your articles to a number of directories, you should begin to see a dramatic increase in traffic.

The How and Why of Buying Traffic for Your Website

Cliff Posey 2006-08-28
Title: The How and Why of Buying Traffic for Your Website

Need more traffic on your website? You may want to consider buying it. When you buy traffic, you are almost guaranteed to get traffic. Many of the services that dedicate their businesses to building traffic for other websites offer a guaranteed number of visitors on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, making this one of these easiest and fastest ways to get traffic on your website.

If you have never heard of buying traffic before, or if you want to learn more about how it works, here are some frequently asked questions in regards to traffic buying that can help.

What Kind of Businesses Buy Traffic?
Buying web traffic is not necessarily a new Internet marketing concept. In fact, there are many online businesses that have been doing it for years. Though many of these companies are established already, they are not the only types of businesses who use such services. Sometimes the only way that a new, unknown site can get traffic to their website is by buying it. Competing with large sites is tough, and sometimes, search engine optimization techniques aren't enough to boost a new site's rankings in the search engines.

Where Can You Get Traffic?
There are many online services that sell website traffic. To find a sampling, simply type buy traffic or get traffic into any Internet search engine. You will be faced with so many different options that you will have a hard time choosing which service to go with.

If you are looking for referrals, consider visiting forums that have members who are online business owners or web developers. Many of the people who post in these forums may have already used one or two traffic building companies. In most cases, they will be able to offer you information on their experiences.

If you are unable to get a referral, don't base your decision on cost alone. There may or may not be a difference between a traffic building service that offers 10,000 visitors per month for $20.00 and one that offers 10,000 for $30.00. Always inquire about services, as well as costs. Good questions to ask include:

How do you bring traffic to my website?
Do you ever use spamming techniques?
What type of traffic will be targeted: specific countries, specific languages, etc?
Can you guarantee that I will get traffic?
Will you provide me with stats?
Do you offer customer support?
How much will you charge me if I want to buy traffic?
Why is your service better than others?

Where Do Visitors Come From?
When you buy traffic, most of the visitors you get will be from banner ads, pop-ups, pop-unders, and layers ads. The ads are placed all around the net. When a web visitor clicks on the ad, they will be taken directly to your website.

Is Traffic Guaranteed?
This is a tough question to answer because it depends on the service that you use to buy traffic. Some services guarantee that you will get traffic and others do not. Even if they do guarantee traffic, they cannot guarantee sales. They cannot even guarantee that when you get traffic, it will stay on your site for more than one second.

This is very important to remember when deciding whether or not to buy traffic. Whatever you decide to do, make sure to track your traffic, your sales, and your overall results. Once you have analyzed everything, you will be able to easily determine if buying traffic to get traffic is in your best interests.
