When most of us think of astrology, we think about our natal sign and not much else. Do you know what some of the major influences are though, that define these Zodiac signs. First and foremost is the Sun. It is the center of all life and represents a person’s personality and spirit. It is the planetary ruler of the sign Leo. The Moon, on the other hand, gives us our Soul. The Moon is the ruling planet of the Zodiac sign Cancer. It is very much associated with the mother and with maternal instincts. In Chinese astrology, the Moon represents Yin, while the Sun represents Yang. Mercury rules over Gemini and Virgo. It is the planet of the mind and of communication. In other words, it is the planet of the idea and the means to communicate the idea. The planet Venus rules over Taurus and Libra. Venus is associated with characteristics and principles of harmony and beauty. It is of course, concerned with love. It is also concerned with the pleasure we derive from personal possessions. Mars is the ruling planet for the dynamic Aries, and to some astrologers, Scorpio, although modern astrologers now determine that Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio. Mars is the planet that is concerned with the things you want, and how you go about getting those things. Jupiter is associated with pleasure and enjoyment. It is the ruler of Sagittarius and is also associated with principles of growth, religion and higher education. Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn and is associated with principles such as reality and restrictions, boundaries and rules. Saturn was traditionally the ruler of Aquarius until the discovery of the planet Uranus. Neptune is the ruling planet of Pisces and is associated with deception, illusions, spirituality and psychic phenomena. The planet Pluto is the ruling planet of Scorpio and is associated with the concept of transformation.

Title: Can I Predict My Future Using Astrology ?
|
|
Many people passionately believe that the future can be divined by the positions of the planets and sun and moon. Astrology may not be a science, but it has still proven to be eerily accurate. In this article, we'll uncover how the heavens may impact life here on earth. Astrology is a group of systems, traditions and beliefs by which astrologers acquire information about a person's personality, strengths and weaknesses. The zodiac is the belt or band of constellations through which the sun, moon and planets transit across the sky. They noted these constellations and so attached a particular significance to them. The main traditions used by modern astrologers are Western, Chinese and Indian versions. Indian and Western versions use an astrological chart or horoscope for an event based on the position of the sun, moon and planets at the moment of the event. Indian version uses the sidereal zodiac, linking the signs of the zodiac to their original constellations, while Western version uses the tropical zodiac. Each moment in time is significant in astrology. By focusing on the time of an individual's birth, an astrologer can uncover existential information about them, because it is believed that there is a meaningful link between when someone is born and the qualities inherent to his personality. Astrologers study our birth charts to gain insight into our potential ways of being, gifts, challenges, opportunities and internal conflicts. By using astrology, people can make meaningful choices about the direction of their future. Astrologers gauge timing based on knowledge of how planets act when traveling through the different zodiac signs. This is from where the idea that they can predict the future is derived. The term zodiac denotes an annual cycle of twelve stations along the ecliptic, the apparent path of the sun across the heavens through the constellations that divide the ecliptic into twelve equal zones of celestial longitude. The zodiac is the first known celestial coordinate system. The sign that a person is born under in believed to determine their personality traits. For instance, people born under the astrological sign of Scorpio are believed to be forceful, intuitive and passionate while someone who is a Pisces is supposed to be sensitive, kind and unworldly. Many people truly believe that the time of their birth cosmically brands them with certain characteristics. By consulting their stars, planets and Zodiac sign, they divine information that can be used to help make choices in their life. While this may seem implausible to some people, astrology has repeatedly proven itself to be quite accurate. Title: Vast Starry Mess - Astrology, Organizing Your Stars
|
|
To be put quite simply, astrology is the study of the stars. The stars as referred to in astrology refer to the planets, the sun, and the moon. Astrology has been used throughout history as a form of entertainment, a part of religion, and a part of daily life. Astrology begins with the mapping of the planets, including the sun and the moon. This map is called an astrological chart. Most often an astrological chart is designed for someone at birth. To determine the position of the planets, sun, and moon for an astrological chart the astrologist needs to know the exact location of the birth, the exact time, and the date of the birth. The FindSearchInfo.com link at the bottom of the article has some amazing astrology charts! The planets found on the astrological chart are the Sun, the moon, Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, Uranus, Mercury, and Pluto. The earth is not considered because it is the point in the universe from which we view the other planets. The sun and moon are considered planets in astrology, which is hard for some people to remember. In the astrological chart consists of twelve houses. Each house represents an aspect of life, such as romance, career, family, etc. Since there are only ten planets, each astrological chart will have two vacant houses. Vacant houses represent aspects of life which, for whatever reason, the cosmos do not feel you need to work on. In other words, you may have mastered this aspect of life in another life or realm. The position of the sun also determines your sun sign. This is the first aspect of astrology studied on the astrological chart. Next, the positions of the planets are studied in relation to their influence on the sun sign. Finally, the moon sign and position is studied in relation to the rest of the astrological chart. The interpretation of an astrological birth chart as a whole will paint the picture of the original personality of the individual. The birth chart found through astrology later in life may not appear accurate. This is due to the fact that other astrological phenomena in conjunction with life events alter the personality over time. Astrology is the study of this astrological chart, as well as the prediction of the future based on how other astrological phenomena might influence the original readings. The interpretation of the astrological chart is also a large part of the art of astrology, and is necessary for accurate predictions. The use of astrology in predictions is considered an art for a reason. Not only must the astrology expert interpret the birth chart and the current astrological phenomena, but the astrology expert must also interpret any astrological phenomena that may have altered the personality of the individual over time. Amazingly, life changing events can often be seen using astrology readings from the time of the event. Many major events in history can also be marked by astrology readings. For example, the fall of the Roman Empire was marked by astrological phenomena. The horror of 9/11 and the destruction of the twin towers was also awaited by those who study astrology. Even the birth of Christ was marked by astrological phenemona. Need quality astrology materials? check out my http://www.FindSearchInfo.com/astrology.html site for some incredible deals!

Title: Galaxies And Planets
|
|
It is getting to the point where planets are being found everywhere. Fifty here, fifty there, well maybe I am exaggerating a little, but there are a lot of planets out there. Now that we know for sure that planets exist outside our own solar system, maybe we should stop counting the ones that we find. Why do I say this? Our galaxy is only one of billions, or even more. It contains over 100,000,000,000 stars. If only one star in three has planets around it and lets say the average amount of planets is 4, we are looking at a heck of a lot of planets my friends. That is roughly 133,333,333,333 planets in only our own galaxy. If only one planet of these in 1,000 has life, we are looking at 13,333,333 planets containing life. If only 1 in 1,000 of these has intelligent life, we are look at 13,333 planets in our galaxy that contain intelligent life. Now you know why we are searching for signals from planets with intelligent life, it is because the numbers favor the chances of it being there. Our world can't be that special that we are the only intelligent beings in the galaxy. It would be very closed minded of us to believe this. Even if we take the bible as a literal interpretation of God's word, I don't think there is anything in there that prohibits life in other places besides Earth. Maybe I will receive an argument on this, but this is what I believe. The Andromeda galaxy is our neighbor galaxy. It is classified as M31. The M stands for Messier Object. Charles Messier was a French astronomer that lived from 1730 to 1817. He complied a list of objects that were difficult to tell from comets. Of course the telescopes then were not as good as the ones today and today this isn't a problem. There are 110 of these objects. Andromeda is a larger galaxy than our own. It is pretty near us in cosmic terms and is headed for a collision with the Milky Way. Don't worry though, it will take about 4 billion years before this happens. Even when it does happen there is not much chance of being smashed into. The stars are just too far apart. NASA describes it this way, picture two grains of sand separated by a football field. That is about the distance of the stars from each other in each galaxy. When the two galaxies do meet, they will pass into each other at the speed of about 1,000,000 mph, Ouch! Some day the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will be one. The main problem with the two galaxies passing into each other is the gas and debris that each contain. Recent findings indicate that the Andromeda Galaxy contains over a trillion stars, which is far more than the Milky Way, but here is the kicker, they have also found that the Milky Way is more massive, due to more dark matter being present. Dark matter is the matter that we can't see. It is estimated that 90% of the universe is made of it. Because of all this dark matter in our own galaxy, it would have been interesting to see how this effects the collision between the two galaxies. Forgetting the collision for a second, the potential for planets in the Andromeda Galaxy is even far greater than our own, because of the number of stars in that galaxy. Scientists believe that the same physics is in effect in all galaxies and throughout the universe. I wonder if this could be a wrong assumption, even in small ways? For example, what if there was a planet where things didn't work quite the same. For example, we are used to seeing things fall down in a straight line. What if there was a planet where there was similar gravity to our own, but for some unknown reason, things that fell hit the planet on an angle? With so many different planets and so many different compositions, things could be quite different than what we are used to, even if it didn't violate the physical laws. Would it be possible to find a galaxy that had no planets or that had at least 5 or 6 planets for every star? These are extreme cases, but you just can't rule anything out when you are talking about the unknown. Our own galaxy has satellite galaxies circling around it, like planets orbiting the sun. Two of these galaxies are the Small Magellanic Cloud and the Large Magellanic Cloud. The nearest galaxy to our own was thought to be the Large Magellanic Cloud, at 163,000 light years away. In 1994 it was discovered that the he Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy was closer at only about 80,000 light years. The Magellanic Cloud galaxy is like a blob of stars. It can only be seen in the southern hemisphere. This galaxy is disintegrating because we are absorbing it. The gradational tug of war between this galaxy and our own is creating thousands of star clusters between the two. The third closest galaxy to us, at about 200,000 light years, is the Small Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy. Again this galaxy is being absorbed by our galaxy. Gas is being created by dying stars and so are star clusters, as they are being pulled away from the Small Magellanic Cloud. There is also a debris trail that stretches from both of these galaxies into our own. This is another galaxy that can only be seen from the southern hemisphere. Thanks to these two galaxies, our own is getting bigger. Both of the Magellanic Cloud galaxies are considered to be primitive and neither is said to have as many heavy elements as our own galaxy. The chances of finding planets with life in the two Magellanic Cloud galaxies are much slimmer than in our own or the Andromeda galaxy. This is because there are a lot of very young stars in them, some being as young as only twelve million years old. This doesn't give much time, if any, for planetary development. Our Milky Way is about 90,000 light years in diameter and has a circumference of about 270,000 light years. It is disk shaped and is about 2,400 light years thick. None of these figures are exact and can be off by as much as 50,000 light years, no one knows for sure. Our galaxy is part of a group of galaxies known as the local group. This group is in itself part of the Virgo Supercluster. Other dwarf galaxies that orbit our Milky Way are Canis Major, Sagittarius, Ursa Minor, Sculptor, Sextans, Fomax and Leo. Some are so small that they are only 500 light years across. These tiny galaxies would be Carina, Draco and Leo II, all dwarfs. It is thought that there might be more of these galaxies orbiting us that have much less mass and therefore are going undetected for the moment. It is felt that they might be mostly gas and dust. There is a ripple effect at the southern edge of our galaxy and this is thought to be caused by the Magellanic Clouds as they orbit us. The speed of the approaching Andromeda Galaxy is about 100 to 140 kilometers per second. That is roughly 67 to 93 miles per second. No one is quite sure how fast our galaxy is traveling. There have been estimates that range form 100 km to 1,000 km. per second. That is somewhere between 67 to to 667 miles per second and even this might be wrong. Some of the recently found planets from outside our solar system include one that was discovered orbiting a star that was considered quite normal. The planet is about 5.5 times the size of the Earth. It is further away from its sun than we are from ours. The star it orbits is 28,000 light years away and the planet is thought to be rocky. The star it orbits is a red dwarf. That means it is about 50 times less powerful than our sun, but is the most common type of star in the universe. Some Earth sized planets have been detected, but these were only orbiting dying neutron stars. A neutron star is a star that comes from a supernova explosion. It is VERY dense. You are talking about a star that is only about 10 km(about 6.5 miles) in radius, yet has a mass about 1.5 times that of our sun, which has a radius of 695,000 km (about 463,333 miles). It is believed that any planet orbiting a sun of this type MUST be a dead world. Another planet was found at a distance of about 20 light years. It is rotating around a red sun that is about 1.5 times the size of our sun. The planet is considered to be very Earth like and its discovery was announced in April, 2007 by a team of European astronomers. There is evidence to suggest oceans. The diameter is 12,000 miles and its mass is 5 times that of Earth. Some scientists are already saying that this planet might just have the best chance for life so far. I believe that this statement is far too premature. The planet is located in Libra. Have you ever wondered why we are finding planets that are usually huge? The answer is simple, it is hard to find planets because their suns block out their light. The bigger the planet the more light it gives off and the easier it is to find, not that finding planets is easy. Will we find a planet that has life on it? It seems that the universe has a surprise for us. That surprise is that there are many planets out there and many are similar to our own world. There may be millions and billions of societies waiting for us, or trying to avoid us, whatever the case may be Copyright © 2007 by About Facts Net and its licensors. All rights reserved. Title: Astrology - What''s it all about.
|
|
There is a lot more to astrology than the star sign predictions you see in magazines and papers. According to Hindu mythology, the knowledge of Astrology, Yoga and various other ancient skills was handed down by the Gods to the Sages of the time. The basis of astrology is that the behaviour of man is affected by the planets, i.e. the Sun, Moon, Mercury Mars etc, and when a person is born, the position of the planets at the time of birth has fundamental impact on the person’s life. The key to astrology is the astrological chart or the horoscope. Each person has their own chart based on the time and location of their birth. Even a difference of 5 minutes can result in different charts, and also people born at the same time but in different countries can have different charts. It is the astrological chart that is used for making predictions about a person. The chart consists of 12 houses, each representing an area of life, for example the 10th house represents a person’s career. Hence predictions can be made about different areas of a person’s life like career, marriage, windfalls, health etc by inspecting the planets within each of the corresponding houses on the chart. Now you may be asking how the predictions can be made. Well as mentioned earlier, it all depends on how the planets were positioned when you were born. Based on the positioning, different planets will exist in different houses causing different effects which could either be good or bad for the house in question. So for instance you could have the Sun and Mars placed in your 10th house which is your career house. This positioning could mean that you will have a high flying career or it could mean that you will have a really bad career. Also because the planets are constantly moving in and out of the houses, your career could go through highs and lows in your lifetime. Similarly the positioning of the planets in all the other houses will influence other areas of your life. Now the actual interpretation of the astrological chart varies, i.e. if a planet is in a certain house at a certain time, different people may give different interpretations, for instance one person may say something is bad and someone else may say the same thing is really bad. But you have to bear in mind that astrology is not an exact science, and astrological interpretation should be taken more as probability guide rather than as a surety. For example if you have good planet positioning in your 10th house then there is a probability that you will have a good career, not a surety. Now you may think that the above is all a pile of cobblers, and that there is no value in astrology. But think again. The basis of astrology is how planets affect you. Now the planets affect the tides, and a human being is made up of a lot of water which could be influenced by the planets in the same way that the tides are. Hence the planets could be affecting a persons personality (mood and behaviour) causing the person to respond in certain ways and hence influencing the outcomes of various events. Again remember, it is not being said that astrology is giving you a precise prediction for the future, but that astrology is providing possibilities for future outcomes, depending on a person’s behaviour which could be influenced by the position of the planets. Ending on another interesting point, a person born in a particular month may not be the star sign that they think they should be according to general media. For example some one born on the 30th March who according to common understanding should be an Aries, may actually not be an Aries. Again depending on the astrological chart, they may be classified as some other star sign, maybe a Leo or Gemini or some other sign. So you may actually not be the star sign you think you are. Title: Soul Mate Astrology
|
|
Astrology, which is almost mathematical, lends a very interesting insight into the concept of soul mates. With an astrological technique called synastry, one can successfully determine the degree of compatibility and connection between two individuals. This technique involves the comparison of two birth charts to decipher the symbolic role of the planets at the time of birth. There are many important aspects in this comparison, with the two most important planets being the Sun and the Moon. Others planets that play an important role are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, along with the twelve signs and twelve houses. When reading any birth chart, the three most important things to keep in mind are the sun, the moon and the ascendant (or the rising sun). The moon symbolizes where we are coming from, the sun reflects where we are going, and the ascendant explains how we are going to get there. The ascendant (or rising sign) is the sign that was rising on the horizon at the exact moment of your birth. The ascendant represents the exact flowering of your life on planet Earth. The ascendant helps us in knowing who we are in this world. The sign on the ascendant represents our outer packaging and behavior on display to the world. If your ascendant is located in the same Zodiac Sign as your partner’s sun, it indicates a great potential for intimacy and attraction. Your ascendant sign (your outer personality) attracts and draws in your sun sign (your intimate and personal energy). Sign conjunctions with the ascendant are also very important in judging attraction when comparing one your ascendant with your partner’s moon, Venus, and Mars. Last but not least, the sun sign in a man's chart and the moon sign in a woman's chart are particularly important to discover soul mate patterns. In this cross combination, the creative energy of the man blends with the emotional needs of the woman. Having the man's sun in the same sign as the woman's moon is definitely a "soul mate" connection. Astrology is a science that unravels many mysteries that we strive to understand. One such concept is the soul mate connection, and it requires an in-depth study of the planets to arrive at this knowledge. Finding Your Soul Mate provides detailed information on Soul Mate, Finding Your Soul Mate, Soul Mate Astrology, Soul Mate Jewelry and more. Finding Your Soul Mate is affiliated with Romance Books.

Title: The Meaning of the Planets in the Zodiac
|
|
The Sun is the main focus in astrology and is the answer we give when someone else asks "What's your sign?" It represents the true will and nature of a person, who you are and can become during your lifetime. These characteristic are conscious, meaning you most likely will be aware that you have them. They are also apparent to others.
The Moon as nearly equals the importance of the sun but it rules over the emotional side of life. Responses and reactions that were embedded through learning, memory and teaching reside here. This side of your personality might not be as obvious to you since it is subconscious.
The planet Mercury rules over thoughts and how they are projected. Communication and learning are also influenced by this sign. It demonstrates how you travel through the world and react to what is around you.
The planet Venus rules over interpersonal relationships and how the self reacts to these situations. Love, sexuality, attraction and marriage are all influenced by this sign. Appropriate since the mythological goddess of love is Venus herself. Perception of love and beauty is housed here. The sign of Venus is often the same as the Sun sign since the two can never be more than forty five degrees from each other. If they do correlate, there will be a balance in this house. If they don't, there might be some internal conflict.
The planet Mars is representative of physical, mental, practical and emotional energies. These four energies can manifest themselves in a variety of ways. Physical energy drives work habits, athletic ability and stamina in life. Mental energies dictate thought, communication and pursuit of ambitions. Practical energies are what get you through every day life- responsibilities, duties and the like. Emotional energies are behind feelings, sexual desire and creative energy. What sign this planet is in decides which type of energy is going to be expressed the most. Aries, Sagittarius and Leo relate to physical energy while Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn relate to practical energy. Aquarius, Libra and Gemini relate to mental energy and Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces to emotional energy.
The planet Jupiter remains in the same sign for about a year and it is normal for people born within the same year to have identical Jupiter signs. Jupiter relates to methods and capacity of understanding and knowledge. Philosophical, societal and religious views can be influenced by this planet.
Saturn stays within the same sign for about two and a half years. This planet relates to success and the means used to attain it. Fame, honor and respect are related characteristics. Like with Jupiter, those born within that time period of each other will have the same Saturn sign.
The "outer planets" cover an even longer time span. Uranus spends seven years in each sign. It influences the way that those born during this timeframe exert their independence or desire to be free. Neptune spends fourteen years in each sign and doesn't make much of a mark on personalities, only giving some extra depth to the imaginations and intuitions of the generation born in that sign. Pluto is no longer considered a planet and astrologers are moving away from including the already unimportant planet.

Title: Golden Principal of in Predictive Technology

Benefically placed planets
1. Planets placed in exaltation, own or friendly signs and in angles from each other becomes mutually highly beneficial planets. If such planets are placed in angles from the ascendant (Lagna) the combination becomes all the more powerful. This is further accentuated if one of the planets is in the tenth house. This gives rise to rajyoga. Such planets, even if by nature antagonistic and malefic to each other, will work for each other. Their association, aspect on each other or any other type of sambandha will not be taken to be adverse. Their results would be experienced during the mutual major-periods sub periods, and sub-sub periods of the planets. However, as stated above the planets have to be placed in exaltation, own or friendly signs, otherwise the results will not be forthcoming as expected.
Results of Planets in
different signs (Rasis)
2. The results set out for each planet in different signs are modified according to the nature and strength of the dispositor. If Saturn is placed in Aries and Mars is exalted in Capricorn, results that Saturn is likely to give will not be so bad as in the case when Mars is in its sign of debilitation or in an inimical one.
Effects of a combust planets
3. A planet is taken to be COMBUST when it is very close to the Sun. A beneficial planet when combust becomes powerless is incapable of giving good results. It may give some adverse results. Its basic properties will suffer. A combust malefic planet is likely to give worse than normal results. Following are the degrees within which planets become combust when they come near the Sun: You must keep in mind the combust malefic degrees.
(i) Mars 17
(ii) Mercury 13
(iii) Jupiter 11
(iv) Venus 9
(v) Saturn 15
Generally the combustion of Mercury is not taken seriously since it is never farther than 28 degrees from the Sun. The Moon does not become combust.
Vargotamma planets
4. A planet is said to be vargottama if it is in the same sign in the Navansha chart as the sign in which it is placed in the birth chart. If the planet is in a movable sign it will be vargottama if it is in the first ninth part of the sign, i.e., it is within 0 degrees 0 minutes and 3 degrees 20 minutes in the sign. For fixed signs the planet will be vargottama if it is in the middle ninth part of the sign, between 13 deg 20 min and 16 deg 40 min, and for common signs it will be vargottama if it is in the last ninth part of the sign, between 26 deg 40 min and 30 deg 0 min. The information regarding a vargottamma planet is tabulated as follows:
(i) Aries 0 deg 0 min-3 deg 20 min
(ii) Taurus 13 deg 20 min-16 deg 40 min
(iii) Gemini 26 deg 40 min-30 deg 0 min
(iv) Cancer 0 deg 0 min-3 deg 20 min
(v) Leo 13 deg 20 min-16 deg 40 min
(vi) Virgo 26 deg 40 min-30 deg 0 min
(vii) Libra 0 deg 0 min-3 deg 20 min
(viii) Scorpio 13 deg 20 min-16 deg 40 min
(ix) Sagittarius 26 deg 40 min-30 deg 0 min
(x) Capricorn 0 deg 0 min-3 deg 20 min
(xi) Aquarius 13 deg 20 min-16 deg 40 min
(xii) Pisces 26 deg 40 min-30 deg 0 min
A vargottama planet is as powerful as a planet in its own sign.
Nature of planets
5. Following are the rules for determining the Nature of a planet for a particular Ascendant (Lagna). The nature determined in this manner is also used for the determination of the nature of the sub-period and inter-period in a major-period:
(i) The owner of a triangular house- the first (for the purpose of ascertaining the nature of a planet the first house, which is both an angular and a triangular house, is taken as the latter), the fifth or the ninth house-is a beneficial planet.
House Ist to Triangular
(ii) The owner of an angular house will be neutral. Its nature will depend upon the ownership of the other house it owns. In case of a luminary, it will be neutral. A naturally malefic planet, like Mars or Saturn, owning an angular house will not give adverse results. A naturally beneficial planet, like Venus or some Jupiter, owning an angular house will not give favourable results, unless it also owns the first house, or some other good house. The Moon and Mercury are by themselves naturally beneficial planets. But if the Moon is waning and is within 72 degrees of the Sun, it will be a malefic planet. A waxing Moon close to the Sun will also be weak. Mercury, if influenced by a naturally malefic planet will be a malefic planet.
Angular Houses
Fundamental Principles
6. A planet owning either the third, sixth, or eleventh house will be a bad planet. A planet owning two of the above three houses, will be a very bad planet.
7. A planet owning the eighth house will be a malefic planet, unless it also owns the first house, and is placed in a house owned by it. If the planet owning the eighth house is a luminary, it will be neutral planet.
8. If a planet owns the second or twelfth house and another house, the nature of the planet will be determined according to the other house owned by the planet, since for the purpose of ascertaining the nature, the second and the twelfth houses are taken to be neutral.
9. A planet owning the second house will have the ability to terminate the life of the native when the longevity has come to an end. Such a planet is called a maraka planet. A naturally beneficial planet that owns the seventh house will be a maraka. This does not hold true for a naturally malefic planet.
10. A maraka planet owning a triangle will first give good results in its period, and may later and the life of the native. Such a maraka may be termed a good maraka.
11. A planet owning an angle and a triangle (including the first house) will be an excellent planet for the chart and shall be capable of giving the very best results in its periods.
12. A planet that owns two houses, one of which is a good house and the other an adverse house as above, shall be classified as good-but-impure planet. It must be kept in mind that in this case if the mooltrikona sign of the planet falls in an adverse house, the planet will have more malefic tendency in it. If on the other hand, the mooltrikona sign falls in a good house, the planet will have more beneficial tendency.
13. The fifth and ninth houses are the primary houses that give wealth. The seventh and tenth houses are givers of happiness- both for making as a business etc.
14. The houses of a category shall gain in strength with their distance from the ascendant. Thus among the triangular houses, the ninth house is more powerful than the fifth, and the fifth is more powerful than the first. Similarly, the eleventh house is more adverse than the sixth, and the sixth is stronger than the third, etc.
15. A planet owning a more powerful house will be able to overcome the influence of a planet owning a less powerful house. Thus a good combination formed by a planet owning the fifth house can be disturbed by the owner of the eleventh house, but not by that of the third house.
16. When the owners of an angle and a triangle join, aspect each other or form a 'sambandha' (connection) between themselves in any laid down manner, the combination shall be highly beneficial for the native.
17. A neutral planet in 'sambandha' (connection) with a planet will take on the nature of the planet with which it is in sambandha.
18. (a) A Node of the Moon will give results of the houses the planet with which it is in association owns. The Node will also give results of the house it occupies. The nature of the Node will be influenced by the nature of the planet with which it is associated. If there is no association, the nature will be determined by the sign and asterism occupied by Node.
(b) When the Node occupies a house it becomes the most powerful factor in giving the results of that house. Therefore, occupation of an adverse house by the Node will make it an adverse planet for the chart.
(c) The Node becomes an excellent planet when it occupies an angle and is associated with the owner of a triangle, or, it is placed in a triangle and is associated with the owner of an angle.
The above are some of the golden principles in the art of predictive astrology. Readers may please note that some of the principles may not work at all in modern times and in case of doubt on any point, may refer to other classics. The doubts and study made may be mailed to the Editor for consideration of Kailash Astro-Research Team.
To make this article comprehensive in itself, the following tables indicate how a planet is excellent, good or bad, neutral etc, for a particular Lagna from Aries to Pisces. The information about Marka planets for each Lagna shall prove to be useful for day to day predictions.
