If you are planning to work from home, you are not alone. Today, millions of people around the world would love to do so, too. Working from home makes good sense because it can save thousands of your precious dollars in commuting, gas, or day care costs, but above all, you'll have plenty of time to spend with the kids and family. Before you decide to work from home, ask yourself two important questions. What specific opportunity are you looking for? And what are you really good at? If you have an answer to these, you can build a successful business or career, from the comfort of your home. One popular option, among numerous others, is work at home typing. Today, people are making a lot of money by just knowing how to type. This may seem too good to be true but the fact remains, if you are fast and accurate in your typing, you can make a lot of money, too. In essence, work at home typing involves jobs assigned by clients, e.g., documents, forms, letters, articles or papers which need to be typed in a professional, accurate and time-bound manner. For a start, you may offer your typing services on a part-time basis; however, once you've established a manageable client base, you may graduate to a full-time position. Fortunately, finding work at home typing jobs was never so easy, as a growing number of people are using the internet in their daily lives. You will find innumerable sites where clients offer home typing jobs, among several others. You may even contact companies personally and offer your home typing services to them. What's important is to keep trying. Do not be discouraged if you meet with some initial resistance. Sooner or later, you are bound to succeed. If you have reasonably good typing skills, you may offer a work at home typing service online. There are several companies which assign typing jobs and if you have the resolve, are fast and accurate in your work, then an online home typing service may well be the right one for you. There are various types of online home typing jobs and you may choose the one that matches your skills. Some of these include advertisement typing, information processing, spreadsheets, reports, forms, processing orders, replying to incoming mail and more. Make sure you screen each offer for scams, before signing up. A smart way to separate the legitimate from the fraudulent is to focus on the company itself. Some promise lots of money but demand a starter fee, with no convincing reason to support it. Try not to deal with companies that fail to answer your queries promptly, or those which do not provide mailing addresses and other contact information. Remember, there are also many legitimate companies and if you work professionally and deliver jobs on time, you can also join a growing list of successful, work at home typing businesses. During the last couple of years, people have been seeking out new and different ways to work at home online. There have popped up new and exciting new ways to work at home and one of the most popular has proven to be "typing at home". Why, because of it`s nature of being easy to do and little or no experience is needed. For a mom at home this opportunity is specially suitable as it is not much time consuming, and all you are doing is filling in various forms and submitting then online. This work includes, among other things, typing ads for various companies where the typist gets access to a data base of companies. How about making money? Well, you can make quite a bit of money as you get commissions when your typed ads are making sales. The clever person is always trying to find a company with no or little advertisements but with high demand products or services. So far, there there have almost been an abundance of this kind of work because the companies are always in need of people writing their ads for them. So the more you type ads, the more you`ll earn. The best way to start is joining companies that provide you with step by step instructions how to do the work. In the beginning the earnings may start small, but the more ads you do, the more you will earn. Some companies even give you a trial period of 30 days. As with most skills, typing at home is quite easy to do once you get used to it. But it is important that you join a company that will give you the proper service and support as you`ll usually need this in your start up. Join a legitimate program that can teach you the fundamentals about making money typing from the comfort of your own home. Usually these companies will also give you a list of suitable companies that need your services. But if a statement sounds too good to be true, it usually is! Here is an article by Better Business Bureaus about things to look out for if you don`t want to be scammed online. Reliability Report for Synergy Investments Inc written by BBB (Better Business Bureaus) "Many questionable work-at-home offers are perpetrated through classified advertising. No matter where you find classified ads online, you are likely to find some false and misleading claims. For example, some classified ads promote quick and easy get rich ventures, traditional pyramid schemes, or the basic chain letter scenario. Traditional work-at-home schemes, such as making handicrafts or stuffing envelopes, have been replaced by offers to use your home PC to make money fast in your spare time. To protect yourself, learn to recognize the most common work-at-home scams. ASSEMBLY WORK AT-HOME: Typical Ad -- "Assembly work at home! Easy money assembling craft items. No experience necessary." This scheme requires you to invest hundreds of dollars in instructions and materials and many hours of your time to produce items such as baby booties, toy clowns, and plastic signs for a company that has promised to buy them. Once you have purchased the supplies and have done the work, the company often decides not to pay you because your work does not meet certain "standards." You are then left with merchandise that is difficult or impossible to sell. CHAIN LETTER: Typical Ad -- "Make copies of this letter and send them to people whose names we will provide. All you have to do is send us ten dollars for our mailing list and labels. Look at the chart below and see how you will automatically receive thousands in cash return!!!" The only people who benefit from chain letters are the mysterious few at the top of the chain who constantly change names, addresses, and post office boxes. They may attempt to intimidate you by threatening bad luck, or try to impress you by describing themselves as successful professionals who know all about non-existent sections of alleged legal codes. ENVELOPE STUFFING: Typical Ad -- "$350 Weekly Guaranteed! Work two hours daily at home stuffing envelopes." When answering such ads, you may not receive the expected envelopes for stuffing, but instead get promotional material asking for cash just for details on money-making plans. The details usually turn out to be instructions on how to go into the business of placing the same kind of ad the advertiser ran in the first place. Pursuing the envelope ad plan may require spending several hundred dollars more for advertising, postage, envelopes, and printing. This system feeds on continuous recruitment of people to offer the same plan. There are several variations on this type of scheme, all of which require the customer to spend money on advertising and materials. According to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, "In practically all businesses, envelope stuffing has become a highly mechanized operation using sophisticated mass mailing techniques and equipment which eliminates any profit potential for an individual doing this type of work-at-home. The Inspection Service knows of no work-at-home promotion that ever produces income as alleged." MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING: Typical Ad -- "Our products make it possible for people like you to earn more than they ever have in their lives! Soon you can let others earn money for you while you and your family relax and enjoy your affluent lifestyle! No experience necessary." Multi-level marketing, a direct sales system, is a well-established, legitimate form of business. Many people have successfully sold the products of reputable companies to their neighbors and co-workers. These people are independent distributors who sell popular products and also recruit other distributors to join them. On the other hand, illegitimate pyramid schemes can resemble these legitimate direct sales systems. An obvious difference is that the emphasis is on recruiting others to join the program, not on selling the product. For a time, new recruits who make the investment to buy product samples keep money coming into the system, but very few products are sold. Sooner or later the people on the bottom are stuck with a saturated market, and they cannot make money by selling products or recruiting. When the whole system collapses, only a few people at the top have made money-and those at the bottom have lost their investment. ONLINE BUSINESS: Typical Ad -- "Turn your Home Computer into a Cash Machine! Get computer diskette FREE! Huge Selection of Jobs! No experience needed! Start earning money in days! Many companies want to expand, but don't want to pay for office space. You save them money by working in the comfort of your home." This is typical of advertisements showing up uninvited in your e-mail-an old scheme advertised in a new way. You pay for a useless guide to work-at-home jobs-a mixture of computer-related work such as word processing or data entry and the same old envelope-stuffing and home crafts scams. The computer disk is as worthless as the guidebook. It may only list free government web sites and/or business opportunities which require more money. PROCESSING MEDICAL INSURANCE CLAIMS: Typical Ad -- "You can earn from $800 to $1000 weekly processing insurance claims on your home computer for health care professionals such as doctors, dentists chiropractors, and podiatrists. Over 80% of providers need your services. Learn how in one day!" Generally, the promoter of this scheme attracts you by advertising on cable television and, perhaps, by inviting you to a business opportunity trade show at a hotel or convention center. You may be: 1. Urged to buy software programs and even computers at exorbitant prices; a program selling at a software store for $69 might cost you several thousands of dollars. 2. Told that your work will be coordinated with insurance companies by a central computer. 3. Required to pay for expensive training sessions available at a "current special rate" that will be higher in the future, and pressured to make a decision immediately. The BBB suggests using extreme caution when responding to any such offer. While ads claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, BBB files nationwide indicate no evidence of anyone making the promised money. Rarely, if ever, are these ads an offer of legitimate employment. Generally, these "jobs" require up-front fees for information or supplies, and only the person who ran the ad makes any money. You should be aware that the United States Postal Inspectors regularly investigate these fraudulent schemes, and that you risk investigation and possible prosecution by postal or other law enforcement agencies if you become involved in one of these schemes." As stated earlier in this article, find legitimate companies that give you a trial period of at least 30 days. Also read testimonials from other people who have tried the system before you invest any money. Remember it usually takes time and practice to start making money online.

Got good typing skills? Then you may want to consider a work at home typing online. There are plenty of companies of which you can lend your skills to by performing clerical duties. However, before you leave your day job to begin working at home typing online consider the following information. What will I be doing? Work at home typing jobs includes data entry, providing clerical services and customer services. Work at home typing online jobs also includes information processing and ad typing. If you are self motivated and have exceptional speed and accuracy then a home typing online career may be for you. Success comes with knowing what you want to do. Those with skills in spread sheet and word processing will benefit in searching for work at home typing online jobs that request clerical duties such as medical billing. Previous experience is always a bonus. These types of online jobs normally entails setting up and preparing letters, reports and other text material. They may also include preparing neat and error free copies of previously written material by other clerical or managerial workers. Work at home typists may type addresses or headings on form letters. Work at home typing online jobs may also include answering incoming mail and processing orders. On a more creative angle, if typing out addresses is not your idea of meaning full work, some companies require work at home typists to type out articles, sometimes just a paragraph in length or small classified ads to place all over the internet. Companies will usually offer training and information on where to post the ads and how to answer queries. Ad typing on the other hand is based on luck. For most companies you get paid a commission when someone buys the products being advertised from your posted ad. The more you sell he more you make. There are a number of very wealthy work at home typists. How do I avoid scams? The number one best way to avoid a scam is to look through the hype and look carefully at the company. Most ads in the classifieds are scams. They claim that for a starter fee they will teach you how to make $500 or more. If the company asks for a fee of any kind contact them to ask what exactly you are paying for. Never do business with a company that does not provide contact information or that fails to answer your questions in a week's period. Legitimate work at home typing online companies have a real person you can talk to who is willing to answer all your questions. If the company you join provides a list of companies to work for call up the companies on that list and ask them if they are recruiting. You may discover that most of the companies don't even know they are on the list. Another scam is having ad typists type out ads for a non-existent product. This is an illegal scam that could have you facing serious charges if you get involved. Ask the merchant for a product sample. You may have to buy the product yourself just to be on the safe side. Work at home typing online jobs can be a great way to make money while spending time with your family. Just be sure you know what type of job you want and that the company you work with is legitimate.

If you want to work at home and have good typing skills, working online might be right for you. A growing number of companies are hiring people to work at home typing online. Employers are waking up to the idea that they don't need to rent office space to keep their employees corralled from 9-5, and they like the idea that they can save all sorts of overheads by employing people to work at home. This arrangement benefits the bosses by saving them money and it benefits the staff by enabling them to work where they want to be: at home. What sort of home typing jobs are available? There is no shortage of variety for work at home typists. Work at home typing online jobs include all the clerical/secretarial roles you would expect to find in any office. There are also home typing jobs which are purely internet-based and consist of things such as typing classified advertisements into online forms for companies or typing short articles onto blogs. There is also specialised work at home typing online in fields such as medical billing and medical transcription. Some work at home typing online jobs are, quite frankly, repetitive and boring. It is best, therefore, to consider exactly what sort of typing work you would enjoy doing day in and day out before you start actively seeking a work at home typing position. If you want easy part time work you can do at home, typing classified advertisements into online forms is an easy way to make money. You can choose your own hours and just work for a couple of hours each day. If you want something more creative, a blog posting job might be more suitable for you. Do I need experience to get a work at home typing job? Many work at home typing online jobs require no previous related experience and can be done by anyone with reasonable typing skills. These jobs include the classified ad typing and blog posting positions. The companies hiring people to do this sort of typing work online will provide full training and show you exactly where and how to post the ads and deal with enquiries or feedback. The main drawback with this type of work is that there is a huge amount of competition (as there is for any work at home job). So, if you have previous experience in medical transcription or customer services, this will give you an advantage if you choose to work in one of those fields. What about work at home typing online scams? There are scams relating to work at home and typing online jobs have their share. Some scams are obvious and you can almost "smell" them when you see their advertisements, but others are more difficult to detect. One thing to remember is that you should ask yourself "why would anyone pay me to do that?". If you can't think of a single reasonable answer, you could be looking at a scam that will cost you money or, worse still, something that will involve you in illegal activity. If in doubt, let the dubious opportunity pass and carry on looking. There are plenty of legitimate work at home typing online opportunities around for people of all levels of skill and experience, just remember to be careful to avoid scams and to pick the kind of work you will enjoy doing.

If you have good typing skills and are interested in working at home, then you might want to look into a work at home typing online job. There are a range of companies on the internet which will employ you to do various typing duties for them. However, before you drop everything and dive straight in, there are a few things you need to consider: What does a home typing job involve? There are many different types of work at home typing online jobs available. From data entry, advertisement typing and information processing, to clerical and customer service positions, there's something to fit anybody. Clerical/customer service roles involve setting up and preparing letters, reports and other text material. They may also include preparing neat and error free copies of previously written material, as well as answering incoming mail and processing orders. If that does not sound like it's for you, then data entry may. This involves typing small articles (usually only a paragraph in length) and small classified ads to distribute all over the internet. Most companies will show you how to do this and where to post the ads. The key is in knowing what you want to do. If you have skills and experience working with spreadsheets and word processors, then you would be more comfortable with clerical duties such as medical billing. Similarly, if you prefer to simply type data into forms, then data entry or advertisement typing might be best for you. Regardless, previous experience is always a bonus (but not necessary). How do I avoid scams? The best way to avoid scams is to ignore the big promises a company makes on their website, and investigate them carefully. Most ads in online classifieds are scams, so avoid looking there for any jobs. These companies usually ask for a starter fee before they start training you. If a company asks for anything like this, be very cautious. Contact them by phone and find out exactly what you are paying for. If you can't find their phone number, move on. Legitimate work at home typing online companies always give you full contact information, and provide a real support person whom you can ask questions to over the phone. Always, always, always do your research on a company before signing up. Be sure to only sign up with respected companies that have a good track record, and always make a phone call to them beforehand. There are hundreds of work at home typing online jobs to be found. They can be a great way to make money while allowing you to work your own hours and spend more time at home with your family. Just make sure that you know what type of job you want and you have done the research to determine that the company you work with is legitimate.

You have decided to start your own work at home typing business. Money is in short supply, so where do you start? Identify Your Target The first thing to do is to identify your potential customers. Don't bother asking big companies for work at home typing, you will be in competition with existing staff and employment agencies. Look around for small businesses, the smaller the better because they won't have support staff. Pick them out from classified ads in local newspapers, flyers and phone directories. Start with tradesmen such as auto mechanics, carpenters, washing machine repairers, plumbers, electricians, general builders, painters and decorators etc. Avoid any business connected with IT, they are almost certain to be keyboard literate. Business Cards Get business cards printed. You can get this done free of charge. Make sure that, in addition to your name and contact details, your card states that you offer a typing service. Get as many free business cards as you can, you will need them to hand out to everyone you meet as well as sending them out with mail shots. Flyers Have flyers printed. Flyers are very useful: they can be posted in locations where local traders will see them, delivered to targeted businesses and used in mail shots. If you want to hand out flyers or put them on windscreens in a car park, make sure you get whatever permission is needed from the land owner before you start. Classified Ads Place ads in any local newspapers, trade journals etc. which offer ad spots within your budget. Free Ads Many places such as shops, wholesalers, supermarkets and church halls have notice boards where you can place an ad free of charge. Take advantage of this and remember to return regularly to make sure your ad hasn't been removed or covered over. Mailing List Build a database containing the names and addresses of local companies and sole traders. Brand Yourself Make yourself a professional looking template with your word processor to use as a letterhead. If you opted for a logo on your business cards, repeat the logo on your business stationery. Mail Shot Set up a standard letter to be sent to all the people in your database. The letter should announce the service you are offering and ask the recipient to save your card for future reference. When you get your free business cards, you can do your first mailing shot. Delivery If you are able to target groups of companies in small areas, hand delivery of your letters is feasible but don't make the mistake of wasting gallons of fuel for the sake of saving a few pennies on postage. The small traders will mainly fall into one of two categories: either they will have a computer and do their own typing of invoices, estimates etc or their typing work will be done by their wife, girlfriend or mother. Your want to find traders who don't like doing their own typing work and will be glad of help or whose wife/girlfriend is too busy and wants to get rid of the typing work. If you get nothing from your first mail shot, don't despair, repeat it after a couple of weeks or a month. You can alternate between sending a flyer or a letter enclosing a business card. In the meantime, continue to add likely candidates to your mailing list. You need your offer of home typing work to be in the right places at the right times. When the plumber splits up from his girlfriend or the electrician's wife has a new baby to cope with, make sure they think of your home typing service. One of the best home typing jobs I had was for a local Private Detective. I just happened to be seeking typing at home work when his wife who had done his typing for years decided she'd had enough ot typing reports about adulterous husbands! If you are lucky, you might hit a candidate for your services with your first shot and be in business practically overnight. It won't be big business but it will be a start. Give your clients an excellent typing service and chances are they will recommend you to other small traders. Personal recommendation is the most powerful form of advertising anyone could hope for. If you don't score a hit at the first try, keep repeating the mail shots. Make patience and persistence your watch words and you will succeed.

Making the decision to start a work at home typing business is one thing. Going out and finding people to work for is another. As a start-up home based business, it can be very difficult to promote your services and without blowing your budget. So here are some highly effective ways to build and promote your work at home typing business without breaking the bank. Define Your Target Don't waste your time and money promoting your services to the wrong people. Before you begin any type of promotion, identify exactly who your potential customers are. For a work at home typing business, start with small local businesses. Don't focus on the big companies, as most of the time they have their own employment agencies. Build a Mailing List Start building a database of contact information for local businesses. Then mail them information about your service. Continue to build the database, and mail them promotional information whenever you are looking for more work. Create Business Cards Getting business cards printed are a simple way to distribute information about your services. They can be printed for a relatively low cost, and can even be done free if you have certain software on your computer. Be sure to always include your full name, contact details and the specific service you offer on your business card. Create them in bulk and hand them out at any chance you get. Mail shots Mail shots are a form of direct marketing which simply involve you sending a promotional letter to a list of businesses to let them know of the service you are offering. This can be done via email also, but is not nearly as effective. Try not to sound too much like a cheesy commercial. Keep it simple. Inform the businesses of what you offer, and tell them to save your business card for future reference. Don't be discouraged if your first mail shot does not produce results; simply write another piece and send it out in another month. Add Unique Branding You want to make sure you come across as a reputable and recognisable business (even if you are just working from home). Create a professional letter head template to use on all your mailings so that other business can recognise you. You might also want to create a logo for your services, and include it on all your business cards, letters and stationary. Be sure to keep the same colour scheme. The key here is to make sure your advertising is uniform and that people recognise who you are and what you do. Post Flyers Have flyers created and post them in locations where your targeted business will see them. Simple as that. (You can even include them as mail shots if you want). Free Ads There are a number of places which offer notice boards where you can post ads about your service for free. Check out shop fronts, churches, libraries and wholesalers. Also, make sure you return regularly and check that your ad hasn't been replaced or covered. Place Classified Ads Most local newspapers have classified sections where you can place your ad for an affordable price. Place some ads in different local papers when you need some more business. When you are just starting out, it doesn't take much to blow your budget. But with a little bit of time and effort using the above promotion strategies, it won't be long before you have plenty of paying jobs for your work at home typing business.

You have seen the ads, Typing jobs at home! Make money FAST! No experience necessary. No selling. These ads are tempting, because they appeal to someone who wants to work from home. While there are a lot of legitimate work from home jobs that involve typing, many of these advertisements are misleading schemes. So where can you find legitimate typing jobs? First, it is important to note why many of these advertisements for typing jobs at home are scams. Basically they tend to be ad typist jobs where you type in ads on a variety of job sites waiting for people to sign up for the program. The companies you work for function as an affiliate program in which you get paid if people sign up for the program. Often people who do pay the fee to work for the company end up posting ads everywhere only to see little results. They are given no marketing training, and they are often denied for a refund. These companies usually post testimonials of people who have made much more money that you will ever see. Actually, you will probably end up losing money in the massive amount of hours you spend trying to post ads all over the internet. Another scam is the promise of finding you a job with a legitimate company. Yet when you pay your fee for typing jobs at home, you will only receive a list of companies that may be hiring home typists. You end up spending time calling and following up with companies that probably do not need your services. Again, you lose out on money and time. However, for all the scams out there, you can still find legitimate typing jobs at home. Most of the legitimate jobs are not ad typing, but more administrative or data entry jobs. There are job sites that specialize in postings for these legitimate jobs, and you will need to have some experience to qualify for the jobs. Job boards like WAHM.com, E-lance, and MediaBistro.com all have legitimate jobs that the websites have investigated to make sure they are legitimate. They also have customer service procedures if you find a scam on their sites. So how do you tell the difference between a legitimate company and a scam? First, you should not have to pay high fees to find typing jobs at home (the exception is E-lance, which requires a small fee to find jobs). Some of these scams require upwards of $60 for typing jobs at home. Also, you need to protect yourself by doing research into any company offering typing jobs at home. Look at the Better Business Bureau and on the internet to find out if there are any complaints about the company. Use your instinct. If you feel like you might be scammed, you should probably avoid the offer completely. Finally, know how to report these companies. Many of these typing jobs at home scams are not legal, and you an report them to the proper authorities. Job boards like Craigslist.org have strict rules about these scams, and you need to report them to the webmaster and to the authorities like the FTC. The more people report a company, the easier it will be for the FTC to shut scams down and the easier it will be for people to find legitimate typing jobs at home.

Deciding that you want to start a work at home typing job is one thing. Actually starting it and finding people to work for is another. It can become quite costly promoting your services with little or no results. The following information offers tips on how to promote your work at home typing business without breaking the bank. Define your target Wasted expenditure begins with advertising to the wrong group of people. Before you begin your promotional efforts, identify your potential customers. For a work at home typing business success can come from thinking small. Offer your services to small businesses such as trades men. Do not ask big companies; you will be competing with existing staff and employment agencies. Also, avoid IT businesses. They are IT literate and mostly likely will not need your services. Mailing List Begin and continue to build a database of contact information of local businesses. Business cards Get business cards printed. This can be done for free if you already have an existing program on your computer; if not you can download templates that you can change and print off. Your business card should include your full name, contact details and the service you offer. Make a lot so you can hand them out to everyone and include them when you do mail shots. Add unique branding Create a professional looking template to use as a letter head. This can easily be done on your word processor. If you chose to use a logo on your business cards repeat the logo on your business stationary. Keep the color scheme the same as well. Your advertising creatives should have a uniform flow. Mail shots Mail shots and email shots are forms of direct marketing. Set up a standard letter to send to each person in your database. Your letter should make known the service you are offering. Try not to sound like a cheesy commercial. Keep it simple by stating what you do and tell recipients to save your business card for future reference. Flyers Create flyers and post them in locations where your targeted business will see them. As well include them in mail shots. Some parks have widescreens to advertise on. These can be very effective just be sure to ask the land owner for permission before posting your flyer. Free ads There are numerous places such as shops, churches, libraries and wholesalers that offer a notice board where you can advertise your services free of charge. Be sure to return regularly to make sure your ad hasn't been removed or covered. Classified ad Place ads in local papers that offer ad space within your budget. Do not be discouraged if your first mail shot does not yield results; repeat the process in another month. Another great tip is to look for desperate clients. Tradesmen with little or no IT literacy are great or small business owners who have their plate full and need an extra hand keeping their documents up to date. Do not look for people who could easily manage the work themselves. With a little perseverance you'll soon find that you can start a successful work at home typing business on next to nothing.

TRANSCRIPTION Work at Home Typing for Others By Diane Cantrell For many years I searched for a way to work from home using my computer as a way to earn a full-time income. I finally have that satisfaction now because I have found a way to type at home for others. I first began doing transcription work at a financial services firm I worked at from 1991 to 2004. Some time went by and one of the accountants that I had worked with contacted me to see if I would like to be his personal transcriptionist from my home. I figured this would be a good way to supplement my income so I accepted, and that's exactly what this work turned out to be. All of the work I do for him is handled via the internet. He emails me the voice file and I type it and email him back the typed Word document. Simple! As time went by and my frustration with 'office politics' grew, and I knew I had to find some way to turn this transcription work into my full-time business. I found it somewhat difficult to find others like this accountant who would like me to type up their information for them and was not keen on the idea of typing resumes all day. I began searching online for companies that hire independent contractors to do transcription work for them. What a search it was! I found that in addition to the intermingled transcription businesses out there on the internet were a whole slew of 'get-rich-now-typing-from-home' schemes. Many of them sound so promising, that I must admit I was sucked in to trying a few. Some are now making me a little money, but most are sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I finally was able to find websites that truly want people to succeed in the transcription business and listings of the businesses that really do hire transcriptionists. The first company I found said it wasn't hiring at the time but that I could leave my email address and would be notified when they were hiring again. Six months went by and I had long given up on the hope of doing transcription full-time from my home, when lo and behold, they emailed me to say they were hiring and I could test for them if I was interested. I went through the testing and finally scored my first position with a national transcription business as an independent contractor. During their hiring period we all had more work than we could handle. It was great! But then I realized that they had hired so many ICs (independent contractors) that the work was getting hard to come by. I decided the only thing to do was to secure positions with other transcription businesses to make sure I had a full schedule each week. I now work exclusively with four transcription companies, one of whom is only quarterly work, one I have to set a schedule two weeks in advance and log in for my scheduled time, one calls me with each job to see if I want it, and the other has me email them how much time I'm available for each day/week and they send me that much work. So, finally, I can say I work from home full-time with legitimate companies and it's everything I thought it would be and more! I work when I want and from the comfort of home. The pay is comparable to what I made in offices but the freedom is worth more than the money. Diane Cantrell works full-time from home as a freelance transcriptionist. The First step to Work at Home Success “Achieving the Work at Home Dreamâ€ You can download every e-book on work at home success available and in every one they will all cover one specific topic. Work at home success comes from motivated work at home income. Every work at home e-book will tell you that without a dream or passion, your work at home success will turn into work at home failure. You have to be driven. Working at home is a dream for many people from all walks of life. Often people have a preconceived notion as to what work at home success really means, and as they start the journey they find they wished they were better equipped before proceeding. Working at home and making a healthy living is possible. Hundreds of thousands of people transition home to the work at home successful marketplace every year. Thereâ€TMs no reason that with a little planning and a bit of passion you canâ€TMt join them in their successful work at home endeavors. Passion about Working at Home “Achieving the Work at Home Dreamâ€ Passion is the first step in your work at home success. You must feel strongly motivated to bring home that paycheck in order to make it work. There will be bumps in the road that may try to dissuade you along the way, and your passion has to be prepared to take up the slack and run with it even when the road isnâ€TMt so smooth. There will be numerous roadblocks to your successful home based entrepreneurial dreams. One of the biggest roadblocks is other people. Donâ€TMt expect friends and family members to support your idea. If they do, consider yourself lucky. But people are often jealous of those who put themselves out there and make successful working at home an option. Some people believe that work at home businesses are scams and nobody can really make them successful. Do not let their words deter you. Focus on your passion and you will begin to see yourself growing and learning and reaching your milestones. Most people never really try to find their own work at home success because they are afraid to fail. Fear of failure is a serious motivator to keep a job they hate and rely on security theyâ€TMve come to trust. Of course we all know there is no such thing as security any more. Some people need to believe that there is, and they will not support your work at home success. Thatâ€TMs where your passion can bring you out ahead of the game. Work at home e-books will tell you that your fire has be able to endure the time it takes for your successful home based entrepreneurial dreams to begin to show concrete results. It takes work in the beginning. And at first you will be working your regular job plus growing your home office into your final work space. You will be tired sometimes and there will be moments you will think about quitting. How badly you want your work at home success will determine your actions during those moments. Motivated Work at Home Income “Achieving the Work at Home Dreamâ€ Your motivated work at home income is based on exactly that. Any work at home e-book will tell you that motivation will get you there. As you proceed to develop your home office, you will have to find a few basic traits within yourself to keep going. Chances are you already have them since you devised the plan to work at home in the first place. For starters, you need to believe in yourself. It is basic psychology. If you think you can do it, you can. If you believe you are wasting your time, you are. Believing in yourself is not a negative trait. Self confidence is a positive understanding that you are a capable human being able to face challenges and make good decisions. In our society, we have unflattering names for women who are self confident and hold a high belief in themselves. Tune it out. A strong belief in yourself will carry you very far as you work toward your work at home success. Work at home success takes a bit of courage. You are still stepping out of the box even with the masses that are transitioning home to work carving the path for you. Most people in society believe working involves leaving the house and taking care of your familyâ€TMs financial obligations by putting in your time and working a job. Leave their opinions far behind you as you find your own work at home success. Motivated work at home income requires discipline. Discipline has two faces. The first face is the discipline to do something every single day to help foster your work at home success, but any good work at home e-book will tell you that you also need the discipline to put it aside for a time every day as well. Becoming stressed, obsessive, or placing so much pressure on your success will only create the counter effect. Keep yourself focused on your goals without ignoring the needs of people around you. You are still entitled to vacations and day trips and special time with the family. You donâ€TMt have to work it to absolute death every single day. Motivated work at home income requires flexibility. Flexibility is of course one of the reason why you are building your work at home success to begin with. Getting there also requires flexibility. It is okay to re-evaluate your plan and adjust along the way to make your work at home success more attainable. Come to your work at home project every day with energy and determination, but notice where your actions are taking you and concentrate your focus on those things that are proving you successful. If you plan wisely and strategically, you will begin to see positive results in a fairly short period of time. Focus on short term goals at first. Set a reasonable mark for each and every month, one that you are reasonably sure you can achieve without setting the bar too low. You want your goals to be something you can hit without killing yourself but you want them to help keep you motivated as well. If at first you are failing at your goals, this does not mean your work at home success is out of reach for you. It just means you have to re-evaluate your plan of action and adjust. Failure is only failure if it means you walk away from your motivated desire. Learning from your mistakes makes you more likely to succeed in the long term rather than ride a short term wave of success. Failure I no way means that the nay sayers in your life were accurate about your work at home success. It just means that you have the courage to try something different and you are entitled to a learning curve along the way. You donâ€TMt have a boss breathing down your neck telling you exactly what to do and how to do it and making you re-do it if you mess it up. You have your brains, support, a few notions and a dream. You have the ability to make reasonable decisions along the way and the courage to keep chasing what can ultimately be yours. Work at home success does not have to take years. It can be accomplished in a surprisingly short period of time. You have to maintain a passion for your business as well as your dream, but that work at home success is not elusive. It is within your reach if you simply follow a few basic guidelines like we illustrated above. More Work at Home Success Tips “Achieving the Work at Home Dreamâ€ Honestly, the list of guidelines and the basics to finding your own work at home success could go one forever. There is a lot to learn when making a transition from the work a day world to the work at home program. You and your family will go through an adjustment period that may or may not be stressful. You may find that the actual day that you choose to quit your regular job and revel and grow your success is one of the scariest days of your life. This is normal. You are not alone. You are not even close to being alone. There are hundreds of thousands of successful home based entrepreneurs that go through what you are experiencing every year, and now you can have access to their advice and their knowledge. Many individuals are searching for alternative means of earning money. Although many people earn a stable income from employment, needs and wants often quickly outgrow even robust salaries. In other situations, households may be run by single parents with children. Because of responsibilities revolving around the children, single parents are often unable to obtain a second job, yet need a second income to meet the economic demands life brings. Still, others find themselves in a situation in which they need a large sum of money quickly and need to earn money by whatever means they can find. Some families have committed themselves to having one parent stay at home and oversee domestic duties while the other parent earns an income in a place of business. These families often would benefit from an extra income to finance life s luxuries, such as vacations. In all of these situations, there are options available for working at home. Many people are discovering the benefits of being able to type at home and earn extra income. Those who choose to type at home can make more than they would working a standard eight hour job on a daily basis. In fact, many people who type at home start on a part-time basis and quickly realize that they are better off financially and emotionally by typing at home than being employed by someone else. If you have an interest in typing at home to earn either extra, or primary, income, the steps to follow are fairly simple and straight forward. Investigate the various companies on the Internet who offer assistance with starting a type-at-home business. If you are computer savvy, you may even be able to figure out the process on your own without much difficulty. However, if you do need the assistance of professionals, be prepared to pay around $50 for the time they will spend training you to type at home. Once you have established your type-at-home business, you are ready to begin. One of the best and easiest means of typing at home is by writing advertisements for various web sites and companies. These websites and companies will send you keywords that need to be included in the advertisements that you write. Then, you will compose an advertisement that includes these keywords. The keywords are very important. If they are not included as requested, the web site or company will reject your advertisement and you will need to restart the process. In order for a type-at-home business to be successful, participants need to commit themselves to completely fulfilling all the requests of the companies and web sites they work for. Aside from omitting keywords provided to your type-at-home business by the companies and web sites who hire you, most advertisements are accepted without any difficulty. Just follow the web site s, or company s, specific requests and your advertisement will not be rejected. Once you have completed the advertisement through your type-at-home business, you will be prepared to submit it. Generally, submitting the advertisement is the easiest part of the type-at-home process. All you need to do to submit an advertisement is log onto the specific data entry site, find the area of the screen that says something to the affect of submit advertisements, and then put the advertisement you wrote onto the web site. The final, and generally most rewarding, stage of a type-at-home business is receiving payment. Depending on the length and difficulty of the advertisement you have written, you can expect to receive up to $50 for your services. If earning extra income is either a necessity or a desire, be sure to further investigate type-at-home businesses. There generally are not any start up costs unless you choose to seek the assistance of a professional, and the flexibility of such a business fits easily into most lifestyles.

In beginning a discussion on WAHM information, the first question many people are probably pondering is "What is a WAHM?" Well, it is actually an acronym for "Work-At-Home Mom" (or Mother). A WAHM has chosen to not only be a SAHM (Stay-At-Home Mom), but a mom who has decided to work from home too. Naturally, the Who in our conversation is a mother. She may be married, single, with one child or several. She could be the mother of a newborn or an experienced mom of older children. Whoever she is she has come to the decision that work from home is an improvement to working outside the home. The When may occur sometime after a woman finds out she will be a mother. Perhaps, it is because she believes that it is to her and her child's advantage to seek a better solution to the daycare situation and the normally rigid employment requirements associated with a J-O-B. Not so long ago, it was much harder for women to make a living at home because there were not many prospects. However, because of the advances in technology in general and the Internet specifically, opportunities to work at home currently abound. Now the Why is due to various factors that are important to each particular mother. It may be costs of daycare and traveling, convenience, work hour flexibility, a sense of motherly duty to care for her children or even just the desire to care for them because she loves them and knows it is best for them. Also, she may have the talent and passion in a certain area and wishes to start her own business. Thus work from home is a great way for her to begin. Now how about the Where? I hear you smugly answer, "Obviously, it is at the Mom's home." However, the answer must be much more specific than that. For Instance, where exactly in the house will she locate her business area? Will she need only to incorporate a small desk in a room or will she require a professional office to meet clients? Wherever the home office is located, she must make sure not to blur the line between home and business. Far too often, a work at home mom will permit toys and children to creep slowly into her workspace that inevitably will disrupt her work. While the whole idea was to be with her children, she must maintain a quiet place that is all her own to be able to concentrate when she has to on her tasks. The How has countless possibilities. There are so many businesses that can be run out of a home whether selling a product or performing a service. There are the obvious ones like running eBay auctions, direct selling like home parties and websites selling products that are fulfilled by drop shippers, but they are just the tip of the iceberg. Many people assume that a work at home MOM is always self-employed, but that is not necessarily true. Some women prefer the stability or security that working for someone else gives them. They may not wish to develop a business of their own or tackle the responsibility and headaches that being a self-employed person must handle daily. So instead, she may opt to apply for a telecommuting position with a company. Whether someone else employs her or she is the business owner, it is imperative that she always portrays a professional image to her boss or clients. Otherwise, her employer may feel she is slacking off and her clients may not feel she is serious about her business. With any luck, this overview of work from home information has inspired a few potential work at home MOMs to consider taking the plunge into the rewarding experience of caring for their children while at the same time meeting the needs of providing an income. Possibly instead of jumping right in, the cautious work at home MOMs may try working at home part time until she is sure that it is the solution for her situation. So all the MOMs out there, if you wish to work from home so that you could take care of your children and at the same time earn a decent income, visit my website to learn more how you could work at home to make money online

The at-home work force is increasing exponentially every year. As more and more people begin working from home, the lines and definitions between jobs and a business are beginning to get blurred. But, there is a difference between a home business and a work- at- home job. Keep reading for a clear outline of these basic distinctions. Basically, a home based business is any business where the primary office is located in someone's home - usually the owner's. In fact, most companies start out this way - from simple tinkering in the garage to typing away in the spare room. From Microsoft to Ben & Jerry's, many successful business got their start the home-based way. If you are planning on launching your own home business and being your own boss, make sure that it's legal. While most zoning laws won't crack down on a basic home office, they will lay down the law when it comes to a noisy auto repair business, illegal daycare or opening a store-front on your lawn. Once your home-based business begins to earn income, you will need to begin thinking about registering your business, filing business taxes, and essentially running your home-based business in a legal and professional manner. Meanwhile, a work- at- home job is a little different. Unlike a business where you manage yourself, in an at-home job you are responsible to a supervisor. Whether you do legal transcription, bookkeeping, fund raising, customer service, programming, or web design - if you are working solely for an outside business, a business with offices outside of your home, then you are working an at-home job. A work- at- home job may allow you to direct your hours and workspace, but the essential control and direction of the business will be out of your hands and that is the primary difference between a home business and a work- at- home job.
