School Furniture

School is the place, where a kid gets its first lesson to grow up and becomes a great person in near future. So a school should take care of the comfort and mental satisfaction of a child. The first thing a child could be attracted to is the furniture or you may say the desk of his/her class, because with this desk he/she will play or spend time in school. And the other school furniture will attract the parents....It will make a great impression on parents.

There are different types of school furniture used in school. The first is the student desk and student chair in a classroom. The student desk and chair must be comfortable and adjustable for a student. If a student can’t sit properly on his/her desk, then he/she can’t concentrate on study. They will always try to make them comfortable. So a school should take care of that.

The other types of school furniture are --- tables, chairs, racks, almirah, pen stands, computer tables, duster, cupboards, bench, and round tables.

Table: Tables are for keeping the essential thing which can be used frequently. Each classroom should have a table, where a teacher will keep duster, pen, marker, exercise books, study books, etc. In the administrative office each person needs tables to work. That table becomes a small office for them.

Chair: Chairs are for sitting. Each table should contain with at least one chair.

Racks and almirah are for keeping books, papers, important documents. Each student has been given a cupboard for keeping their own things...like books, exercise book, pens, pencils, and other things.

Dusters are used for cleaning the board where teacher and student write for learning.

Benches are for sitting outside the classroom....and in the sports room.

Round tables are for sitting together and play.

The school furniture is needed to look good for a class as well as for a school. The inside of the school should be populated with school furniture as well as the outside of the school...mostly the school campus. The price of the school furniture depends on the type of the product. If the school furniture is made of good woods then it will cost high. Otherwise it costs low.

The other different type of advanced school furniture are----- table arm chair, student chair desk, teacher chairs, activity tables, lunchroom furniture, science lab furniture, music room furniture, whiteboards, chalkboards, bulletin and announcement boards, reversible board, AV cart and cabinets, portable partitions, bookcases, student lockers, trophy cases.

Trucking School

I have received multiple emails asking the question "What is the best trucking school?" or "Where do you recommend I get truck driver training?" Should you pay out of pocket or sign a contract with a trucking company school for free truck driver training?

I don't know anyone who can claim to be an expert on trucking schools or the best method to pay for your trucking school! The fact is most people have only gone to one trucking school and if for some reason they have gone to more than one I would stay clear of them!

The choice of a trucking company school or a private truck driving school is a personal one and depends on your unique situation. Location, money, time etc. The only comment I really have on paying for a trucking school would be if you can pay on your own go ahead.

If you are paying out of pocket make sure that the school has job placement with a decent trucking company! Some trucking companies will reimburse you all or part of your tuition depending on how long you drive a truck for them. You will have no commitment to any trucking company and can move on when you feel like it if you pay for your CDL training out of your own pocket. You can judge the quality of a truck driving school by the job placement they provide.

If several large trucking companies recruit from a particular trucking school graduate pool, that particular trucking school probably trains students well or the big trucking companies would not want to use that truck driving school has a hiring pool. Company trucking schools will usually train you well because you will be working for them and driving their trucks! Make sense?

After you have been driving for a while you will realize that most of your learning is on the road and the truck driving school served no other purpose than just getting your CDL, learning the basics, and job placement.

I personally went through the Schneider training academy when I started driving and I can say it was a good school and that they probably over train their students. Schneider is known for having one of the best trucking schools in the trucking industry but I have nothing to compare the experience with. I only went through trucking school one time myself.

School Safety

School is really a second home for kids. They spend a lot of their time there during the school year, and it is only natural that parents, teachers, administrators and others want kids to be safe at school. The best way for kids to be safe is to have safety programs in place that make sense and are easy for students and adults to follow.

As an adult, it is important for you to know the safety rules and procedures at your local schools. Whatever role that you have, whether it is parent or teacher or something else, you need to know what your particular school does to keep students safe. Asking questions, reading material provided by the school, and becoming involved in the safety programs are great ways to learn about the safety precautions that your school takes to keep kids safe every single day, no matter what happens at school.

School safety programs should cover everything from playground safety to procedures for injuries to what to do in a violent situation. School safety programs should also cover the safety of kids going to and from school, whether they walk, ride a bus or are transported by family members or in a carpool. School safety programs should also include ways to deal with bullying, and plans to help kids at risk. Working with various community resources and emergency personnel is also a key to having a good safety program for your school.

It is also important to teach the kids about the safety rules and safety programs that the school has. They can't follow the rules if they don't know what they are. Explaining the reasoning behind the safety policies is a good idea because knowing why a rule is in place often helps kids understand the importance of following it. Finding ways to involve them in the safety of their peers and themselves will also encourage greater participation.

We all believe that schools should be safe places for kids. With all of the safety concerns that we have in today's world, it is imperative that school safety be a top issue for everyone in the community.

A driving school may be the answer you have been looking for if you are one who is looking to learn how to drive, lower premiums on your automobile insurance, or reduce the number of fines and tickets you have gotten. The court of law, may assign a particularly unruly driver (one who has gotten several tickets within a span of a year) to driving school. This could erase their driving record, prevent suspension or revocation of their drivers license. Furthermore, an accredited driving school can raise teenage drivers awareness on the etiquette and techniques of driving, which enables them to become better drivers.

If an agency has not designated a driving school for you, you can find the proper one by contacting your insurance agent or your stateâ€TMs public safety office. There are several different categories of driving schools, it is important that you locate the type you are specifically looking for. For example, truck driving school, which is specific for learning to drive semi-trailers. Courses for truck driving school can run as short as three weeks all the way up to three months.

Another type of driving school is racing school; of course, this is completely different from the slow and safe manner of regularly driving schools. However, even new teen drivers could benefit from this training, as most will teach how to control pedal input and steering smoothly. Additionally, they teach on controlling the vehicle during changing lanes, emergency braking, and skid corrections. Racing school can cost anywhere from $1,095 to $3,250. Teen programs are slightly cheaper from $525 to $1,095.

When thinking in terms of teen drivers, parents may want to consider defensive driving school. Prices vary, but could cost somewhere around $375 for a one day class. In this glass, they will learn about skidding and correcting. As well as the property way to react in different occurrences such as wrecks or road conditions.

No matter, which type of driving school you choose to enroll in the best thing to remember that driving is not a privilege it is a right. It is important that when you attend driving school, they you do so with the utmost discipline and do not take it lightly. Everything you will learn in these classes will help you in the future on the road and could even work to save not only your life, but the life of other people as well.

School essay

School essay assignments are of different kinds. The levels of these assignments vary considerably, and depend on what expertise your teachers wish to test you for. School essay assignments also serve different purposes. You may have tasks assigned to you in order for a teacher to extract information from each student about a particular course. Alternatively, the goal may be for you to learn more about a particular subject. Perhaps, a school essay assignment could be conducted towards an end of a course in order to help you learn more detail. It is quite likely that you will be assigned a task that requires some research.

In order to conduct a research-based School essay, you need to follow basic rules. This would include adhering to a format particularly meant for research purposes. Usually, you will have the three main parts, which include an introduction, a main body and a conclusion. However, there are many details to pay attention to when you write a School essay.

To write a School essay, you will start with your title. This should reflect the task assigned. It should be short and as specific as possible to have an immediate impact on your reader. Sometimes, you are even given a title to follow for writing your School essay. Your introduction will follow your title, and the rest of your essay will do the same.

The introduction for your School essay should be conducted after you have conducted some initial research. This will help you to get an idea of what your paper is going to be about. In fact, you are supposed to do the bulk of your reading before you start writing your research School essay. Once you get an idea of where your research will probably head, you can start writing your introduction.

Your School essay introduction should catch your reader’s attention first. You will have to make a statement that is general yet interesting. Usually, this will be related to your area of research, but it will not be too specific. After doing this, you can gradually narrow your focus down to the main focus or argument of your School essay. If it is a typical research essay that you are writing, you will make your tentative thesis statement here.

You will follow your School essay introduction with the main body of your essay. Each paragraph will contain an argument backed by relevant information from your supporting sources. These sources will reinforce your arguments. Each argument will be placed in a new paragraph, and each paragraph should lead into the next, smoothly, in order to establish a flow in your School essay writing. Using in-text citations is of immense importance in your essay. Detail of these should be mentioned in a bibliography at the end of your assignment.

After your School essay main body is written, and appropriate research methods are carried out in it, your can write your conclusion. Here, you will sum up your main arguments and weigh them. You need to say whether or not they survive. Finally, you will restate your thesis to affirm your School essay research claims.

Home School

Parents, guardians, grandparents, relatives or other tutors will end up teaching children at home and the children end up learning and following the curriculum set for them by their home teacher rather than by the publicly mandated curriculum that all public schools are required to follow.

Demographics

The largest concentration of home schools in the world is by far within the United States, where a recent estimate showed that approximately 2.5 million students are educated at home. There is also very little evidence to indicate that on average home school education and learning is of a lower quality than the teaching that students would receive at public or private school and it is perhaps this lack of evidence that has inspired more people to start their child's education in a home school teaching environment.

Another point that is interesting to note is that the average teacher in a home school environment is actually more likely to have advanced degrees from post-secondary institutions than the average teacher in a public school. Of course, the counterargument to that is the fact that teachers in public schools are required to obtain teaching degrees from accredited teaching institutions whereas learning about teaching methods is not an express requirement for parents that wish to home school their children.

There are a number of different reasons why parents choose to home school their children. In the most reason survey done regarding home schooling within the United States, it was found that 415,000 students or roughly 49% of the home schooled population was home schooled because the parents felt that they could give their children a better education at home. The next largest category was 327,000 students or roughly 39% in which case the parents home schooled their children because of assorted religious reasons. The next most popular choice in the survey was the parents feeling that there was a poor learning environment in the schools in their area, which accounted for approximately 26% of respondents' answers.

While these are the main reasons according to the United States surveys, they may not be the main reason worldwide. The lack of informational surveys and data regarding home schooling in many areas of the world makes it difficult to draw conclusions regarding reasons for home schooling on a global level, but some sort of dissatisfaction with the current school system in their location is usually the underlying reason for home schooling on the part of most parents, even if the way in which that dissatisfaction manifests itself is rather different.

Doing it Yourself If you are interested in home schooling your child, there are a number of resources around that can help you. Your local bookstore very likely carries outlines for different courses at different levels and there are a number of home schooling resources online that you can get to with just a simple web search. As the home school becomes more and more popular, what people are finding is that it is easier to get their children involved with home school education. Expect this to become easier as time goes on, so if you are doing this research right now because of an expected child in the future then it appears by trending that you can rest easy that the option will readily be available when you come to need it. http://www.childfont.com

School Grants

Ryan Machara News Society/free 2007-11-06
View Detail

Regardless the scenario you're operating under, you've enrolled and it's going to cost you money. How much? Well that depends on your eligibility for school loans, scholarships, or grants offered by governments (federal and state) or the school itself.

School grants have special appeal because, like scholarships, they do not have to be repaid. This gives them that extra benefit over student loans. Grants can be accessed through federal and state government agencies via a detailed application process.

The issue of applying for a school grant to help with the financial demands of higher education is certainly something you should consider. If and when you do, there are many resources available to make your application process less daunting.

The best way to approach the school grant process is to talk to the financial aid department at the school you're interested in attending. A counselor in one of these departments will be able to point you in the direction of federal and state government programs for students.

Another great resource to learn about the process of applying for school grants is the US Department of Education's website:

www.fafsa.ed.gov

And their web portal entitled Student Aid on the Web, located at:

www.studentaid.ed.gov

There you will find a wealth of information designed to guide you through the process of applying for a school grant.

Once you've decided to apply for a grant be prepared to provide detailed information and documentation about your current financial situation. It is also wise to apply as soon as possible, beginning January 1st each year. A separate application has to be made for every year of study.

As stated above, the school you are planning to attend may offer grants through an institutional grant program. They may have in place a process that will help cover the costs you cannot while at their institution. The criteria may be based on your financial situation or there may be no criteria at all: being awarded on academic merit alone.
Private corporations also assist with grant money to children of their employees who, because of stellar academic achievement, earn this reward as part of a company's goodwill and commitment to the community. If you qualify for this scenario then it's worth investigating.

Be Prepared

When initiating the process to acquire a school grant, a counselor at the school you plan to attend can help you with the specific requirements and documentation needed for a particular application.

Above All

Assess your level of financial need carefully so you can apply for the appropriate grant. Take these suggestions into consideration:

Secure all documentation required to make a thorough and complete application:
* Social Security number.
* W-2 forms and any record of income earned for the appropriate year.
* Driver's License.
* Your Federal Income Tax Return, and if married, your spouse's.
* Your parents' Federal Income Tax Return if you're a dependent student.
* Any records of untaxed income (i.e. Social Security, Welfare, Veterans Benefits, and the like).
* IRS Form 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, foreign tax return, or any other U.S. territory's tax return.
* Bank statements and any other investment records.
* Your alien registration number or permanent residence card if you are not a citizen of the United States.

Applying for a school grant can be time consuming and a little complicated the first time around. That's why it is so important to prepare properly for the process, to have the right documentation at the right time, and to take advantage of the counsel available from people who do this for a living. In the end it will be worth it, when you've secured the school grant and have one less thing to worry about when it comes time to hit the books.

School Uniforms

Olivia Hunt Society/Society 2007-07-30
View Detail
Some private schools do have the uniform dress code for its pupils but students all over the world do not welcome the idea of uniforms. They think that wearing uniform means restricting a personal expression. However, the researchers point out that uniforms are more child-friendly and assist the healthy development of self-esteem and talents. Schools uniform creates uniformity and that is the very purpose of their inclusion. Opponents of school uniform policy feel that school uniforms force large-sized children to wear clothes that are unflattering, difficult to obtain, and harmful to their self- esteem and that school uniforms violate freedom of expression right. These arguments are completely baseless. Large sized students do not suffer from wearing uniforms but due to their weight, which I personally believe, is something that uniforms can adequately mask because everyone appears to look the same when following a dress code. Besides, the freedom of expression is further bolstered with the help of dress code policy because one can focus on his talents and skills without becoming self-conscious because of clothes.

Reasons, Grounds and warrant
The reason why school uniform is a better option is because it doesn’t make students too materialistic too early in life. The quest for wearing your personality and hunt for the latest, trendy and not to mention expensive outfits to schools has been a cause of concern for parents. New and trendy clothes get a lot of the budget of parents and students spend a lot of time and concentration on their wardrobe then single-mindedly pursuing studies. They all want trendy sneaker, chic shirts, hip jeans and stylish dresses. The focus to uniform issue came in the limelight when the State of California adopted legislation paving for mandatory school uniforms. Massachusetts former Governor William Weld told a gathering of students and faculty at the Robert L. Ford Elementary School in Lynn.’ Whether students are in first grade or eighth grade, they are all in school for the same reason -- to learn. And too often clothes distract kids from this goal.

The whole issue of enforcing uniforms got a jolt when Supreme Court passed its verdict in 1996 and proclaimed the First Amendment protects the right to individual dress. In some cases where schools adopted uniform, they had to face lawsuits by parent with the support of American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The stance in many cases has been challenged when school authorities were able to prove that uniforms can help, in resolving many classroom issues, improve discipline and discourage violence.

Optional school uniform policy has been a failure thus it should be made mandatory. In many cases schools adopted the policy of giving students the options of uniform. This practice never worked out for most schools as in the beginning a number of students started wearing uniforms but with the passage of time the number of students wearing uniforms started decreasing. Students who did not wear uniforms openly poked fun at those few who were wearing uniforms because of which this voluntary uniform policy failed. Even courts in many cases have passed the verdict that a compulsory uniform policy is better than the option policy.

President Clinton had been a supporter of uniforms when he was in office. He even spoke publicly in favor of uniforms as to how they can help students and schools. California district also released figures and percentages indicating decrease in on-campus crime, sex robbery and weapons possession.

Architecture school

Slavco Stefanoski Reference Education/K 12 Education 2008-01-20
View Detail
For some people, it was all about some building that inspired them as a child. Perhaps they grew up in some gorgeous mansion. perhaps they went to one of the great museums of the world as a kid and were completely captivated by it. Whatever it was, a single building got them interested in the process of designing and building others.

For other people, architecture schools are part of a political mission. You wouldn't believe how many visionaries there are at an average architectural school. At the one I go to, they probably make up half the class. Some of them want to design buildings with the idea of providing beautiful and affordable housing to the poor, others to change the way we see space as a society.

For me, going to architecture school was part of a much more down to earth experience. As a matter of fact, you could say that I always had an interest in buildings. I grew up on a farm, in one of the last communities in this country that still practices barn raising. For me, architecture school was not the realization of a lifelong abstract dream, but rather a way to build on my early, hands on experiences with communal buildings.

I feel like this gives me a much clearer vision than many people in architecture schools nowadays. Your typical architecture school student has his or her head in the clouds. In some ways, this is a good thing. It is good to have a vision to unify your buildings. There are many things that buildings have to be. They have to be functional, structurally sound, and comfortable to occupy. They don't necessarily have to be beautiful. When they are beautiful, however, it is like a wonderful luxury for the city around. Although not everyone understands an architect's vision, they can tell whether or not he has one.

On the other hand, if you enroll in a school of architecture without any hands-on experience, you can lose track of the purpose behind what you are doing. Architecture is, after all, about providing spaces for people to live and work. Architecture school can teach you many things, but unless you go in with this understanding, you will never build with both elegance and practicality.

Aromatherapy School

Aromatherapy is the inhalation and bodily application of essential oils from aromatic plants to relax, balance, rejuvenate, restore or enhance body, mind and spirit. Aromatherapy is the use of natural oils that are derived from flowers, roots, twigs, and other items. Aromatherapy aims to unite and balance the body, mind and spirit, which is then continually validated through the efficacy of the essential oils. It is so popular today that a number of aromatherapy schools are out there offering opportunities for well-trained and dedicated people. The career opportunities offered by the aromatherapy schools greatly vary.

Different aromatherapy schools may focus on a variety of elements of aromatherapy, while other aromatherapy schools may concentrate on the study of aromatherapy along with the other natural health or allopathic health disciplines. An aromatherapy school teaches a form of complementary massage that uses the sense of smell to help facilitate a positive change when a person is feeling ill. Aromatherapy schools teach students how to use oils which are extracted from plants, these are known as essential oils, other aromatic plant parts are also used to help patients who suffer from many different types of illness.

Aromatherapy schools learn students about the distinct types of vital oils and what sickness they assist to alleviate. For example If the patient is suffering from burns, an aromatherapy pupil will be taught how they should take lavender oil, and too the amount and frequency to use it. Many aromatherapy schools think that aromatherapy is a skill and should simply be practiced in a professional style by aromatherapy school graduates. Although new schools learn the pupil to give upward to there hunch as easily. Which is seen by some as being the more stable manner. An aromatherapy school is offered to primarily medical practitioners as well as massage therapists.

Those who are licensed to practice medicine can take an aromatherapy course if they are interested in supplemental treatment that is holistic. The basic teachings in aromatherapy schools is to address questions such as what is aromatherapy, what different oils are used, how can they be used effectively and how they work on the body and mind. Courses will teach students how aromatherapy works into the bloodstream through inhalation. They will also teach you various ways to blend oils, how different oils have different effects physically and mentally. Some medical doctors disapprove of aromatherapy schools and the practice of aromatherapy.

School Fundraising

Veronica Scott Reference Education/Reference Education 2008-02-11

When it comes to school fundraising, it can be a jungle out there. Competition is fierce and fundraising for schools can be taken very seriously between the teachers, kids, and parents involved. With a few friendly tips and ideas, however, that ferociousness and competitive spirit can be replaced with gracious, giving attitudes and, most of all, a friendly and fun outlook!

To put the fun back in fundraising, it is important to impress upon the participants that it is not a contest. There are various reasons a school may participate in fundraising, including library costs and school trips, but none of these reasons should turn innocent kids into cash-hungry monsters. Instead, fundraising should encourage kids to get creative and to have fun working together to raise funds for something that is important. Adding prizes is a good idea in theory, but prizes far too often lead to difficult situations and problematic fundraising practices.

Fundraising Ideas

There are a number of ideas when it comes to school fundraising. Some schools go with entire catalogues filled with items to sell, but these catalogues can often be overwhelming and can confuse potential donators. Instead of going with a wide variety of products or services to sell for fundraising, it is a good idea to go with a simpler approach and offer straightforward products or services that everyone can use and enjoy.

A good fundraising idea should be easy to sell and it should offer good value to the person that purchases it. Many schools sell prepaid phone cards or discount shopping cards, as these ideas offer tremendous value to the purchaser and come in handy. The discount card option is a great idea for schools, as it contains a number of prearranged discounts and involves a partnership with local retailers and companies.

Other great fundraising ideas include:

Bake sales
Auction for products or services, such as lawn-mowing or painting services
Bingo
Mini-golf tournament
Karaoke night
Car wash

All of these ideas are great for school fundraising, as there is no limit to the services and products that can be included. Auctions are especially fun, as old toys and items can be sold for a nice price and the benefits come back to the students at the school. Items like dollhouses, stuffed animals, and other great items make great auction ideas.

Keep It Positive

With a great fundraising idea in mind, it s important to keep the focus on fundraising and positivity. When planning a fundraiser, it is important to include as many of the school children as possible. This defines a role for each child and includes everyone. Nobody likes to feel left out of something important, so allocate responsibility and make sure each child has a task to do.

It should be fun to fundraise, so make sure that all of the children are treated with good humor and positivity. Try to plan little rewards or presents along the way, ensuring that the children enjoy being there and have something extra special to look forward to. Plan a dinner or lunch after the fundraiser to reflect on the experience overall, too.

I have had a couple of interesting conversations this week relating to school / youth sports and its worrying when one considers junior participation in sport.

The first discussion revolved around a major Gauteng school who had decided to cut field hockey from their curriculum because they don’t have the teachers or the facilities to any longer offer this to their students. Knowing some of the kids through the Club Hockey setup its disappointing that they can no longer play a sport that they are good at (and that is relatively cost effective) simply due to lack of interest in sourcing facilities or coaches.

The second discussion was with an American parent who was visiting family in South Africa – her and her family were visiting from Los Angeles. She was so jealous that the majority of South Africa schools still offered team and field sports as part of the curriculum. Apparently the majority of junior sports in the States is run through club or private offerings and very little of it is actually driven by the schools.

The South African government is currently pushing the principle of “Mass Participation” which will be critical to sport in the country. The concept is to have as many kids as possible being involved in sports. The theory being that, if a child is playing sport he is not becoming involved in criminal activities.

To me, this is why it is so important that school sports are not only encouraged but supported and driven by government and local business in conjunction with their local club set-up. Not only does it help from a social perspective where kids are learning vital skills such as teamwork, self confidence and social interaction while being kept off the streets and out of mischief, but it also contributes to general healthy lifestyles. Keep kids fit, healthy and happy and they are more likely to make a positive contribution at their schools.

School Loans

School loans have become indispensable to most of the students in today s world. This is because the price of education has soared to incredible heights. Therefore, students need to take loans to meet the expenses of their exorbitant fees and also the expenses relating to food, boarding, books, coaching and so on.

When do students have to repay school loans?

Once students complete their education they need to repay the school loans. Due to this reason, many of them are complacent during the school days about accumulating these loans. Only when they face the prospect of repaying them, do they get daunted.

What is meant by consolidation of school loans?

Most of the students have accumulated education loans from various lenders for various purposes. Thus, they find it difficult to keep track of the various repayments to be made. Also, the varied amounts along with the interest rates pose a very imposing figure. Therefore, to avoid the risk of default, students go in for consolidation of their student loans.

Consolidation is the process by which all the loans with the various lenders are combined into one. Next, the term of the loan is extended and this reduces the payment to be made every month by half or more.

What are the various programs under which a student can acquire education loans?

Education loans can be acquired by federal lenders and private lenders. Federal lenders may either have programs that give guarantee to private lenders against default amount loans or they may directly extend student loans to the borrowers i.e. students or parents.

What is the most effective way to repay the school loans?

The most easy and effective way to repay the school loans is by having a proper plan to repay it soon; proper planning includes the following steps:

a) Keep a record of all the loans you have borrowed against the various lenders along with their interest rates and other terms.

b) Budget your expenses with that you reduce all unwanted and extravagant expenditure. For example, cancel that unused gym membership or reduce your visits to Starbucks. Whatever you do will help you in the long run.

e) Save your money if anything excess is left. Try to make sure you do have a small sum put away somewhere safe to meet any unexpected expenditure.

What is the best tip relating to education loans?

The best tip relating to education loan is to 'never bite more than you can chew'.

The meaning of that maxim is to never take a single penny of loan more than what you require. Some students do not think of the consequences. They just keep accumulating these loans and then find it very difficult to repay it later.

Therefore, only take up that much of loan that you require and you will be safe. If you keep accumulating a huge loan, then you will not be able to meet it later on. So, look before you leap yes, that s another maxim for you!

Acupuncture School

In my class, there are people of all races from at least half a dozen different countries. Some of them had parents who went to Oriental medicine schools themselves, while others never even heard of acupuncture until they reached adulthood. Yet all of them have one thing in common: a passion for traditional Chinese medicine.

In my case, acupuncture school is something that I did not even consider until I was about 30. At that point, I had a successful business career going, and was doing pretty well for myself. Suddenly, I started to develop some health problems. At first it didn't seem like much, but it got worse and worse. Initially I had a few bellyaches, but soon my digestion was acting up all the time. I would get stomach cramps, allergic reactions to food, and anxiety attacks. My doctor tried to tell me that it was nothing. He thought it was just psychosomatic, but I knew that he was wrong. I was enjoying my life, and nothing was going wrong emotionally. Then, on a whim, I went to an acupuncturist.

The particular practitioner I went to had only not gone to acupuncture school. He was a trained masseuse as well, and no matter what the problem, he would begin the session by massaging the patient. He explained that any kind of healing works better when the body is relaxed. I told him about my problem, and he immediately began treatment. I felt better almost immediately. I went back a couple more times to finish the treatments, but by then I was convinced. Traditional Oriental medicine works, and I wanted to study it.

Of course, giving up a successful business career to study in acupuncture school isn't an easy thing to do. A lot of my friends gave me a hard time and tried to talk me out of it at first, but I could not be persuaded. I knew what I wanted to do. I was amazed at the healing possibilities of acupuncture, and I wanted to learn more about it. There are many different acupuncture schools to choose from, which made it a little bit difficult. Some of them are much better than others, and as an outsider it can be hard to find out which have the very best programs.

School essay would depict the interest towards subject domain and participation towards writing dissertations and making a move towards displaying theoretical knowledge into practice. It comes with an excellent opportunity to display your interest in the pursuing subject and the interest for research.

The topic selection is one of the biggest factors. The choice must be based on the understandability of the topic and the amount of research material available for the discussion. Once it stands feasible in all respects, the writing starts and a general plan of action is decided so that appropriate compliance is made for its success.

The introduction marks the very opening of the discussion in question and the initiation of the topic’s ideas and suggestions. This is the place where the objective of the topic is initiated and the general flow of discussion is made clear and a plan of action is generated for the smooth running of the topic.

The body is responsible for deciding the integration of the topic into modules so that enough discussion is provided to all the parts so that it meets the aim of the research and the objectives are clearly displayed which ultimately combine to meet the central objective of the paper. All the discussions made would act as support to the aim of the paper.

The modularization of the topic would make it quite feasible to discuss all the points and explain them in the context of the paper itself. Once the various internal penetrations are identified well they must be discussed properly so that they are able to propagate the right amount of logic for proving the ideas and concepts in the paper.

The penetrations of the topic into other subjects in the environment would make it quite interesting and meaningful. It arouses the interest of the audience and also the deep research objectives of the writer in question. Proper identification of the dispersion areas and its correlation to other objects in the atmosphere makes it a complete package in all respects.

The supporting ideas of the topic must be quite relevant and enough so that every point has an equal amount of weight and must be quite supportive in nature. The ideas and conventions discussed must be quite appropriate to the representation of facts and feasible to describe it.

The representation of the facts could be done in the form of visual representation of ideas and arguments. People interpret pictures and illustrations much better than the textual matter. Graphs, charts and diagrams form a good amount of presentation criteria and often are successful in doing it.

The conclusion of the paper must be done in a manner that the short term objectives are met and combined together to form a totally different body of knowledge. The ideas which have been elaborated in the main paper in the body section must be given a conclusion here with strong points for making a final statement. The ideas must be held strongly and distinguishable from the others as they must correlate with the central theme of the paper.

School essay must be a blend of all the knowledge gathered so far and the practicability of the knowledge representation and its correct use to predict the probability of the thoughts and ideas to be genuine in discussion and also in reality.

School Smarts

Here's How Students Can Clear Out the Clutter To Make Progress During their School Year.

Sure, a messy room is the sign of a creative mind, but how will that help when you can't find your next masterpiece beneath all those heaps?

As a time management technique, I advise students to clear out the clutter in their rooms throughout the school year which is always accompanied by mounds of stuff.

You've got to use textbooks and papers, and if you de-clutter your personal space and desk, you'll have the room for the necessaries; but it also helps kids of any age get a jump start on smart organizational tools that will help them save time and the stress that comes with any mess.

Because of the experiences I've had in coaching thousands of both adults and teens about increasing productivity to achieve the goals they've set for learning, lifestyle, and business, I am very aware of how a study space that is organized can promote enjoyment, achievement and success.

Here are 5 Quick Tips To Clear Out the Clutter.

1. Get it Out of There. Imagine the building is on fire, and you have 60 seconds to grab whatever you can carry and make your escape. What would you grab? Consider those items your essentials and everything else potentially expendable. My advice is to toss out the clothes that don't fit, the papers that aren't needed, the socks that don't match and other items from the "expendable" heaps to create more space before the school year and its demands get away from you.

2. Enlist a Cruel Friend. Breaking the "pack rat" habit can be difficult for people of any age. Your friends will not have the sentimental attachments you do to your clutter, and they will help you let go of your excess stuff that you know should be thrown away. It could be a fun game with their nudging.

3. Control Your Stuff. Control your stuff, or your stuff will control the time you spend stumbling over it. My advice is to find affordable bins or boxes with secure lids that stack inside a closet, that fit under your bed or under your desk, and then toss everything inside those containers. Next, take ten minutes every other day to go through a box to pluck out what's expendable. Then, toss it. It's a smart system to cycle through the clutter and make more space inside those same containers for truly useful items.

4. Don't Fall Into The Granny Trap. I call it the 'granny trap,' because kids and teenagers can also fall into the trap of keeping too many of what my grandmother called knick-knacks without real value cluttering up shelves and table tops. Unless you're a serious adviser, toss it. You're young; stay portable.

5. Fake It. At a minimum, you can keep un-sorted excess stuff out of sight in those stackable, hide-able bins or boxes until you find ten minutes to clear out the clutter from your personal space. You could give up ten minutes of text messaging your friends, and you'll have instant, if temporary, new floor space and stave off complaints from surprise visitors.

Public School Rankings

Remember the Army slogan, I Want YOU for the U.S. Army! ? The poster showed a very stern Uncle Sam jabbing his finger nearly out of the picture. What about the one by Smokey the Bear? Even YOU can prevent forest fires! Well, let s add another one, shall we? It s important for YOU to consider Public School Rankings ! when considering a move to a new city or state.

Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers This is not some new teaching technique, but points to something unique. Public School Rankings can show you which schools have something different to offer, and how well they do so compared to other similar programs. While you should never choose a school for your child based solely on the fact that it is unique and out-of-the-box, schools that rank high in Public School Rankings and that have unique, diverse programs in place indicate that they are concentrating on ensuring the best possible education they can give.

Looking at Public School Rankings will also give you valuable information on how well these schools are performing in core academics. Test scores are a big part of Public School Rankings, and high scores will definitely show which schools have students who are earning high marks. A unique program at an excellent school situated near the top of a Public School Rankings may be just what you are looking for, so don t forget to consider where the school in question falls in Public School Rankings .

Open Doors Preparing yourself with information gathered by studying Public School Rankings of schools in the area you are considering will help out when you tour schools and visit classrooms. Principals and teaches will appreciate your knowledge about how their school has performed in Public School Rankings , but be sure not to come off as a know-it-all about the school you are visiting. Coming to the school informed with the school s placement in Public School Rankings will show that you are interested in the school you are considering, and that you will make sure to be a partner with educators in the schooling of your child.

Updated Information Researching the Public School Rankings in the city or state you are thinking of moving to is simply logical. While it s good to talk to other parents in the area you are heading for, keep in mind that they can only speak from their own experiences. I once had a teacher tell me not to place my daughter in our school s gifted program because her brother hated it; and she was a grandmother! Her experience and information was outdated, to say the least. Word of mouth is indeed a valuable tool to determine which schools are good, but don t discount the information you ll get from Public School Rankings. These rankings are an unbiased report on how a school is performing.

And don t forget, only YOU can choose the school (based in part on Public School Rankings ) that is best for your child!

High School Rankings

With the advent of school choice and the ever increasing ability of a family to move from one state or one neighborhood to the next, there is an increasing desire for parents to seek high school rankings. When doing so, there are so many factors to consider. Some of these pop right into mind: expenditure per pupil, SAT and other standardized test scores, AP classes offered, rate of crime in the school and in the neighborhood surrounding the school. But there is one factor that goes mostly unnoticed and might be important when assessing high school rankings. Does the school ascribe to the cutting edge idea of Professional Learning Communities (PLC)?

PLCs and High school rankings

Professional Learning Communities are a new idea spearheaded by Rick and Betty DuFour. The success of their program and the logic of the ideas it espouses have led to a sweeping change in the way schools do business. So what is a PLC? Check out some of the main ideas behind them below and you’ll see why PLCs are the latest in educational reform for High school rankings.

1. PLCs allow for a real sense of community. The whole purpose of high school rankings is to help the community assess schools. For PLCs that means everybody working together to ensure student success. Of course the usual suspects (students, teachers, parents) are included, but so are non-instructional staff like bus drivers and security officers. PLCs also include the community at large so local businesses and community colleges are drawn in to help the school and the students. What could be more important for high school rankings?

2. Another purpose of high school rankings is to gauge how effective teachers are in a school. PLCs use unique and flexible scheduling to allow students and teachers time outside of the classroom to boost learning. Students meet with teachers or other advisors one on one or in small groups. Teachers meet within discipline or within grade levels to work and plan together while sharing best practices. This is an essential part of PLC and is important to check for when considering high school rankings.

3. Because student success is a community effort, what students study can be standardized. While high school rankings always include standardized test scores, they don’t always include other assessments. Although PLCs use standard assessments and formative assessments, they don’t require teachers to “teach to the test.” Instead students are prepared at a high level of rigor for things like state exams within the normal parameters of the classroom. What a great piece of information to include in high school rankings.

4. The DuFours insist that failure is not an option. In PLCs failure is seen as an easy way out. Instead, the community works to present the student with many avenues to success. This may take a while for students and teachers to get used to, but the change in “mind set” is an important one in the path to student achievement and an important one when assessing a school for High school rankings.

So if you are a parent or student considering High school rankings, you may want to make the inclusion of professional learning communities part of your assessment. It is the wave of the future and an important factor in determining if a school is the right fit for you.
