Nobody likes the thought of exposing their baby to chemicals or cancer-causing materials, or anything else that could harm them. The reality is that we live in a chemical world where nearly everything we touch, eat, and even the air we breathe have been affected by chemicals and synthetic materials that have been proven to be harmful to our health. Do you think you can keep your baby from being exposed to cancer causing materials? If so, then think again. From the pots and pans you cook with, to your household cleaners and air fresheners , many of the things you use day to day contain dangerous chemicals to which prolonged exposure can be deadly. From the mold hiding under your kitchen sink to the plastics that 99% of your baby s toys are made of, there are countless opportunities for your child to be exposed to substances and chemical agents that are known to cause cancer and numerous other serious health complications. Most people don t realize the amount of exposure that their kids are subject to. Many people think that just because their kids are young and eat a healthy diet, they are less likely to have any considerable chemical build up in their systems. This just isn t true. Consider the following: - Kids are smaller, and their immune systems aren t as strong. It takes LESS exposure for a chemical to negatively affect your child than it does for it to affect you. - Many plastics contain known carcinogens (cancer-causing agents), and our kids world is literally made of plastic. Whether it s their spoons or their bottles (and bottle liners), or the toys, teething rings, plates, cups, and even baby gates babies and small children are surrounded by plastic almost 24/7. - In lab tests, kids are often shown to have HIGHER levels of foreign chemicals in their bodies than adults. Here s the bottom line: your kids are at risk of being exposed to some pretty nasty stuff. Chances are, they already have been. Some of it can t be avoided in today s world, but the things that we CAN do something about, we should. This is where organic goods come in to play. More and more items that you use regularly are available in organic, people safe, environmentally safe forms. Many foods (even frozen dinners), household cleaners, personal care items, and even clothes can be purchased in organic , all natural form. When something is organic, it means that no chemicals, pesticides, or unnatural substances of any kind have been used to produce it (at any point in the process). For clothes, this means that the cotton used to create the clothes is organic. It has not been polluted with dangerous chemicals and pesticides! This is important because, according to statistics, cotton receives more pesticides (in percentage points) than any other single crop in the United States. There are countless forces working against us... in the air, and in nearly everything we eat and touch. It only makes sense that our first line of defense should be the clothes that we wear every day. If there were no choices, then the lack of action on the part of parents in regards to their kids' clothes would be understandable. But in today's world, there ARE choices. Even if you don't have a store or boutique nearby the offers natural baby clothes, you have PLENTY of choices for online shopping that often have seasonal deals and specials... so even the prices isn't as much of an issue. Are natural baby clothes more expensive? Yes, unfortunately they are. Just in case there is any question, the health of your child is worth it!! It really isn't worth the risk to save a few dollars (or even a few hundred dollars) now and expose your kids to the "God-knows-what" that could be harmful or potentially fatal in the future. In a world where there are so many "enemies", your kids clothes can be just one more friend in your corner--and one more thing that you don't have to worry about.

The kind of clothes a baby wears largely depends upon affordability, the personality of the parents and of course the clothing materials. While all parents like their babies to be smartly -dressed, but there are some parents who walk the extra mile. Very often it has been seen that when buying apparel for the little one many parents encounter problems making choices whether to purchase designer baby clothes or organic baby clothing. Surely there exist some advantages and disadvantages for each, so it is completely the decision of parents to watch out what is most important to them and their little ones. Fortunately these daysâ€TM organic items are becoming more and more popular and in demand due to the problems with overseas products giving rise to some skin problems as these products are treated with harmful chemicals. Though organic clothes do not always look so stylish but are safe and devoid of any harmful chemicals and that it was made under humane conditions. Organic clothes using only natural fiber and dye definitely have the advantage over the designer baby clothes of not harming the skin of the tender skin of the babies and parents too can dress their child without any tension. Apart from this particular reason some parent thinks that purchasing expensive designer clothes for their babies is simply wasting their hard earned money based on the fact that their children will soon outgrow clothing quickly. Designer baby clothes on the other hand usually look better, but the consumer cannot be sure of under what conditions it was manufactured. Designer baby clothes are very expensive and are common among celebrity parents, wealthy and those who can afford it even though children outgrow clothing quickly. Parents love to see their child look smart and cute and so they go crazy when they visit any shopping mall buying expensive designer body suits, bibs, booties and bonnets and also determine to pay ten times more than they would if they went to a regular baby or department clothing store. Some of the best-known baby designers include Baby Dior, Baby Phat and Anne Geddes that rich parents go for. Though it is a true that organic baby clothes are safe to the tender skin of your baby but at times there are certain situations or occasions in that demands high fashion or stylish costumes which an organic clothes could not provide and thus could not compete with the designer baby clothes. Designer baby clothes are definitely going to offer you more choices and organic baby clothes is definitely going to save your child from skin problems. So the decision is yours. You can keep both type and dress your child according to the demand of the situation.

Babies are often the epitome of pureness and softness. Many parents are now focused on using the most natural products for their children. That has prompt a trend in Organic Baby Clothes. For the past few years, healthy organic diet become a part of our day. More and more people are nowadays aware what food they buy and where does this food come from. It is no surprise that more people rather pay slightly more for the food that comes from organic/free farm source, compare to usual wholesale goods filled in the shelves of big chain supermarkets. I became one of them. But it is not just an organic food that has been in a focus, it is organic clothes too. Especially when we are talking about the clothes for our little precious babies, who depends on us, adults. It is our decision what is the best for our babies. Creating a pure, natural environment is a vital decision for a growing number of parents. With our children exposed to pollutants in many aspects of life, choosing organic fibers is another step towards natural living, both for our sensitive babies, as well as our environment. More toxic insecticides are used on cotton than on any other crop around the world. Majority of the baby clothes we buy today are made of synthetic materials such as polyester and nylon. Both of which are made of petrochemicals. These petrochemicals can be dangerous to our baby as babies has very soft skin far different the skin of an adult. At Organic Baby Clothes http://www.organicbabyclothes.wordpress.com you will find valuable tips and resources about organic clothes for your baby. Whether you are an experience mother or 1st time mother, you should always consider the best for your baby.

Baby clothes are such goods that people would always buy no matter what the price is or what so ever. If you have a baby, or you are expecting one (or may be several!) than you definitely have already thought about buying clothes for your new member of the family. Baby clothes should be of high quality, because you cannot afford your sweet child spend his or her first days and years of life in discomfort. Besides you surely want your baby to look cute, well, we know that your baby is cute, but every child should be nicely dressed. Unlike it is with adults, we buy nice clothes because it is our wish, babies do not choose clothes to wear, unless they are 2 or so years of age, we do this for them and mainly, in order to please ourselves and those who would see the baby. Unfortunately it quite often happens that there are no baby clothes shops in many neighborhoods in big towns and cities so that moms should spend hours in search of such places. Than they also have to choose, and the choice is not always that great as it should be. The situation with small towns and villages can at times be at all awful. Therefore most entrepreneurs who know the situation on the market in the location they are situated and nearby do the right choice and go for baby clothes shop business plan. They can have arranged everything in the place and with the papers but they should decide what to choose, I mean the goods. It is possible to do a research and to find the firms that specialize in baby clothes and then somehow to decide what firm is the best one, but it would take much time, money, and efforts. In this case it would be wise to turn to the dropshipper who does wholesale dropship baby clothes. Dropshipper who can wholesale dropship baby clothes would offer you the best variants of clothes producers that would surely suit you and you wouldn’t have to take care of anything. All you would have to do would be to pay to the sropshipper. It is not easy to find a reliable wholesale dropship baby clothes supplier as it may seems at first glance. Free lists do not provide acceptable prices and excellent service. Fee based lists are not a guaranteed remedy as well, but check a look at the below drop ship directories that provide free trial, free preview and money back guarantee. Are you a cool dresser and do you want your baby to look the same? Urban baby clothes are great for making your new baby look stylish and trendy when you are out shopping, but they are also functional clothes for all seasons. Individual pieces can be put together to create a really trendy look whether you are in a city mall or playing in the park. I always think of urban clothing as utility wear, yet flexible enough to be worn in any situation. Babies are really tough on their clothes, you may put bibs on them but they still manage to spread the mess everywhere. The fabric of all baby clothes should be soft and capable of withstanding numerous washes. Urban baby clothes may be fashionable but they are adaptable. Wearing layers is a real advantage when kitting your baby out. When it is chilly, a trendy T-shirt over a long sleeves is ideal, if the weather warms up, then it is easy to strip one off. If it turns really cold, add a hoodie and your babe will be snug. Urban clothes are hard wearing. Think of the stylish but practical, casual look that you wear around the city and transfer the idea to your baby. Cargo trousers will look as trendy on your baby as they do on you, stylish sneakers and boots are available in baby sizes. Hats, gloves and scarves will finish the outfit. If you live in a small town rather than a city, you may find little choice in your local shops, but online there are a number of great stores stocking a wide variety of urban outfits and accessories to go with them. Online auctions are a good place to look for clothing bargains. As good quality urban clothes are tough, children outgrow them so quickly they do not wear out. Selling them online means parents can make a little money to reinvest in a new outfit, while the buyer gets them at a fraction of the shop price. Look out for bundles of clothes, you may not like them all, but you can always put any you don't want back into the auction. Of course there is no need to stop at clothes. Really cool bibs, bottles and fancy diapers bags are all available to complete the image. There are some great looking sling carriers for your little tot too, so shop around and turn your baby out as stylish as yourself! Few things seem more important at a baby shower than duckies, monkeys and theme colors. Once you get the baby home though, the most important thing about baby clothes is how well they protect your baby.Depending on the time of year that your baby is born, and the type of climate you live in, there are a variety of concerns to take into consideration for your baby's very sensitive nature. For summer babies, or babies in warm climates, overheating is not the only concern. A baby's skin is incredibly sensitive to light, especially with the increasingly less protective o-zone layer. Sunscreen is not the only necessity for baby's sensitive skin. Keeping a towel or blanket over the baby's carriage or bassinet during summer play is a great way to keep the sun from harming your baby. Umbrellas and pop up tents are also great for beach days. Make sure there is plenty of ventilation but little to no sun—that way your baby wonâ€TMt get sunburned or have to squint at the bright sun rays. For daily summer wear, onesies that are made of a lightweight cotton are a great alternative to pants and shirts. In addition to being comfortable, they will easily fit in a small bag or purse that you can bring along in extra in case of a spill or accident. Another bonus of your baby being born in the summer is that it will keep shoe costs down, since a baby in a stroller in seventy five to eighty degree weather does not really need to wear shoes! Keeping a blanket in the stroller is important, especially if you're in air conditioned buildings a lot, since babies are a lot more sensitive to the change in air temperature. For winter wear, bundling babies in layers is a good way to combat the difference between heated buildings and the outside. Avoiding long stretches of being outside in colder temperatures is probably a good idea, but for short walks or trips between cars and buildings, warm bundling is vital. If you live in a climate that has a lot of snow, the danger of sun burn is even more prevalent than in the summer, since it attacks from all angles. Warm socks, mittens, and hats will do a good deal to keep most of the baby's body heat in. Buntings that button down the front are a great way to let the baby escape from the heat a little bit when you are inside without too much effort for you or discomfort for the baby. Layers work in almost every weather. As any New Englander will tell you, the ability to put on a layer or take it off is the key to combating shifting climates. This is particularly important for your baby, who is much more sensitive than you to slight changes in temperature or outside conditions. So keeping an extra sweater around, or putting an onesie underneath warmer clothing is a great way to prepare for anything that Mother Nature has in store. Parent faces confusion with many choices when choosing and buying baby clothes especially in the early stage of the baby when the baby grows quickly. While buying a baby cloth parent should emphasize on certain factors that will surely help them make the correct choice. Firstly they should consider the need, price, fashion, comfort, purpose, climate and the hour of the day the baby should wear and they can purchase. Such before hand workouts will enable the parents to get rid of the confusion that they deal with while purchasing their baby clothes. For your little baby who is found sleeping for maximum hours, you basically need three types of clothes: daytime clothes, sleepwear, and clothes for going out although the baby sleepwear will likely outweigh the other categories, as sleeping is what babies spend most of their time doing in the early stages. The day wear that your baby requires to wear around the home must be comfortable, easy to access for changing diapers, and simple because these clothing articles are bound to get soiled because at this stage your baby dribbles, brings up her milk, crawls around on the floor, or does any of the other messy baby pastimes. Therefore the best clothes for day-to-day needs are probably simple body suits that suit both your routine and the level of cleanliness and smartness you want for your baby. Sleepwear or Nightwear should meet some of the same needs as the day wear, at least in terms of comfort, and accessibility for changing. In fact, parent need to use their common sense while purchasing baby clothes until that time when their child will become capable to express their feelings. Sleepwear differs from a warm climate to cold climate. While sleepwear in a warm climate should be light, warm or heavier knit pajamas or similar sleepwear are required in a colder region with colder nights. Baby wear; for outdoor or special occasion the parents have a chance to dress their baby to look smart and nice. But care should be taken that all these fashionable clothes should meet some of the same needs as the day wear or the sleepwear. Make sure that straps, snaps, bows and so on do not interfere with diaper changing, or cause any discomfort to the baby. So make the right choice keeping in mind that your baby clothes does not hinder their movements as well as create discomfort and see her/him how she/he struts around like a teenage fashion model. designer clothes for kids - upscale clothes for kids

Disney and children go together like milk and crackers. Its just a given that in almost any American household where children reside there is something in the home that was made by, produced by, licensed by, or endorsed by Disney. Because of this natural affinity that Disney and kids seem to have, the Disney Corporation has been making clothing for children for nearly as long as they’ve been in business. This form of licensing and merchandising took off to new levels when George Lucas proved that there was money in movie licensing tie-ins with Star Wars in 1977. Today when a Disney movie is released there are kids’ and babies’ clothing items bearing the likenesses of the main characters faster than a parent can say Bambi. While some Disney titles are hit or miss these days (compare the numbers for Home on the Range with those for Finding Ne man) there are titles that seemed to strike a chord with kids and parents alike and the company still sells massive amounts of children’s, toddlers’, and babies’ clothing related to those films. The Little Mermaid Even sixteen years after its release, kids and parents still love The Little Mermaid. Every little girl wants to be Ariel (the titular mermaid) and their mothers don’t mind helping them. Disney still sells t-shirts, swimsuits, and various other clothing items for babies and children with the film’s motifs in droves. Finding Ne man One of Disney’s most popular recent releases, Finding Ne man offers massive amounts of babies’ clothing designs. Like Mermaid, the film’s aquatic theme lends itself especially well to swim wear and summer wear for boys and girls alike. In fact, the first item listed when you enter the “infants” page on Disney Direct, the company’s web store, is a Finding Ne man one-piece swimsuit for girls. Classic Characters The more things change, the more they stay the same someone once said and he may have been on to something. Of all the Disney themed apparel for babies and toddlers, no items are more popular with the kids or their parents than those that bear the images of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the lovable dog Pluto. These are baby clothing items that are unlikely to ever disappear and which are so popular that a child throwing a foam brick in the daycare center is likely to hit at least one kid with Mickey stenciled or printed somewhere on his or her clothing. Suffice to say that when you’re choosing casual clothing for your little Mickey or Minnie Mouse, you can’t go wrong with designs by Disney. Written by: Kirsten Hawkins

When buying baby clothes parents are suddenly inundated with multiple choices that can become quite confusing. How many cute and adorable outfits does little Bill or Hillary need? How many “On site” body suits are enough? For little people that grow so quickly there are certainly a wide variety of clothing options, how does a new parent know what to get? To help settle the dilemma and answer these questions, parents need to keep in mind a simple “rule of three.” Babies need three kinds of clothes. Clothes are needed for daytime wear, for going out, and for sleeping. The baby sleepwear will likely outnumber the other varieties since sleeping is what babies spend most of their time doing, but the numbers of each outfit will vary in direct relation to the number of times the parents are willing to do laundry. Baby Day wear The clothes you have for your baby to “hang around” in should be comfortable, easy to access for diaper changes, and simple. These are the articles that your baby will spend most of her time in and they’re bound to get dirty. When the baby spits up, spews strained beets all over the place, crawls around on the floor, or does any of the other relatively messy and somewhat disgusting things that babies do, these clothes are going to bear the brunt of the abuse. As such, you probably don’t want these things to happen while baby is wearing the beautiful Baby Dior outfit that Aunt Edna gave as a shower gift. The best clothes for these day to day needs are simple body suits with snaps at the crotch. on sides are a brand name of these items, but the term has pretty much entered the language to mean any such article designed this way. You’ll probably want anywhere between five and ten of these on hand. Baby Sleepwear Clothing for sleeping should meet some of the same specifications as the baby day wear in terms of comfort and accessibility. Obviously if you live in a colder region or it is the middle of December you’ll want heavier articles than if you live in Phoenix and its July. Babies can still be messy when they sleep, but are usually nowhere near as messy as when they’re up and around. In warm enough climates the same style of on sides that are used for baby’s daytime activities can double as sleepwear, but if the temperature is cooler you’ll want heavier knit PHs or similar sleepwear. Dressing up Baby The outdoor baby wear is where the parents really get to shine. Here is where you can utilize the cute and adorable stuff that was given as shower gifts or that you just couldn’t resist picking up during a routine trip to Wal-Mart. These items should still be examined for practicality, making sure that straps, snaps, bows and such do not interfere with diaper changing or cause discomfort to the infant, but you’re a little freer to show off. After all, everyone wants to coo over an adorable baby. When the adorable baby is adorably dressed, the cooing is that much sweeter. Written by: Kirsten Hawkins

The sheer excitement of having a baby prompts everyone to spend lavishly on baby clothes for the new arrival but the fun is short lived as even the costliest of clothes become small for the fast-growing baby in a few months’ time. The baby might have worn these expensive clothes only a few times before it outgrows them and then it’s time for shopping for baby clothes again. Most people cannot afford to spend repeatedly every few months for buying baby clothes. It’s important that you plan out this aspect of buying baby clothes so that you do not waste money and your baby gets the best of clothes. A few useful tips are given below: Avoid Buying Tight-Fitting Clothes Since you know that babies grow very fast, you should not buy perfect fitting baby clothes as these will become unsuitable for the baby in a very short time. The best thing to do is to buy larger sized baby clothes as you will be able to use them for a longer period of time. Buy Easy To Wear Baby Clothes You can make your life easier if you buy baby clothes that are easy to wear. You won’t have to struggle when you try to put the clothes on your baby and there will be less wear and tear also. Moreover, you should avoid shopping for baby clothes that are in several pieces and need to be buttoned from behind or pulled over the head. You should opt for baby clothes that are made in a single piece and are open from the front and have snap buttons or zippers. This will make life much easier for mothers who might just have recovered from pregnancy complications. Look Out For Clearance Racks And Genuine Sales A great way of saving money when you are buying baby clothes is to look out for clearance racks where you can get some great deals with cheap maternity clothes. Sometimes, you can get a huge discount on the prices of baby clothes merely because of a very minor manufacturing problem that just doesn’t matter at all. Moreover, you should wait for the mega sales that are a regular feature at most stores and this is where you can pick up some fantastic deals. Disposing Off Old Clothes For Cash Sometimes it is possible to exchange the old clothes of your baby for cash but the amount of money that you will receive will be miniscule. However, something is always better than nothing. Accepting Old Clothes from Others There is no harm in accepting old clothes from friends and relatives. Mostly these clothes are in good shape, having been used very scarcely since the child might not have gotten the opportunity to wear them. There is no shame involved in accepting well-meant presents from others and you can save a lot of money in the bargain. As it is, even your baby might outgrow these clothes very soon. There is no doubt that everyone wants that his/her baby to appear smart in the latest baby clothes and it is essential that you should also work towards that objective. However, it must be remembered that baby clothes need not be expensive in order to look smart and attractive. It’s the way you maintain your baby and her clothes that really matters.

As Parents we want the best for our Baby. We want to keep our Babies safe from things that might harm them. This is exactly why more and more Parents are choosing Organic Cotton Baby Clothes. Organic Baby Clothing has recently become very popular with concerned parents due to the Natural way the Cotton is grown, therefore making it a better choice for our Baby's Clothing needs. Cotton that has been organically grown is not subjected to harsh Chemicals and Pesticides as is Non-Organic Cotton, therefore making it a better choice for your Baby and our Planets Environment. There is one drawback to choosing Organically Manufactured Baby Clothing, and that one drawback is the higher price! Since the process for growing and manufacturing Organic Cotton Baby Clothing is more expensive, and as Parents we must pay higher prices for the Organic Baby Clothes we buy. However we do get the peace of mind knowing there are no harsh or harmful chemicals in our Baby's Clothing. Not only is Organic Cotton grown under stringent standards, it is also manufactured under very tight guidelines, in order to be considered Organic in nature. The manufacturing process must not include harmful fabric dyes and or harmful chemicals in the Growing, Processing and Manufacturing of organic clothing. Parents should be cautious when buying Organic Baby Clothes, and be sure to read the Clothing Labels carefully, because there are Clothing Manufactures that are not totally truthful, or ethical. Some Manufactures will label the clothing as "Organic" when in fact it is NOT fully Organic in Nature. It is advised that Parents should shop for Name Brands that you both know and trust when shopping for Organic Clothing for your Baby. Buying Organic Clothes is safer for your baby as well as safer for the environment. Just be sure to read the labels and check for wording like, "Organically Grown Cotton" and possibly "Organically Manufactured Cotton", to be assured you are buying Authentic Organic Cotton Baby Clothes for your Baby. Buyer beware, as my Dad always said! As a Frugal Mom I want my Baby to wear Organic Cotton Baby Clothes; however the price is rather high if you are Shopping at the Local Mall, or Independent Baby Stores. Since my Baby is actually allergic to some of the fabric dies used in Non-Organic Cotton Baby Clothing I had to begin buying ONLY Organically Grown and Manufactured Baby Clothes for her. I first went Online and researched the topic of “Organic Baby Clothes” and found the prices Online to be less than in the Brick and Mortar Baby Stores in Town. However, one day in my research I found a link on Google to Ebay and it was about Organic Baby Clothing, so I clicked the link and was pleasantly surprised with what I found. In searching further on Ebay, I found I could save even more money buying Organic Cotton Baby Clothes on Auction, and sometimes I even get Free Shipping from some Ebay Sellers Online. As a Work at Home Mom on a tight budget I welcome any opportunity to save money on things I buy on a regular basis such as Baby Items. So, needless to say I spend a fair amount of time searching for all types of Baby related items on auction at Ebay. I have saved lots of money and found tons of great deals on Organic Cotton Baby Clothes, and other Baby Items since I found Ebay. When it comes to saving money, and saving time, I like the idea of shopping at home and not having to worry about finding a parking place, fighting traffic, or standing in line at the cash register. Plus, I also save money on gas by shopping online. I guess that is why I am called The Frugal Mom!

In the world of art, there is a movement called post modernism. If you're not an art student, or an artist, or a professor of art, there's really only one thing you need to know about Post modernism. It means that you can do whatever you want. Essentially, it is a melding of things that have come before, a new take on old things. What does this have to do with baby clothes? Anything you want it to. Perhaps you're a young mother who is sick of the basic options of pink and blue, ruffled or hemmed with ribbon. Perhaps you're on your second or third child and frustrated that the styles for your baby haven’t changed at and you’re tired of looking at the same thing over and over again. Perhaps you just don't feel like shopping for baby clothes once every two weeks as your infant grows into the next size that they will rapidly outgrow. In any case, there is a solution to your frustration. There are lots of things that are not baby clothes, but could be. Like what you ask? How about bandannas? That's right, your baby is tiny. If teeny topper club girls can wear bandannas as shirts, imagine how much baby can fit into one! Bandannas are great for summer time as a shirt or a diaper cover, and that can be accomplished without a bit of sewing! With a little bit of snipping and stitching, there is plenty of material for an infant sized dress or pair of pants. Baby doll t-shirts that are made for young women are ideal as dresses for older infants or even toddlers. Sure, some of the writing on them may not be so “babyish,” but some of the more neutral styles would be much dressier than you can find for the same price in baby dresses. Taking your own worn out clothes, or just clothes you're sick of as material to make clothing for your baby is a great way to personalize their style through your once loved clothing. It will save money and give you a little bit more space in your closet. Do you have a t-shirt that you once loved, but that now is stretched in an unflattering manner, or perhaps has wear spots in a specific area? If so, you're not alone! Most of the material from the t-shirt can be salvaged and made into a whole outfit for your baby to play in with a simple pattern that can be purchased for less than two dollars. There are lots of other household items that can be used to tend to your baby. A normal sized bath towel, for example, can, in a matter of minutes be converted into a robe for your baby to wear at the beach or when just out of the bath. When the baby is an infant, just adding some accents and a hood to the towel will make a cheaper alternative to designer robes, and is a one of a kind statement that you simply can't buy at a department store. Let your creative mind wander before you throw out those never used scraps of material and old clothes. Your wallet and your baby will thank you. Written by: Kirsten Hawkins

Most first time parents get a shock when at about fourteen months their darling decides they don’t want to wear clothes! The first thing to realise is that there is nothing unusual about this it is just a small part of baby growing up. Granted it can be quite embarrassing if you have guests around and baby decides to bear all! Embarrassing for you and the guest. Don’t get over excited and insist that baby wears his or her clothes ALL the time. No it is best if you set limits on when you will allow baby to un-cloth and when you will not all them to un-cloth. You are teaching baby a very important social norm at this point so be firm. Once you have set your limits be firm, and enforce the rule. You may feel like screaming, but every time baby breaks the rules and starts to undress then redress him, again and again and again. Babies are not stupid and pretty soon they will get the message. Remember though babies are also great manipulators! Think carefully about when you are going to let baby ‘bear all.’ Common sense will dictate that this is best done when there is little likelihood of traffic into and out of the home. Baby may not be embarrassed by his physique but others outside the family might feel uncomfortable with a naked baby running around them. Because baby will feel less restricted without their clothes they will be rushing around that little bit more and are therefore more likely to get a knock on some of their more exposed areas. When naked time is over a good way of getting your child to re-robe is to let him or her pick their own clothing you can do this by laying out a small selection of suitable clothing. Most babies enjoy this exercise and in the long run they become more interested in clothing and it may even help them get over their naked period. I’ve watched parents visit their attitudes about their bodies onto their children. You are the biggest influence in your child’s life and a little carelessness could make your child feel ashamed of his or her body. Children have to explore in order to develop, and this is all part of that journey and with a little bit of though before hand you can let the child figure out that undressing in public is not right and this is much better than just telling them ‘don’t do that. That’s bold. ’ Baby is now busy exploring the world around them, educate them well and it will pay handsome rewards in the future. ew parents are full of concerns about what regular household activities may pose a threat or present problems for their newest family member. At some point the question about the best ways to wash baby clothing will arise. Parents typically ask whether there is a certain type off detergent that they should use, whether it is safe to wash baby clothes with the rest of the family's clothing and what special steps should be taken with cloth diapers if they are being used. Detergent This is a valid concern. It is not atypical for certain detergents to irritate the skin of adults and older children, so it is certainly feasible that a baby's tender and sensitive skin can be easily irritated by harsh detergents. There are several detergents on the market that are supposedly intended for baby's clothing, but there is not much difference between them and other mild detergents. The best choice for parents to make in this area is to purchase mild detergent that is free from added colors and fragrances and wash the clothing in that. If the baby does develop a rash or seems to be experiencing skin discomfort of any kind, the first thing to do is consult the family pediatrician. The doctor may simply recommend that a different detergent be used, but will also be able to determine if there is a more serious problem. Washing Baby Clothes with Family Clothes Some parents feel that the baby's clothing needs to be washed separately from that of the rest of the family. The rationale for this is that the other family members' clothing could somehow taint or contaminate the baby's. There is no reason to worry about this and it is perfectly safe to wash baby's clothes and bedding along with everyone else's. The exception to this rule is cloth diapers. If parents are using cloth diapers and washing them at home rather than using a diaper service, they must be washed apart from everything else. Cloth Diapers Cloth diapers are fading into memory, replaced by the more convenient disposable brands that are on the market. For families that choose to use these, however, there are some special considerations. The most sanitary way to utilize reusable cloth diapers is to contract a diaper service. This will take away the hassle of washing the diapers at home and ensure that the replacement diapers are sterile. For families that choose to wash at home, the previous paragraph details that they should be kept separate from all other laundry. Storing the diapers until wash time must be done as sanitarily as possible. This means rinsing the cloth diaper in the toilet to remove solid wastes, then storing it in a pail until it is time to be washed. The pail should be covered to prevent odor and lined with a disposable or washable liner. The pail, lid, and liner should be cleaned whenever the diapers are and the soiled diapers should be washed at least twice weekly. Written by: Mike Cliff

While selecting clothes for your baby there are a variety of concerns to take into consideration for your baby's very sensitive nature. The measure of comforts and protection should be given the first importance when purchasing baby clothes. Bundling babies in layers is a good way to combat the cold, chilly winter. Warm socks, mittens, and hats will do a good deal to keep most of the baby's body heat in especially if you are living live in a climate that has a lot of snow where the danger of sun burn is even more prevalent than in the summer since it attacks from all angles. Buntings that button down the front are good for children. It helps the baby escape from the heat a little bit without too much effort when they are inside the buildings. As it is known that babyâ€TMs skin is incredibly sensitive to light and with the increasingly less protective o-zone layer it is very significant for anyone who is in charge of taking care of a baby to see that the baby is unscreened. Since summer wear includes mostly light clothes therefore keeping a towel or blanket over the baby's bassinet during summer play is a great way to keep the ultraviolet sun rays from harming your baby. Take care when you and your baby both are spending time together on beach. Spending hours at beach is a fun and favorite past time for many but make sure to remain under umbrellas and pop up tents when taking rest. Gone are those days when it was emphasized to keep the baby under sun for some time since it was thought previously that sun rays are good for babyâ€TMs health. At present with the increasingly less protective o-zone layer it has become important to protect your child from harmful sun rays. Care should be taken that little to no sun rays but proper ventilation is must in the room where the baby is kept so that your baby is safe from getting sun burnt. If you are having air-condition then take are to keep blanket in the stroller to save your baby from change in air temperature. For temperature sensitive baby layers work well as they are easy to put on or take it off. Therefore putting an onesie underneath warmer clothing is a great way to combat shifting climates. Therefore it can be concluded that layers work well in almost any weather condition.

Looking after young child involves managing a variety of tasks; one of the more pleasurable among these is buying baby clothes. However, shopping for children's clothes requires careful thought. While selecting baby clothes, always check whether they are: • Functional: Obviously, looks will play a big role in the baby clothes you pick up. However, always keep practicalities in mind too. Select baby clothes that are easy to put on and take off. This is especially important in young children who will require frequent diaper changing. As a dad, beware of pants and outfits that require a lot of snaps and buttons. Moms have patience for these added nuisances. Dads will often just leave them undone because no one will notice anyway. • Comfortable: Numerous fashionable accessories may make your child look adorable. However, in the wrong places, they may be uncomfortable, and could even hurt your child. While picking up baby clothes consider how buttons, ribbons, and other attachments might irritate your baby and avoid buying these. • Weather-appropriate: Keep seasonal conditions in mind while buying your baby's clothes. There is no point smothering your baby in woolens during hot weather, or buying skimpy dresses for winter wear. In areas with wide variations in temperature, moms spend a lot of time organizing baby clothes inventory around the growth of the baby and the approaching season. • Alterable: Young children outgrow their clothes very quickly. This means that you may have to routinely discard perfectly good baby clothes that have hardly been worn. Instead, it may be better to buy baby clothes that are a little bigger, or can be easily altered, so that they can last your child a little longer. This is a practical solution and will save your time, effort, and money. Provide recommendations on child development, baby sleep, baby products like baby-clothes-buying-guide-for-dads.html>baby clothes baby bouncer, and baby-bedding-a-buyer-s-guide.html>baby bedding for dads and new dads.
