Welcome to the world of fine art … a creative adventure where we can craft the mood and ambience with the right choice of art prints. Thatâ€TMs where our site comes in … with the largest collection of wall decor available anywhere. In a wide range of topics, separated by categories, they are easily locatable by either the style or genre that fits your decor. The hottest thing to hit home decorating markets, our range of wall décor ranges from contemporary, artistic, inspirational, to classics, landscapes, and whimsical pieces. The beauty and movement of these images scintillate our eyes and ears. These set the feel and atmosphere of any space. Whether contemporary, abstract, modern, expressive, ethnic, the beauty of these art prints can remain everlasting if maintained well. Plak editions are an inimitable, striking and economical process of mounting, laminating and protecting and displaying your art prints and posters. Dry-mounted onto wood that is pressed into high density, it is then permanently sealed with a clear vinyl matte laminate. Plak editions maintain the quality of and protect art prints. The vinyl matte laminate is glare free and does not break. Instead the beauty of each print is enhanced. It also enables easy cleaning as we can wipe it free of dust. It prevents fading and is scratch free. Canvas editions emulate the shine and rich textured finish of an original oil painting. This is a meticulous and exhaustive process, beginning with an art print. Application of special chemicals form a film that when dried is painstakingly separated from the paper and embedded onto a high quality artist canvas. This canvas is later stretched and wrapped around a strong, custom-cut inner support frame. This thoroughly intense process results in a fantastic museum-quality textured piece of art that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. These simulated oil paintings that have carefully been transferred onto canvas are thus handcrafted individually and are worthy museum pieces for any room in your home or office. In the comfort of your abode, you are thus able to experience the true color and exquisite detail of these fine replicas of beautiful masters.

The cosmos, both in appearance and reality is a beautiful and diverse natural art. The Landscapes, exposing a Beautiful Art and existing in the cosmos surely adds to the natural beauty of the universe. Landscapes are designated to be a form of art, for, like art it is unique, creative, symbolic and expressive, probably created by an Intelligent Designer who is beyond our perception. The planetoids, the Milky Way, the galaxy and all others, partaking in the system of the cosmos are undoubtedly beautiful but as a matter of fact, the lavishing beauty of landscapes can be personally experienced by all, which has made mankind very intimate to the various beautiful landscapes existing in the world. The very word 'landscape' is derived from the Dutch, 'landscape' meaning a sheaf or sometimes as a cultivated land. Landscapes, a Beautiful Art depicts different sceneries such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, forests and so on. The blooming flowers, the twilight of the horizon, the twitter of the birds, the passionate red of the rising sun inclusively make the Landscapes, a Beautiful cosmic Art. It is a well-approved maxim that beauty beholds in the eye of the perceiver. The same thing might not be designated as universally beautiful. But violating this maxim, different landscapes of the universe enriched with greeneries have been universally regarded to be a beautiful art pertaining to the universe. Art is that form of discipline, which refreshes and enriches our mind with the spirit of recreation. Similarly Landscapes, a Beautiful Art when viewed intensely proves to be an exact source of pleasure and delight. The picturesque landscapes throughout the universe have aesthetically turned to be the local point of interest of many birds and animals. According to Schiller, " Art is the right hand of nature." Thus the landscapes being an inseparable aspect of nature is something, which is artistically represented and experienced. The Landscapes, being one of the most Beautiful cosmic Art, is a precious gift to the entire world.

The town ancient Italian capitals, Turin (from 1861 to 1865) and Salerno (from 10th February to 15th July 1944), have established a bright artistic twinning becoming the towns of art and lights. Nights have become magic thanks to the wonderful lights that decorate the towns. They emphasize the beauty of monuments, buildings, and churches; they give a new charm to shopping; they create a magic atmosphere made of cheerfulness and enthusiasm. Lights in Salerno and Turin are real masterpieces: works of art set up in the most charming and picturesque corners of the two towns, from 8th November to 31st January in Salerno and from 6th November to 13th January in Turin. The atmosphere is unique: towns seem different; lights convey cheerfulness, warmth, and enthusiasm. Palaces and houses have now a new aspect thanks to the new chromatic effects created by lights. Streets and squares acquire a new charm that involves inhabitants and makes them feel like living in a new and more beautiful town. Tourists are enchanted; they feel to enter a real crib. They are attracted by these lights that also give more importance to monuments, palaces and churches. It is an open-air exhibition that perfectly fits Christmas atmosphere. In Turin Luci d Artista event include 19 installations that have transformed the town in an open-air gallery. There are the works of art by Mario Airò with Cosmometrie in Piazza Castello, Enrica Borghi with Palle di Neve in Via Roma, Daniel Buren with Tappeto Volante in Piazza Palazzo di Città, Francesco Casorati with Volo su.. in Via Garibaldi, Nicola De Maria with Regno dei Fiori... in Piazza Vittorio, Richi Ferrer with Lucedotto in Corso Lecce/Corso Regina Margherita, Carmelo Giammello with Planetario in Via Cernaia and Via Pietro Micca, Jeppe Hein with Illuminate Benches in Piazza Carignano, Rebecca Horn with Piccoli Spiriti Blu at Monte dei Cappuccini, Joseph Kosuth with Doppio Passaggio at Murazzi, Luigi Mainolfi with Luì in Via Lagrange, Mario Merz with Il volo dei numeri at Mole Antonelliana, Mario Molinari with Concerto di parole in Giardini Reali, Mimmo Paladino with Schegge di luce at Palazzina Fiat in Corso Agnelli, Qingyun Ma with Neongraphy at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Via Modane, Domenico Luca Pannoli with L amore non fa rumore in Via Verdi, Michelangelo Pistoletto with Amare le differenze at Porta Palazzo, Jan Vercruysse with Fontane Luminose in Piazzetta Reale and Gilberto Zorio with Luce, fontana, ruota at Italia 61. On the first, third and fifth Saturday of the month, there are guided tours in Italian/French, while on the second and the fourth Saturday they are in Italian/English. At the same time, many masterpieces are exhibited also in Salerno thanks to the twinning between the two towns. There are the works of art by Vasco Are with Vele di Natale in Largo Prato, Luigi Nervo with Vento solare in Piazza Flavio Gioia, Giulio Paolini with Palomar in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Luigi Stoisa with Noi in Via Diaz and a new work created by Enrica Borghi for Salerno, Mosaico , in which the artist Enrica Borghi represents the beauty of the ancient part of Salerno (Via Mercanti Via Duomo).

Art schools offer programs that foster the intensive development of a creative mind. Yet they are not opening their doors to any and all dreaming poets. Such schools want students who demonstrate a real enthusiasm for their particular discipline. How does a creative student demonstrate his or her enthusiasm for a particular type of artistry? Such a student needs to develop a portfolio. The student who wants to apply to an art school must assemble a collection of samples, samples that show his or her innovative and determined spirit. The nature of those samples will depend on the type of program that the student hopes to enter. A student who wants to study fashion design, must have drawings of clothing that he or she has designed. A student who wants to study photography must have striking and compelling photographs within his or her portfolio. A student who wants to study music needs some audio equipment to share the contents of his or her portfolio. Advances in technology have led to a sudden expansion of the programs at art schools. Such schools have added to traditional programs in dance, music, and design. The nature of those additions might best be viewed by examining the programs at CalArts. CalArts is an arts school in Los Angeles County. Its development resulted from the introduction into that same region of the film industry. That introduction encouraged a close association between many different artists. CalArts seeks to guide creative young people who might take part in such an association. CalArts has a large number of courses not found in all art schools. It has courses that focus on the design and production elements of filmmaking. Some of those courses teach students about stage lighting. Some teach the students about making scenery. Some courses introduce the students to specifics about costume design. CalArts, like all art schools, offers its graduates help with finding that first job. Graduates who have learned some aspect of filmmaking might be encouraged to look for an internship opening. Any student who hesitates to become an intern might want to know the name of a past intern. Steven Speilburg began his career as an intern. CalArts also steers graduates towards the establishment of contact with those who can help the graduates to expand their network of relations. Networking is an important way to find a job, especially after one has completed the coursework at one of the art schools. Sometimes CalArts helps a graduate to become a personal assistant for a professional in the movie industry. Such an assistant is not a glorified "gopher". Such an assistant night enjoy an introduction to one of the unsung players in the filmmaking world.

It is obvious that any woman wants to look wonderful and to be admired, but a beautiful Romanian woman has always been a source of inspiration for artists and a comforting presence for people around her. That is why in national literature a beautiful Romanian woman is often associated with a flower, she is a delicate creature caressed by gentle breezes just like flowers. It does not matter what flowers are chosen as reference. Feminine beauty can be associated with a lily, or a jacinth, with a rose or a tulip. And if that woman is your Love, you can see her shinier and brighter than the others, you can see her pure, fresh and perfumed, just like a flower. To continue, this comparison is not only the perception of an outer similitude. It is as well the intuition of a deeply natural identity. This means that vegetal metaphors have been used to describe women according to their stages in life. Childhood and then teenage can be associated with flower blossoms, then they bloom and wither. The main feature which makes this comparison possible is outer beauty, outer appearance. A beautiful Romanian womans skin is usually soft and velvety, like flower petals, but not only physical beauty has made these women unique. Moral qualities, which a woman must have, like modesty and tenderness can highlight a womans beauty, which can spread more light when it is kept in the shadow. However, a flowers life is short, that is why the idea that beauty is not eternal is very clear in Romanian culture. Moreover, if a woman is delicate sometimes she may be considered weak, and sometimes men take advantage of their floral nature and treat them with superiority, which in the worst cases can even blur her personality. You may wonder if we talk about women today. Well, not necessarily about these women, because they may have floral appearance, but there are stronger and wiser and they can fight for their rights. A beautiful Romanian woman nowadays does not live in the shadow anymore, but she prefers to shine like a star. In Romania, many of the young girls are more beautiful than the greatest Barbie dolls. They look like this because their mothers taught them to pay attention to their appearance - even at this young age. Then, in lower secondary school, their dream is to become models, actresses or singers. After college, most of them choose jobs in which beauty is really appreciated. What can be underlined is that a beautiful woman in Romania in general is aware of her beauty and she is able to use her physical qualities in order to succeed in life. If you add to these qualities, spiritual beauty, you must be sure that it will be a pleasure for to meet a beautiful Romanian woman. She can be a real delight, not only for your eyes, but for your spirit as well.

When thinking about Alaska, most people conjure up images of wild landscapes; majestic mountain ranges, rugged coastlines, glaciers and forests. Not to mention wildlife in the many varied forms it takes in this natural place. Affinity for the landscape and the wildlife is a common theme in the north, and the art in Alaska is a reflection of that. It may come as a surprise to some that there is a cultural heartbeat to this land. The population is sparse, and the cities small, and yet there is a strong artistic community throughout. This is partly because of the rich cultural heritage passed down from generations of native Alaskans, whose symbolic and reverent art has survived thousands of northern winters. But also because the call of the north is often heard loudest by creative types, people who want to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of the big cities in the south and find a quieter, more reflective existence. One of the interesting things about being an artist in Alaska is that the intensity of the seasons creates a perfect rhythm for creating art. During the short summers most Alaskans take full advantage of the relatively warm weather, and enjoy all the outdoor activities that tourists like to do as well. It is also a great time for collecting materials, exploring new landscapes, and heading out in the bush for inspiration. Summer is generally a busy time, as everyone wants to get as much done as possible before the first frost comes. When the brief Autumn has ended, and all the preparations done, comes the long nights of winter. For artists this is not just a season to be endured, but a chance to really work on their craft. Large blocks of uninterrupted time are a wonderful thing for an artist, and art in Alaska benefits from having a very long winter. As one might expect, most art in Alaska reflects the themes of the land; natural settings and the wildlife that inhabits it. Also, many Alaskan artists are catering to the tastes of tourists and their desire to bring home a souvenir, so the bulk of Alaskan art tends to be representational. Landscapes are common, as are portraits of popular wildlife like bears and whales. Some artists concentrate on the minutiae of the land, like flowers and berries. For a more abstract outlook, native art tends to use the same themes but often distorts them in shape and colour. Landscapes are less common with native art, but animals are well represented. Often there are stories and legends attached to the art, so that the piece is less representational of the subject, but carries in the themes of the story. Traditional native art uses materials that are found locally in surprising ways, to create bold and beautiful works. There is even a small contemporary art scene, mostly centered in Anchorage and Homer. Here the art might incorporate the common themes in interesting ways, or reject them completely and not be identifiable as something uniquely Alaskan. Whatever your tastes, if you have an interest in North American wildlife or northern vistas, you are sure to find something you like by an Alaskan artist. The themes of the land run very strong through their work, and the long winter can mean they have had plenty of time to define their craft. If an Alaska vacation is in your plans, be sure to schedule some time to visit a few of the many art galleries to find your own special piece of the land to bring home with you. Homelessness refers to the grungy, dirty and criminal like individuals that most of society tries to ignore. They are classified as only people who cannot or refuse to acquire permanent housing because they supposedly too drunk or on too many drugs to afford “safe” and or adequate shelter. Homelessness is an umbrella term that is used to classify anyone and everyone whom does not neatly fit into the boxed like definition of acceptable...much like most of today’s computer manufactured homes. Berkeley artists built a Road Warrior / Beyond Thunderdome approach to a beehive of artists using 30 shipping containers. But as of today (May 14th) they have been forced to vacate. The ‘Shipyard’ artists began amassing the shipping containers about five years ago by stacking them two or three together on an industrial lot in West Berkeley. The containers were used for studios, performance art, welding, storage and occasional living quarters. The Shipyard has been home to countless large-scale art projects & installations, events and alternative energy experimentation, including a Survival Research Labs show (2001), How To Destroy The Universe Festival (2004 & 2005) and Burning Man projects The Clock Works (2005), Neverwas Haul (2006) and The Mechabolic (2007). But on Friday May 11th Berkeley's building and fire departments served The Shipyard, a group of several dozen Burning Man original creators, with a "cease and desist" order due to ongoing building and fire code violations, said Berkeley Deputy Fire Chief David Orth. "We don't want to drive artists out of Berkeley. Their work is cool," Orth said. "But we can't have them living in shipping containers." The artists, however, feel they've been trying to work with the city but Berkeley's codes are too stringent and expensive to comply with. Jim Mason the landowner has sent letters and has tried to work with city officials but contrary to what Deputy Fire Chief David Orth’s statement, city officials have offered little movement in expanding building codes from traditional structures. In addition to the contrary “we love art” declaration, the Fire Marshall maintained a get out or be fined ($2,500 per day) overload tyranny. As San Francisco’s rent remains consistently high and rises, rent in Berkeley, CA can be just as repressive. The containers offer cheap and secure space for local artists, many of whom can't afford Berkeley's steep rental prices. Below are just two advertisements found at the popular Craig’s List website. Several advertisements were for summer sublets, over a thousand monthly rents and boarding home-style room rentals. * $1800 / 1br - A Must SEE CONDO in Gourmet Ghetto * $2495 / 2br - New Downtown Berkeley This is a fight that has steadily been building steam. When the city denied them access to the electrical grid. Jim Mason responded by designing a solar power system so that The Shipyard produced all the energy it consumed. Than the city argued that the shipping containers were not safe, a weak argument at best. One of the most interesting trends in the green building movement of today is utilizing old shipping containers. Jones Partners is an Architect who has received high acclaim for his “critical manipulation of technology” building design using shipping containers... and SG Blocks Inc has partnered with local shipyards in depleting the over abundance of shipping containers and making new homes in the Louis area. So the argument that shipping containers are not safe is an unstable argument. In London, the government announced plans to build thousands of shipping container apartment / homes in the capital so public sector workers will not forced to move because of rising house prices. No news on rather this actually happened or not though. Berkeley is an alternative cultural Mecca and everyone is wondering why would Berkeley city officials would evict what they on their own website promote as being a city that has “cultural diversity, art, beautiful parks, innovative businesses, and friendliness amongst neighbors.” There are different theories as to why the city previously tolerated the Shipyard art community and than suddenly looked for reasons to evict the artists. One of the more popular beliefs is the upscale Berkeley Bowl supermarket near by. "The boxes are a 'Road Warrior,' 'Waterworld' castle of steel," O'Hare a Shipyard artist said. "They're completely safe. But the city doesn't recognize them under the building code." If Berkeley officials would have worked with artists instead of against the artists, both parties could have found the relationship mutually attractive. Berkeley should have given them a grant for being energy-efficient and attracting tourists to the area, while the artists would have gained not only additional funds for future projects but maintained a place to work and live. With new development constantly bulldozing their way through historic and depressed areas, is high profile manufactured art the only acceptable art?

Religious arts & crafts Religious arts & crafts allow artisans and crafters the opportunity to showcase the symbols of their faith, and the opportunity to craft an expression of their faith into tangible form. In this manner, religious arts & crafts provide a way for the faithful to proudly acknowledge their beliefs, and profess their love for their god or gods. Religious arts & crafts usually do this by referring to their religion s main textual tenants or predominant symbols. Which religions use arts & crafts to express belief? Religious arts & crafts, as commonly thought of in western society, is concerned primarily with Christianity. For this reason, the common symbols of Christianity the cross, fish and loaves, angels, Jesus Christ, etc. are commonly incorporated into American arts & crafts. Another popular theme is to incorporate scripture quotations. Of course, Christianity does not have a monopoly on religious arts & crafts; arts & crafts are well known within the Jewish tradition, for instance. Jewish arts & crafts typically focus on the most widespread symbols of Judaism, and include the Star of David, menorahs, and other icons of the belief. Jewish sayings are also frequently featured on Jewish arts & crafts. Ideas for religious arts & crafts Religious arts & crafts are designed to serve as decoration for one s home, office, vehicle, or church. Although religious features could be showcased in virtually any type of arts & crafts, these are some popular ideas for religious arts & crafts used for decoration: 1. Beaded Crafts: With a set of beads and string, pipe cleaners or safety pins, the devotee can create cute, creative religious arts & crafts. The possibilities for these crafts are almost endless, and are great for the whole family. These beaded crafts can be designed as jewelry, decorations, and other adornments. Virtually any religious symbol is possible with this versatile craft idea, from the Star of David to the Shroud of Turin. 2. Paint Your Own: Try to let your creative side out and paint your religious items for decoration and display or even for use in a religious service. Special ceramic paints are great to use for painting, decorating, and personalizing ceramic crosses, angels, and even scenes from the Bible. Personalize these paintings with names, birthdays, and scripture to make wonderful personalized gifts. 3. Cross Stitch & Embroidery: While it may take more skill and expertise, with a bit of practice most devotees can become experts and creating needlework arts & crafts. Religious needlework is especially noteworthy as it can combine both graphical images of crosses, angels, doves, and Bible scenes, as well as scripture, Bible verses, and other words of inspiration. Some more popular options for religious arts & crafts using cross stitch and embroidery include religious pillows and Bible covers. 4. Stained Glass Arts & Suncatchers: Stained glass art is popular for religious arts & crafts since stained glass is usually associated with churches and places of worship. This does not mean that you need to be a church to afford stained glass art. Far from it, inexpensive stained glass kits are readily available in most hobby and craft stores, and can be used by those without any previous experience. 5. Ornaments & Window Hangers: Ornaments and window hangers are often quite simple to create in the absence of specialized skills, all you need is some imagination and a dash of creativity. Ornaments may be designed specifically for the Christmas season, or may be year-round crafts that can be hung anywhere, even from your rearview mirror. Look on the Internet for some fun ideas for religious ornaments, hangers, and other crafts. 6. Handmade Jewelry: Most religious people will happily wear the symbols of their faith as a personal reminder of their faith and devotion. Handmade religious jewelry is very popular, and can include anything from resin angel earrings to homemade metal crucifixes. Brooches, necklaces, and bracelets are also very popular, and while they are generally designed for women, men are becoming increasingly comfortable wearing fine handmade crucifix necklaces. Looking for resources for making religious arts & crafts Many arts & crafts shows will feature quite a bit of religious crafts and artwork. While there are rarely shows designed specifically for this niche market, a very high percentage of artisans & crafters feature work that includes a religious focus. If you are not able to attend any shows, do not give up hope. When looking for other ideas for religious arts & crafts, head to your local Christian bookstore or specialty shop. These stores will almost always maintain special sections dedicated to arts & crafts supplies of a religious nature. These stores also typically have arts & crafts ready for purchase and gift giving. If you are more adventurous, go to a hobby and arts & crafts store and convert a secular hobby kit into a testament of your faith.

A beautiful art piece is a portrayal of the mind's creativity. It is a display of various expressions, facets and forms of life. Collecting attractive art pieces is a passion for art freaks and mesmerizing pleasure for common populace. Nobody can refrain himself from adulating the eternal beauty of a marvelous painting. However, the elements of fraudulence and forgery have made the requirement of an art lawyer indispensable, when it comes to buying or selling the original art pieces. An experienced and competent art lawyer is a solution to various art related issues and cases. It is not that one can consult an art lawyer only for fraud art cases, his presence is also very important while buying and selling the art pieces. It is often said that collecting art is an expensive hobby, especially when you wish to buy a particular painter's creation from different sellers or art agencies. You must check for the authentication and certification of the firm and this can be easily speculated by an art lawyer. This is because they are professional lawyers and know about all the aspects related to fraudulent art piece suppliers. Their experience and professional approach will gage the authentication of the seller in the most practical and legal manner. Therefore, if a person is accompanied by any such lawyer during the time of purchasing art pieces, he can surely save a lot on his money and time. In addition to this saving, there will be no added pressure and pain of investing in a duplicate or morphed art piece. Art is a universal interest. It is not that only hard core art lovers like to indulge in the pleasure of gathering creativity. Many people wish to buy good and attractive art pieces for the purpose of decoration. Captivating paintings given entirely different look to the offices, homes, studios, shopping complexes and other places. Bright utilization of colors is considered extremely effective in enlightening the ambiance and boosting up the spirit of people at work. Therefore, it is not wrong to say that art pieces are favored by all sects of society and it is not compulsory that everyone will have good information and right knowledge to judge the originality of the art pieces. It is for this reason, many people contact with a qualified Art lawyer who can guide them the entire procedure. Lawyers can also offer a list of reliable and registered art and paintings sellers. Finally I would also like to add an important point, that it is not always the customers who seek assistance of an art lawyer; even the sellers have to consult these lawyers in few cases. Many times, the buyer refuses to pay the actual quoted price of an art pieces and then only a lawyer can help the seller in extracting the required money in a legalized manner. So, if you find any similarity to such situation, instantly search for an art lawyer. You can easily find good results to your search on Internet. Nowadays numerous law firms are sincerely assisting people in fighting against the art cases. The gathering of holiday mementos is an ideal way to start collecting art for the home. Long after the photographs have been put into albums and hidden away a beautiful piece of art created by some local artist from the visiting region will remain on your wall as a point of interest for conversation in the many years ahead. But where can you buy art? What's the best place? Art for the home can be found absolutely anywhere, from local markets to one of the many cafes in tourist locations that often act as a gallery for a local artist. Some amazing pieces of local art are often found in souvenir shops along your journey. But the two places I mostly like to buy art from are eBay and private collectors. Buying Art From Ebay The great thing about buying art on eBay is that you can usually buy for reasonable prices. This is good for the art investor, because he knows that if he makes a mistake, at least he hasn't risked a huge sum of money. Ebay has become the place to go for good deals so except in rare cases, you get a good deal for you money. In addition, many artists like to sell on eBay - mostly because it's one of the rare places where they can have their work seen by potentially hundreds of people. Artists are mostly desperate to have their work seen and because of this, art collectors can often "steal" works or art from unknown artists before they are discovered. The downside of buying art on eBay is the whole eBay art fraud thing. Some sellers, and no one knows exactly how many, will outright lie about the art they are selling. They'll state that a piece of art is an original even though it isn't. They'll place fake signatures on paintings to make them seem more valuable to the bidders and drive up the bid price. They'll forge paintings or prints and sell them for whatever they can get with the secure knowledge that they won't have to pay a heavy price if they get caught. If you're a novice art buyer, and you're thinking of buying an expensive piece of art, eBay is probably not for you. Private Art Galleries Private galleries are a great place to buy art. But you don't want to buy from just anyone. You want to find out who the best dealers are in your particular art niche. For example, if you are interested in Native American art, you want to find the best dealers in that market. Once you find who they are, you want to begin to develop relationships with them. Doing this will not only help you when you get to the price haggling point, it will also ensure that you're first on their "call list" when they get a new piece of art in. In addition, a good dealer can help guide you in your art acquisitions by giving you their expert and honest opinions on which pieces are most likely to appreciate in value and which artists are likely to become more popular in years to come. Wherever you decide to buy, just make sure that you love the piece you buy regardless of whether it will increase in value or not. That way you will never be disappointed in your purchase. How beautiful! I can’t believe it! How beautiful! I mean, you just can’t drive down the street without knowing this is a church, a house of God! And the lighting! And it faces, what, east, south east, almost like it’s supposed to so the morning sun rises upon the worshippers. Everything is so new—the preschool attached to the church, the huge acreage, the parsonage right across the driveway. How beautiful! A million times more beautiful than the barren scrap of desert that was here in 1998 when Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church got started. How beautiful this church on its day of dedication! But it isn’t the building itself that is so beautiful. Here’s what I mean. Instead of the cross built into the outside of your building with the cross shaped windows, let’s turn it into a Star of David, or instead of having Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church on the sign, let’s put Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ-Silverado Ward in its place. Then this building wouldn’t be so beautiful, would it? A striking bride who loves her groom is a beautiful woman. A striking bride who sleeps with all the men in the wedding party is a tramp. What is here at this corner of Bermuda and Frias which makes Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church beautiful? How Beautiful! 1.The message. 2.The messengers. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Our text for this beautiful day when we dedicate this beautiful church is all about beauty. It is rare for a passage to be used twice in the Bible at climatic junctures. The Apostle Paul, after reviewing the great teachings of Jesus, how all, Jew and Gentile, have sinned and are freely justified by God’s grace, how this forgiveness is applied to us through baptism into Christ and gives a new life to live, the apostle to the Gentiles opens his heart in sorrow over his own people, the Jews, who daily rejected Jesus as Savior. It wasn’t as if they hadn’t heard. They had prophets and priests sent to them by God, beautiful feet bringing good news. Paul lifted that verse from the prophet, Isaiah, who used it in an equally climactic moment. In chapter 52, Isaiah stirs the people of God to rise and meet their Savior, wake up and hear his message, for the watchmen are already calling, those beautiful feet are already bringing the good news to your town! Then he talks about the suffering of Jesus on the cross, stricken, smitten and afflicted. Like I said, it is some Bible passage to be used so successfully in two places in the Bible. It is before us today, I pray, with some of its power intact on the poor, stammering lips of this preacher. “Did I hear that right?” some of you might be thinking--did he say, “beautiful feet?” There’s more than meets the eye, here. I’ll save that for the end. It may just be the best part that makes this beautiful. How beautiful! How beautiful the message! From all the time I spent on Paul and Isaiah’s train of thought, you can see the message is important. The message is what makes this church beautiful. That message, Paul says, is “good news.” You, the members of Beautiful Savior, thought it was good news the day you got word that your building project had received approval from the Mission Board and then the county. You thought it was good news the day you had groundbreaking. You are probably thinking right now this is good news that you are finally in. That news isn’t good enough to be compared to THE GOOD NEWS that Paul is talking about. It is THE GOOD NEWS of the Gospel. The Good News is that God still loves people who daily sin much and deserve only punishment. The Good News is that the Holy Spirit does not flee from the heart which fills itself with garbage—lustful thoughts, hateful words, evil inclinations. The Good News is that the payment for our sins, Jesus’ death on the cross, has not been stopped, like a person angry over home repairs never begun might try to stop payment on the check he gave a con-man contractor as earnest money. The Good News is that God wants us in heaven, not as servants, not as stowaways, but as his dear children gathered around the family table. If we think THE GOOD NEWS isn’t that great a news, well, look at what some other houses of worship are spreading. Some come right out and encourage people to be their own saviors, to make themselves worthy enough for a celestial kingdom or better. Some urge their people to do the right thing by living up to the Law as the way to ennoble their lives. Many don’t even consider life in the hereafter certain enough to talk about! A majority of the Christian churches will talk about faith, but then they add you have to be good, too. Believe and be good. The most deceptive will so vandalize the good news with an emphasis on human decisions, holy living, confidence in man-made teachings, that the you can’t even see the good news for all graffiti they’ve spray-painted over it. It all boils down to sinful human beings wanting to be religious, but not wanting to listen to God in his Word. What makes Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church beautiful is that it displays THE GOOD NEWS in all its beauty. We don’t have to do the impossible, to earn heaven. Jesus earned heaven for us. We don’t have to be good enough for God. God was good enough for us. We don’t cherish the thought that we are going to heaven because of what we are. It’s because of what God is, undeserved, loving forgiveness for all, young and old, for you and me. How beautiful! How beautiful the message! How beautiful the messengers! Here is where it gets interesting. When Paul talks about those beautiful messengers, he is talking about you, the people of Beautiful Savior! You are the beautiful feet bringing the beautiful Good News to this part of God’s creation. “Ach! You got it wrong, Pastor Pieper! That’s Pastor Guse’s job! That’s what we’ve got elders for! They do that preaching and teaching stuff. They do the evangelism visits!” Oh, really! Pastor Guse and your council is footing the bill for this church! The only ones who are going to be here for Sunday morning worship are Pastor Guse and the elders! Gee, if that’s the case, couldn’t you have just run it all out of the garage of that first parsonage near Silverado Ranch and Spencer? See my point? You, the members of Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, have put your shoulders to the work. You have strained and prayed and stretched to make this beautiful day of dedication possible. You have even stolen! You’ve stolen time from your families, time from your rest and relaxation, to hang flyers, make phone calls, move in furniture and I don’t even want to hazard a guess as to what else you’ve done. Every pastor knows that and that is why your willing works of service are so appreciated. Every time you walk into this building, yes, the beautiful feet of Pastor Guse your preacher will lead you, but it will be your beautiful feet bringing you into this church to praise Jesus, to pray to the Father for others, to be moved by the Holy Spirit to serve God here in the organized programs for worship, evangelism and education and out there as you talk up your beautiful church with its beautiful message of a Beautiful Savior to others. Can I give some advice, advice gathered from years of bitter experience? It will be your beautiful feet that will beat the path for others to follow. This past week I had a wonderful lady in our Religious Orientation class. She was sending her daughter to our preschool—and what a treasure you will find your beautiful preschool to be!—and she had actually come to our church last March. She was looking for a place that had a strong ministry to children, but when she looked among the church worshippers, she saw hardly any children! So she went to the Baptist church down the street! Put an extra load on your beautiful feet by bringing your children not only to Sunday School, but also to worship. Your schedule is designed to get adults and children into worship. Yes, it will take extra time. Yes, it will take extra effort. On some Sundays, because it was hard getting the little ones ready, you will look like a train wreck, but don’t let that stop you. If you are going to be a little late, don’t let that stop you. In this church, it ain’t going to be the first time somebody was late and everyone, including the Lord, will be glad you made it. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Why the feet? I guess it is the most humble part of our body. Those feet get calloused and cracked, the toe nails get all goofy looking after a while. Maybe some toes are crooked from the time you kicked the parking meter when you saw a ticket tucked under a wiper blade. And they smell. Oooo-weeee! But it is in the humble acts of service that the Bride of Christ is her most beautiful. It is in the daily, ordinary looking things that you will be doing that you will be most beautiful to the Lord and to the people the Lord has put in your life. The best service those feet can bring is not to run away to Mexico and build some homes for strangers. The best service those feet can render is not to trot around the globe on some vacation pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The best service those feet can offer is not to skip town to sneak into Nepal as a tourist and hand out Bibles. That’s the flash people who are pretending to be Christians display to keep everyone riled up. Those humble feet teach the children their prayers. Those humble feet shake a hand at the church entrance and get to know the new comer. Those humble feet hang door flyers and teach Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. Those humble feet sit at the feet of the Teacher and hear him speak to them through his Holy Word. How Beautiful! 1.The message. 2.The messengers. How beautiful! How beautiful is the head, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! How beautiful are the messengers! How beautiful is the body of Christ!

When most people think of traditional African art, the beautiful and elaborate masks usually come to mind. While the African masks are a large part of the art from this continent they only represent a small part of the widely diverse types of work. Traditional African art varies in its composition, religious or social meaning, and types of materials used from region to region. In addition to being an art form rich in culture and beauty, African art has influenced modern art in a number of important ways. Not only was traditional African art created to express emotion and cultural issues, in some cases it was made to be useful. Craftsmen and artisans often made things of great beauty to be functional as well. It wasnâ€TMt uncommon for an artist to make amazing textile products that often became ceremonial clothing or to be made into sacred pouches for various religious occasions. Artists also worked as tailors and seamstresses, as others specialized in weaving and spinning. Depending on the need and the talent of artistâ€TMs, creating ornamental and functional pottery fell to those who worked with metal, clay, and wood. These African artists in the Diaspora created a division of traditional African art all their own. Masks arenâ€TMt the only art form to be worn in ceremonial practices either. Many African artists were called on to create other types of pieces for ceremonies. Some of the ceremonies in which traditional black African art was worn were harvest, and rain ceremonies, as well as wedding celebrations and New Year festivals. This art took form in breastplates and special jewelry. Most of these objects were made of wood or metal. When not in use, these magnificent works of art were carefully stored and treated with a near religious fervor. Like most societies, those in positions of power were gifted with some of the most spectacular of the traditional African art. An example of this preferential treatment can be seen in Kente cloth. This cloth was woven specifically for the political leaders of the Ashanti state. The cloth was always brightly colored and had gold thread interwoven into the pattern. In other regions, court artists were commissioned to create sculpture of wood, metal, or clay to pay homage to the royal family and important officials. Today these works are useful in learning more about ancient African culture before colonization took place. It would be difficult to overlook the masks that came from Africa. The exaggerated eyes and facial expressions of these masks are known throughout the world. This form of traditional African art work was created with feathers and other small items of cultural significance. The construction was usually bronze, wood, or other metals. Traditional African art is one of the most influential and copied art forms. It has captured the imagination and admiration of modern artists for generations. It teaches of a culture long gone, of traditions forgotten, and proves that ancient Africans had a vital, civilized society before Europeans colonized its shores. Traditional African art is an amazing example of well-made, meaningful artwork. “Art” means different things to various people. It's been an enigma! Since the age of twelve I wanted to be an "artist". Over the years I had become involved with numerous "art" endeavors: drawings, sculptures, paintings in various media, architectural design, photography, writing, and ceramics. I've even been fortunate to have "art" jobs: art and photography teacher, freelance artist, supervisor of a graphic art department, museum exhibits designer and builder, and art director. In all those experiences and even through educational training beyond the master's degree I could not find a comprehensive definition of..."art". After all, I was an "artist"; but, how could I make claim to this intriguing group with out really knowing what "art" was? In the early 1990's, I participated in the Improving Visual Art Education Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, which was sponsored by the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Getty Center for the Arts. The conference basically centered around the concept of "Discipline Based Art Education". In this realm arts education is believed to have four basic tenants that should be covered in pedagogy and help give credence to spending constrained budgets on having "arts" in the public school curriculum. These four areas are: history, theory/criticism, aesthetics, and production. It was from this conference that I came up with the design for the MIA PATCH Lesson Plan for the Arts since there was no lesson plan format that I new of that really fit the "arts" education arena. One of the speakers, and I forget her name, was an aesthetics professor from the University of Minnesota. She came the closest to a definition of art that I could agree with, except, for her, art had to have a concrete artifact, an art "object", something tangible to be reviewed through time. But, as many "artists" know, sometimes an artistic creation is designed to be fugitive, non-tangible through time, it must disappear to fulfill its aesthetic intent. While out jogging one afternoon at the conference it came to me, an epiphany; "There is a simple, comprehensive definition of "art", it's an acronym for itself". The Aesthetic Rendering of Thought. In order for Art to exist, the following three (3) criteria must be met. First of all, there must be some sensory manifestation (Rendering), fugitive or permanent, that is based upon a creative, intellectual process (Thought) with the intention of a beautiful or pleasurable (Aesthetic or Anti-aesthetic) action, or reaction, in one or more of the senses and/or psyche. Encircled within this definition are more than the traditional concepts of "art": painting, sculpture, ceramics, writing, architecture, drama, music, dance, and photography. It's now easier to understand why cooking can be included as an "art" and more than just a craft. Please do not confuse "craft" with "art". Art objects are original creations, one of a kind. Craft, on the other hand, is the fastidious copying, reproduction, of an art object.

Like the toothache in the throes of pain I simmer by lamp in the half-moon night. There is nothing in me to burn for the sake of flickering light. Life has run out of laughter. How long to ignore and how long to hide the stink of graveyard of unburied dolls. Death is not the full stop. Many women pride themselves on having beautiful legs. Over time, life can takes its toll on your legs, especially with the hormonal changes of pregnancy or menopause Cosmetic surgery offers you many ways to get your legs back and feel like yourself again, or to have the beautiful legs you’ve always wanted. Varicose Veins The veins in your legs have little valves that keep the blood from running backward. Over time these valves can get weak, letting blood pool up, and causing visible veins. Sun exposure, working on your feet all day, and pregnancy can all accelerate the process. Whether you have tiny spider veins just starting to appear or have already developed large, painful veins, there is a solution that’s right for you. Sclerotherapy and laser therapy are non-surgical options which remove spider veins entirely. Sclerotherapy uses saline solution, injected into the veins, to start the process. Laser therapy uses intense light which targets only the vein and bypasses the skin entirely. The both cause the veins to be broken down and absorbed by your body. Vein ablation closes off the enlarged veins using a catheter and laser or radiofrequency energy. Varicose veins can be surgically removed with ambulatory phlebectomy which is a minor surgery to remove small varicose veins, or vein stripping, which is a more serious surgery in which the veins are tied off and removed. Thick, dark hair Shaving is always an option, but if you have thick, dark leg hair, it may not be enough. No one wants a five o’clock shadow on their legs! If you’re prone to razor burn, you find yourself choosing between the hairy look or a red, unsightly rash that burns and itches. Now you can throw those razors away for good. Laser hair removal can get rid of unwanted leg hair forever. No more shaving, waxing, or creams. While you’re at it, laser hair removal can get rid of unwanted hair in other places including your face, bikini line, and armpits. Stubborn fat Nothing beats exercise for keeping your legs toned and shapely, but even if you’re in great shape and at your ideal weight, you may have pockets of fat that just don’t respond to diet or exercise. Liposuction and LipoSelection can remove those unwanted areas of fat, giving you legs the contour you have always wanted, and restoring balance to your overall body shape. LipoSelection is a new type of liposuction which is very precise, and has a shorter healing time than liposuction. Liposuction is still a very popular way to get rid of larger areas of fat. Saggy legs Over the years your skin loses it elasticity. This can mean saggy looking legs, even if the muscles underneath are well toned. Losing large amounts of weight can leave behind excess skin, taking away from your beautiful new look. A thigh lift removes this excess skin bringing back your youthful contours. A thigh lift can be performed at the same time as liposuction, or by itself.

Nail Art Nail art is the most versatile and latest fashion statement today. As many other art forms, nail art also requires wild imaginations and creativity. This wild imagination and creativity gives way to plethora of unique and enduring designs and patterns. Since mankind, women have been decorating themselves with various different ornaments, dresses or painting their nails with henna or juices of barks of trees. With the passage of time and changing scenario of fashion more and more forms of nail decorations came into limelight and since then women are enjoying experimenting their nails. It’s truly been said that beautiful and well-groomed nails reflect one’s inner personality and mood. People have now become possessive and concern about their nail appearance. Nail decoration has an age old history, traced back to 3000 B.C. This period witnesses the first nail polish that was originated in China. Various other ingredients like gum Arabic, gelatin and bees wax were used to create varnishes and lacquers for nail paints. Further with the advances in science and technology, many other forms of nail art with added quality, finish and beautiful colors came into existence. The modern age has given way to various nail products to make nails rocking, beautiful and colorful. An array of nail paints with sleek, flashy and trendy shades and a variety of textures and embellishments are flooding the Indian markets today. The Indian fashion market with various artistic, creative and innovative nail accessories has carved a niche n the platform of cosmetology. The available nail accessories range from simple dots, geometric patterns, funky stickers, tattoos, abstracts, to stencil art, French manicure, portraits, swarovskis and endless other options. Using multitude of designs and patterns, one can jazz up their outfit and add spice to their look. There are many recognized nail technicians who produce the most attractive and glamorous nail designs ranging from nail polish and acrylic nail art to French manicure and toe nail art. Many people also use assorted nail decorations to add glamour and extra appeal to the nails. These include colored acrylic, glitter nails, gels, airbrushed, 3d nails, water marbling, nail stickers, nail jewelry, crushed shells, stencils and rhinestones. There are multitudes of nail accessories. The most popular among them are as follows: • Nail Stripes: To apply these strips gently peel off and lay the stripe across the nail. • Stars and Dots: These attractive and beautiful accessories are available in the form of nail stickers or nail polish. • Nail Stickers: To apply one just needs to remove the sticker and place it securely on the nails. • Water Marbling: This is one of the most demanding arts among today’s women.
