Maiden of Virtue is the third boss in Karazhan and is an optional boss; you do not need to kill her to progress further into Karazhan. This essay will discuss how to defeat her.
For those that have never been to Karazhan, the instance is located at the southern end of Deadwind Pass. This zone sits between Duskwood and Swamp of Sorrows. When you enter Deadwind Pass from Duskwood, take your first right and follow the road south until you reach Karazhan. If you are entering from the Swamp of Sorrows side, you will need to make your first left and follow the road south until you reach Karazhan.
Maiden of Virtue has four abilities worth noting:
Holy Ground - She will continuously cast AOE waves that will spread out from her throughout the entire fight. These waves do minimal damage to their targets. However, if you get hit by them, they will silence you for approximately two seconds. For this reason, your tank should keep her in the middle of the dark gray area. The rest of the raid members should stand directly on top of either of the two dark gray steps leading up to the center area and they will easily avoid getting hit by this constant AOE.
Holy Fire - Random DOT that inflicts around 3,000 points of damage initially and an additional 2,000 every 2 seconds. This must be dispelled immediately. Holy Fire is the most dangerous of her abilities and needs to be removed as quickly as possible. For this reason, it's usually best to assign one full-time healer to remove this DOT.
Holy Wrath - AOE, instant-cast chain spell. The damage from this spell increases with each target that it jumps to. Everyone must stay clear of Maiden except your tank for the duration of the encounter. It is advisable not to have any melee DPS for this fight; all-ranged players is the easiest way to defeat her.
Repentance - Stuns all players for 10-12 seconds or until they take damage. When she casts Repentance, she will stun the entire raid. Since your tank will take almost immediate damage from Holy Ground, your tank will break free from Repentance and can resume tanking.
Primary roles:
Paladin - full time removal of Holy Fire. This DOT must be removed from party members as quickly as possible as it does a lot of damage. Your paladin should also keep Blessing of Sacrifice on the main tank at all times. When Maiden casts Repentance, your paladin will take damage along with your tank (from Blessing of Sacrifice) and they will both break from the stun. The paladin then assumes the role of primary healer for your tank while the rest of the party waits for the Repentance stun to wear off. If your paladin fails to break free from repentance, he or she must bubble and heal the main tank. You can only do this once, of course, so Blessing of Sacrifice must be kept on the tank at all times. Without Blessing of Sacrifice, she is extremely difficult to defeat.
Priests/Druids - must keep HOTS on the main tank at all times along with healing the rest of the party throughout the fight. Additionally, priests should create a one-click macro to target maiden and cast PAIN onto her (this extra DOT will help with the overall damage done to her).
To start the fight, everyone should spread-out around her. Be careful not to aggro her while you are getting into position! One of your priests should stand directly opposite the tank; this healer will be responsible for healing your main tank while everyone else moves in close to her. Prior to your tank charging in, your other healers should cast HOTS onto him or her.
Your tank should charge straight to the center of the area and tank her there. The rest of the party should form a circle around her and stand directly on top of the dark gray steps leading up to her. The first step is usually close enough to allow your paladin to remove Holy Fire from everyone without having "out-of-range" issues.
Keep HOTS on your tank, keep blessing of sacrifice up at all times, remember to stand on the dark gray, and keep your paladin alive! Follow these suggested tips and you should kill Maiden of Virtue within a few attempts.

Title: World of Warcraft Karazhan Walkthrough: Maiden of Virtue Guide
If you're looking for a World of Warcraft Karazhan walkthrough and guide, then you've found the best on the net. Once your raid has slain Moroes, leave The Banquet Hall and walk back out to The Grand Ballroom. Kill any trash that might be in your way by now then make your way through the doorway to the left. The raid will find itself in The Guest Chambers. This is where the Maiden of Virtue lies. There are a couple groups of trash in the hallway that need to be cleared first, but don't fret - it isn't that hard. Use shackles on the undead and a warlock can enslave the concubines. With a good tank, a warlock, and a priest the trash is a cakewalk. Ideal Group Compisition: 1 Main Tank (needs to be crit immune) 3 Healers (1 holy paladin immensely useful) 6 DPS (1 warlock, 1 priest helps a lot with trash) This fight is quite intensive on healers and DPS because everyone in the raid takes damage this fight. The most common causes of death are Holy Fire and Holy Wrath. I recommend that the raid have no more than 2-3 melee DPS, not counting the tank. Only one tank is required for Maiden. Many Karazhan raids bring a druid offtank which is convenient for this fight as they can simply DPS in cat form, rather than switch someone out. Clear the entire hallway. There aren't that many pulls, and there is also no need to kill the mobs in the rooms to the side (though it is wise to stick to the right so that you don't aggro them). One of the side rooms contain a book for one of the Karazhan quests, we usually tell people that they need to come back the next day on their own when all the trash will be clear. This happens after the boss linked to that trash is dead. Buff up, use consumables, then all ranged DPS and healers need to spread out around Maiden, positioning themselves between the pillars around her. All DPS needs to have bandages or be able to heal themselves in addition to health potions. The main tank will go in and tank Maiden where she stands once everyone is ready. Blessing of Sacrifice must be used by a holy paladin and spammed on the main tank the whole fight. This is because Maiden casts a spell called Repentance that stuns the raid for 12 seconds, however it also breaks if any damage is done to the target. In order to have a healer up during this period so that the tanks don't die, the Blessing of Sacrifice is necessary so that when Holy Ground (an AoE that hits melee and the tank) ticks, the paladin's stun will break. If your raid is without a holy paladin, resto druid heal over time spells kept on the main tank can suffice to get him through Repentance. All of the melee DPS should be able and ready to back out of the AoE and bandage and not always expect heals. Maiden has two other important spells she casts - Holy Fire and Holy Wrath. Holy Wrath is a single target damage spell that chains off to nearby members, doing successively more damage. Luckily, this ability doesn't affect pets. By staying spread out this can be avoided almost entirely. Holy Fire does direct damage to a single target, then leaves a damage over time debuff on them that deals around 10k damage over 12 seconds. The best way to deal with this is to have a paladin or priest on their toes to dispel it. Mages, paladins, rogues and dwarves may use ice block, shield, cloak of shadows or stoneform to remove it as well. Having a shaman in your raid drop grounding totems helps by eating some of the Holy Fires as well. Maiden is only a single phase fight, and hopefully you shouldn't run into too much trouble. If you do, then here are a few helpful pieces of advice: If melee are dying, Holy Protection Potions can almost completely negate the effects of the AoE Healers need to cross heal the raid. Make sure that healers have raid frames for the entire raid pulled out. The entire raid must be kept topped off at full health. Do not use Amplify Magic, it will greatly boost Maiden's damage. Dampen Magic can reduce the amount of the AoE to less than 200 when put on melee DPS. It is probably best to not use it on the tank, however. Finish off Maiden, loot her, and enjoy your new epics! Have faith, keep checking guides and stay up on strategy, and soon enough you'll be clearing Karazhan in a single night!

Title: World of Warcraft Karazhan Guide Part 2: Moroes Walkthrough
If you're looking for a World of Warcraft Karazhan guide and walkthrough for Moroes, then you've found the best on the internet. After killing Attumen the Huntsman, go back to the entrance of Karazhan where you will find a stairway. It is crucial for this battle that all DPS and tanks have threatmeters like Omen. The trash requires some AoE and Moroes requires shackles and at least one interrupt, so I will go over the group composition. Optimal Group Composition: 2 Tanks (crit immune) 3 Healers (2 priests needed between healers and DPS for shackles) 5 DPS (1-2 decent AoE mage/warlocks needed for trash) The group should be geared decently in level 70 blues and maybe a few epics. That's all you really need up to this point. Begin by pulling the trash in the room at the top of the steps. There are a few AoE packs here, they're easy packs of non-elites that shouldn't be too difficult unless you inadvertantly pull multiple groups. Also keep in mind that there are a few groups of elites here that do not need to be killed. I've pulled them accidentally thinking that they are AoE packs and wiped raids, don't be stupid like me. There are also a few single pull mobs in the room that can hit very hard, particularly the valets, so use caution and make sure to heal your tanks. Once enough of the room is cleared to go into the room to the left, do so. This is the room where you can find Moroes, but there is still plenty of trash left to kill. There are a couple 2-pulls up against the wall on either side of the room, each of these guys hit like a truck and needs a tank. There are AoE packs at the dining tables that need to be AoE'd the same as you did with the earlier packs. There are also a few Skeletal Waiters meandering around. These guys use debuff on your tank called Brittle Bones that will cause their armor to decrease significantly. When a tank has this debuff on him, the other tank needs to tank whichever mobs the raid is on until the debuff wears off, as it can't be dispelled. When the room is clear, you're left with Moroes and four adds. These adds are why you need the two priests for shackles. Both priests should ideally have a focus macro set up like this: /clearfocus [modifier:shift] [target=focus, dead] [target=focus, noexists] /focus [target=focus, noexists] /script SetRaidTarget("focus", 1) /cast [target=focus] Shackle Undead With this, you just need to target your shackle and shackle it once, then the macro will automatically re-target and shackle whenever you click it. This way the priests don't need to constantly switch targets to keep their shackles up. You will need to kill 2 of the adds and shackle 2 of them. The 4 adds are random out of 6 different possibilities. The ones at the top of the list should be killed first, the ones at the bottom are the best to shackle: Baroness Dorthea Millstipe (Shadow Priest) Lady Catriona Von'Indi (Holy Priest) Lady Keira Berrybuck (Holy Paladin) Baron Rafe Dreuger (Retribution Paladin) Lord Robin Daris (Arms Warrior) Lord Crispin Ference (Protection Warrior) The worst case situation would be to get the 2 warriors and the 2 paladins, though I have never had that happen. If you get either the holy priest or the holy paladin and aren't shackling them then you need to have a rogue on them in order to interrupt the heals (other classes with interrupts work as well). Have your main tank go in and grab Moroes, then pull him to one side of the room. The mobs to be shackled should be shackled right away and kept shackled the entire. The offtank needs to tank whichever of the adds he is assigned to tank (whichever plate wearer that isn't being shackled, or the second add that you are going to kill). He brings the add over to the main tank and must immediately start attacking Moroes get up to second in threat on the boss and remain there while still tanking his add. After you get the adds down, it's time to focus on Moroes. Moroes uses a couple of rogue abilities. He vanishes every minute or so and Garrotes a random raid member. This is a strong bleed effect. It can be removed by paladin shields, stoneform and ice block, but that's it. You just need to heal through this bleed. Sometimes if a healer gets it on them it may be useful for them to intentionally die and get battle rezzed, or intentionally die with a soulstone on them, as death also gets rid of the effect. Moroes also uses both Blind and Gouge against the tanks. This is why you need 2 tanks on Moroes, as he will use Gouge on the main tank and then attack whoever is second on aggro. Very rarely, he will Blind the offtank and then Gouge the main tank, then run off wreaking havoc. That's just bad luck and you can't do much about it about it other than dispel the blind as quickly as possible. If you kill the 2 adds and keep the other 2 shackled then there's no reason you shouldn't be able to kill Moroes. Have your DPS hack away Moroes and once he dies, destroy the shackled adds one at a time (they don't despawn). After that, loot Moroes and enjoy all your shiny new epics.

Title: World of Warcraft Karazhan Walkthrough Part 1: Attumen the Huntsman
If you're looking for a World of Warcraft Karazhan walkthrough for Attumen the Huntsman then you've found the best on the net. Go into Karazhan through the front door and go to the left. Kill the undead and horses. In the stables at the end sits the undead horse Midnight. This is the first boss of Karazhan. Don't fret it, he's pretty easy, mostly a gear check. Optimal Group Composition: 1 Warrior Tank (any epic'd tank is fine, too) 1 Offtank Tank (warrior, druid or paladin works) 3 Healers (doesn't matter) 5 DPS (doesn't matter) Most of the raid should have level 70 blues if not a few crafted and PvP epics. A few greens are alright here and there, but don't let the guy in level 65 quest greens come. Have your offtank to go in to tank Midnight. He should be tanked in the middle of the stables, and when the tank has sufficient aggro, DPS starts on the horse. When you beat Midnight down to 95%, his master Attumen will spawn. The main tank should grab Attumen as he spawns and tank him next to Midnight. A timely misdirect is useful here, if you have a good hunter in the raid. The Attumen tank should spam Disarm and Spell Reflection on Attumen to lower his DPS and reflect the curse Attumen casts. Druids and mages need to dispel this curse when they can. Melee classes need to avoid the front of Attumen because he uses a nasty Shadow Cleave. DPS down Midnight until he gets to 25%, then Attumen will mount up. Aggro wipes when he transitions, so all DPS needs to halt for the main tank to pick up Attumen. He'll start using a charge ability, but he won't charge people who are closer than 8 yards away, so everyone needs to group up behind Attumen and right next to him, which both avoids his charge and nerfs his cleave. Once the main tank has good aggro on Attumen, start DPS again as normal until he drops dead. Congratulations, you've beaten your first boss in Karazhan! If your raid is having trouble with Attumen the Huntsman, then you are having aggro problems and your DPS is dying when he switches, your tanks are dropping because they need better gear (tanks must have appropriate defense to be crit immune), or your tanks are dying because your healers are running out of mana. Make sure the raid has mana potions, health potions, and good buff foods. Also make sure that everyone has threatmeters installed and working and make them watch it! Title: How To Kill Murmur - The Final Boss In Shadow Labyrinth - World Of Warcraft
This essay will explain how to kill Murmur; the final boss in Shadow Labyrinth. If you follow the strategy described below, you will find him to be a fairly easy encounter. For those that are just working on Karazhan attunement, you do not need to kill Murmur to acquire the quest item. Simply move left along the wall and you will be able to reach the fragment without having to engage Murmur. Make sure that all party members are nearby before you summon the elite. If a player is too far away, they will not be able to loot the quest item and that can be extremely frustrating as that player will have to complete the entire instance again. Prior to engaging Murmur, everyone should know this boss’s special abilities. They are as follows: Sonic Boom. This is an AOE attack that takes a few seconds for him to cast. If you have “view targets spell casting bar” turned on in your interface settings, you will see when he begins to cast this spell and that should allow you enough time to move away from him and avoid taking damage. If you get hit with Sonic Boom, it will do damage equal to approx. 75% of your maximum health and will reduce your movement speed by 90%. Touch of Murmur. This is a debuff that is placed on a single, random party member. After ten seconds, it will explode and launch the affected player into the air. Everyone within the blast radius will be silenced for a few seconds along with taking approx. 4,000 points of damage. Touch of Murmur is unavoidable. It’s best to either have the affected player immediately move away from the party or simply position everyone so they won’t effect any other player if they happen to get the debuff. Resonance. Murmur will cast resonance if you fail to keep at least one player within melee range. If he casts resonance, it’s a wipe. The debuff does nature damage and increases nature damage taken. Party positioning Your healer should stand alone, and be positioned to either the left or to the right of Murmur. The tank will stand directly in front of Murmur. Ranged DPS should position themselves on the opposite side of your Healer. Melee DPS should stand behind Murmur throughout the fight. It’s very important that the area directly in front of Murmur be left open. Only your tank should be standing there, and nobody should be standing behind the tank. The reasoning behind these positions will become clear in a moment. Step by Step for engaging Murmur 1. Your tank engages Murmur where he stands. By the way, Murmur is fixed in position. He will not move throughout the entire fight. 2. The moment your tank engages Murmur, the rest of the party should begin DPS. You do not need to wait for aggro to be established. 3. When Murmur begins to cast Sonic Boom, your melee DPS (who is positioned directly behind Murmur), should run straight forward and try their best to avoid getting hit by it. Your tank should not move and will need to be healed through each Sonic Boom. 4. Depending on your player class, when you get Touch of Murmur, do the following: If your tank gets Touch of Murmur, he should not move. Your healer should heal your tank through it. However, all other melee DPS will need to run straight forward to the area in front of Murmur and get away from the Tank to avoid taking damage. If your healer gets Touch of Murmur, she should just keep healing the tank and stay right where she is standing. If your healer is properly positioned by herself, it should not affect other party members. She will need to heal herself after the explosion. If ranged DPS gets Touch of Murmur, they need to keep shooting/spell casting. They must keep their DPS maxed at all times. Do not run, it won’t do any good. It’s more important that you continue to DPS. After the explosion, they will need to bandage and/or take health potions. If they are properly positioned, they should not harm anyone else. If melee DPS gets Touch of Murmur, they need to immediately run forward to the clear area in front of Murmur. If they are not fast enough, they will wipe your party by killing the tank. If you follow the above strategy, Murmur is a very easy kill. The less melee DPS you have in the party, the easier he gets because nobody has to move when they get Touch of Murmur, and the overall DPS will be constant throughout the fight.

Title: How To Kill Watchkeeper Gargolmar - The First Boss in Hellfire Ramparts - World of Warcraft
This essay will explain how to kill Watchkeeper Gargolmar; the first boss in Hellfire Ramparts. Gargolmar patrols the road with two Watchers and is a fairly easy encounter as long as you kill or CC the Watchers. Prior to engaging this boss, it is recommended that you thoroughly clear the area of all trash mobs. There are only two things that you should be concerned with while fighting Gargolmar: Watchkeepers – These two will heal Gargolmar. It is imperative that you either kill them first or keep them CC’d throughout the fight. Knockback – Watchkeeper Gargolmar will charge and knockback the player who is furthest from him. All cloth wearers should move close to Gargolmar to avoid getting charged. The best option is to have a mail or plate wearing party member stay at max range from Gargolmar. This player will get charged multiple times throughout the fight. The recommended strategy is as follows: Your tank should pull Gargolmar and stay on him throughout the fight. You should CC (crowd control) one Watcher by sheeping, sapping, ice trapping, etc. While your tank gains aggro on Gargolmar, the rest of the party should kill the remaining Watcher. After that Watcher is dead, the entire party should then DPS Gargolmar to zero. You will have to keep the remaining Watcher crowd controlled throughout the fight. After Gargolmar is dead, you will need to kill the remaining Watcher. The key to winning this fight is crowd controlling the Watchers, or simply killing them first. Good luck!

Title: World of Warcraft Karazhan Raid Guide: The Curator
If you're looking for a Karazhan Guide and Walkthrough for The Curator, then this is where it's at. The Curator is the first of two bosses in Karazhan that drop T4 gear. He is not an optional boss.. He can give raids a bit of trouble, but remember that practice makes perfect. Ideal Group Composition: 1 Main Tank 3 Healers 6 Good DPS Most of your raid will probably be in at least 5-6 epics if not more before you can consistently kill The Curator. Your DPS needs to be strong as you need to be able to kill the Arcane Flares he summons within 10 seconds or you will get overwhelmed by them. NOTE: Be extremely careful when you first go in to The Curator's hall because he has a very large aggro radius. The positioning for this fight is fairly straightforward. Line up all your ranged DPS and healers against the wall in The Curator's room. They should all be spread apart roughly in a semi-circle. The tank will then pull the Curator about 30 yards away from the ranged DPS in the middle of the hall. For most of the fight The Curator summons Astral Flares to attack the raid at a rate of one every 10 seconds. All DPS needs to attack these for most of the fight. Whenever there is a flare, DPS needs to be attacking the flare. Periodically, The Curator will turn blue and use Evocation to restore his mana. While he is blue he doesn't attack anyone and takes 200% damage. He does this for 20 seconds, then goes back to shooting Astral Flares again. When he is Evocating is when your DPS will attack him. DPS must also remember to stay on Astral Flares until the last one is dead, even when he Evocates. For this reason we usually just assign two specific DPS to take care of the last Flare when he Evocates, this way the rest of the DPS is free to switch over immediately. He goes back and forth between shooting Astral Flares and Evocating for nearly the whole fight. You just need to continue killing Flares and then attacking him when he's Evocating until he gets down to 15%. Before that, though... The Curator also uses something called Hateful Bolt, which does 5-6k arcane damage to whoever is second on threat. For this reason, we usually have one DPS member with a lot of health stay second in threat and just eat the Hateful Bolts. You can also use an off-tank instead, though we found this slowed our DPS down too much in this DPS race. He enrages and will kill the raid after 10 minutes so DPS is very important in this fight. Once you get him to 15%, the Curator hits harder, stops Evocating and stops shooting Astral Flares. At this point, all there is left to do is DPS him down. Pop cooldowns and keep all heals on the main tank and Hateful Bolt tank. Once you get him down to 15%, you should be able to kill him unless you hit the enrage timer. If you are having problems with The Curator, remember that most of the problems you have with him can only be solved by leaving and coming back with better gear, better raid specs, better consumables or some combination of the three. The Curator was the first boss in Karazhan that most of our raid needed to use flasks before we were able to down him. Bad DPS cannot and should not be tolerated - while Subtlety rogues may be fine in 5-mans, they're horrible raid DPS for example. Of course, you could always go PvP for a day or two and come back with a few extra epics, it can make a world of difference.
