Dog training methods differ from one trainer to another, but they are all intended to produce results. Expert professionals for example, use dog training methods so these wonderful animals will not make messes in the home. They also use their dog training methods so a dog will learn to obey their owners. Different methods are used for different kinds of training, for example to stop a dog from being aggressive, or to stop a dog from barking when they shouldn’t. Some dogs get in the habit of just barking for no reason, but dog training methods will make sure that a dog knows this is not appropriate behavior. Dog training methods should provide each owner with a dog that behaves properly in all circumstances, especially the ones important to their owners.

One dog training method commonly used, is to provide treats when the dog demonstrates acceptable behavior. This signals to the dog that the trainer approves of the behavior. If a dog is supposed to sit, the trainer will make this command. If the dog sits on the command, the trainer gives the dog some kind of a treat. If the dog does not sit, the trainer often repeats the command and provides some guidance to the dog. When the dog eventually follows the command, the trainer gives the dog a treat to reinforce this good behavior.

Some Dog Training Methods Have Different Tools

Some dog training methods use some specific tools to help the dog demonstrate appropriate behavior. The clicker method is a very interesting method that some trainers believe in wholeheartedly. This dog training method uses only positive reinforcement of good behavior and never any punishment for bad behavior. Owners can use this method at home once the technique is learned, and a clicker can be found at most pet shops.

Many expert trainers of marine animals such as whales use this method. The trainer makes the click when the dog does something right and then gives the dog a treat. The dog comes to associate the clicker with a treat and tries to repeat the good behavior to hear the click again along with a treat.

Some trainers use negative reinforcement to train their dogs, but many people think that this method is not very effective because the dog will only behave properly if the trainer is present. This means that a dog may learn to stop chewing on the couch if the trainer is present, but if the trainer is not present, the dog will chew on the couch. Many dog trainers avoid this type of training because they believe that this is not very helpful for the dog or the owner. However, you’ll need to make sure and create a list of questions important to you when looking for a dog trainer, to ensure you choose the right fit. Roland Parris Jefferson III conducts his research out of Santa Monica, California. You'll find much more information on dog training by visiting my Police Dog Training Resource.

Got Lots Of Time - But No Money - Free Marketing Methods That Produce Real Leads

Melanie Milletics Milletics 2007-06-13
Title: Got Lots Of Time - But No Money - Free Marketing Methods That Produce Real Leads

There is a fallacy circling the net. It's that free methods of advertising don’t produce significant results. I have disproved the fallacy that free advertising doesn’t work, and continue to prove it wrong month after month. I use the methods discussed here to produce high quality leads with an excellent conversion rate.

The key is consistency. Time is money, and if you don’t have the money to market- then you’d better have TIME. If you’ve got 1 hour per day/night, SO BE IT. But make that one hour the most productive it can be. You will have to start somewhere- just START. Start marketing, and if one method/place you put your ads works to get you opt-in leads, then do it over, and over again. Some of those leads will turn into buyers. It’s all about numbers. Even if only 1 person opts in per day- eventually that will mean money in your pocket. You are doing something right- CELEBRATE! And then do that something again, over and over again. The fact is, you will have to do a lot of repetitive free posting and such until you are making the money to place paid ads. Don’t whine about it, just DO IT.

The only way you can fail is if you QUIT. Don’t use your lack of funds as an excuse for your failure. Free methods of advertising DO work.

Free Method #1, The Signature File

First, let me describe a method that will produce a steady stream of free visitors to your site. It is a simple, free method that requires just a few seconds to set up. It is called a signature file. If you are not already using a sig file, start right now. A sig file looks something like this:

==========================================

Wishing You Life's Best,

Your Name

http://www.YourWebsiteUrl.com
Tired of Tiny Checks? This Secret is Your Solution!

==========================================

You should have your signature file on every piece of you send. You can even use a "bounce back" email to expose your sig file to people who send you emails on their opportunity. You can simply thank them for the info they sent -- and hit send.

Free Method #2, Ezine Advertising

eZine ads are powerful, provided you are using targeted ezines and have good ad copy. There are many, many ezines that you can place your free ads in. The key here is repetition. Place that free ad week in and week out. You will get traffic.

Free Method #3, Networking Sites

Sites like Ryze, and even My Space, are gathering places for people who work a home based business. By going into these sites and introducing yourself and leaving them with your sig file link, you will be targeting exactly the people you want to work with.

Free Method #4 Forum Posting

Forum posting is a wonderful and enjoyable way to get highly targeted traffic. When you make yourself a valuable contributor to a forum (message board), you will have a steady stream of people clicking on your signature file. It is very important that you do not 'spam' the boards with your offer. People will see through it and you will not get the desired response. Instead, find a topic that you are knowledgeable about and start answering questions. If there isn't already a topic that suits you - start your own thread. Just post away, with meaningful content, and your link in your sig file will produce highly targeted traffic. People will want to work with YOU.

Believe me; it is well worth it to spend a couple of hours marketing every evening for a month or two to achieve the income that you deserve. If you have time, but no money, then become a master of free advertising – it’s a temporary, but necessary course of action if you want to get your business off of the ground!

Using Reward Training for Your Mastiff Dog

Sam Daniels 2008-04-16
Title: Using Reward Training for Your Mastiff Dog
One of the oldest methods of training dogs is probably reward training. Most likely it is the method that most people are familiar with. It is a natural instinct of ours to reward good behavior, whether it is people or pets. You are certainly assured of successfully training your Mastiff dog with reward training as this breed is inclined to want to please their owners. Pleasing their masters brings Mastiffs joy.

Often reward training is used in conjunction with other methods of training such as leash and collar training or clicker training, to get the best out of their dog in the least amount time. Your decision of which methods to use might depend on what method you see working the best with your dog.

Positive reinforcement usually is the best method to use when training your Mastiff dog. Reward training has increased remarkably in popularity over recent years. Puppies respond to reward training quite easily. It is never acceptable to be cruel or hit your dog because he does not obey a command. Punishment such as this only confuses your puppy and breeds fear rather than respect for you, his master. Mastiffs are especially sensitive to this kind of treatment. They live to please their owner and love to spend time with their family. It would be a shame to ruin the wonderful bond you could create with your pet during training due to treating him with brutality.

Generally reward training works like this; as you are teaching your Mastiff dog commands such as sit or stay, you give him a special treat when he performs the act you are requiring. Praise him highly for his obedience. Keep your training sessions to about ten minutes each, but repeat several times a day.

As your Mastiff dog learns the command, and Mastiffs are quick studies, do not always reward with a treat, but ALWAYS praise. Your pet will learn to obey the commands out of love and respect and in the hopes of receiving a treat.

There are certainly some advanced techniques that are taught in dog training manuals that you can purchase and use in training your Mastiff. However, if you would rather train your pet yourself then reward training is very effective. Remember, that besides teaching your Mastiff dog to obey commands you are also building a relationship with your pet that can last a life time.

Potty Training a Dog: Methods to the Madness! Part 2 of 2

Bryan Miller 2008-02-03
Title: Potty Training a Dog: Methods to the Madness! Part 2 of 2

Potty training a dog isn't always about the methods of training a dog how to go outside, or use the bathroom on a pad, or even about the mentality behind potty training your pup. However, the "how's" of potty training are very important. What I mean by this is that the methods are not the complete whole in training, but they're extremely important.

In the previous part of this article series, the mentality behind potty training your dog was discussed. I presented to you three very key elements in your housebreaking efforts and they were 1) a Good Attitude, 2) a Calm Demeanor, and 3) Diligence. However, this is not the complete picture.

Potty training a dog actually does have some methodology to it. One can have a great attitude and calm demeanor and diligently train a dog poorly! That's why you must have the proper technique. There's no way for me to know your dog's exact breed to tell you the "perfect" potty training technique for that specific breed, but here are generally three of the best ways of housebreaking your dog:

  • Using a Crate
  • Hand Cuffing the Dog To you
  • Using Puppy Pads
  • Set Up Boundaries

Using a Crate:
"Crate Training" must be taken into consideration. I will not go into detail about how to train your dog to stay inside his or her crate without whining, but I will just say that it takes a good attitude, a calm demeanor, and diligence.

Using a crate is one of the most popular, and potentially the most helpful way to get your dog potty trained. How this works is that you put your puppy dog in the crate when you can't supervise them on a constant basis. Periodically you'll take your dog out and when it uses the bathroom, praise him or her liberally.

"Hand Cuffing" the dog to you:
This training technique magic technique other than the magic of tight supervision. Place a leash on your dog, and tether it to you by wrapping the leash around your own wrist or foot. This will allow you to know when/if your pooch needs to use the bathroom, and will allow you to take your puppy out more frequently, and allow you to have control over when your dog gets to use the potty.

Using Puppy Pads:
Using puppy pads in potty training a dog requires a lot of praising and discipline. Make sure that the dog knows that his or her place to potty is on the pad. When your dog becomes comfortable with this, all you have to do (if you wish for your dog to use the bathroom outside) is then begin moving the pad toward the outside, or designated potty area.

Setting up boundaries:
Set up boundaries around your house is fairly easy with some of today's products that are on the line. Although this isn't directly related to potty training a dog, this is extremely valuable if there is a definite area of your house you wish for them to stay away from.

Using every day products such as cleaning ammonia, cayanne pepper, or certain odors that get aon your dogs nerves, you can set up scent-driven boundaries that will help you train your dog to "stay away." Also, there is a technique of using tape (upside down) that will catch onto their paws. This scares them out of whatever room they were entering.

Using these techniques are very useful in setting up effective potty training for your dog. Make sure you're diligent and patient with your dog so that you can build a tight, and trusting relationship between you and your pooch. And don't give up!

Your dog's happiness has a lot to do with how you train him or her. If you want to get inside your pup's mind and teach him the healthy boundaries of obedience, then I suggest you go to http://www.bite-sized-pooch.com. Your dog will love you for it. http://www.bite-sized-pooch.com">Click here only if you're interested in seeing how your dog can live a healthy and happy life of obedience. An Honest Review of an Online Puppy and Dog Training System

Josella Benton 2006-12-27
Title: An Honest Review of an Online Puppy and Dog Training System
We have previously trialled several methods of dog training, from shock collars to classical training methods, but nothing matches up to what Dove Cresswell has to offer.

Her methods produce consistent, lasting results and remarkably quick success. There's a reason why she's so popular in Hollywood - her no-fuss, no-nonsense techniques are simple to apply and our dogs all responded quickly and positively. And now, thanks to the magic of the world wide web, her techniques can be watched in homes all over the world. The best part is that it works, and the second best part is that it's so easy to follow Doves instructions and start to see your dog or puppy's improvements immediately. And for a very reasonable $38.97 it's very affordable! It's so much more interactive too than a printed book, you can see the dogs behavior changing in the videos and you just know it will work with your best friend too.

Dove's technique is effective because it is enjoyable for both the dog and the instructor. A system of positive rewards can't fail to please a food-motivated animal. Classical techniques of dog training call for all sorts of distracting behaviour, such as redirecting the dogs attention elsewhere, but this teaches a dog to ignore you some of the time, and listen at other times - it's not consistent, and it confuses the dog. Dove's innovative training technique captures the dogs attention and maintains a level of consistency - and if a dog is taught consistently, then it's behaviour will be consistent! Simple as that.

There have been all sorts of quick-fix methods of training turning up on the market lately, from collars that shock a dog when it barks, to property line markers that shock the animal when it ventures to the edge of a yard. These methods are obviously not pleasant for the dog, and not for a caring owner, either! They teach a dog fear, and can result in anxiety and stress that can escalate into all sorts of negative behaviour, from chewing on property or obsessive digging in the yard, to more serious problems like aggression. Negative training nearly always produces negative results, and it's no fun for the dog or for you. Positive reinforcement training produces positive results, and that's the method Dove Cresswell swears by, and so do we! And best of all, it's safe for you and your pets.

Dove Cresswell's system works, it's fun for the dog, and - best of all - it's quick and easy and affordable. Instead of having to attend classes you don't need, you can select what's right for you and your dog out of what's available. If you need to repeat a class, you have it on hand right when you need it and when it's convenient for you. You can go back, and repeat stages until you're happy. It's online, it's simple to access, and there's nothing messy to download and print, and you can do the training in the comfort of your own home (or backyard!). Dove is friendly and personable, and the dogs love her - and so will you. It's so affordable and easy, and it's available right now, so what are you waiting for? Dove has transformed many a dog in Hollywood into a star, and now she can help you, too. Your dog will thank you for it!

In Dove's own words...

"You'll receive 7 complete lessons with all the information you need. My training is proven and easy. You don't need to print out an annoying ebook or read through hundreds of boring pages. With my program there's no useless "filler."

In minutes you can get started and quickly master:

* Puppy House Training / Potty Training * Dog Obedience Training * Crate Training * Walking Politely on a Leash: The Informal Heel * The Recall * Good Puppy & Dog Manners * Special Dog Tricks

Friends, you are just not going to believe how simple, fast and easy it is to train your puppy or dog using the same dog training methods the pros in the entertainment industry use.

You'll get everything you need to know about puppy and dog training in 7 quick, no-nonsense, get-to-the-point-fast lessons."

We wholeheartedly agree! We rate this online resource a resounding 9 out of 10 All Paws Up!

We offer an informative range of dog and puppy training resources on our site to help everyone get the most out of their relationship with their best friend. Helpful no-nonsense training course reviews as well as some helpful advice on personal training. The Secret of Unstable Atmosphere Training for Strength, Speed and Power

Joe Driscoll 2006-01-10
Title: The Secret of Unstable Atmosphere Training for Strength, Speed and Power
Luckily I learned a long time ago that if you train the same way that average people are training, you can expect the same average results. This couldn’t be truer when it comes to traditional bodyweight exercises and weightlifting routines. So many fitness routines are made up of doing things “the way they’ve always been done”.

Your training should be dictated by one thing, results. The results you want, and the results your training is giving you. If results aren’t coming your way, it just might be time to look at an alternative training strategy.

This is especially true if you’re an athlete or training for a Martial Art, the measuring stick should be progress. Is it working? Are you getting: · Stronger · Faster · Quicker Reactions · Increasing your athleticism · Very efficient muscle firing patterns · And on and on…

The best way to make sure you will reach your full fitness potential is to add unstable atmosphere training to your regimen. You accomplish this by using such things as stability balls and balance disks in your training. When you do this, you force the smaller muscles of the spine to become engaged.

These smaller spinal muscles are what I call the “athleticism muscles”. Once you begin to use them, they essentially become activated and will take part in all your athletic movements. The results are more functional strength, quicker reactions and overall increased athleticism.

The smaller muscles of the spine will adapt once engaged, sometimes I’ve had athletes feel the progress after only a couple training sessions. And likewise, if you continue to train while not engaging these muscles, you are in essence teaching your body not to use them.

For example, when doing the basic pushup, your body is learning just that. Your feet and hands are firmly routed, and the exercise is very one-dimensional. Your athleticism muscles are being taught that they are not needed, and your body will adapt.

Many traditional bodyweight exercises and weight training is nothing like athletic movements and it’s no surprise that they don’t transfer at all to the athletic arena. An excellent example of this is the simple squat. It’s very common for an athlete who is able to do hundreds of squats to have problems merely getting a handful out when doing them on the balance disks. The reason is simple, like athletics and life, the movement now becomes multi-dimensional. No matter if you’re a Martial Artist, a golfer or your just looking to get back in the fitness swing of things, unstable atmosphere training if for you!

Rapid Weight Routines for the Busiest of People

Brett MacPherson 2008-04-29
Title: Rapid Weight Routines for the Busiest of People
Before I start, I have to warn you, this type of training is a long way from what most people would have tried before and it may result in you getting dramatically leaner in a matter of weeks, your friends may not recognise you.

Ok, maybe I went a bit too far with the "friends not recognising you" bit, but this type of training is exceptional for people who use the excuse that they are too time pressed to go to the gym, or even for the normal gym rat to try out for a few weeks to break out of a plateau.

It is important to keep an open mind however and you may need to block out some of what others in the gym may say to you as you may get dome funny looks, but this training is ultra effective and you will have the last laugh. As this is such a unique way of training, most people will be too self-conscious to try it, but that’s their loss.

This is what you do:

Instead of doing the normal thing of going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week doing cardio and weight training for an hour at a time, with this routine, we are simply going to exercise for about 2 minutes at a time, a few times over your day, 5 days a week.

This program is going to consist of movements using your bodyweight for 2 to 3 minutes, and you will do this 6 to 8 times each day. For those of you who work a normal office job you cant be shy about having the people around you watch you exercise, in fact its sure to start people talking and you may get them to join you, of course, if you have a private office you wont have to worry. If you work from home, or are a stay at home parent, there's no reason why you can’t use these workouts throughout your day. If you happen to have a time pressed day filled with meetings and such, and you can only fit in a few of these 2 minute sessions, that’s ok, simply try to fit in as many as you can over the day.

If you have a normal 9-5 office routine, try doing your 2-minute workouts every hour, on the hour, with the exception of lunch. For example, you could try 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm.

Try to focus on movements like:

-bodyweight squats (and variations)

-pushups (and variations)

-forward, reverse, or walking lunges

-up & down a staircase if one is available

-floor planks (holding plank position from forearms and feet)

-floor abs movements such as lying leg thrusts, ab bicycles, etc.

-one-legged bodyweight Romanian deadlifts

This is not a complete list as I'm trying to keep it simple, if you know any other good body weight movements you can add them to your day as well. To keep it really simple and if you don’t want to spend all your sessions on the floor, just using squats, lunges, and pushups may still get you good results.

These workouts are great as in 2 minutes you should do enough to get your heart pumping, raise your heart rate, work your muscles and to raise your temperature but 2 minutes is usually not enough to get you sweating and stinky in the office.

Here's an example of a workout (adjust the repetitions up or down based on your ability):

Mon/Wed/Fri
9 am - 10 pushups/15 bodyweight squats, repeat 1X for 2 sets
10 am - plank holds (hold the planks as long as you can taking short rest breaks for a total of 3 minutes)
11 am - 5 pushups/10 bodyweight squats, repeat for 4 sets
1 pm - plank holds (hold as long as possible in 3 minutes)
2 pm - 8 pushups/12 bodyweight squats, repeat for 3 sets
3 pm - plank holds (hold as long as possible in 3 minutes)
4 pm - max pushups/max bodyweight squats in one set (no repeat)

Tues/Thurs
9 am - 6 fwd lunges each leg/6 rev lunges, repeat 1X for 2 sets
10 am - one legged bw Romanian deadlifts (RDL) 6 each leg/floor abs for 20 sec, repeat 1X for 2 sets
11 am - 3 fwd lunges each leg/3 rev lunges, repeat for 4 sets
1 pm - one legged bw RDL 3 each leg/floor abs for 20 sec, repeat for 4 sets
2 pm - 5 fwd lunges each leg/5 rev lunges, repeat for 3 sets
3 pm - one legged bw RDL 10 each leg/floor abs for 30 sec (no repeat)
4 pm - max fwd lunges each leg/max rev lunges in one set (no repeat)

So you can progress through these workouts, you can add a repetition or two to each set every week, Or by using more difficult variations of the movements you can add some progressions (for example, close grip pushups, one leg raised pushups, squats with arms raised straight over head, etc.).

These workouts are just a couple examples of how you can use this unique type of training. Use your creativity and come up with your own. Think about what you've accomplished with these "mini" workouts completed throughout each day... You've increased your heart rate and pumped up your muscles 6-8 seperate times throughout each day, burning many extra calories and stimulating your metabolism. Even though each "mini" workout was a very short duration, you've accumulated many repetitions for almost every muscle throughout your entire body, and you didn't even have to break a sweat during any of the "mini" workouts. In addition, there's hardly any excuse for not being able to take a 2-minute break once per hour and do a couple of movements. Another benefit of this type of training is that now you don't have to devote any time before or after work to going to the gym because you already got your workout done little by little throughout the day. You now have some extra free time on your hands!

Try this type of program out for 3-4 weeks and then go back to your normal gym routines. I think you'll find that it was a great way to break out of a plateau and stimulate new results in your body. You can try mixing in a cycle of these "mini" workouts every couple of months to keep things fresh.

Remember that this type of training is only one method your should try, variety is important and you shouldn’t stick to this forever. training too long with any method will get you to a plateau eventually. So try rotating it into your training methods arsenal. Too often, we don’t have to courage to try something unique through fear of what others may think but with exercise often, the most common methods everyone uses are not the best ones. Having the courage to try something a little unique in this case may get you far better results while those who question you are left behind.

Dog Training: A Systematic Approach

Wade Robins 2007-09-17
Title: Dog Training: A Systematic Approach
Dog’s bad conduct is similar to that of a misbehaving child, but dog is a better learner than a child if provided appropriate dog training techniques which may produce wonderful results. There are specialized training institutes which offer thorough training techniques for your dog. It is advisable that owner personally visit the training institute during the training sessions so that he can also get knowledge of training techniques and rehearse it at home. The unique training techniques are employed these days to train the dogs; these not only help dog understand the commands but also affects its other behavioral aspects .

You can also find some dog training techniques from the local book stores or at public library. Such books provide good information on the subject and one can easily demonstrate these to their dogs. There is also availability for video clips which give detail insight into the behavior of the dog and owner and elaborates perfect training techniques to produce wonderful dogs. Such dog training techniques are available in video library and also telecasted on television. Such video programs provide perfect training as they exemplify the perfect conducts between dog and owner.

Dog Training: Professional's Forte

The trainer and dog needs to form a bonding wherein they rely on each other. Dog requires behaving respectfully with the owner, and constructive reactions should be duly awarded. Constructive reaction is the result of affirmative inspiration and admiration. Dog training must be started earlier and for appropriate training it is essential that it be continued uninterruptedly. The dog training techniques encourages constructive reaction and discourages misbehavior. A mild reprimand on misbehavior may be enough to send a message to the dog that this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Similarly a good behavior must be rewarded with a show of affection like gentle patting or by giving the dog something to eat that he relishes. For more info see http://www.startdogtraining.com/Dog_Training_School on Dog Training School.

It should be noted that dog training techniques should be performed in a friendly and docile manner. Puppies do not make blunders that may upset the handler. Young puppy might not learn swiftly and may misbehave at certain point of time but is also eager to improve. It should be reminded that punishment is not an effective method to encourage a good behavior. Punishment will allow the dog to misbehave in circumstances when the owner is not in the vicinity and it will never inspire dog to learn commands. Efficient dog training techniques will assist you in strengthening dog conducts and effect wonderful results.

Dog Training Tips That Work!

Armen Ghazarians 2006-05-08
Title: Dog Training Tips That Work!

In dog training, the most simple acts often produce the best results. In any dog pack, the alpha sets the rules and the rest follow. Therefore, by establishing yourself as the alpha, you can be sure that your obedience training sessions will be that much more productive. The following is a list of 8 simple things you can do to teach your new puppy or unruly dog that you are the alpha in your pack.

1. Never feed your dog from your plate while you're eating. A dog must learn that your are the alpha and that it can only eat when you are finished with your meal.

2. Never allow your dog on the sofa or on your bed. And if your dog sits on your path, gently shove it out of the way with your foot. By setting boundaries, you will instill in your dog that it must obey the alpha.

3. Never allow your dog to chew on your towels, socks, shoes, or clothing. Use bitter apple to discourage these behaviors.

4. NEVER HIT YOUR DOG FOR MISBEHAVING. Instead use the tone of your voice and a collar/leash to teach and make corrections.

5. Never allow a puppy to chew on your fingers. Otherwise, it will become a habit that will be very hard to break when it becomes an adult. Spray you hands and fingers with bitter apple and then allow the dog to proceed. The dog will learn not to bite your fingers without associating any negative thoughts about you as the alpha.

6. Never leave a hyper dog unexercised. Playing ball before you leave for work and after you return can help alleviate your dog's pent-up energy.

7. Never keep your dog alone in a yard for days at a times. Without proper socialization your dog will become aggressive towards other dogs as well as other humans. A dog needs contact with its own species in order to learn how to behave in a dog pack equally as well as it must learn to behave in a human pack. A dog left alone for long periods of time will believe itself to be the alpha and try to dictate to its master instead of the other way around.

8. Never allow your dog to jump on you or your guests. Its fun when your dog is a puppy, but it isn't fun when it becomes a 100lb behemoth. Practice with a collar and leash and set up situations where a neighbor rings your doorbell while your dog awaits their entrance. Make a sharp correction and command your dog to "sit" when as your neighbor enters the house. And, of course, don't forget to praise the dog as soon as it follows your command. Once the dog knows what to do, try the same thing off leash, but this time use a water spray bottle and spray your dogs face with water as punishment for jumping with a stern vocal correction of "NO". Proceed to praise your dog once again when your dog obeys your command. This way, it will learn to associate praise with correct action.

By following these steps, you will establish yourself as the alpha. And, you will have a head start in training your dog because it will have already learned to respect your authority as its leader.

==========================================

Wishing You Life's Best,

Your Name

http://www.SponsoringSuccess.com

Tired of Tiny Checks? This Secret is Your Solution!

==========================================

Training Your Pit Bull Terrier With Dog Treats

Title: Training Your Pit Bull Terrier With Dog Treats

Every responsible Pit Bull owner wants a well trained pet. There are several training options which may be used to achieve the desired results. One of the most popular methods used by owners is treat training. Treat training is a reward system using either the dog's favorite snack food such as cheese, bits of hotdog or by using store bought treats.

Treat training allows the owner to use these small bribes as a form of positive reinforcement for good behavior. Proper use of treat training will enable you to teach your Pit Bull to follow the sit, come and lie down commands, as well as teach him almost any trick you can imagine. If used with friendly rubs and praises, it can also assist you to housebreak your Pit Bull.

To teach your Pit Bull to sit, you'll need to prepare a treat bag just before you begin. A plastic zip top baggy comes highly recommended by me for use as a treat container. It allows you to put the treats in your pocket while allowing you to keep your pockets from getting soiled and soggy. Believe me, try it without the baggy and you'll not try it that way again. This is especially true if you opt to use bits of table food such as the cheese and hotdog slices.

Decide upon what you will use as the treat. Think of what your Pit Bull likes to eat, but you don't give him very often. This makes an irresistible bribe, and you will see faster results than if you'd used an every day treat. Once you've chosen your bribe, put the baggy in your pocket so you can reach it easily. Don't try to hold the bag in your hand, as this will distract your Pit Bull, and may even get him to jumping up in an attempt to try and grab the entire bag.

If you have more than one Pit Bull, or other dog for that matter, take the time to put the other dog away so you can do one on one training. Other animals in the vicinity will only hamper your training as your Pit Bull will think the session is a competition for which dog can get the treat fastest, rather obedience training.

Now that you've prepped your treat bag and have your Pit Bull alone with you, it's time to begin.

Take a bit of your chosen treat and hold it above your Pit Bull's head while giving the command to "sit." If you hold the treat high, the dog will have to sit to see the treat. Once he sits, give him the treat and be sure to praise him as a "good boy" for the sit. You can repeat this four or five more times, but after that give it a rest until the next day. I know it doesn't sound like rigorous training, but it is considered a full session.

Once your Pit Bull has mastered the "sit" command, start to gradually offer gentle rubs and praises rather than treats. You'll eventually phase out the food treats, and your Pit Bull will continue to sit on command.

Using treat training is an effective and gentle way to train your Pit Bull. It also allows you to be close to your pet for a session of giving treats and praises. Imagine how much your Pit Bull will enjoy that!
