In earlier times we booked our holidays at a travel agents. Here we would choose which country that we would visit, the traveling date based on the availability of flights and how much we could afford to spend on our holidays. These days the internet lets us book our holidays by direct holidays services thus taking a lot of the fuss out of travel.
Direct holidays is another way of saying internet travel services or even online holiday operators. The internet takes the place of an office bound travel agent. While it may seem to be a soulless way to arrange your travel plans, with so much information available on the websites of direct holidays you can see what is in store for you in the country of your choice before you book your tickets.
There are many internet sources that will provide you the information that you need about the various types of direct holidays. You can decide on a luxurious holiday, self-catering holiday, package deals, all inclusive holidays or even adventure holiays.
While there are online travel agents who can provide you with all of your holiday travel needs and information, with direct holidays you can book your own departure and return dates with a simple click of a mouse button.
With direct holidays you can see and compare the various hotels in the area where you will be staying. You can find out if the hotel has amenities that will give you a relaxing holiday. Direct holidays can also provide the information about the weather in the country of your choice during the time that you have chosen to go on holiday.
Another well known feature of direct holidays is that you can review what previous patrons have to say about the hotel that you may be staying in, the food and services to be found in that hotel and the types of activities that are available in that region. In short direct holidays has made deciding your holiday details very easy. All that you need to do is to just click the details that you want for your holiday and direct holidays will be able start your travel plans.
Now while you might think that this is the best way to plan your holidays, you should take care and see if your direct holidays operator is a reliable and a legitimate one. Even though the internet has made many things easy and hassle free, there are still people who will try to defraud you. So be careful when you’re booking your holidays, but don’t let caution take the fun out of planning your holiday. Your holiday should be all about fun and you should try not to lose sight of that fact.

Title: Self catering hoidays in Spain.
As an alternative to package holidays, many people nowadays are choosing to bypass the travel agents and book an apartment or villa direct from the property owners. Spain, including Majorca and the Canary islands remain the most popular destinations. With the cost of flights falling because of the rise of the budget airlines, holidays at a fraction of the price of a few years ago can be achieved. The internet has seen an explosion of sites offering apartments and villas direct from the owners. Many owners are desperate to fill available weeks and will often accept an offer below the price they are asking. These days, it pays to be a bit cheeky and it’s always worth trying to get some discount. There are some fabulous properties available, most include access to a shared or private pool and a high percentage have satellite tv, dvd etc . The Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol remain the most popular areas of mainland Spain. The favourite destination on the Costa Blanca is the stretch between Benidorm in the south and Javea in the north. This area offers something for most people. Benidorm with its nightlife and fantastic beaches may not be for everybody but it continues to attract thousands of people every year from all over Europe. Benidorm has spent millions of euros over the past ten years in an attempt to upgrade its image. The new Terra Mitica and Terra Natura theme parks along with the 5 star Sheraton hotel and golf courses have gone a long way towards achieving this goal . An e.u grant of over ten million euros has provided the foundation for the massive poniente promenade upgrade which will further enhance Benidorm’s reputation. The beauty of this area of the Costa Blanca is its diversity. A couple of miles inland from Benidorm and you’re in a different world. A hire car will let you explore the beautiful mountain villages and orange groves which abound. It’s hard to believe that you are only a few miles from the bustle of the coastal resorts. You can rent a beautiful villa with private pool in this area for less than you might think. A bit further north from Benidorm is the popular resort of Calpe famous for its Penyal de Ifach, a prominent rock which dominates the skyline, towering 300metres above the sea. Calpe is also notable for its many seafood restaurants which populate the harbour area. Between Calpe and Benidorm and well worth a visit, is the old town of Altea. A hike up from the main town through the narrow cobbled streets to the main square and the impressive blue domed church of the virgin de Consuelo will bring home the diversity of the area. The more northerly resorts of Javea and Denia have many apartments and villas on offer. Denia is home for the main ferries to and from Ibiza and Majorca, this gives the area a cosmopolitan feel with tourists from all over Europe stopping over in transit to the Balearic islands. The Costa Blanca is deemed by the World Health Association , to be the healthiest place in Europe to live and is becoming one of the most popular destinations for second home owners from more northerly European climes. The Costa del Sol has some of the most upmarket resorts in Spain, including the fabulously wealthy Marbella and Puerto Banus. Properties here don’t come cheap but don’t be afraid to ask for some discount. Be prepared to pay more for apartments and villas in this area and take a large wad for your living expenses. Eating out will soon gobble up your spends. Majorca is the most popular destination for family holidays. Beautiful resorts, beaches and scenery make Majorca a magical place and many people return year after year, becoming friends of the local bar and restaurant owners. It’s not unusual to meet people who have been staying at the same resort every summer for the past twenty years. Menorca is a quieter island which caters well for families but without the hectic nightlife of some of the more popular Majorcan resorts. Lastly, the Canary islands are popular for year round sunshine. Tenerife is the most visited island, the landscape varies enormously between the north and south. The south is a sun seekers paradise with a strange almost lunar landscape, while the north has a tropical feel with banana plantations and exotic flowers. Tenerife is a volcanic island and it comes as a surprise to many first time visitors when they find that the beaches have black sand. A popular website with apartments and villas to rent in all these areas is Apartrent. Most properties on the Apartrent website are privately owned so there are no agents fees and you can deal direct with the owner, check it out at http://www.apartrent.co.uk Happy hunting.

Title: Holiday Tips For Twelve Steppers
Staying Sober and Sane Through The Holidays The holidays have a way of affecting us all. It can be subtle or very direct. The pace increases in our lives and the events become plentiful. Being able to enjoy the holidays is a goal I strive for every year. So what have I learned with 16 sober holidays under my belt? 1. Don't let meetings take a back seat. If an event is in conflict make sure you have an alternative meeting to pick up. 2. This is a great time of year to practice NOT people pleasing. Do what you can and feel comfortable with. No explanations needed. 3. Come late leave early. This is a favorite of mine and cuts out much of the emotional baggage that can accumulate at a function. 4. Keep literature in the car with reinforcing pages marked. If your not ready to leave take five and read something that will help you stay connected. 5. Remind yourself of the true meaning of the holidays. Whatever you celebrate ~ key into the spiritual and try to flush the commercial. 6. Allow a few moments extra to slow down before holiday tasks such as shopping, cleaning, entertaining, decorating etc. Key in on that spiritual aspect again. 7. Don't forget to HALT. Basic needs can get skipped in all the hub bub. Again slow down for a few minutes to make sure your needs are met ~ including meetings. 8. Get out that gratitude list ~ remember how it use to be ~ share your ESH if you are having trouble remembering. 9. Attend a sober activity instead of a function that may be too much too soon. 10. If the best you can do is not use ~ that is HUGE and should not be dismissed ~ that can be the BIGGEST gratitude you will ever have. Let all other aspects of the Holidays take the back seat. 11. Stay close to meetings, sponsors, support and counselors ~ pick up a commitment ~ you may not be aware of the effects the Holidays could be having on you. 12. Finally don't forget the many alkathons that are held during this time of year. Find out where they are and put the information in your wallet.

Holidays are an integral part of every culture and are derived from amalgamation of two words 'Holy' and 'Days'. Synonymous with celebration, holidays in the USA are not religious, but are mostly commemorative. In America there are ten holidays which have been designated federal holidays under USC Title 5 Section 6103 of American law. As the law defines these holidays, they are also referred to as legal holidays. Though all the states observe these holidays, they also have jurisdiction to formulate their own state holidays. The ten holidays formulated by the American law include New Year's Day, Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. is celebrated to honor the leader who preached non-violence and fought against segregation. Memorial Day is observed to honor the brave soldiers who died during various wars. Independence Day marks the birth of the United States as a free and independent nation. Labor Day is always observed on the first Monday of September and has been a federal holiday since 1894, to honor the nation's working people. Marked by parades and processions, it is observed with great zest throughout the nation. Columbus Day is celebrated to commemorate Italian navigator Christopher Columbus' landing in the New World on October 12, 1492, and is chiefly celebrated in New York. Veterans Day, was originally known as Armistice Day, honors Americans who served during World War I. Thanksgiving Day is observed on the fourth Thursday in November, but is generally celebrated on the following Friday as well to make a four-day weekend. During this holiday, Americans spend time with family and friends. Thanksgiving symbolizes the joyous family reunion. If any of these holidays happens to fall on Saturday, then it is to the discretion of various institutions and organizations to observe Friday as a holiday. Though these holidays do not have a religious backup, they are observed with great honor, zest and respect all across the United States. Jewish Holidays provides detailed information on Holidays, Jewish Holidays, Mexican Holidays, Federal Holidays and more. Jewish Holidays is affiliated with Valentine's Day Gifts.

Title: Direct Sales Tips: A Goldmine Of Sales During The Holidays
The Holidays are a great reason to call ALL of your previous customers and hostesses to offer a show, schedule a private appointment and gather referrals. Here are just a few tips to help you get on that phone. · Put yourself in a positive frame of mind before you make the call so you can transfer your enthusiasm to the person you are calling. · Set your intention for the call. What do you want to have happen? How about reminding them you are there to help them with their holiday shopping? Help them to shop by suggesting companion items that will compliment what they have already ordered. · Make first impressions count. The first fifteen seconds sets the tone for your entire call. Your most effective introduction is one given with professionalism and warmth. · Respect their time. “Is this a good time for you?” will show respect for your customer. Don't assume your customer is available when you call. Respect their time and privacy, and they will remember your sincerity. · Build rapport. Everyone wants to feel special, so build rapport with a compliment or gesture of friendship. · Go for the gold! You made the call – now make the most of the opportunity by offering to… 1) Save money by shopping for the holidays with their hostess credit and/or discounts. 2) Earn holiday cash by becoming a “Holiday Helper” by starting their business just in time to collect orders for the holidays. 3) Shop in a safe and hassle-free environment of their home or office with a group of friends or just the two of you. · No matter what the result of your customer call, always ask for a referral by saying, “Who do you know who still needs to do their holiday shopping or who could use some additional money this time of year?” People respect you when you are purposeful and professional.

Title: Making The Most Of Your Direct Selling Holiday Season
The holidays are fast upon us and as work at home moms we know how it feels to have just one more thing to think about! Meant to be a time of excitement, joy, memories and fun, often the holidays drive the home based business mom over the edge and into the land of stress and craziness. But you, Direct Sales Mom, have what many of those stressed out moms need this time of the year. You have the gift of GIFTS! Without having to battle the lines at Kohl's or the mall, moms can email or call you and have their holiday shopping done without even leaving the house! By adding a little sparkle of "extra mile" to your already excellent customer service skills, you can help busy moms everywhere bring back the joy and fun this holiday season. So, let's talk about what you can do in your direct sales business to help these over the edge moms starting today! ** Give them a simple organization gift - Send out a blank wish list sheet to your customer mailing list. Offer it as a gift to new subscribers to your newsletter list too. This can be as simple as a chart with columns and rows for "Name" and "Gift" for them to keep track as they shop. It's a nice gesture and could be just what an overwhelmed mom needs to help her get organized with this part of the season. You can create one yourself in word or excel, or search the web for some fancier templates. Just make sure it has your resource box on there, "Compliments of..." so they know who to call! ** Offer gift-wrapping and "delivered to their door" service for moms who purchase gifts from you. Yes, it might cost you a little more, but think of the help you're giving to another mom and the potential for future business you're generating by the sacrifice. ** Group your products into gift packages. Get creative here ladies. Take a good look throughout your catalog and create lovely packages of complimentary products at various price points. Do the thinking for your customers to take away one more layer of stress. Go beyond just suggesting and up selling and create packages with package pricing so all they have to do is call or email you and say, "I want 3 of that $15 package you mentioned on your email". Offer the gift-wrapping above and include that in your package pricing to make it even easier for them. ** Provide gift certificate services so your customers can give your catalog and the certificate as a gift. Not only does this help your customer with her stress level, but it gives you the opportunity to win over a new customer as well. ** Most of all brainstorm about what would help YOU feel more relaxed about your holiday shopping this holiday season and then see how you can help other moms in the same way. Make the most of your holiday selling season by reaching out and helping others. You'll be glad you did!
