Some of us believe that we have full control over our lives. However, this may not be entirely true. Destiny or fate plays a very important role in our lives irrespective of our gender, race, religion, nationality etc. To explain the concept of destiny, we need to understand what destiny is. The popular western view is that we are in control of our lives and everything that happens to us is because of our own choice. On the other hand, the popular eastern view is that not every thing that happens to us is under our control and that we are nothing but puppets in a preordained plan.

However, neither of these views are completely correct. According to the science of Spirituality, in the current times 65% of our lives are ruled by Destiny and 35% by wilful action. However, we can overcome the 65% of the Destiny part, by using the 35% of our wilful action to undertake the correct spiritual practice.

Destiny is when one has no control over life situations. Wilful action is that portion of one’s life, which is still under one’s control.

An example of wilful action: Let us take an example of a person who is drunk and has a poorly maintained car. In this state he decides to drive his car down a steep mountainside, crossing speed limits. He loses control of his car and skids off the road down the mountainside. Would that be an accident caused by destiny or wilful action? It would be due to his wilful action and not due to Destiny as he could have chosen not to drink and drive. He also had the option of keeping his car well maintained and could have driven it within the speed limits.

An example of an event influenced by destiny: Let us take another example wherein the person does not drink, drives his well-maintained car carefully, down the same mountainside within speed limits. All of a sudden, a portion of the road collapses due to a landslide and he meets with an accident. In this case, the person had no control over the landslide that occurred and hence this is a destined event.

Destiny heavily influences many aspects of our lives, such as the decisions that we make, with whom we spend our lives etc. All major events in our life such as birth, marriage, major illnesses, accidents and death are pre-destined.

Now, let us see why and how Destiny is created by us.

Destiny and the rule of Give-and-Take

According to the ‘Law of Karma’, every positive deed generates a ‘merit’ while every negative deed generates a ‘demerit’ or a sin. Subsequently one has to reap the results of one’s deeds as a part of destiny. Whenever one does a good deed to others, it is bound to give a positive return (in the form of some happiness). Whenever one inflicts harm, it is bound to give a negative return in the form of sorrow in some form. It cannot be undone by a simple ‘Sorry’! The ‘law of Karma’ is infallible. Throughout our lives, we are either settling an old account i.e. fulfilling our destiny, or creating a new one. If for some reason, the account cannot be settled in this birth, it gets carried over to the next birth. We are not consciously aware of the give-and-take accounts or the destiny that is generated in our previous births.

All major events in our lives such as the time and place of birth, our spouse, death, etc. occur as planned in our Destiny. One is born into a particular family, where conditions are conducive to undergo one’s destiny and where one has a significant give-and-take account with each member of the family. In addition, one also has a different give-and-take account with different individuals with whom one comes across such as relatives, close friends, neighbours, colleagues, etc.

If we continue to use our wilful actions without undertaking spiritual practice then we will keep accumulating a give and take account thus increasing our destiny, and our spiritual growth will stagnate. This will keep us trapped in the vicious cycle of birth and death and away from the basic objective of achieving Liberation.

As Destiny is a spiritual root cause of difficulties in our life, we can nullify or reduce the effects of destiny only by undertaking the spiritual practice most conducive to the times. This is because destiny is completely a spiritual aspect, and can be overcome only with a spiritual remedy, which is undertaking spiritual practice as per the basic principles of Spirituality.

For details about destiny, the law of Karma, the percentages of give-and-take account with various individuals, how correct spiritual practice helps reduce the impact of destiny, how to stop generating new accounts etc. please visit the website of the Spiritual Science Research Foundation.

You can run, but you cannot hide

Elsabe Smit 2008-03-11
Title: You can run, but you cannot hide
We like to flippantly refer to good karma and bad karma, but is there any truth in karma? What is karma? Can I change my karma?

My search for answers to these questions has provided me with interesting information. For example, I have always thought of karma as Buddhism or something that is unique to Buddhism. Since I am not an expert on this philosophy, I have kind of left it there.

But important things tend to come back to us time and again (karma?), and my curiosity was stimulated to the extent that I did some reading about Buddhism and karma. And guess what? I discovered that the same concept is expressed in many diverse sources, including Buddhist texts.

The Buddha said "I am the owner of my karma . I inherit my karma. I am born of my karma. I am related to my karma. I live supported by my karma. Whatever karma I create, whether good or evil, that I shall inherit."

There is also the Golden Rule where Confucius argues that the central principle of ethics is to do what you would want to have done to yourself: ‘”Tzu-kung asked, "Is there one word which may serve as a rule of practice for all one's life?" The Master said, "Is not reciprocity such a word? What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others."'

The Bible carries the same message in verses such as "All things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12) and “Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again” (Eccl 1-1) and “A person reaps what he sows” (Gal. 6:7)

Kahlil Gibran says “The selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.”

There is even scientific proof of this in Newton’s Third law, which states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

So how do we make sense of all this in our daily lives? How do we ward off bad karma and attract good karma? The answer seems fairly simple. I found this anonymous quote: Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

So that is fairly easy. All we need to do is watch our thoughts, and the rest will fall into place. Yea, right. We all know that is not so easy – especially when we have anywhere between 33 and 38 thoughts per minute. And those of us who have done meditation know how must effort is required to clear our minds. Even then, we are aware that our minds are clear for a split second, and that in itself is a thought, isn’t it?

Are there other ways to change our karma?

Buddhism refers to the four powers of purification. The first one is to always think of any sentient beings that we may have hurt, so that we can develop our own compassion. The next power is to recognise our past actions that were unwise. There is no need to beat ourselves up about anything we have done – that is water under the bridge. It is far more important to simply acknowledge our actions, and once we are aware of these actions, to honestly promise not to repeat these actions again. This is a promise to yourself, and therefore far more serious than a promise to the rest of the world. It is also far more powerful than to be told by someone that you should not do something again, because you come to this realisation yourself. The fourth power is practise. This relates to repeating anything that helps you in your resolve to not repeat unwise actions.

Dr John Demartini tells the story of how he spent much time as a young boy weeding an area in the garden, and thinking that he was doing something good. One day a neighbour told him that he will spend the rest of his life weeding the garden if he does not plant flowers in the garden as well.

When things happen to us that we do not enjoy, we can throw our hands in the air and say that is bad karma and therefore inescapable, and do nothing more. If we understand that, as Newton’s law says, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, we can use the opportunity to counteract the karma from previous lives that we do not enjoy. That to me seems to be the way to restore the balance. Rather than passively accepting less enjoyable experiences, we need to understand that we have to achieve balance in our lives by creating joy for ourselves.

We may not see the results immediately, because this balance seems to cover more than one life. This is where we just have to trust and focus on actions that can only bring good karma.

But what if we do not believe in re-incarnation, and we focus on this life as the only one? Well, what damage can be done if you spend this life focusing on actions that can only bring good karma? It has got to come back to you as a good experience.

Confucius, Jesus, Khalil Gibran, the Buddha and Isaac Newton each said in their own unique way that whatever you do, you do in the first place to yourself.

I have to remind myself of this the next time I read in the newspaper about some brilliant political scheme that can only fail, and not get irritated, but rather find my own way of making the world a better place.

Why Karma Does NOT Exist

JK Ellis 2006-12-03
Title: Why Karma Does NOT Exist
There is nothing so interesting as toppling icons and the windmill I want to tilt at today is Karma.

Karma is the "cosmic bitch slap" born of the belief that all of the universe is cause and effect.

Another factor that influences people to believe in Karma is they find it almost impossible to justify why bad things happen to good people and why bad people seem to be the ones who get rich, get laid and get even.

Add to the mix an upbringing of fear and guilt and just about anyone will find themselves longing for a universe in which karma is the rule like it were a life raft for our sanity.

The fact is that with all of that behind us Karma is the glue we use to not go crazy and admit what seems to obvious:

* Some people do get away with murder. * Some children suffer for no reason. * The guys who go after what they want, sometimes at the cost of others, often are the ones who get rich, get laid and get even.

As an exercise in mental flexibility (and some would say blasphemy) let's examine the Karma Myth with a very critical eye. If this makes you too uncomfortable you're encouraged to stop reading ant try to forget anything that is written here.

Argument 1 - Time

Among the questions I want to pose are "Is ALL the universe limited to cause and effect?"

The answer on one level is yes. On another level the answer is not so clear. Why? Because cause and effect is a result of the awareness of time (i.e., cause is followed by effect) and none of that can make sense when time is removed from the equation.

A clearer picture of this argument emerges when we recognize that time itself is perceived only by the nervous system and the nervous system is a result of having a body. Absent of the body and nervous system there is no ability to perceive time. Without time there is no more cause and effect and

it is possible to experience everything as a single event.

On this "higher" perception absent the creation of time and therefore cause and effect and the concept of Karma is completely absent.

Argument 2 - Good and Evil

The belief in Good and Evil is a central support pillar for the Karma Myth. If someone does something that we judge as bad we want to know that we are compensated by them "having bad karma". Of course this does not address the fact that they believe they are doing good and that they will be rewarded for their good acts with good Karma.

The absolute of Good and Evil we find is much more subjective than we want to believe.

Argument 3 - The Origin

Just because you read it in a book or heard it from your parents or religious leader does not make it true... unless of course you have been trained to never question authority.

Argument 4 - Benefits

As much as one MIGHT think that believing in Karma is good there are reasons that believing the opposite is just as good. Shocking thought, isn't it, but who likes to be motivated by fear to do the "right" thing?

Argument 5 - The Intention

Why would someone create Karma? One reason is to control people to do the right thing out of fear. There are other reasons if you think about them.

Argument 6 - Counter Evidence

As much as you hear about the bad guys that get caught how many never get caught? Some? Many? Most?

On that note bad things happen to good people and bad people often prosper. We fall back on the invisible Karma as a way of hoping that things end up right.

So what does a person do without the "Karma crutch" to guide their actions?

The answers are many.

* One could as as if Karma were real to guide their actions.

* One could do whatever they damn well want to do.

* One could do whatever they damn well want but do it with the awareness that a portion of their life *is* living in the cause and effect world and if they do something illegal it is likely to have some consequences. This does not prove the existence of Karma just the need to do some good planning.

The absence of Karma could be liberating or a burden. It can liberate one to live free of guilt and fear but it can burden one with REAL responsibility; the responsibility to be 100% in control of their life.

There Is No Karma

jon peeoh 2006-10-10
Title: There Is No Karma

Wow, with an article title like that, many of you are reading so that you'll know the proper way to lynch me. However, my mission is to deliver the deepest truths to you, and so I'm afraid there's an ugly little weed in the garden of our realities that must be chopped away, and that is the notion of karma.

Karma is, in its root form, the law of cause and effect. You do good, you get good. You do bad, you get bad. In most ways, this of course mirrors the Law of Attraction. But by destroying this framework notion of karma, you will allow yourself new ways to create, and ways to do so without being destructive to yourself.

Let us go ahead and take a close glance at karma. First of all, there is a bit of truth to the notion, although it is not the way that most consider "karma" to be. When you do harm, intentional harm, to others, especially when you "know that it is wrong", then you harm yourself. This is simply because there is no other - we are all one being. Harming someone else is only harming another piece of your greater self.

But now let's dispel the rest of karma, the whole good/bad thing, the dread that something could cause a karmic reaction that would bring unpleasantries into one's life.

You create what you think and believe, period. If you believe in karma, you will have karma. If you do something and "know it's wrong", believing it may come back to haunt you, it will. But the reality is much simpler, and allows much greater freedom. All possibility exists in this moment, and you merely choose which possibility to draw into your awareness, your consciousness, your life.

You choose this by thought, by speech, and by belief. I've heard people wonder this aloud all throughout my life: "Why is it that bad things happen to good people, and bad people live forever?" I'll tell you why right now!

In the minds of "bad people", they do not think they are "bad", or "wrong", or "sinful". Therefore no matter what they do, they are not putting a thought or belief out to the universe that creates a harmful event in their own life. Likewise, good people struggle with guilt, which is an entirely useless emotion for creating your reality. So long as you always do your best, no matter what happens, you can not change the past. Guilt is a stupid thing that we do to ourselves, and punish ourselves forever for small (or even large) blunders. But "good" people deal with guilt because of the notions of "right" and "wrong", and wanting to always do "right". So good people put self-destructive thoughts out whenever they perceive that they have done something wrong - teeny, huge, whatever, a "good" person is in the habit of creating guilt, which becomes a thoughtform that comes back to harm them. This is proof that creating your reality does not depend on your "morals", but only on the process, for better or for worse.

Now the closer you become to your spiritual being, the more naturally "good" you will become. Someone in love with themselves, aware of their connection to The All, does not desire to harm another. They come to love themselves, which is the only way that we can love others. The only way to true selflessness is through total selfishness. That seems contradictory, but it is true. The more you focus on loving yourself and making yourself happy, the more you will love others and make them happy, and your happiness will come to depend more on their happiness.

But enough about "morality", back to the point. Anything you want, no matter what, is in existence. The fact that you can even think of it, or imagine it, means that it exists, and all you must do is draw it into your life, your awareness, your Now. Therefore, by removing this silly notion of karma and thereby relieving yourself of guilt, you may ask for what you truly want, no matter how broad or specific, and through the purity of your intent and the knowing within that what you ask for is rightfully yours because it already exists and is simply what you want to experience, you will draw it to you, no repercussions, no "bad karma".

Even if your desire involves other humans, you can not affect them with your magick, any more than they can affect you. Free will is absolute. But in the infinite matrix of energy that is the source of All That Is, every possibility exists, and you can draw into your reality experiences that don't mesh with or seem to be possible in relation to your current reality. You aren't doing anything to others, you are merely changing your own experience in relation to them.

I invite anyone to discuss this on my forums at http://www.jonpeeoh.com/forums/ if you would like, as I'm sure that many of you want to question my assertion, punch holes in it, or perhaps punch holes in me. I welcome the challenge, and bid you good day!

Karma - how to make it work for you!

Michael McGrath 2006-08-04
Title: Karma - how to make it work for you!
I am sure you have heard the song "Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club but have you ever given much thought to its meaning? While on Earth, you are living in a world of reincarnation which is governed by the law of karma. Karma begins to propel you as Soul on a personal journey through the universe. Karma ends when you have reached enlightenment and fully realise that this physical reality and the Universe itself is just an illusion. When you reach a state of knowingness that there is but One all pervading essence and that essence or consciousness is You!

So what is Karma and how does it work? While in the illusion you have a soul. This soul lives past, present, and future lives. To grow in love, joy, and awareness, you reincarnate into a series of physical bodies to experience different existences. This road leads to the experiences of being both sexes, all races, religions, and ethnic types throughout many lifetimes.

Karma in its simplicist terms can be described by the biblical statement "as you sow, so also shall you reap". Karma is the principle of cause and effect, action and reaction, total cosmic justice and personal responsibility. It brings 'good' experiences as well as 'bad' - a debt must be repaid and a blessing rewarded.

A more indepth esoteric look at karma gives us the following distinctions: Sanchita Karma: the accumulated result of all your actions from all your past lifetimes. This is your total cosmic debt. Every moment of every day either you are adding to it or you are reducing this cosmic debt. Prarabdha Karma: the portion of your "sanchita" karma being worked on in the present life. If you work down your agreed upon debt in this lifetime, then more past debts surface to be worked on. Agami Karma: the portion of actions in the present life that add to your "sanchita" karma. If you fail to work off your debt, then more debts are added to "sanchita" karma and are sent to future lives. Kriyamana Karma: daily, instant karma created in this life that is worked off immediately. These are debts that are created and worked off - ie. you do wrong, you get caught and you spend time in jail.

As a soul, you experience a constant cycle of births and deaths with a series of bodies for the purpose of experiencing this illusionary world gaining spiritual insights into your own true nature until the totality of all experiences show you Who you really are - the I AM! Until you have learned, you will find that pretending that the rules of karma do not exist or trying to escape the consequences of your actions is futile.

Although it may often "feel" like punishment, the purpose of karma is to teach not to punish. Often the way we learn is to endure the same type of suffering that we have inflicted on others and also rexperience circumstances until we learn to change our thinking and attitudes.

We are all here to learn lessons as spiritual beings in human form. These lessons are designed to help us grow into greater levels of love, joy, and awareness. They teach us our true nature of love. Where we do not choose love, show forgiveness, teach tolerance, or display compassion, karma intervenes to put us back on the path of these lessons. Quite simply, the only way to achieve a state of karmic balance is to be love.

Before you incarnated into your present personality, you agreed to put yourself in the path of all that is you need to learn. Once you got here, you agreed to forget this. Karma is impersonal and has the same effect for everyone. It is completely fair in its workings and it is predictable - "do onto others as you would have them do unto you" is a way to ensure peace and tranquillity in your own life as well as the lives of those you come into contact with. The law of karma is predictable - "as you sow, so shall you reap" what is done to you is the net result of what you have done to others!

Karma gives you the opportunity at every moment to become a better person than you are and to open up to the realization that you are the master of your own fate.

The goal of karma is to give you all the experiences that you need to evolve into greater levels of love, joy, awareness, and responsibility. Karma teaches that you are totally responsible for the circumstances of your life. They keep you on the straight and narrow until you have mastered your vehicle and can ride freely on your own. Once you understand that you are the master of your own circumstances and that everything you experience is a direct result of your past actions due to your thinking and emotional responses you can overcome its seeming negative effects by creating only 'good' karma.

Karma forces us to look beyond ourselves (oneness) so that we can see ourselves as we truly are Whole, Complete, at One with everything. Once we truly understand ourselves, we can see our divinity and our unity with all life.

Karma drives us to service. Love means service. Once you accept total responsibility for your life, you see yourself as a soul in service to God. Once you do, you become a fully realized being, allowing God to experience the illusion through you.

Belief in karma and an understanding of its workings will lead you to a life of bliss. Only your own deeds can hinder you. Until the time comes when we release ourselves from our own self-imposed shackles of limitation and fully understand who and what we are we will live under the mantle of karma. So until that day why not create some wonderful experiences for ourselves by "doing onto others, as we would have them do unto us".

Karma versus Meditation

Dr. Roberto A. Bonomi 2006-05-29
Title: Karma versus Meditation
The Karma lives with us, the karma is part of our lives from the very moment of our birth to the moment of our death, because every time that we do something and even every time that we stop doing something, that generates karma, and you cannot avoid it in any way.

Of course that not all the karma that we generate is the same, there is a kind of karma that ties us or chains us to this life, and another kind of karma that liberates us of the reincarnation cycle.

The karma that chains us, known as Vishayakarma, has as fruits the misery and the lack of interior peace, while the karma generated by good actions or disinterested actions, know as the Sreyokarma allow us to reach the prosperity and the happiness of the soul, that it is much more than reaching the simple external happiness.

Every time that we face an activity with the desire of obtaining a certain result, this throws us into the arms of the desire, the greed and the ego demons, while only the pure actions that we do for love without taking into account the possible consequences of them, are the kind of actions that drive us little by little toward the illumination and the liberation.

That ones whose nature allows them to carry out this kind of unselfish activities, little by little realize that God provides them of all that they need and of all that confers them the interior peace. Another form of achieving the yearned interior peace is the meditation.

Perhaps you might ask yourself why? Why is the meditation so necessary?

Because the man always acts in two dimensions, the external dimension governed by the physical senses, and the internal dimension governed by the intelligence and the mind.

The internal conscience cannot move for itself, but rather needs the guide of the intelligence and the mind, that are the ones related with the external world, they are as the oxen that pull a carriage. These oxen are anxious to begin to walk, but to take us to the correct destination they should be educated, they should be indicated which is the route that takes us to the place to which wants to arrive the internal conscience. And these are the roads of the Truth, the Rightness, the Peace and the Love.

Then to liberate us from the enslaving karma, it is necessary to teach the intelligence and mind's oxen the art of dragging the carriage of the internal conscience, and this is achieved by means of the practices of the meditation and the repetition of the name of God.

And the conscience, to be able to guide the oxen of the intelligence and the mind, must calm and control the conflicting desires that infest the mind, and this is achieved when we learn how to point our mind to a single direction.

When thanks to the meditation, the bewildered mind dives in the view and repetition of the name of the Lord, the Divine Splendor able to burn the wrong and to illuminate the happiness is manifested.

It is easy to understand the benefits of the meditation. Anyone that undertakes a task, knows that only when he concentrates his efforts toward a single point, he can achieve the desired success. Even the most insignificant tasks require concentration, and the power of an unshakable effort is so big, that even the worst difficulties surrender to it.

When we practice the meditation in the Supreme Being, the mind learns how to retire its attention from the material objects, and the life acquires a new splendor when we get aware of the Divine Essence that is inside us, and guides us into the state of Blessedness.

How sweet is a fruit? There's no way to explain that appropriately, the only way of knowing that is to eat the fruit.

How good is the meditation? There's no way of knowing the taste of its fruits until we don't decide to experience it.

Karma Yoga – The Art Of Living

Sharon Hopkins 2006-02-02
Title: Karma Yoga – The Art Of Living

The ancient book of Gita, which is the treatise on the living has led a great stress on the karma. Karma is defined as the action and its fruits. Ancient Hindu saints have believed that a man’s life is the direct result of his karma. Good thoughts, words and deeds lead to good and happy life while bad thoughts, words and deeds lead a person to disaster. This has been postulated in the 18th century by Isaac Newton, who gave his law as “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

The branch of yoga that deals with karma is called as the karma yoga. Usually you are bound by the cravings and desires associated with your act but you can free yourself by doing the act but dissociating yourself from its consequences. This is the basic concept behind karma yoga and the person who follows this path is known as karma yogi. His behaviour is of indifference and while the world may think he is not interested, in reality he has mastered his desires and has developed awareness of the real significance of the events that occur around him.

This yoga involves doing your duty without any reservations but is free of the cravings of the results that are obtained from the act. This attitude is difficult to acquire because we are taught to hanker after the fruits of our labour and any failure to obtain the desired results leads you to frustration and negative thinking. Also, constant attachment to the results leads you to stress, competition and aggressiveness. This has led to increased incidences of stress, diabetes, depression, heart ailments and suicides and has led many youngsters to use drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. Hence following the teaching of Krishna in Gita, wherein he advises Arjun: “You are entitled to an action but not its fruits” will lead you to a happy and stress free life.

A karma yogi realizes this and hence he follows the path of detachment. But this does not make him dull or inefficient. On the contrary, he channelizes his entire energy into the tasks at hand with complete vigour as his energy is not dissipated and gives it a best shot. Hence the results of his actions are the best and he gets good fruits. He does not run after pleasure but pleasure follows him. This makes him a pleasant person to be around and thus enjoys success in his life.

How to Gain Business Management Success through the Law of Karma

Leon Edward 2007-04-09
Title: How to Gain Business Management Success through the Law of Karma

The idea of Karma is nothing new. It has even played a special role in the social life of people. Karma has often been described as a negative energy that will ultimately attach to anyone who has done wrong to his fellow beings. It is, however, a misunderstood concept. People must fully realize the significance of karma to make it work for them.

For instance, did you know that Karma is not just a negative mantra that you can blame your mishaps on, Karma is, in fact, a positive energy that means any energy you release ultimately returns to you in one form or another. For example, if you release positive energy, it will come back to you in the form of positive energy or positive event as well.

One thing this means is that you have to think happy thoughts if you want to be happy in life. Another way of looking at this philosophy is to wish for the success of other people so that you may be successful in what you do as well.

Anyone who knows how to use karma to his advantage can apply the rules to gain business success. If you want to succeed in managing your business endeavor, always be sincere in dealing with your customers. Always aim to give them the best products and services that you can offer.

If you honestly deal with your customers, you will reap the rewards later because the positive energy you released will come back to you in the form of business success. Think of it as planting goodwill and then sowing the benefits in the form of more business and profit. This is also practical, since people like to deal with honest and fair businessmen.

There are people who are dishonest businessmen and only think about profit and money at all costs. In the process, they forget that they also have a responsibility to their clients. In the end, they suffer the consequences of bad karma that comes from their actions. A business that is characterized by dishonesty and mischief will either not grow large or succeed, or will at first but then will ultimately fail. Customers will eventually lose trust in the company and leave to look for better products and services.

If you are in business, you have to give your clients their due. The spirit of giving results in a dynamic flow of energy, because the clients will give back what they receive from your end. It is understandable you are in business to make money. However, you must also incorporate generosity in your business dealings. Customers appreciate the honesty and good customer service. This will make them come back to you.

The law of Karma provides that you will never get what you do not desire. To get the best from your business, you have to know what you expect to reap. Make a list of your business desires and expectations and then do your part. Work hard, deliver the best products and service, and then reap the benefits of a prosperous business.

Nothing is perfect and you will always encounter something or someone that will get you down. It may be a business mistake or a business deal that has gone bad. However, never let negative events affect you and deter you from doing your business activities. You may brood for a day or a week, but eventually you have to regain your focus and move on.

It is understandable for you to have your focus on your business success, but as you do so, make sure you also ask what you can do to help your business partners and stakeholders. Think of your suppliers, vendors, partners, employees and customers. Helping your stakeholders can only give you more blessings, because if they succeed in business, you will as well. A prosperous customer will always buy from you. A successful business partner will likely pour more capital into the business.

It is also a good idea to solicit the advice of other people who are considered experts in their own fields. Surrounding yourself with success and good knowledge also helps direct good Karma your way.

Lastly, whatever business endeavor you want to go into, make sure you talk to others who have been there longer than you have. Read about the success and failures of other businesses. How did these people manage to grow big or how did they manage to do so much... You will always learn from their experiences.

The Karma Gym and Viral Smiling

Title: The Karma Gym and Viral Smiling

Hello it's Hypnotherapist Richard MacKenzie from the UK, here with another great article for you to get sunk right into and use to change your life to achieve the existence of your dreams! And remember if you like this article and it helps you, why not forward it on to friends and family members just to show them how much you care.

So today I want to talk about Karma, but not just any old Karma. I want to talk about contagious Karma! I want to cover how we as humans can become contagious with happiness, love, peace, respect, abundance and much much more.

Just do me a favour and remember those happy times from childhood. Remember the first time that you saved you pocket money to by a gift for a friend of your parents. Remember how great and exciting this new experience felt. Remember the times when you were running around in the playground or in the meadows with your friends or siblings and laughing so hard in hurt.

Even though you were having fun and you were also helping others to do the same. These me be even your earliest memories of actively flexing your 'Karma Muscles'. So I am here to tell you that by flexing you muscles today you will be having all of that fun and so much more. Especially when you think that you know more know than you knew then. You now know about some great new ways that grown-ups can have fun as well, but don't forget to release those 'child-like' qualities in you too!

Just like all that time ago you can go out and get that happiness, love, peace, respect, abundance and better still you can help others to get it too by become contagious!

Ghandi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world". So I guess the question is – Are you ready to be that change? Are you ready to become happiness, love, peace, respect, abundance? Do you really want people to treat you with happiness, love, peace, respect, abundance almost subconsciously, when they meet you? Are you ready to change your world?

Time and time again I have been told of the butterfly effect. Where a butterfly can in somewhere like London, flap its wings and create a change in the weather in somewhere like Los Angeles. Well this is the same with Karma. Just one smile in Moscow could travel through friends, family and even strangers and who knows where it will stop! When was the last time you walked down the street and a stranger smiled at you? You probably while continuing to walk down the street smiled at least one more stranger! How is this for a new disease – 'Viral Smiling'? Who knows they may have just left there offices just having read the very article that you are reading now! How cool would that be?

So what else can you do to flex your Karma Muscle apart from smiling, which is free and will cause lesser wrinkles in later life compared to frowning? Here are a few ideas of things that you can do to get that muscle pumping.

1.Donate to a charity … one you would not usually support

2.Plant a tree in your neighbourhood.

3.Yes, it's a drag, but why not put your shopping trolley back in its appointed place in the parking lot?

4.Place a coin in an expired parking meter.

5.As you go about your day, why not pick up the litter you find on the pavement?

6.Give another driver your parking spot.

7.Send a letter to a teacher you once had letting her/him know about the difference she/he made in your life.

8.Order a mail-order gift, anonymously, for a friend or someone at work who needs to be cheered up.

9.Go to a hospice or hospital ward and see what you can do for one person.

10.Slip a $10 note into the pocketbook of a needy friend (or stranger).

11.Next time you go over a toll bridge pay the toll for the car behind you and don't forget to thank the toll taker.

12.Laugh out loud often and share your smile generously.

13.If you are the boss, bring your secretary a cup of coffee in the morning.

14.If you have a person with an infirmity living near you, offer to do the grocery shopping for him or her.

But remember… The most valuable thing that you can give someone is your time. Objects can be brought, money can be earned, but time, your time can never be replaced. Just spending five or ten minutes with someone that really needs your advice, could mean the world to them. Who knows but your advice may be recycled four or five times meaning that with your initial five minute investment you could have helped a number of people thus beginning a change to your world!
