Many if not most people at one point or another call upon spiritual forces for help. This often happens when a person finds himself or herself in difficult circumstances, and calls out to the heavens in a form of desperate measure. There's nothing at all shameful or dishonorable in this, and many if not all of us have done this very thing. While we may hope for the best when we do resort to seeking spiritual intervention, in our heart of hearts we may believe that getting the intervention we hope for is a long shot at best.
Forms do exist however that take for granted that spiritual interventions can and do take place. Many organized religions believe in the notion of interaction between the spiritual realm and the physical realm where humans reside. Depending upon the religion and the circumstances, this interaction may take the form of worship, punishment, or intervention, or a combination thereof. There are also approaches to spiritual interaction that are not religious in nature and are instead based in metaphysical beliefs.
Ho'oponopono is a faith practice that assumes an interaction among physical and spiritual realms is possible and actually does occur. Ho'oponopono isn't simply based on a presumption that spiritual and physical planes may be able to interact, ho'oponopono takes it as faith that spiritual intervention will be granted when it is requested. The idea of intervention from the spiritual realm whenever one requests it quite naturally doesn't resonate with everybody. Ho'oponopono has its skeptics and there are a number of them, but the practitioners of ho'oponopono, as one might imagine, aren't dissuaded from their beliefs because of skeptics.
Ho'oponopono actually has two known forms: traditional ho'oponopono and Self-Identity ho'oponopono. Self-Identity ho'oponopono is an offshoot of traditional ho'oponopono but reduced in scope to make individual application of the ho'oponopono form possible. Traditional ho'oponopono typically dealt with an entire group of people, all of whom had to be accounted for and given consideration. Self-Identity ho'oponopono allows for a single person to use the form. Where traditional ho'oponopono focused on interaction between people with differing perspectives, Self-Identity ho'oponopono takes place only between one person and what's referred to as the higher source power, or God.
Either form of ho'oponopono can be considered a problem solving technique, but Self-Identity ho'oponopono really does go beyond simple problem solving and takes into account spiritual connections and spiritual intervention. Self-Identity ho'oponopono is not a religious form, but it does place emphasis on some classic religious perspectives, in particular an interaction with a higher source power.

Title: What Is Spiritual Wisdom
|
|
I have over 15,000 pages of "spiritual wisdom" on my main web site. The title of my web site is "Spiritual New Age Wisdom, but it never occurred to me to write about what "spiritual wisdom" is, until I received a posting in my guest book asking about it. Wisdom is knowledge applied, so "spiritual wisdom" is spirituality applied; it is that simple. New Age Spiritual Wisdom is the knowledge of New Age spirituality applied to your everyday physical life. Spirit is what you are naturally, so everything that you do is spiritual. Because being spirit is natural, when spiritual attributes are applied to your everyday life, your life becomes less of a struggle, and there is a natural tendency for your life to flow easily because you are in harmony with spirit. When you add your conscious thoughts to your spirituality, the purpose of your physical life becomes vague and chaotic. The farther you move away from your true nature (which is spiritual) the more difficult it is to return to it because you become brain washed. As you move away from your childhood and start to believe all the things your parents and your elders tell you about life, and how yours is supposed to be lived, the less spiritually motivated you become. You start to live your life for others and in a way that is acceptable to them, and you loose site of your purpose and why you decided to become physical. The farther you move away from your childhood the more difficult it is to apply spiritual attributes to your life, and the natural ability to consciously alter what you are or will experience. Because you are life itself as well as the creator of it, you have all the attributes of a creator. The more you accept the misinformation or disinformation of your parents or elders, the less your ability to use your power. After years of believing what they tell you, you become impotent and mortal. However, the good news is that you can get it all back, unfortunately for most of us; it becomes a major struggle with our old beliefs about why we cannot. The older you get and the more entrenched the misinformation, the more difficult your spiritual quest will be. You can have it all back in a heart beat if you can let go of your physical thoughts and accept your true nature as your new reality; but that is easier said than done. Experience has taught me that it is another lifetime or several before that transformation can happen. The idea of acceptance is easy; its practice however, is most difficult. It is a lot of work and energy finding your way back and the harder you try, the farther away you move. If you are lucky enough to have parents who are wise in spiritual matters and they allow you to maintain your natural awareness and develop it, the powers will stay with you and are accessible for the rest of your life. If you are fortunate enough to be reading this and are intuitive or intelligent enough to understand, you work will be less if you are critical about the information that is given you. People will always try to disempower you, with this awareness comes your best defense. They cannot take away your power unless you let them - unless you believe that you do not have it. Parents want the best for their children, but the struggle for spiritual awareness or wisdom should be the parents' not the children. It is difficult to let go and allow a child to find their own way. We want to guide them and protect them and that desire is inherited in every parent, but every child must choose, or suffer a life unfulfilled. As parents we tell ourselves and others that we want more for our children, yet we give them the same misinformation given to us, that will guide them to less. Of course when we say this, we are thinking of material things once again ignoring their spiritual purpose for being physical. Loving our children unconditionally and knowing that they have a purpose will allow the freedom for them to follow their destiny - again, easy to say, not so easy to do. The world is the way it is because we have stifled our spirituality and replaced it with boxed religions which do not want us to use our power. We have allowed fear to replace love and freedom to evolve into the greater human that we are so capable of. Spiritual wisdom would bring back life into our physical experience. Spiritual wisdom would encourage diversity, not assimilation. Life must move in all directions before it can know itself as complete. There is no life if we all believe in the same things. Acknowledgement of our differences is acknowledgement of life in all its expressions, none better or worse than the other. Spiritual Wisdom is your awareness expressed in the best possible physical manifestation of your own thoughts. Be true to your own wisdom. Roy E. Title: Daily Spiritual Practice: The Foundation for Your Breakthrough to Personal and Professional Develop
|

Down through the ages, great thinkers, inventors, artists, statesman and philosophers have credited their spiritual connections for their successes. If this seems like a strange place to begin, you may be wondering what this has to do with our topic of success and life mastery. Daily spiritual practice is the foundation everything else builds upon to create an abundant life. In studying the professional development of many of the wealthiest and most empowered millionaires, I found the majority of them start their day with an hour of spiritually oriented reading and meditation. Yes, I said an hour. Lynn Pierce, the Success Architect, has taught people how to combine business and personal development to reach the pinnacle of success and live the life of their dreams for over 25 years. In addition, she is also the founder of one of the most exciting annual events for women entrepreneurs, ³Women¹s Business Empowerment Summit². Now she shares her keys to success and life mastery with you. You can get the first five lessons of "Change One Thing, Change Your Life: A Personal Transformation System" for free at www.YourBreakthroughToSuccess.com <<a href="http://www.YourBreakthroughToSuccess.com>">http://www.YourBreakthroughToSuccess.com> /a> It seems like a lot of time for a busy successful person, but the consensus of the truly successful is that taking this time is what sets the tone for the day and gives them the energy they need for an incredibly busy life. If you normally work a 40-hour week, you’ve just added the equivalent of nine weeks to your year, devoted totally to your personal and professional development. And you thought you didn’t have time for personal growth or professional development in your life! Let me explain what I, as a personal development mentor, term an empowered millionaire. They are different from other millionaires whose main focus may be on accumulating money. Empowered millionaires are what I consider to be truly successful people. Empowered millionaires have a life purpose that serves others. This purpose is bigger than they are. Oprah is a great example of an empowered millionaire, as is Bill Gates. Both of these incredibly wealthy people could be living a life of luxury, hording all their money and never working another day in their lives. Yet they are working overtime as philanthropists, helping to make the world a better place. My point is, that despite their busy schedules, they research and travel and work personally to improve the lives of as many people as possible. That, to me, makes both Bill Gates and Oprah great examples of empowered, spiritually motivated super successful people. Through their service to the world, spiritually based successful people have become wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. These multi-millionaires and billionaires work harder than most people I know, when they really don’t need to work at all. Think about all the other examples of people you know who demonstrate their spirituality by freely sharing their knowledge, their money, or both with the world to make it a better place for everyone. These are the people who are truly making a difference in the world. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for their willingness to come forward and lead. They make things happen not just for profit, but because it’s the right thing to do. The energy to take on the work they do comes from the foundation of their daily spiritual practice. Would you like to be incredibly wealthy, full of energy and purpose, living a life that makes you outrageously happy? Would it be worth getting up a little earlier or missing the first half hour of the news in the morning? If you don’t already have everything you want, I challenge you as your personal development mentor, to ask yourself …“How much effort is the life of my dreams worth to me?” You may not see the full connections yet, but daily spiritual practice is the foundation for your breakthrough personal and professional development. Title: Spiritual books, New Age Parapsychology, Metaphysical and Mind Body Spirit books
|
|
Many people believe that new age books are different from spiritual books, even though there are so many books available that are described as new age spiritual books. If we look at the terms new age and spiritual, we find similarities, where spiritual refers to soul or spirit and new age has been described as 'of or relating to spiritual and consciousness raising movements'. New age books encompass health, medicine, philosophy, religion and the occult. And yet, the term new age was only coined in recent decades, mainly from the 1970's. So that begs the question - is there such a thing as a New Age? Many so-called new age books (and spiritual books) that have been written over these past few decades are emphatic that we are indeed in a new age spiritual era that is NEW in every aspect to what has come before. However, researching older spiritual books and philosophy books shows that humankind has passed through eras of high enlightenment before - inspirational times of metaphysical and spiritual awareness that equals or surpasses our current times. So is this perhaps not a new age as such, but simply a remembering of metaphysical, esoteric, inspirational parapsychology and spiritual powers that all of us possess but have temporarily forgotten. If this be the case, then perhaps a more apt term would be Mind Body Spirit. Which brings us to another so-called new age term ... parapsychology. New age parapsychology is the study of paranormal phenomena and the term parapsychology comes from the Greek para 'beside, beyond' and psychology, derived from the Greek psyche 'soul, mind'. So, here we are back to the spiritual again or, as mentioned above, Mind Body Spirit. And yet, some people still insist that spiritual books, new age books and new age parapsychology are totally separate themes. Perhaps that's why more and more people are coining the phrase Mind Body Spirit in an attempt to mold these various terms into a more unified category. If we look more closely at the core messages in the various spiritual books, new age books, metaphysical, esoteric, parapsychology, philosophy and even self improvement books, we often find similarities that are sometimes veiled in different terms that could all be better described as Mind Body Spirit. Yes, even philosophy books, which are essentially the belief or system of beliefs accepted as an authoritative account by a group or philosophy school, have similarities to each other and also to the more recent spiritual new age parapsychology and metaphysical esoteric books. The various philosophy books available today, which are scriptures handed down over many centuries that are the core beliefs of the world's many religions, also have strong similarities in the original message, although the interpretation of these books over the ages has led to contrasting viewpoints. Considering the strife that such opposing views of philosophy books over the ages has caused, perhaps this new age of parapsychology, with its metaphysical, esoteric and spiritual messages and books will help break down these old belief systems that have divided humanity for so long, particularly when unified under the more acceptable catch-phrase of Mind Body Spirit. The proliferation of self improvement books alone has brought a spiritual awareness to thousands, if not millions, who seek to grow through better knowing themselves. Old philosophy books are being rewritten in more spiritual new age terminology and marketed under various terms, not only new age and spiritual, but also metaphysical books, esoteric books, new age parapsychology, inspirational books, self improvement and even philosophy books. An increasing number of these books are being grouped, on websites and also in physical bookstores, under the Mind Body Spirit label. The overriding influence of these books is inspirational, encouraging readers to delve deeper into themselves to discover their true spiritual nature and it is encouraging to see so many spiritual new age parapsychology (Mind Body Spirit) books coming out in increasing numbers each year. Two such books are listed on http://www.1-inspirational-quote-book.com/ although many readers place them into various categories. They are a mixture of metaphysical, spiritual, esoteric and self improvement books, even though they are based in a sci-fi theme. Above all, they are inspirational, told from the viewpoint of an extra-terrestrial race of Beings who are concerned about the direction we are taking. Regardless of the various viewpoints, they will easily fall into the more generalized Mind Body Spirit category and, overall, the feedback from readers has been fantastic, many of them describing the books as 'inspirational and thought provoking'. As one reader wrote 'The story slowly engulfed me, drew me in until I was on my own journey. It opened my mind, enticing me to read more. I ask, is this just a novel or a key to our future...?' Born November 30 in New Zealand, Gau-Ghan shares the same birthday as Mark Twain. And likewise, avid readers will stick with Gau-Ghan like paint to the picket fence in Huckleberry Finn. His books on new age parapsychology and spirituality will challenge your view on life.

Title: What Does it Mean to be Spiritual?
|
|
You go to church every Sunday and you say your prayers every day. Does this mean you are a spiritual person? No. You practice yoga and meditate every day. Does this mean you are a spiritual person? No. You belong to spiritual group and are devoted to following the teachings of the group. Does this mean you are a spiritual person? No. What, then, does it mean to be a spiritual person? Being a spiritual person is synonymous with being a person whose highest priority is to be loving to oneself and others. A spiritual person cares about people, animals, and the planet. A spiritual person knows that we are all one, and consciously attempts to honor this oneness. A spiritual person is a kind person. So, you can go to church every Sunday and say your prayers every day, without caring about loving yourself, others and the planet. You can practice yoga and meditate every day without being conscious of what is loving and what is not loving in your thoughts and actions. You can belong to a spiritual group and devotedly follow the teachings, yet still be judgmental toward yourself and others in your daily life. There are many people who do not practice a religion, who do not meditate, pray or belong to any group, who are very spiritual people. These people naturally do caring things for others. They think about how they can help. Their thoughts are kind rather than judgmental toward themselves and toward others. When you look at them, you see their kindness in their eyes. There are many religious people who are anything but kind. We all know of religious people who are extremely judgmental, righteous, and outright mean. Can you be both religious and spiritual? Of course! But only when you are operating in your religion from your heart rather than from the learned dogma of your mind. Years ago I very briefly attended a "spiritual" group. People would meet in an auditorium to hear the leader of the group speak. The second time I attended I heard a number of parents yelling at their children and judging them to try to control them. These parents were being anything but kind with their children. That was the last time I attended the spiritual group. The focus of the group was surrender to God, but love was rarely in the picture! They obviously had a very different experience of God than I did. My experience of God is that God is the energy of Love that created us and sustains us. In my experience, “God is Spirit" (John 4:24) and “God is love" (1 John 4:16). Anything that is not of love, peace, joy, truth and kindness is not of God. Praying to God does not mean that you are allowing the spirit that is God - the love, peace, joy, truth and kindness that is God - to guide your thoughts and actions. Practicing yoga or meditating does not mean that you have invited the love that is God into your heart, or that you are turning to that ever-present love to learn about what is in your highest good, and the highest good of others and the planet. If you want to be a spiritual person, then let kindness be your guiding light - kindness toward yourself, toward others, toward animals, and toward this beautiful planet that is our home. Recognize that we all have the spark of love that is God within us, and learn to honor that love so that you can know and experience the Oneness of all that is. Title: The Return Of The Spiritual Warrior
|
|
The Definition of Spiritual is a person concerned with or affecting the spirit or soul; "a spiritual approach to life"; "spiritual fulfillment"; "spiritual values"; "unearthly love" The Definition of Warrior is 'someone engaged in or experienced in warfare' So the true Definition of a Spiritual Warrior is someone who has declared a personal war for Spiritual values and Love. By declaring war, I don't mean in the external world. The Spiritual Warrior fights his/her battles on the inside, unless there is a true need to go externally and then it is done with true love and strategy. The Spirituality of the Warrior resides in each and everyone of us, we all have the knowledge and the power of the ancient Spiritual Warriors. The time is coming when we can no longer sit back and watch, the destruction on this planet is progressing at a faster and faster pace. The cogs of Control and Manipulation are turning faster and faster. It is not the place of the Spiritual Warrior to fight violence with violence, the power of the Warrior lies in his/her warmth and subtle power. The systems of control and it's fat controllers can't overcome the subtle power of a population of a Town, City or Village who has come to the realisation that they have immense power and that there is nothing that they can't change. The true warrior does not blame others for what is happening in this world, he/she knows that he/she is responsible for reality that he/she manifests. What is seen everyday on TV and in the other media is the direct result of the individual denying their part of the destruction and rape of this planet and it's children. Isn't it time that you stopped playing victim? How many more children have to die, how many more women have to be raped? If you don't have the courage to change this world, then who does? I know it's scary, infact it is utterly terrifying. The thought of watching the news and seeing another child missing their limbs, lying face down in the dirt, and then to realise that YOU have a part to play in their death is a very bitter pill to swallow. Please I beg you, don't wait till tomorrow to act. Deep down inside you know what needs to be done.

Title: Spiritual Connections
|
|
The idea of calling out to a spiritual force or spiritual forces is a familiar notion. Virtually every person at one time or other has made a plea to an unseen spiritual force or forces for intervention, particularly in times of high stress. This isn't something that should be seen as weak or an act of hypocrisy but instead is an honest response to difficulty. Still, it's likely that most of us typically don't expect our calls for spiritual help to actually be answered. There are however approaches that not only believe spiritual intervention is possible, but expect spiritual intervention to take place. Many organized religions believe in the notion of interaction between the spiritual realm and the physical realm where humans reside. It varies according to a particular religion and specific circumstances, but this interaction may be made up of worshipping, punitive measures, intervention, or some combination of the three. Naturally, this idea of getting spiritual intervention consistently by simply asking for it doesn't sit well with everyone. There are certainly skeptics of the ho'oponopono form, but those who consistently practice ho'oponopono aren't often moved from their beliefs by skeptics. Self-Identity ho'oponopono is not a religious form, but it does place emphasis on some classic religious perspectives, in particular an interaction with a higher source power.

Title: The Transformation Of Spiritual Consciousness
|
|
This new time in the history of planet Earth is creating a transformation of spiritual consciousness that is a quantum evolutionary leap for all of humanity. In times past, spiritual pursuits, spiritual awareness and spiritual growth we largely separate from the pursuits of ordinary life. In more recent times, spiritual growth has been seen as a path to bring greater healing, and greater ease in one's physical life. These views of spirituality were partial, related to steps in a process that humanity's consciousness has been involved with, and now a new and expanded view of spirituality is emerging.
Initially, human souls existed as the Oneness of spirit, and as the process of physical incarnation developed, souls descended more and more completely into the experience of physically manifest reality, which at that time required a separation from the world of spirit. This separation was necessary for a time, so that souls could experience the fullness of individuality and the complete immersion in physical manifestation.
Within this current time period, this cycle of complete immersion reached its zenith. Humanity went as far as we could in exploring the many myriad ways of expressing individuality within physical form. The cycle has begun to shift now, as the spiritual evolution of the Earth has progressed into a vibration that is manifesting more light. The increased presence of God's light on the Earth is accelerating humanity's transformational process, speeding up both external events and internal shifts in consciousness.
Dearest ones, there is emerging now in the consciousness of humanity a growing awareness of the Oneness of all of life, and a need to come together and create unity in ways that have never before been seen on the Earth. This need comes both as the result of the current global crises, which require concerted effort on the part of all people, and also as the result of the spiritual evolutionary process which seeks to move into the next level of growth and awareness, embracing both the full individuality and uniqueness of each soul, and also the unity and Oneness of all souls and all embodied life.
In the new times that are arriving, spirituality will be understood not as separate from physical life, but as the foundation, essence and core of physical life. Spirituality will not be an "extra' pursuit that people pursue as recreation, or solely as the means to help deal with challenging life circumstances; it will become an essential component of all choices, activities and directions that are taken.
Changes are happening even now, to the Earth and to our physical bodies, that will make possible a much more integrated, harmonious and peaceful way of life. These changes may not be immediately apparent to us on a conscious level, as there is so much purification and transformation happening in our daily lives that much of our attention is focused on simply getting through each day, and in dealing with the hefty challenges before us. You may be able to perceive these changes through your dreams, or through the quiet whisperings of your intuition, that speak of the new times that are ahead.
It is important to understand that times of massive change also bring many challenges, and emotions of fear, uncertainty, and a feeling of being lost and without a sense of security. Now is the time to create within yourself an inner connection with your own soul essence and spiritual center. There are many ways to create this connection, through prayer, meditation, spiritual practice, yoga, dance, authentic movement, art, music and so on. It is your inner longing and request to be more connected with your inner being that will activate this movement. Then, you will begin to be drawn to people, practices and methods that will help you to deepen this inner connection.
God answers all souls' prayers and all souls' desires to return home to the center of spiritual beingness. Your prayers and intentions will activate new paths, new directions and new ways of seeing, feeling, understanding, and relating to yourself, to others and to all of life. Now is the time when so much is possible for us all, to enter fully and completely into the divine spiritual manifestation of our soul's essence, both individually and collectively. Allow yourself to listen deeply to the deepest whispers of your hearts calling, and to follow the truth of your inner being. In this way you will create a new life for yourself, and in doing so you contribute to creating a new and brighter future for us all.

Title: Spiritual Research on the Spiritual Life of Nostradamus
|
|
This article provides a spiritual perspective on the life of the famous seer Nostradamus. Spiritual research has shown that the spiritual purpose of his life was to overcome his attachment to supernatural powers that he had gained through many lifetimes of spiritual practice. Due to a desire for fame and an intense fascination for his supernatural powers, he lost track of the spiritual purpose of his life on Earth.
Michel de Nostredame (1503 – 66), popularly known as Nostradamus, was one of the world's most famous seers. His prophecies, 500 years into his future and into our current times have captivated the whole world. The Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) conducted spiritual research on the spiritual life of Nostradamus that contributed to his extraordinary gift. The contents of this article have been obtained through the medium of an advanced sixth sense (ESP).
In all cases where a person has psychic abilities or is able to look into the future, it is generally a gift due to past-birth spiritual practice. How we use this gift can influence our spiritual journey and the region we go to after death.
Spiritual research on the reasons for Nostradamus’ gift
Before his life on Earth, he had done spiritual practice in the subtle region of Heaven (Swargaloka). Because of this spiritual practice, Nostradamus obtained two types of supernatural powers:
1. Supernatural power of vision i.e. he could see visions of what was to happen in the future.
2. Supernatural power of speech i.e. he could verbalise what was seen or heard through the subtle and it would come true.
Spiritual research on the reason for Nostradamus’ birth
People who have supernatural powers generally tend to use them for worldly reasons either for self or for society. According to Spiritual science, use of supernatural powers to orchestrate any fulfilment of worldly desires for people or to gain popularity can have negative effects on the person’s spiritual growth. It is for this reason that people who have supernatural powers are advised to use their powers for their further spiritual practice towards God-realisation and only under the guidance of a spiritually evolved guide (Guru). A Guru directs the student to utilise his spiritual powers towards realising God.
Nostradamus had to be born on Earth to rid himself of the sway/hold that his supernatural powers had over him. His spiritual goal was to obtain guidance about practicing Spirituality to continue his onward spiritual journey into the further positive regions.
Spiritual research on the life of Nostradamus from a spiritual perspective
Through the medium of his supernatural powers, Nostradamus made many accurate predictions. Many times, he would clearly hear or see the future through the medium of sound or visions. In the beginning of his career, three divine beings from the higher subtle regions would guide him. They did this through the medium of Nostradamus’ supernatural power of vision.
Over the years, Nostradamus became over ambitious and invested a lot of time in his gift of seeing the future. He would receive prior intimation of many events through his divine supernatural powers. As he would disclose what he saw, people would come to know of future perils and take measures to protect themselves against them. This infuriated the ghosts, as their plans to create problems for people would be foiled.
Spiritual research indicates that his personal life was steeped in internal sorrow, which the people around him may not have been aware of. In the beginning, by virtue of his supernatural power of vision, Nostradamus would receive knowledge through visions/scenes. Over time, he got carried away with his fame and the accolades of people.
This defect in his personality weakened him spiritually. Nostradamus used his wilful action (free will) to get further entrenched in his fascination for supernatural powers and his fame. As a result, he deprived himself of further spiritual practice on Earth. The effect of ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies etc.) only made matters worse. Slowly the stores of his spiritual practice from his previous lifetimes were depleted. In short, instead of using his time on Earth to do spiritual practice and attain a higher positive region, he regressed from the subtle region of Heaven to the subtle region of the Nether world after his life on Earth.

Spiritual healing is an important science that helps people to overcome problems that have their root cause in the spiritual realm. However unless the principles of this subtle science are understood and adhered to, spiritual healers can be negatively impacted by practicing spiritual healing. The most sustainable form of spiritual healing is enabling the person in trouble to begin and continue their spiritual practice.
1. What is Spiritual Healing?
Spiritual research done by Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) has shown that up to 80% of problems in our lives have their root in the spiritual dimension. Spiritual healing as defined by SSRF is overcoming the spiritual root causes of problems by spiritual means.
2. Difference between symptoms displayed and the root cause
It is important to differentiate the symptoms displayed by a person and the basic root cause. We can better understand this by an example.
Let’s say John throws a bucket of water on the floor in Jane’s room when she is not there. He then hides himself to watch Jane’s reaction on her return. When Jane enters the room she searches high and low for the cause but cannot find the reason for the water on the floor. She then goes on to wipe the floor. John lets out an evil chuckle under his breath at Jane’s plight and ignorance about the root cause.
This is a typical analogy of how a spiritual reason such as an attack by a ghost (John) can cause a problem in life such as a heart condition (i.e. the water on the floor). Due to the fact that we do not have the sixth sense vision to see or perceive the ghost, our search for the cause of, for example, the chest pain remains limited only to the physical or psychological dimension.
3. What does Spiritual Healing heal?
We can now appreciate that in cases of heart disease resulting from a spiritual root cause, medical or surgical treatment can only alleviate the consequent damage done by the spiritual root cause. Thus by treating the heart condition by surgery or medicine, medical sciences can at best bring about a symptomatic cure. The condition however reoccurs as the root cause, for example, the ghost, is not taken care of.
Spiritual healing is about diagnosis and removal of the spiritual root cause of the problem, that is, the ghost in the above example of heart disease. It could also be used for stopping a potential problem happening in the first place.
Though advanced spiritual healing remedies can also revert the physical damage done, in most cases it is advisable to use physical measures (treatment) to alleviate the physical damage (i.e. the water in our example above). This is because one would have to use a lot of spiritual energy to achieve what can be done with comparatively lower input at a physical level. This is considering that spiritual energy is invaluable and extremely difficult to acquire compared to any physical effort.
It is for this reason that the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) emphasises that only the appropriate level of energy be used for treating a problem. So for example, if a person is having eczema due to a spiritual root cause, it needs to be treated at a physical level with medicines and the spiritual root cause needs to be alleviated by spiritual remedies.
4. Basic principles behind spiritual healing
a. Principle behind diagnosis
Diagnosis of a problem that has its root cause in the spiritual realm can only be done with one’s sixth sense (ESP). The accuracy of a diagnosis can vary considerably and is a function of 2 basic factors:
• The person’s sixth sense (ESP) ability and spiritual level versus the strength of the affecting entity or ghost (demon, devil, spirit, etc.)
• Destiny that decides the duration of sufferings
• Resolve of the guiding Saint of the spiritual healer
b. Principle behind any type of spiritual healing
The following is the principle behind any type of spiritual healing treatment practiced anywhere in the world.
Basically by applying spiritual healing remedies we try to:
• Decrease the subtle basic raja-tama components caused by the ghosts
• Increase the subtle basic sattva component
• Try to remove or at least decrease the layer of black energy created by ghosts which is inherently raja-tama.
• (Sattva (purity, Divinity), raja (action, passion) and tama (ignorance, inertia) are basic subtle components entire Creation is made of and which modern sciences have not yet ‘discovered’)
5. Generic types of spiritual healing methods
There are two generic methods of spiritual healing. These are the two choices that apply to all of us who have a problem that has its root cause in the spiritual realm.
1. Spiritual remedies: This is where either someone else or the affected person himself performs a certain specific act to alleviate a certain problem at a spiritual level.
2. Spiritual practice: When a person does spiritual practice that conforms to the five basic principles of spiritual practice he builds his own ability to protect himself against harmful elements in the spiritual dimension.
The first method of healing mostly brings about symptomatic cure and sometimes cure of the spiritual root cause, while the second brings about cure of the root cause of a spiritual problem.
6. Modes of spiritual healing
The energy being channelised for healing is brought about through:
1. Use of an inanimate object such as holy water or holy ash.
2. Through a person
o Through a person (generally the person has to be above 50% spiritual level)
o Through a Saint i.e. a person above the 70% spiritual level.
o (Here spiritual level is defined on a scale from 0% to 100% where inanimate objects would be at 0% and a God Realised Soul, i.e. someone Who has merged with God Principle, would be at 100%)
Depending on the mode used, the mechanism of action, i.e. how energy is channelised, changes.
7. Importance of spiritual level of the healer in treating others
The spiritual level of spiritual healers is the all important aspect which defines:
• How they are able to treat others
• What healing methods they can use and
• The types of Universal energies they have access to
8. Types of healing
Examples of various spiritual healing techniques that are commonly used to heal others can be:
• Chanting the Lord’s name: Chanting for others is possible only when one is at the minimum spiritual level of 37% and is the easiest way to help another person.
• Prayers and surrender: When we pray we acknowledge our lack of ability to solve a problem. This surrender of the problem also helps in reducing our ego and therefore a temporary rise in spiritual level. As a result, we are able to access energy of the mind which sends energy behind our prayer for others. Hence our prayers to heal others work.
• Other Spiritual healing techniques: Spiritual healing techniques such as Pranic healing and Reiki actually use the energy of the mind augmented by the Universal Energy of Will. This type of spiritual healing can only be done by a person around the 50% spiritual level. They do not access any universal vital energy. Vital energy only exists at an individual level and not at a Universal level. When one has access to energy of the mind one is able to control the vital energy in the vital body.
A person who is below the spiritual level of 50% technically cannot heal using these methods. This is because they do not have enough access to Universal energies. In case where a person below the spiritual level of 50% is able to do seemingly miraculous cures by Pranic healing or Reiki, invariably it is ghosts healing through them. Ghosts use these healers to affect society. While there may be temporary relief or miraculous cure from a problem, ghosts use the faith people have in the healer to infuse people with black energy and lead people astray.
9. What is the catalyst to channelise spiritual energies?
The main deciding factor as to whether a person has the ability to heal is based on the amount of spiritual practice he/she has done and the corresponding spiritual level. This spiritual practice can either be of this lifetime or a previous lifetime.
The healer’s desire to heal is a secondary factor that helps hone a spiritual healer’s ability to heal.
10. How will one know if one needs spiritual healing at all?
Spiritual research conducted by the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) over the past 20 years has revealed that 80% of problems in life have their root cause in the spiritual dimension. Thus these problems can be overcome completely only by complementing worldly efforts with remedies in the spiritual dimension. This explains the overwhelming importance of spiritual healing in solving problems in one’s life.
It is difficult to decide with the help of intellect whether one needs to augment spiritual practice with other spiritual remedies. Only Saints and people with strong extrasensory perception (ESP) or sixth sense can really say with authority whether a spiritual healing remedy is needed because only they can diagnose whether the problem has a spiritual root cause.
However one can also make a decision based on their intellect if the following are observed:
• Problems that do not go away despite best of worldly efforts.
• Chronic or recurrent problems with no apparent cause.
• Problems affecting many people in a family simultaneously.
• Problems that exacerbate around new moon and full moon.
• Problems that are alleviated at least partially when the affected person is exposed to a spiritually positive environment like being in company of Saints.
So in summary it is advisable to do spiritual practice, a type of spiritual remedy, on a daily basis.
11. Can harm come to one in anyway, if spiritual healing is done incorrectly?
The short answer is - yes. Following are some of the ways it can be harmful:
Healers that are after fame and fortune and of lower spiritual level are most likely to be targeted by ghosts. Higher level ghosts use these defects and attachments in the spiritual healer to affect and possess them. The possession is insidious and intangible and the healer would not have the faintest clue that he is being controlled by a ghost. Hence it goes unnoticed. Once they have possessed the healer, they initially alleviate symptoms of the persons treated by the healer through their spiritual strength to get their faith but also to infuse black energy into the treated persons.
If the healer does not have an advanced sixth sense he may not be able to discern the difference between positive and negative in the subtle world. Hence while the healer may think he is channelising energy from spirit guides he is actually healing with black energy of ghosts posing as spirit guides. So even though the initial symptoms may be cured to gain the patient's faith, the long term effects are quite damaging.
12. Who should we heal and when should we heal?
At the outset we need to understand two important principles.
• The best type of spiritual healing is when a person does spiritual practice for oneself. In this way, one builds up one's own spiritual reserves so that he is less prone to attack from the spiritual dimension. Doing regular spiritual practice is also far more sustainable as a protective measure than being spiritually healed using some form of spiritual healing. As much as possible spiritual healers need to encourage people to begin and be regular with their spiritual practice, even if they continue to come for healing. Spiritual practice complements the spiritual healer's efforts in removing the problem.
• Spiritual growth to realise God is our main purpose in life. Accordingly if all our actions, spiritual healing or otherwise are aligned to assist ourselves and others to progress spiritually we benefit maximally.
Given the above, spiritual healers' time and energy is best spent when they help other people to overcome any spiritual obstacles that are inhibiting them from practising Spirituality. In this way they are helping people grow spiritually. From a purely spiritual perspective, it is best that one does not use spiritual healing energy on people that have no intention of starting spiritual practice. The reason for this is that unless a person does spiritual practice to augment the spiritual healing, it at best brings about temporary relief as the affecting entity can cause harm in other areas of life or the person can be affected repeatedly by other entities. Spiritual healers have access to Universal energy appropriate to their spiritual level. Along with this comes a responsibility to help people to grow spiritually which is being in alignment with our purpose of life. If this is not the case a spiritual healer begins to stagnate and invariably deteriorates in his spiritual level and can potentially be used by ghosts.
It is advisable not to get emotionally carried away healing people just for the sake of healing. If it is in a person’s destiny to go through a certain amount of suffering then all we do is alleviate it temporarily. But the person still has to go through the required quota of suffering. Instead, it would be spiritually more correct if our intention was to heal a person so he gets the faith that the spiritual dimension does exist and this in turn inspires him to begin his spiritual practice.
In summary
Spiritual healing is practised by many people worldwide. Only by understanding the principles and the spiritual perspective on ‘who’ and ‘when’ to heal can we be sure to be in alignment with the purpose of life. The best spiritual healing gift that one can give others is assisting them in beginning their spiritual practice so that they can help themselves. This is akin to giving a person a fishing rod and making him independent as opposed to spoon-feeding him and giving him a fish.
