How to Upgrade Coins Cheaply

Muna wa Wanjiru 2008-02-22
Title: How to Upgrade Coins Cheaply

One good way of developing your coin collection into something more than mediocre is to upgrade coins or replace your coins from time to time. First find the coins you need to fill your collection and then upgrade them. This works very well for the inexpensive coins, but for the more expensive coins, I would suggest not replacing as many times.

In other words get the coin you want but make sure that you get it in a suitably high grade so that you won’t bring down the value of the whole set. Then when you come across another coin which can upgrade the one you already have, go for it.

With expensive coins, it’s pointless going in like a bull in a china shop and buying a coin simply because you need it for your collection. Sure you can upgrade coins later like I mentioned, but that will be added cost for you.

So wait until you can at least get your hands on something that’s value for money and upgrade coins thereafter as you see fit. Not because you need to because you started off with an inferior coin to begin with.

Another good practice is to upgrade coins that are your key coins only, and stick with okay to alright coins for the others.

In any set there’s bound to be one or two coins which are rarer and more expensive than the others. If you shell out and upgrade coins to the best available, and keep the others in the set at a respectable level, the value on your set will indeed rise.

3 Reasons to Upgrade Your Game System

Chirs Young 2008-02-18
Title: 3 Reasons to Upgrade Your Game System
It seems that new games are coming out on a continual basis. Many of us enjoy our old favorites and continue to play them for many years. While we may anticipate the arrival of an updated version of the game, we still continue to play the ones that we have enjoyed for a very long time.

There are times, however, that we may want to upgrade our game system so that we are able to play new games that have become available. Here are three reasons why you would want to upgrade your game system and how to upgrade it without spending an arm and a leg.

The first reason is probably the most important. If you really love games, you know that there are times that new games come out that are not compatible with your old game system.

A perfect example of this would be the new version of Ratchet and Clank that is played on the PlayStation. If anybody loves this game, they will have to buy the newest PlayStation system in order to play it. If they aren't willing to do that, they'll just have to continue to play the older versions.

Better graphics also come with newer game systems. It's no secret that the reason that they keep coming out with new game systems is because the technology is increasing. It's a perfect way to be able to continue to charge large amounts of money to people who enjoy playing games. They will also make the individual games themselves so that they are not reverse compatible with older systems because of the advanced graphics. If you want the latest and best looking games that are available, you're going to have to purchase a new game system.

Online gameplay is also an important part of the new game systems that are coming out. Even though the previous game systems were able to play online, there is much more technology that is available now than there was a couple years ago. High-speed Internet access is available in millions of homes across the UK and around the world so if you want to have some real-time action online, you'll have to purchase a new game system.

Just because a new game system comes out every couple of years doesn't mean that you need to be set back hundreds or thousands of dollars by buying them all. Whenever the initial buying frenzy calms down, you can certainly purchase one of these game systems, either new or used on eBay for a discount price. Don't ever pay full price for a game system in the store. Keep your eye on the online auction site and you will certainly save yourself a lot of money in the long run. Chris Young loves gaming and and does his best to keep up with New Games System. Click on the link to find out where he buys most of his games, consoles and accessories

Cell Phone - Why Should I Upgrade

Declan Tobin 2006-03-05
Title: Cell Phone - Why Should I Upgrade
We hear from friends or just general chat by people wanting to upgrade their cell phones. There are a number of very good reasons to upgrade but unfortunately the main reason people upgrade and without thinking is because the cell phone manufacturers are blitzing us with advertising on a daily basis with new features. I bet you can pinpoint a few friends who have new cell phones and have no idea as to how to go about using all the key features.

Upgrading your cellular phone needs some careful thinking. Many of us upgrade for fashion purposes to keep up with modern looks, understandable if you have a cell phone from the early years you might want something a little more portable and flexible in use.

Upgrading still costs money so choose wisely. There are many different upgrade options today such as Camera cell phones; PDA Cell Phones, GPS Cell phones and now we have the new line of 3G cell phones available. Honestly the best place to choose a cell phone is on the Internet, it’s your decision and not the sale rep at some store twisting your arm for a sale and blinding you with useless information.

You need to know the differences and the different functionality of the cell phones before you just go ahead and upgrade. By doing a little research you get to choose exactly what fits your needs and budget. GPS phones (Global Positioning Satellite) are widely used by people with a love for climbing or adventure walking in remote regions.

GPS phones can be pinpointed to a pacific area should you be lost or in need of assistance, long distance drivers and employers also find good use for these phones. Employers can trace the whereabouts of employees or the phones themselves if lost or stolen.

PDA phones are ideal for people who like using pocket organisers. These phones are expensive but have similar functionality to that of a PC, ideal for office workers or sales reps.

Camera phones are self explanatory, simply a phone that can take photos. There is more to camera cell phones but in a nut shell that’s what they do. They are classed more of a fun phone to have and prove very popular among all age groups. Once you have an idea of what the different phones do and can’t do you are better placed to come up with an upgrade decision.

Flip phones are very popular at the moment, these are the phones with the pop up screen, they are available in Camera, PDA and GPS format but be aware they are not for everyone, I personally do not find them very user friendly but that’s my opinion, I like to just answer the incoming call without messing around with the phone.

The phones on today’s market a very light weight compared to the large style from years ago, those of you who still use these type phones today should look at upgrading and come to terms with the technology of today.

General advice:

If you experience a bad reception on a regular basis you should check with your cell phone carrier first before changing the phone, most of the time it tends to be a bad signal due to the cellular phone carrier rather than the fault of your phone, many people just jump and buy the phone only to find that they same problem is reoccurring. In certain area’s you may need a small cell phone antenna or booster costing very little to get a better reception.

Powering down very quickly:

If you find that your cell phone powers down too quickly the chances are you need a new battery, once again many people exchange the whole cell phone instead of just the battery. The conception that batteries are almost as costly as the cell phone is untrue. You can get batteries at very competitive pricing along with third party battery from different suppliers.

No Power:

If you find that you have no power in your cell phone even after charging for hours, it could be one of three things. Firstly the battery in the cell phone could be completely dead, secondly the recharge supply unit could have a problem and last of all it could be the cell phone itself, by eliminating the first two you could save yourself money. It may all seem common sense but you would be surprised at how many good working cell phones are thrown out. About the Author

How To Upgrade Your PC

Alex Fir 2005-08-15
Title: How To Upgrade Your PC
Before you upgrade your PC hardware it’s best to search all options and ask for advice. Only after this you can go and buy a new component. It’s also useful to check if you really need an upgrade.

Do not upgrade your very old PC because it would cost a lot of money. It’s cheaper to buy a new computer in such cases because they are easier to upgrade later.

Upgrading the hard drive:

The majority of people do not really need to upgrade their hard disk, unless they use it for playing a lot of music, movies, and games. A 20 GB hard drive is sufficient to keep new office and internet applications, and all your files and data.

A medium sized hard drive would be around 40 GB and the maximum would be around 60 – 80 GB.

Before upgrading your hard disk it’s best to do a complete disk checkup including disk scan, defragmentation, etc. If you happen to be an average user and need more storage you can add an additional drive to the existing one. Before an upgrade, be sure to back up your files.

Upgrading the RAM:

RAM or Random Access Memory is the short-term memory of the PC. It keeps data that is being worked on now and may or may not be transferred to the hard drive that represents the long-term memory of the computer.

Current processors can perform an enormous number of operations per second. The hard drive, on the other hand, is significantly slower to handle so much information. This is where a high-speed RAM memory comes in. RAM needs a power supply to keep data. Once the power is turned off the data is lost.

Almost all PCs have 64 MB RAM and often 128 MB. If you want to run newer applications on your PC then you must upgrade to 128/256 MB RAM.

A lot of people who upgrade from 98 to Win 2000 discover that their computers lock up very often. This is because they don't have enough RAM.

CPU upgrade:

If you choose this upgrade, you will have faster execution of instructions but it leaves the RAM and hard drive capacity unchanged.

This sis the most cost effective upgrade and can increase the efficiency of your computer considerably. Seek a professional help before you take a decision.

Motherboard:

Upgrading motherboard is not such a good proposition unless you replace the CPU and the RAM as well to achieve greater performance levels. You upgrade the motherboard either because the current one doesn’t support a faster CPU or the CPU requires a different socket. It could be very expensive. Think about buying a new PC.

Ports:

Ports are sockets at the back of your computer where you plug in external devices. Older PCs work on “parallel” ports. If you need to work a lot on peripherals such as digital cameras, digital camcorders, CD burners, and scanners then you need to upgrade to USB and Firewire ports if you are not using them already.

Both tend to be cheaper than the “parallel” and SCSI devices they replace. Always make sure that there are no compatibility problems with other devices in your PC when you plan to upgrade any hardware on your machine.

A Process To Swiftly Upgrade Your Real Estate Investment

Tom Beaty 2008-02-02
Title: A Process To Swiftly Upgrade Your Real Estate Investment

People upgrade things every single day. Some people will upgrade to a new cell phone while others will upgrade to a new operating system for their computer. Did you know that you have the ability to upgrade your real estate investment as well?

Once in a great while, a real estate deal will com about that unquestionably must be bought at market value. Someone who has been investing for a while would be surprised to hear this. However, there are good reasons for doing this. The most common of these reasons is planning to upgrade your investment.

This tends to be quite complex. However, you will definitely benefit from the time and effort you invest if you use the right tools. Perhaps the most important of these tools is the the regional planning board. This can be found in every location. Every project planned for a location for the next five or ten years can be found listed at this company. If you are an investor, it is advised that you check this list commonly.

You may come across a little known plan to develop a neglected area after reviewing these proposals. All investors who are familiar with real estate know that the property values accumulate every time a development project takes place. An astute investor will immediately search the area for available properties. Don't be intimidated if you find nothing but vacant land. You will succeed at upgrading your investment if you purchase and rezone the land for the coming development.

Buying the property at market value and renovating it is a different plan for upgrading your real estate investment. You may have to resort to buying a two bedroom home surrounded by houses with three and four bedrooms in them. You can use renovations as a means to accumulate the value of the home to equal the market value of the larger homes of that neighborhood. Home owners often take this route when they want a larger home but cannot afford to sell.

Upgrading your investments will create equity in the property. This aspect of the system is very worthwhile. After all is said and done, You will have the option of selling the property for more than you paid for it. Like every other system for generating profit, this has its inconveniences.

An investor who is tentative knows when to stop upgrading his investment. It is imperative that you do not upgrade your real estate investment beyond what the market can maintain. Don't forget, the principle of this is to make money. It is not always in your best interest to put thousands of dollars of renovations into a property. Most of the time, If you invest more money into a property, you will create less profit.

This method must be used with caution. Development plans can change or completely fail. Before you ever achieve the renovations on your property, the market may change. Just in case things go wrong, it is important to make ready a plan of action before you try this investment strategy.

It is imperative that you review the properties one more time in order to determine whether or not this investment strategy is reasonable. Many investors have found success in doing this. You simply must proceed with caution when upgrading your investment.

Reasons for upgrading your mobile phone

Jennifer 2006-04-21
Title: Reasons for upgrading your mobile phone

With more and more new features of mobile phones coming up everyday, people want to upgrade their mobile phones year after year or even before that. The main reason they upgrade is they want to have the latest features and sound effects and thus be with the trend.

Before upgrading your mobile phone, you need to think carefully whether you really need to upgrade it or not. Most of us upgrade just to have the latest technology and to show off that we owe the latest model. Some people upgrade their phones simply to get polyphonic ringtones if their phone supports only the monophonic ones. The different upgrade options available today are Camera mobile phones, PDA phones, GPS phones and the new line of 3G phones.

Many of us upgrade just because we get bored of seeing the same phone. If you have a mobile phone from the early years, you might want something more portable and flexible in use. You need to do some research and study about the different models, functions, features and compare them with your existing phone. Only then you can choose exactly what fits your needs and budget. Today, camera phones have proved to be so popular that it is the most common reason for upgrading a mobile phone. It allows you to take pictures whenever and wherever you want to. If you want to upgrade to a camera phone, study the features of different camera phones with different resolutions and then decide which one would be suitable for you.

The latest PDA phones are also one of the reasons for upgrading to a phone having similar functionality to that of a PC. These phones are expensive but ideal for people who like using pocket organizers. Once you have an idea of the different features in different models, it will be easy to come up with your decision.

Another reason may be that your battery isn't working properly so instead of changing it, you want to buy a new mobile phone. In fact, there are many people who exchange the whole phone instead of just the battery. They have a misconception that batteries are almost as costly as a new mobile phone. Nowadays, batteries are available at very competitive prices.

There may be several reasons to upgrade your mobile phone but you should not upgrade simply to show off to the world. So it depends on you how you make the right deal with the combination of the features and the model you are looking for while upgrading.
