Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it - Chinese Proverb

Success is not something that just happens; not even to the gurus who seem to have cash gushing out of their very pores. Successful people follow a pattern of habitual positive attitudes and actions that includes positive phrasing when they speak.

Are you a person with a negative attitude? Perhaps you have difficulty seeing the better side of problems or stumbling blocks?

Successful people actually see the new possibilities available to them when the merde begins to hit the propeller. This is not a magical talent that produces successful ventures at will, but a combination of a learned mind-set and a determined plan of action that is totally positive.

When you can see only the negative in something, you destroy any chance of being successful with your online ventures.

Have you noticed how successful people do things in a certain way, following their well-tested plan of action? They rarely vary from what they know works. I'm not saying that they don't test other processes, they do -- they just don't mess with success -- why would they?

Whether you're speaking (or writing) to one person or a group, your language has to be positive. People make judgments about you after reading or listening to what you have to say and HOW you say it. This is particularly true if you are communicating with to successful marketers. Negativity is definitely not in their personality.

Negative speech almost always leads to constant complaining and creates a negative or hostile work environment. Your readers and clients do not want to be brought down when they are considering buying one of your products. If you're a forum member, the chances are you'll be discounted if you're always negative in your posts.

Here's a few common negative statements I'm sure we've all come across which I would advise you to avoid:

There's no such thing as a free lunch!

This blanket statement is so negative and pessimistic that it puts a downer on any plan being proposed before it even gets off the ground. Before anyone can add to the proposal or suggest anything positive, the entire plan just got a negative focus by that statement.

Successful Internet Marketers would never say that. Instead, they would be looking for possibilities to turn a negative into a positive. Success is a total mindset and those who toss negative attitudes out of their business get ahead.

I can't ...

What a waste of breath this declaration is to any forward progress. Before you even get started, you have given up. Succeeding is mostly believing you can do something and then doing it. Never say you can't, because you can. If you don't know how to do something just ask.

I know this is a stupid question, but ...

Asking the question won't get you labeled as "stupid," but the way you phrase it might. When you use that terminology to lead into your question you are putting yourself down and giving someone the chance to wonder why you even asked the question in the first place, if you thought it was stupid.

There are no stupid questions, except the ones you don't ask. We all have gaps in our understanding of a process or technique that seems easy to someone else. Just ask the question and listen to the answer.

That sounds like a good idea, but ...

If it's a good idea, don't put but in your sentence, which turns a good idea or plan into a negative pursuit. You are going to have to train yourself to look at the positive side of any ideas put to you. When you get the reputation for putting down all good ideas for success, you will be left out of the loop and any forward progress will happen without you.

Successful Internet Marketers don't have the time for negative people in their business and won't waste time overcoming your objections to new ideas.

You probably don't have time to help me with ...

When you make decisions about other people's responses to your request for help, you usually get just what you asked for... someone with no time to help you.

That request for help could sound like you are whinging and it might not get you the help you want. Most Internet Marketers have been in the same place you are and will be glad to point you in the right direction if you ask for help directly.

Be specific with your request for help. Simply provide the details they might need to respond to your request. A better way to ask this question would be:

Do you have time to help me with...?

or

I'm a bit stuck and can't seem to ... Do you have any ideas?

Both of those questions are direct and positive and will almost certainly get you a response.

The Internet moves rapidly. Today's news is tomorrow's fish and chip paper. The people that succeed will keep up with the new processes and move on with a positive attitude.

It's too good to be true.

Why? Why can't it be "It's good enough to be true" or "How am I going to do this?" Instant negativity is all around you and it is your job to dig it out of your automatic responses.

That statement is not helpful in any way. Of course, there's a lot of hype all over the Internet and some of it really is too good to be true. But this is no reason to wrap every good idea in that negative comment.

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Whilst Murphy's cynical comments on general mishaps can be a bit of a giggle, they also come with a mindset that can destroy the forward progress of a task.

To start with, it's not a true statement, but a blanket warning about possibilities and could make you hesitate when you have some good ideas for your project.

So, give old Murphy's Law the bums rush from your mind and definitely from your conversation.

I'll try to get this done.

You're giving yourself permission not to do the job you've tasked yourself to do. You won't commit to getting it done in the time frame allowed. You're setting up a reason to fail that takes the blame off you.

I hope this works out...

Again, you're giving yourself permission to fail. Commit to getting the project done. Things are going to happen in any project that will be a hassle to fix and you need to to be 100% committed to getting it done. Take responsibility for your own success. Hoping will not get things done, but "doing" will.

Positive attitudes and actions are the cornerstone of all successful plans of action. Be positive. Be the "go-to guy" or "gal" who takes projects and makes them work. You can do it!

Success Coaching: Instant Success

Jim Allen 2007-10-17
Title: Success Coaching: Instant Success
As a success coach, I have a lot of fun working with energetic, motivated individuals who are eager to turn their dreams into reality. They’ve made that important step from talking about success to actually creating it.

In helping these “doers” create the necessary strategies to achieve their goals, much of my time is spent talking with them about their expectations of how quickly they can accomplish their goals. In the success coaching process, it’s not always the most enjoyable part of what we do together, but it is a very important one. After all, it’s important to have big goals to work towards, but it’s just as important to have realistic expectations about how and when those dreams can be made real.

Unfortunately, everything today is about speed and getting more done, faster than ever before. Not necessarily a bad goal, but that push for speed spills over into all aspects of our lives. We want fast service and fast results -- no matter what we’re doing.

Everywhere we look in our instant-everything environment we see examples of this: fast-food restaurants, one-hour photo stores, 10-minute oil change shops, do-it-yourself express-lane checkout, etc. We continue to move faster and faster… and we grow incredibly impatient, especially when it comes to people enjoying the fruit of our own efforts. Getting all we ever wanted just isn't enough, unless in can happen instantly.... overnight... right away... right now!

Success, however, rarely (if ever) occurs instantaneously. It comes to you on its own schedule as the result of consistent, persistent action. Rather than stressing yourself out, take things easy… take your time… stop expecting instant results. Do what needs doing and let life take its own course. This way, you can focus on working smarter and more efficiently while enjoying the process of what you’re doing.

Sure, there will be times when you get immediate results and achieve success quickly. Most of the time you’ll need to be patient… Just because you're not getting instant results doesn't mean you won't get any. If you keep working towards your goals, maintaining a sustained, consistent effort, readjusting your plans as necessary along the way, you will create the success you’re looking for.

Consider this analogy: You build a large, thousand-mile-long pipeline, from Alaska to California. You drill for oil and start pumping it into the pipeline… Now, do you have oil coming out of the other end immediately? Of course not! You have to be patient and wait a while. Eventually, the oil will start to flow at the other end, but only if you keep on drilling and filling up the pipe.

It's the same way your own efforts. You have to be patient while your work creates the success you desire. By not forcing the timetable and pushing for immediate results, you actually improve your chances of achieving your goals.

How can get a more realistic expectation of your goals? Easy...

First, make a plan before you mark your calendar. That’s right, sit down and figure out exactly how you’re going to achieve your goal. Figure out all the steps. Determine what resources you already have and which ones you need… Then write it all down, ALONG WITH your estimate of how long it will take to accomplish each individual step! Chances are your time estimates for individual steps will be more accurate than a single estimate for the entire project since you will be looking at smaller action items.

Second, with your firm-but-flexible plan in hand, make a list of potential obstacles, big and small, that could get in your way. Counterintuitive? Too negative? I don’t think so… It’s really an extension of planning that can actually save you time. Thinking about what may slow you down helps prepare you for overcoming those obstacles, thus speeding you back up. Figure out the average time delay an obstacle presents and factor that into your time estimates.

Third, and finally, look around for examples of people who have accomplished the same (or a similar) goal. Ask them how long it took them to achieve success (versus what they thought it would take)? What obstacles did they face? What surprises did they encounter along the way?

Talking with others who have done what you want to do is a great way to estimate how long it might take you. Plus, you get the added benefit of learning from other people’s experience (which, again, could save you a lot of time)!

Three very simple steps, but they can help you focus your mind on the real work necessary to make your dreams a reality.

With a more realistic sense of what can be accomplished, the more you’ll enjoy every step in the process of creating success in your life. And when you do reach your goals, you’ll see that the success you achieve is more than worth the wait.

Motivation...It''s All About Attitude

Bill Thomas 2007-06-25
Title: Motivation...It''s All About Attitude
It has been said that there is a fine line between success and failure. When talking about success, I'm not just talking about the so called rich and famous, but about people in all walks of life who have managed to find purpose and meaning in the work that they do. While there is no one recipe that leads to success and work satisfaction, there are qualities that all successful people seem to have an abundance of, and one of those is motivation.

When you think about the word 'motivation', what comes to mind? For me, it's anything that creates desire, and motivates someone to take action, whether it be the desire to own your own business, be the best in some sports competition or maybe attracting that special someone. If one were to ask you to name several highly motivated individuals, who would you name? While your list is likely to be much different from mine or anyone else's, one trait that they all share is a passion for what they do that provides all the motivation they require.

What do you love to do? I mean what really gives you a charge, something that you have a passion for? One of my pleasures is playing guitar. When I sit down and proceed to make music, I become so enmeshed in the process that I tend to forget about time and my surroundings. When you have a passion for something, it's easy to be motivated. But what about the day to day things that we all must do, such as working at a job that doesn't always provide a lot of inspiration other than paying the bills. Are there things that we can do to help us create a greater sense of work satisfaction while experiencing an increase in motivation?

One of the things that successful people do is they are able to look beyond the tasks that they perform, and are motivated to find or create meaning and purpose in the work that they do. When I was younger, I worked my share of tedious jobs such as landscaping, driving, factory work, etc. In the beginning, I found myself becoming bored quickly, and would leave a job as soon as I became tired of it. It wasn't until I discovered ways to make a job more interesting that I actually was able to enjoy them.

For instance, I once worked for a medical lab, running routes and picking up specimens from Dialysis units. Going in and out of the units, I would see people with all sorts of health problems, in many cases people who are often at the last stage of their life. After a while, I started having conversations with some of the patients, and I found that I looked forward to seeing my regulars. I came to realize that they looked forward to our brief moments together as much as I did, and knowing that I was bringing just a slight bit of joy into their days gave me a sense of satisfaction and purpose that transcended the job that I performed.

What about you? Is there some aspect of your job that you could use to create a greater sense of purpose and thus satisfaction? Are there things that you could do to make yourself more productive? If you get in the habit of looking for ways to improve things around you, you will not only experience greater work satisfaction, but you'll be looked upon as a positive, motivated individual that is an asset to any business or organization.

When it comes to motivation, some will say that you either have it or you don't. While it's not always easy to feel motivated about many things in our life, the reality is that there are things that we can do to help create motivation. One of the most important things that we can do is just changing out attitude. Look for greater meaning or purpose in whatever it is that you are doing. As an unknown writer once said, "motivation comes from within". What motivates you?

Remembering the Seasons for Success

Koz Huseyin 2007-03-20
Title: Remembering the Seasons for Success
In this article I will be talking about the seasons and what they have to do with your success. Amply this article is titled remembering the seasons for success.

So you may be wondering - what has the season for success got to do with your success now. Ultimately what we want in success isn't just one success, then trying again and achieving just one success. We want to be able to go in to flow states, we want things to work in an easy and relaxed manner and the healthy and positive way. We want to go with the flow and not cut against the grain. To do this we need to look out to a more wider choice. You see our habits and ways of working, are great when they have been worked for such a long period of time, but we need something more solid, something more predictable, something we understand naturally.

The only thing that can allow us to do this, in any easier and relaxed manner and provide us with a system of reference which we are used to, and is easy for us to understand as that has been with us since the time of our birth. Nature is the ultimate place to look, and the best one to look at. Why? Why should we do this? It’s quite simple really, nature and the one that is behind ruling it is a great mentor, because of its lavishness, its abundance, and it's great workings with time. Nature is so fathomed that every season is in complete perfection, every season starts at its appointed time, deals with what it is meant to do, and naturally flow easily into the next season.

So we can take this knowledge and apply it to our businesses, our personal lives or anything where we are focused on at this present time and needs working on.

So what of the season's and how can we apply it to understanding about our businesses and how can we improve to make things much better in this area of our lives we want to change or improve.

We have:

+Winter +Spring +Summer +And we have autumn (harvest)

So let us take a look at what each of the season's mean and how they apply to your situation or business.

Winter ~ Reflection, Dreaming… Picture the winter, it is cold, it is dark, life has settled down - gone within, it looks like there's no life anywhere. Most of the time you look up and there's a grey cloud covering the sun. It looks as though there is nothing powering this otherwise summery, beautiful, green and blue planet that we live on.

In the business sense or in any area of your life how does this equate? Having no money, no relationship, bankruptcy, dead end. It seems as though nothing will get better. So you're probably wondering, how is all of this go in to make your situation any better - if at the present time you can relate to this description of winter and how applies to your current situation.

It so is perfectly well, and it probably is a good idea at that we began with winter first. When winter hits and none shall if you've lived any length of time you have found yourself in this position. The position where you say "Ow God, when will anything ever get better!". I'm sure you have had the time in your life when you was in a situation, and if you find yourself in this situation now, I'm glad you have found this information.

You see, this is the ultimate thing to understand when you are relating your life with the laws of nature and the season's. Everything changes, even in nature! Whatever you're going through now or you remember the time in the past that relates to this analogy of winter; i.e. a rock-bottom, will surely pass. As winter continues it seems to get colder and colder, it looks like there's no way out. But now something amazing happens. Right at that pinnacle when you just can't go no more, something changes. Yes, it's cold and wet to, but, there's something different. The Suns out, birds are singing again, and life is about to do something amazing. . .

Spring~ Plans, Beginnings… The transition from cold winter changes, like stars to blossom, daffodils open their flowers. In winter spring time is the light at the end of the tunnel. As life springs so to do opportunities manifest in our lives and like the farmer who knows it's time to start sowing seeds, it's the time when we begin to feel energized, when Eureka’s spring, and literally there's a spring in our step! Ideas start to flow, plans are made, and we are starting to go.

Where are you? The reason why I asked this, is more for the people who find themselves in winter, so that you can see a pattern and become conscious of, and change your focus instantly, in the now. This information will allow you to break out of this pattern and provide you with personal freedom.

Summer ~ Major Growth Now! The son is upon us, it is blisteringly hot, life is everywhere in full abundance. The huge contrast between winter and summer is quite apparent. Winter looked so barren, and summer is so full of life; it is as though a massive generator has been plugged in! The summer months in view of your business is a start where everything is working correctly, everything is as it should be. This is the domain of where goals are achieved, where money flows easily in and out, where you are in balance, where relationships are fulfilling, and you jump out of bed in the morning with anticipation for the day ahead. This is also the place where on those days you might just not feel like doing what you intended to do, but you say "Come on, it will be great!" or your running late, its usual time for exercise, but you say "Lets at least do some, lets do a bit, so we can keep on time, let's do it. That is the work of summer, as that's all it can be.

The summer is where we ideally all want to be!

Next something happens... The continual hot heat of the nice warm sun has caused the land and all its life contained to stop waxing fat, the day the act of goals achieved has brought us confidence and peace of mind. Dreams have turned into reality, the sun has settled down, and this gives us a point of reflection. We're obviously at the season of autumn, the season of harvest. The season where we can enjoy the fruits of our labour. The petals have turned golden brown, and maturity sets in.

You may find yourself in the season, but the season for this area of your life could be totally out of sync with the natural rhythms of nature. It may be a summer and you've got a winter. This information serves to remind you, and enable you to get into a flow state, rather than go in against the grain of life.

I hope this information has given you some insight and understanding. What a great time table to use as something as perfect, and which we are in tune to as the natural seasons.

Have a great year, and to your success.

Success: Is Success A Croc and Peddled By Internet Snake Oil Salesman?

Chris Le Roy 2006-12-15
Title: Success: Is Success A Croc and Peddled By Internet Snake Oil Salesman?
My colleague and I were talking earlier today and we are intrigued by the number of people and companies peddling solutions for becoming a success. From people offering solutions through making millions by buying properties or others pushing you to buy a business and make your money that way. Is success really something anyone can achieve or is it really simply the luck of the draw?

The aspect of success that has intrigued me for a long time is, is what is success? Who defines what a success is? The establishment of marketing and advertising guru's propagates the belief that to be a success you must have all the nice things in life like the LCD Television screen, BMW or Mercedes in the Garage, a Boat in the Front Yard and so forth but in reality can everyone achieve this. This is the question I and many of my team have been asking.

If you believe all of the advertising material on achieving success you would believe "Yes". With books having been written in the 30's during the time of the depression like Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill you would think that we should all be living the good life and on easy street. So why is it that some people have it and some people do not?

The one core reason why some people succeed and others do not can be simply summed upto one thing - COMMITMENT!

I know I know, I here some people saying right now, "but I've been working hard for twenty years but I have not succeeded. Blah Blah Blah" Know the feeling, but really there are two things to consider, what have you achieved so far and what do you want to achieve. If you do not have a core goal of what you want to achieve then you can never achieve it so of course success will pass you by. Be aware of one thing though, sometimes on your path to success, you have to fail miserably before you can really succeed to achieve obscene riches. This is the part that none of the billionaires or millionaires tells you in all of their self-help books.

The path to wealth and success is never as smooth as some people will have you believe, often the people who sell their stories and their autobiographies will put the positive spin on how easy it was and how they rose to success. Absolute rubbish, the number of business people who I personally know who have a failed business after failed business before they got one that truly brought them to obscene wealth is truly staggering. In fact, I would put the number in the thousands.

Let give you one example, and I will say that I have never met this man in my life, I have simply followed him through the news, read his books and watched his television shows and that is Donald Trump. This man is what I consider the cover boy of the embodiment of the Think and Grow Rich Secrets to obscene wealth because what you may not know is that not to many years ago this man almost lost the entire Trump Empire. Now the single reason he has come through that is his commitment to success. He wanted his empire of building developments that badly that he learned, he committed to finding a way to move forward and to do what he wanted to do and if you truly want to succeed then this is the commitment you must make.

Success is a way of life, it is the way you think, the way you breathe, the way you eat and the way you conduct your life. Success strategies whether it be using the Think and Grow Rich 13 Secrets to wealth or the Master Key by Charles Haanel or any other program that is out there. To be a success you must make a commitment to yourself to keep going on regardless of what the world will throw at you.

Let me assure you, just like you will find out, I too have been through times, when self-doubt comes into play, when you think you are going to lose everything, when you think you are going to broke. The bottom line is this, to succeed you must leave no possible way of retreat, your psyche must be to win or perish!

Commit yourself to winning, it does not mean you are going to crush everyone in your path, it does not mean you are going to rip people off either or do anything that is unethical, it is about achieving what you need to for YOU and what is in the interest of your community. Have you noticed one key element to all billionaires, they have a passion for their community and making things better in their community. For example, Donald Trump is committed New York, in fact on many an occasion I have heard him call New York his town. Bill Gates the founder of Microsoft has invested billions in his own community in the US but also in other places like Africa.

Look the bottom line is this, and actually I was told this about 15 years ago, the key to success is to read and listen to everything, both good and bad, get every book you can find, every video and every internet site to learn about how you can move forward cause knowledge is power. You will very quickly learn what is good advice and what just does not work and the more you do this, the sooner you will achieve success. Then do not sit around put it into action, commit to actually doing something. To succeed you do have to fail, that is simply a fact of life.

Of all the material I have read and I have a library of over 10,000 books and I buy on average about 600 to 700 books a year which I read every single one of them, the one thing that has stuck with me is the thirteen secrets to success outlined in Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He talks about a man from Colorado who owned one of the richest gold mines in that state. When the gold dried up and he could not find any more Gold he simply gave up and sold out. The bloke who bought it from him, did not give up, in fact he found one of the biggest reefs of gold in Colorado. The man who originally sold the mine was just 3 foot from that reef.

The one thing I keep reminding myself, I have programmed this into my mind so that every single time that I think about quitting and saying that it is all too hard, is that SUCCESS COULD BE JUST THREE FEET AWAY. If you would like the opportunity to read the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill simply visit our website where you can download the book and audio reading. Talking Yourself Into Success

Elaine Currie 2007-04-28
Title: Talking Yourself Into Success
We all talk to ourselves, maybe not out loud, but there is a conversation going on inside all of us all the time. Sometimes it turns into a monologue but a lot of the time we are conducting a dialogue within ourselves. This is the way we make decisions. By debating the pros and cons of any situation, we eventually reach our conclusion and act accordingly.

Anyone who has needed to make a tough decision will know that feeling of being swayed one way and then another, making a decision and then unmaking it before remaking it. Once we have acted in accordance with our eventual decision, we often continue the debate and wonder if the decision was the right one after all.

Although we have committed ourselves to a course of action, we can't help wondering about the eventual outcome of our decision. Even when it is too late for a change of mind and we will have to follow our chosen path, we can't halt this internal debating process. This is where we have another choice to make. We can waste untold amounts of energy by electing to agonise over the decision we have already made, asking ourselves if we did the right thing and worrying about the outcome. Alternatively, we can choose to tell ourselves that the decision has been made and we have the ability to see it through to a successful conclusion.

If we carry on worrying about whether we made the correct decision, we will be wasting valuable energy instead of using it to work towards our goals. We will also be creating a state of mind where negative feelings can easily take root. Self doubt will erode any positive feelings we had to start with and we will lose all confidence in our ability to succeed. In continuing to doubt our abilities, we will encourage the tiny seeds of self doubt to grow up all around us into a deep dark forest of negativity where we could search for all eternity but never find our self confidence again.

Once you have made a final decision, don't waste your energy by replaying the decision making process in search of a possible error. Don't waste your time in imagining all sorts of possible unsatisfactory outcomes. Remember, you already discussed the matter fully between you and yourself and reached a conclusion. Now it is time to look forward. Now is the time to plan for success.

Counteract any niggling doubts by concentrating on the reasons why you made that decision. If you wrote a list of pros and cons during the time you were considering your decision, rip up the list of cons and throw it away. While doing this, picture yourself doing it and feeling positive and happy about having made your decision. Pick a quiet time when you are alone each day and visualise yourself throwing away the "bad" list and feeling good about it. After repeatedly performing this visualisation exercise for a couple of weeks, you will be able to invoke the positive feeling associated with your mental picture as an antidote to negativity any time you start to feel anxious about your abilities.

If you did not make written lists to help with the decision making, it is a good idea to write a list of your reasons in favour of the decision once you have committed yourself to a course of action. Keep a copy of your "positive" list on your office wall or the refrigerator door, or any place you will see it regularly, as a reminder of all the good reasons for choosing the path you are on.

Build up your self confidence by making daily affirmations. Write down a list of positive statements to affirm the person you are, the abilities you possess that will help you reach your goals and the things you will do to ensure you achieve success. Write these statements in groups of "I am", "I can" and "I will". They don't need to be great long lists, just a couple from each category can be sufficient to boost your self esteem.

Write your affirmation statements on cards and place the cards in positions where you will see them several times each day, such as on your bathroom mirror, on your desk at work, on the refrigerator door. Make it a habit to speak your affirmation statements aloud several times each day when you are alone. Speak them in your mind any time doubts threaten your belief in yourself.

"All we are is the result of what we have thought." - Buddha

How Talking About Your Business Will Lead To Success

Tony Hall 2007-04-04
Title: How Talking About Your Business Will Lead To Success
What began as just an ordinary night out with friends turned into a lesson in business building and self-motivation. You see when I started my own business working from home I was naturally a bit wary. I'd never had my own business before. I was the typical person who had a job and put up with it. But that had changed and now I did what I wanted to do. A new life was beginning.

The trouble was even though I knew what I was doing, actually explaining it to other people was difficult. A business publishing and marketing information products was just right for me. But getting people to understand what I did was the hard part. So usually I just didn't bother. I just got on with it quietly and enjoyed every moment.

But two conversations that night were to change all that and now I take every opportunity I get to talk about my business.

First I happened to meet an old colleague who I hadn't seen or spoken to for over eighteen months. He was the Training Manager at a company I used to work for. The subject naturally got around to work and to what I was now doing.

I explained as best I could my business and soon the questions were being fired at me. But then came the comment that made me realise I should really talk about it an awful lot more.

"Well remember me when you're developing products. You know I can talk about anything!"

That's right! My old friend had offered his services to help my business. We went on to talk about possible training niches and all of a sudden new product ideas were coming to mind. He happens to be a very good trainer and a very good presenter and public speaker. I quickly decided I would certainly be talking to him in the future about joint ventures.

We went our separate ways but I had a new spring in my step.

I then met up with my usual circle of friends and expected the usual conversations about sport and music, our favourite topics.

But no! I was asked how the new business was going. And then I was asked by one friend what exactly it was I did. Previously I might have quickly glossed over the subject but not now.

In fact I then spent at least half an hour explaining it all. I went right the way through how I identified a niche market, including explaining what a niche market actually is. I told him about how to research and develop the product and then how to create it. I had to explain what digital products were and how they were sold.

Well, not only was he interested but he started coming up with all sorts of product ideas. In fact he said he was so excited by it that he would have trouble sleeping that night. I gave him a couple of ideas for products that he might be able to create or at least do so in a joint venture with me.

It really was amazing. I was buzzing and felt really motivated to get on with building my business. The simple process of talking to people and telling them what I do had given me renewed enthusiasm.

But the point of relating all this is that if you do the same you will be surprised at where it will take you. New doors will be open to you and opportunities and ideas you never imagined will present themselves to you.

Just take on board these key points:

• Take every opportunity to talk about your business.
• Be patient and be prepared to explain things and answer questions.
• Ask plenty of questions about your friends' and acquaintances' interests, hobbies, and jobs. Product ideas are bound to come out.
• Offer to show them how they could create a product. If they are interested then work on it together.
• Be confident and be proud of your business.
• When success comes be willing to share it.

Starting out in business is never easy. But the vital thing I learned on my night out was that if you talk to people about what you do you really will gain a great deal. Your confidence will soar and your motivation to go out and achieve your goals will be boosted to new heights.

I'm now building a successful business and you can too.

What''s Your "Talking Domain Name"?

Donna Gunter 2007-02-28
Title: What''s Your "Talking Domain Name"?
Many times when a business owner picks a domain for her website, the domain name that is chosen and used is the name of the business that's already been established, or perhaps the owner's name is used. However, a person's name or the name of a business isn't always memorable nor is it always easy to spell. That's why I encourage my clients to get a "talking domain name" that they use in publicity efforts, like for radio, TV, or newspaper interviews. So, instead of using the URL of their primary business website, they would instead give a shorter, more easily-remembered domain instead that would point to the owner's primary website.

How important is this "taking domain name"? I think it's vital. Which is easier for you to remember, JonesChiropracticCenter.com, or PainBeGone.com? The latter is easier to remember, is easy to spell, and clearly outlines a result that many patients receive at Jones Chiropractic Center. And, now that you can pick up a domain name for as little as $2/year with some registrars, it's a no-brainer to pick several domain names for your business that you choose to use in different situations for different purposes.

How do you pick a good "talking domain name'? Here are 5 strategies you can use to find the perfect "talking domain name" for your business: (note--the URLs used in the examples below are only examples -- I haven't checked on their availability nor determined if the domain is actually in use.)

1. Problem that your clients have. Do many of your clients share a common problem or difficulty? If you're an auto body shop, your "talking domain name" might be DentMaster.com, for example. Make a list of problems with which clients commonly approach you and see if a great name emerges from that list.

2. Solution that you offer your clients. What problem or pain do you take away from your clients and help them solve? If you're a web designer, EasyWebSite.com might work for you, or if you're a personal chef, QuickMeals.com would do the trick. Start listing the types of solutions that you offer for your clients and see if something catches your imagination.

3, Benefit of working with you. How do clients benefit by working with you -- do you help them get results, find more time, make more money? If you're a Virtual Assistant, you might use FindMoreTime.com. If you install home alarms, SafeHome.com is a great benefit of working with you. Brainstorm your list of benefits that you offer clients and choose an especially compelling one for your "talking domain name".

4. Description of what you do. If your business name or your primary website name isn't clear about the service you provide, then use your "talking domain name" to do that for you. For example, I recently spoke with an author whose website reflected the long name of her book -- a name that was almost impossible to remember. She was getting ready for some major publicity and I encouraged her to find a shorter, more unique domain name to use during that PR stint. I encouraged her to think about a shorter name that accurately described what she does, and we decided that a domain name that she had already purchased was absolutely perfect for her. So, a domain name like YourDogTrainer.com or AnimalDoctor.com or GraphicDesignExpert.com might do well as your "talking domain name" as well.

5. Outcome or result of working with you. What is the final result that you offer your clients? If you're a dog trainer, a name like GoodDog.com would be appropriate. If you're a real estate agent, you might use YourNewHome.com. A money coach might use MoreMoney.com. Write down 2-3 final outcomes that your clients gain by working with you and determine if any of them would make an appealing domain name.

Just because you might have a long business name or use your given name as your business name doesn't mean that you have to use either of those names when you tell others what you do. Pick a domain name that is shorter yet memorable that you can use with great success in your publicity efforts.

MLM Training - Afraid Of Talking To Prospects? Get Over It Fast With These Four Simple Tactics

Tim Sales 2007-09-27
Title: MLM Training - Afraid Of Talking To Prospects? Get Over It Fast With These Four Simple Tactics

It's very difficult to achieve real MLM success if you are afraid of talking to people about your business. Use these four guidelines to achieve confidence when talking with prospects. They've worked for thousands in my own MLM business. I know they'll work for you too.

Why do you have a "chicken list?" Because you fear you don't communicate easily or well.

A "chicken list" is a list of prospects that you're scared of calling. Often people think they will call their "chicken list" after they get successful. But, they need these people in their MLM business to create the success.

This is a "Catch 22."

The phrase "Catch 22" is from a novel by Joseph Heller, written in 1961, where a pilot who was afraid to fight in World War II feigned insanity. But the doctor he was feigning insanity to said that if he were truly insane then he wouldn't mind endangering his life by going into the war.

On the other hand, if he were sane, then he would be capable of following orders to fight the war. Thus the phrase "catch 22" came to mean, "a situation that trips one up no matter which way one turns."

So, you need the people on your chicken list to create the success that you feel you need in order to contact your chicken list. How do you get around this catch-22?

Typically, your fear is based on you feeling the people on the list are somehow above yourself because of their status. But if you were to examine this more closely you would discover that it's not that the people on your chicken list are any better than you, it's that you don't have confidence in your ability to communicate easily.

If you knew you could communicate easily and effectively without making any mistakes, you could...and would...call anyone without hesitation. You would have confidence. You would have certainty. And there's NOTHING more rewarding than having that feeling.

Communicate means: a. To convey information about; make known. b. To reveal clearly.

Easily means: a. Free from worry, anxiety, trouble, or pain. b. Requiring or exhibiting little effort.

The reason I bring this up is that there is a group of characteristics an MLM business professional must have in order to truly have success in speaking with prospects. I call these characteristics the 10 Communication Qualities.

Once you're fully knowledgeable about these qualities and have the proper and correct MLM training to learn them, you will be amazed at how much smoother conversations will go with your prospects.

The fifth communication quality on my list is to" "Communicate easily - no tension, strain, fakeness, sounding rehearsed, stuttering or hesitating."

Let's take up each one of these issues:

Tension & Strain: (The usage definition for tension and strain were very similar so they are combined here.)

a. To be subjected to great stress. b. A great or excessive pressure, demand, or stress on one's body, mind, or resources.

Tension and strain (while communicating) are stress that is created by the mental activity of feeling unprepared or that you will sound "stupid" to others. If you've ever been asked to suddenly speak in public you know what this mental activity feels like.

It creates a very uncomfortable feeling. It's a feeling of "being on the spot" and not knowing what to say. It is often the reason someone's voice "squeaks and quivers" while talking. Tension and strain communicates uncertainty to the prospect or "new to the subject" and unprofessional.

The solution to tension and strain is familiarizing yourself with all situations that can come up on a call when talking to prospects. Be familiar with all situations that come up regarding your MLM business opportunity and also the products you sell.

Also know what you're going to ask the prospect to do - invite for product or invite for business, send to a website or get on a conference call, etc. If you are very clear about what you're going to do and say, you will greatly reduce tension and strain.

Fakeness: a. To represent falsely; pretend to. b. To fabricate.

People sound fake when they use a lot of fluff words like, awesome, incredible, unbelievable, fabulous, wonderful, special, state-of-the-art, etc. These types of adjectives demonstrate a clear bias on your part. I'm not suggesting you be a boring communicator - by all means, be excited. But you don't have to use fluff or puff words to describe your excitement as they normally indicate a cover-up of real content.

Sounding rehearsed: a. One that is not authentic or genuine.

Rehearsing what you're going to say is NOT WRONG. However, if you talk with a prospect before you've rehearsed enough - you will sound rehearsed; which IS UNPROFESSIONAL. If you've received a phone call from a telemarketer and you could tell he was reading from a script, it probably didn't sound very genuine and as soon as you detected that he was reading from a script you wanted off the phone. That's what you want to avoid causing your prospect to feel about you.

Stuttering and hesitating: a. If you hesitate, you do not speak or act for a short time, usually because you are uncertain, embarrassed, or worried about what you are going to say or do.

Stuttering and hesitating loops us back to the first issue I discussed above which is Tension and Strain. See, it is the fear of saying or doing something the prospect won't agree with that causes us to hesitate and stutter. So the solution for stuttering and hesitating is similar to the solution for tension and strain - be very familiar with all the situations that can come up on your invite call.

I don't know if you've realized the simplicity of this yet, but your willingness to talk to your "chicken list" or lack thereof is based on your ability to communicate easily. And to communicate easily, you need to become familiar with all aspects of your MLM business and company.

Talk Yourself To Success

Steve Tallamy 2007-09-02
Title: Talk Yourself To Success

The way that you talk to yourself can influence whether you will get success in you life or not, and it can help to speed up the success process. Think for a moment about how you react to how others speak to you. It is the way people talk to you that ultimately makes you decide whether to react positively or not. It is the same when you talk to yourself.

For instance if you have been working on a problem and after several attempts you still can not work out a solution to it what do you say to yourself? Oh it is impossible, I can not work it out, I give up!! Well if you do you will never find the solution, you have just told yourself you will not. Your subconscious mind will believe that whatever it is you are trying to do really is impossible and it will not bother to work on your behalf to come up with an answer. That is no way to get success into your life, you must be able to get your subconscious mind to work for you, be on your side, be in your team.

By using hypnosis I have been able to train my mind to think successfully, when I am in a situation like the one I have just mentioned I would say to myself something along the lines of,"Oh well I have found another way of not doing it so I must be getting nearer to the solution, lets have a cup of tea and then try a different approach." I admit it is not always easy to be that positive when you are struggling with a problem, so that is where the hypnosis sessions I use come into their own. By training my subconscious it automatically thinks that way and starts to think of other ways of solving whatever it is I am trying to achieve.

So be careful of how you talk to yourself if you want success whenever you want it. Stay clear of negatives and train yourself to give your subconscious a successful attitude. Some words to avoid; Can not, Will not, Impossible and Sometime. Some words to use.
Can, Will, Achievable and Now.

There are so many more words that you can avoid/use why not take a few minutes to think and write them down now. When you have your list pin it up somewhere you can look at it everyday and start talking yourself to success now.
