Past, Present, and Future Thoughts Through the Law of Attraction

Beth McCain 2007-10-18
Title: Past, Present, and Future Thoughts Through the Law of Attraction
Do you ever experience those moments when you find yourself propelled back to some past (usually traumatic) incident that you would just as soon forget? Or how about when you begin to think about your future and it devolves into a big worry fest? If this sounds familiar, then it's time for some change.

With the Law of Attraction, the Universe never distinguishes between the past, the present, or the future. The Universe merely picks up on whatever feeling you are emitting, and sends back to you similar situations that resemble that feeling. If you are thinking about the past and are reliving a negative situation over and over again, and are attaching some strong emotions to it while you do, you can bet that the Universe will soon be sending more the same feeling to you in the form of a similar (and, to you, a familiar) situation. The same goes for your future. If you are contemplating how you are going to exist on your "meager" salary in the coming year, and as you do, become negatively or fearfully worked up over it, the Universe will once again zero in on that feeling and generate a similar feeling to be delivered right back.

You don't have to guard every thought; just be aware of how you are feeling. It's not the thought so much as the feeling that causes things to start moving your way. Make a conscious choice to observe your feelings you are emitting.

Creating a New Life

You want to create your life in the now. If you are creating this beautiful goal for yourself and you see it happening in the future, it will remain in the future. Feel that it is happening now. Visualize it as if it is happening this very moment, and feel it in the now. This creates the good, strong, positive emotions that will have the Universe bringing back to you exactly what you are feeling. Thank the Universe for already taking care of it, and feel grateful and thankful that whatever you desire has come to pass and then let it go, and let the Universe get it together for you.

Break the Cycle

Some people wonder why their life seems to be always on a repetitive cycle. They may encounter situations that just keep repeating time and time again. This kind of cycle must be broken. Mulling the same past memories can keep you in the same pattern. Break the pattern. You don't need the memories that hurt you. Hang on to the ones that make you feel wonderful, and revel in those. See your future as a bright star that you can see now, not a "groundhog day" life of repetitive, hurtful experiences. Everyone has been hurt in some way or another, but we don't have to subscribe to reliving the negative experiences. Instead, we can learn from them through observation and acknowledgement, while keeping the feelings clear of a highly charged emotional past. Break the cycle.

And do your best to be grateful for your past experiences. Past experiences can teach you so much about yourself, and only help you on the path that you are walking today. Many past experiences show us what we want and don't want. That is a major step in the Law of Attraction; knowing what you don't want and moving toward what you do. If you remain within the "don't want" experience, you will continue to get exactly what you don't want directly from the Universe. So make sure to observe what you have learned without getting roped into the hurtful feelings of the past, unless, of course, you somehow prefer those feelings and want more of their effect on your life.

Your past, present, and future really play a role in achieving what you desire through the Law of Attraction. Make sure to be aware of what you are feeling as you attain what want, while living your life through the Law of Attraction.

Finding Your Uniqueness

Sharon Michaels 2007-09-03
Title: Finding Your Uniqueness
The most important time in your life is right at this moment!

The past is the past and the future is yet to be discovered. Learn from the past, live in the present and plan for the future.

True power comes from how you’re living your life right now. To see the future you must take control of where you are in the present.

To discover your unique strengths, you need an understanding of what makes you unique. Your strengths are built from the many different experiences in your life. You’re a sum total of your past, present and hopes for the future.

Uniqueness is defined as being without equal. No one else in the whole world has the same experiences, inner motivators, dreams, goals, or abilities. You owe it to yourself, and the other important people in your life, to find and use your special gifts.

Finding your uniqueness flows from deep inside. Your life’s purpose is the gift that only you can give the world. You have to know your unique qualities in order to live out your life’s purpose. When you know your life’s purpose, life has meaning.

Beginning your research

Finding your life’s purpose will help you to become more in tune with your inner self. You will be exploring your likes and dislikes, your strengths and weaknesses and your deepest thoughts. To get where you want to go in the future, you have to know where you are right now.

What really makes you tick? Let’s start exploring.

When you were little, before the world began telling you what you couldn’t do, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Let the child in you dream and plan the future. Believe the impossible is possible. Believe your dreams will come true. Believe, without a doubt, that you are worthy and deserving of success, happiness and unlimited prosperity. Allow the child in you to come alive once more with wonder, anticipation and excitement.

Are you aware of how you subconsciously feel about living out your destiny and finding your life’s purpose? Down deep inside is a belief system reacting positively or negatively to the idea of finding your life’s purpose. Take a few minutes of quiet time and answer these questions.

1. What was I most often praised for in my life? 2. Was I encouraged to take risks and try new things? 3. What have I stopped myself from doing because I didn’t feel I would succeed? 4. What did I most often dream about becoming when I was a child?

To find your life’s purpose you must believe you truly deserve happiness and success.

Living your dreams isn’t selfish or self-centered – it’s exciting, rewarding and fulfilling!

Eliminating limitations

Are you placing impossible limitations on yourself?

This is the time to explore ALL possibilities. Self-empowerment skills allow you to achieve your full potential through self-awareness.

Let’s analyze a few of the limits you may be placing on yourself.

1. What do you feel is going right in your life right now? Make a list of the ten best things going right for you. 2. Do you believe in your abilities? Make a list of your ten most outstanding abilities. 3. If you could change only one thing in your life at this minute, what would it be? 4. When you think about the future, what excites you the most? What, if anything, makes you sad? 5. Who is the person you admire most in this world? Why? Are you like this person in any way?

When you love what you’re doing in life, you can’t wait to begin the day. You get out of bed feeling enthused and energized.

Persistence is powerful. Desire to find and live your life’s purpose is a powerful inner motivator.

Be bold. Take risks. Start with one bite-sized piece at a time and accomplish more than you ever imagined possible.

Use your energy to create success!

Everyone has a life’s purpose

You have a life’s purpose!

Some people find their mission every early in life, others have to wait until they’re more mature. You have a special talent and calling only you can fulfill. You’ll begin feeling you have more direction and control of life as you listen to your hearts desire.

The first question you must ask: How can my life’s purpose benefit not only myself, but others as well?

This is probably the most important question you can ask yourself.

Any mission is valid as long as it expresses your uniqueness and special gifts. A life’s purpose is a representation of all your unique qualities.

You’ve probably had many clues throughout your life about your life’s purpose. If you haven’t found a mission yet, you can.

You may have been more aware of your mission during childhood than as an adult. Often, well meaning parents, teachers or other role models push and pull you onto a certain career path.

A life’s purpose doesn’t necessarily have to be a career. It can be a hobby too. What’s special about a life’s purpose is that it makes you happy and satisfied.

When you’re living a true mission, you share special gifts with the world. And, when you give yourself to the world, it comes back to you ten-fold.

“I always wanted to be somebody, I should have been more specific.” Lily Tomlin

Words that Inspire: Present

Julie Cohen 2007-06-27
Title: Words that Inspire: Present

Are You PRESENT?

Dictionary* says:
Now existing or in progress; being in view or at hand.

What it REALLY means:

Staying focused on what is currently happening in your life; living in 'the now' as opposed to the past or the future; the place where you exist, enjoy, impact and choose.

Why it MATTERS?
Being aware of where you 'spend your time' impacts your happiness and stress level. When your thoughts are in the past - rehashing a disappointment or wishing for how things used to be OR in the future - worrying about what is to come or hoping that things will get better, you are missing out on your PRESENT, your actual experiences.

PRESENT in Action:
I recently completed a Stress Manangement/Meditation Class. The instructor started the 8-week class by saying "All stress comes from time traveling...either worrying or fantasizing about the past or future." Over the two months of the course, I began to understand the power of this statement. When we choose to pay close attention to the PRESENT, stress is reduced.

I would love to hear your answers and comments. Take 45 seconds to reply to these questions at http://www.JulieCohenCoaching.com/contact.html. I will keep all responses confidential and reply directly to you.

PRACTICING STAYING PRESENT TO THE NOW

Harry Henshaw 2005-12-11
Title: PRACTICING STAYING PRESENT TO THE NOW
Transformational Counseling is about assisting others to transform their life. Transformational Counseling is a process of assisting others to learn how to let go of the past and live fully in the present. To live fully in the present is to become awaken to what is truly real and to our own natural power. Much of our life is spent living in the past, and in the process, attempting to fix it, to make it something that it is or was not. It is from living in the past that we also attempt to create our future, the result always being a living of life as it was in the past. Transformation takes place when we learn to exist in and be present to the Now.

The practice of staying present to our natural power and to that which is real is becoming conscious to what is so, to the Now, to the present. What is so, the Now, has no meaning and exists outside of thought and language. As human beings we tend to give meaning to everything, including other people, ourselves and even life itself. It is in our meaning making that we leave the present and create our life from the past, a life that can be filled with a great deal of anxiety, fear and stress. What is so merely exists and it is in the experience of the Now that we begin to live a life of power and freedom, a life and way of being free from our past.

A specific technique that is very powerful for practicing staying present to the Now is meditation. It is in meditation that one creates the space to experience a very deep state of relaxation, a state that is very healing to both the mind and body. As we know, in meditation ones metabolism slows down, including heart rate and blood pressure. The consistent practice of meditation will reduce anxiety and stress. For some the practice of meditation allows them to access true Being. For others it is way of reconnecting to the Spirit within us. It is in the consistent practice of meditation that the subject and object distinction inherent in language, thought and meaning making collapses thereby resulting in our access to the present, to the Now.

The meditative process can be enhanced by the use of therapeutic relaxation music. Music has always been a very powerful modality for promoting a very deep state of relaxation and even healings. I have found that musical compositions that are harmonically slow, repetitious, with sustained voices, which are rhythmically, random in tempo assists an individual in experiencing a very deep state of relaxation. A second important component of the use of therapeutic relaxation music is the use of binaural audio tones that have been interwoven into the music. The binaural tones, through a process referred to as entrainment or frequency following, gently guides or directs the mind/body to generate more of the targeted frequency of brain wave activity for an even more profound state of relaxation.

The meditative process of practicing staying present to the Now is as follows:

1. Take a comfortable position in an upright sitting position.

2. Allow your legs and arms to be open.

3. Allow your eyes to focus upon a chosen object. The chosen object could be a candle light in a darkened room or any point that you choose.

4. As you focus on the chosen object, allow your muscles to slowly relax from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

5. Take three slow deep breathes in through your nose as you inhale. Hold each breath to the mental count of four. Slowly exhale each breath out through your mouth. Continue to breath at a slow pace after the three breaths.

6. Continue to focus on the chosen object. When your mind wanders to some thought or thoughts slowly and gently bring it back to your focused concentration upon the chosen object. Simply let go of the thoughts that arise. The thoughts are from the past. Stay focused to what is so.

7. Continue the practice for a prescribed period of time and then go about your daily activities. Each day that you practice you may even choose to lengthen the time you spend with this technique.

The ability to stay in the present, to access the Now, can be enhanced with the consistent practice of meditation. What this will necessitate is one making the practice of meditation apart of his or her daily schedule. With the consistent practice of meditation one will also create the ability to stay even more present to what is so even when not actively engaged in the meditative process. It is through a commitment to the practice of meditation on a daily basis that one will begin to live more fully in the Now.

How To Use The Past, Future, And Present In Attaining Success

Michael Lee 2004-09-13
Title: How To Use The Past, Future, And Present In Attaining Success
Did you know that your past, present, and future can affect directly or indirectly your outlook in life?

THE PAST

Have you ever done something that is so regrettable you couldn't forgive yourself? Have you ever made a mistake that up to the present time you're still blaming yourself? Are you still torturing yourself with the thought that only if you could've done it differently, you're living a much better life right now?

Good news for you! You don't have to keep this burden in your heart for as long as you live. Release it. Set yourself free.

If you keep bad memories, you're depriving yourself of good mental and emotional health. You're making yourself a prisoner of the past. This will adversely affect your capacity to act at the present moment. You will not be able to think clearly and you will lose your focus if you are still lingering in the shadows of your dark past.

No matter what you do, you couldn't reverse or otherwise change history. So let bygones be bygones. Why worry about something you have no control of?

Let go of the past, but keep the LESSONS. Whatever lesson you've learned will be of utmost importance to the fulfillment of your goals in the future. These lessons are your mentors that may sometimes teach you the hard way; but nevertheless, success comes to those who are willing to take the risk and pay the price for their actions.

And what about the successes you had in the past? How did you feel when you've accomplished something exceptional? It feels great isn't it?

Well then , use these past experiences in your present endeavors to encourage you and to motivate you. These memorable experiences will bring a positive aura of enthusiasm and will remind you that you have the power to achieve anything with the right attitude.

Recall these affirmative memories in everything that you do and you will see amazing results in all your undertakings. THE FUTURE

Now how can the future influence your success if it hasn't occurred yet? The answer is simple.

Your burning passion to attain your ideal life in the future will become the motivating factor that will prod and push you to take the essential steps at the present moment.

Conceive your future in the most vivid and comprehensive way possible. For instance, if you want to get rich, then take into consideration: 1) How much money you desire to make, when you intend to get them, and your action plan to have that exact amount by your target date; 2) The vision of your lifestyle when you've attained the money; like the people you are in contact with, the activities you are engaging in, the food you are eating, the places you are visiting...Well, you get the picture.

These are the guiding forces that will chart the right path to your intended destination. If you envision yourself as having attained them and focus all your efforts regardless of the impending obstacles ahead, then your inner power will release the right kind of energy that will enable you to do nearly anything in pursuit of your desired end.

THE PRESENT

The present moment is the time to ACT. Ready or not, you must do some action now! Mistakes will be made, but you could always revise them.

Put procrastination aside. One delay or excuse will generate a chain reaction of more postponements and alibis that will never end. Before you knew it, open opportunities have already passed you by.

Never let fear get on your way. Some people are struck by the threats of failures, setbacks, or criticisms. What they don't realize is that majority of successful people had to pass through "the eye of the needle" in order to get where they are now.

Act intelligently. Use your past mistakes as guides to avoid future blunders. Let the vision of your ideal life in the future compel you to carry out your plans and catapult you to reach your deepest desires.

Personal Development Techniques To Release The Past

2008-01-22
Title: Personal Development Techniques To Release The Past
It is possible to release your past regardless of how painful or deprived it was. Through these personal development techniques you let go of all your emotional baggage and start fresh.

Once you release your emotional attachment to your past you are free to enjoy the present. From this powerful place of being happy and content with where you are you can then begin to create the future of your dreams.

Although you cannot change anything that has happened in the past you can change how your past experiences affect your future. The first step to releasing the past is to accept that it happened. No matter how traumatic the experience or how distasteful the memory is you must acknowledge here and now that it occurred. This is what we call entering a state of Acceptance. Many people live their entire lives wanting to change the past. They moan that if only things had been different their life would be so much better. The past is gone. It happened. There is no way to change the past so there is no point wishing that it never happened or that it happened differently. You cannot change it so accept it!

After acceptance you can enter a state of peace when you realise that the past, all of it, good and bad experiences alike have helped to form and mould the person you are today. All the knowledge, desire and love that are in you right now are a direct result of the past experiences that make up your life.

Next realise that the past has some powerful lessons to teach you. Look for the positive learning experience that the past has taught you? Use your past as a learning tool. See where you went wrong and make the changes you need to make today so that your future becomes a bright and welcoming place. Never use your past as an excuse to stay the way you are or to tolerate circumstances and situations with which you are currently unhappy! Realise that the past has been and gone. All you have is this moment and that is all you need to make changes.

Many millions of people throughout the centuries have overcome their own personal adversity to achieve great things. You can do the same. These people refused to accept what life had handed them. They never moaned about their past nor allowed it to interfere with their present and thus they created their future the way they wanted it to be.

Dwelling on the past and using it as an excuse to stay stuck in your life should never be an option for you. Use your past negative experiences as a motivational tool to spur you on. It is all about your perception! The truth about this universe is that you always get more of what you focus on. If you chose to focus on the mistakes and hardships of your past then that is what you will experience more of.

But if you decide to put the past where it belongs, in the past, and fully embrace the present moment and where you are you will find yourself in a powerful creative place. Only revisit the past to learn from it not as an emotional trip. Although much of your current mental conditioning originates from childhood and early life experiences it can be changed. By making the decision now and holding the intention now that the past will no longer affect you, you can free yourself from your own self-imposed bondage.

From this place of freedom you can make decisions based upon current situations and circumstances instead of being the slave to reactive emotional thinking and acting. The evidence is everywhere that people with painful, damaging pasts have overcame them and gone on to achieve high levels of success. Look at the business world, sports, creative arts etc. There are rags to riches stories everywhere you care to look.

You may encounter past experiences that are very difficult for you to realease. At these times you should seek professional help in whatever form you feel appropriate, even if it is just a subliminal or hypnosis recording. Do something now to release your past - make the decision that it will no longer rule over your current life. Intend to be free of the past. In your own mind decide now that no matter what you need to do you will release your emotional issues. Even though you may not know how you are going to do this yet hold the intention that you will do it. When you do this and begin to live in the now you will be more content and at peace while you wait for your marvelous future to unfold.

Learn to Live in the Present With Personal Development

Michael McGrath 2008-01-22
Title: Learn to Live in the Present With Personal Development

There is no point fighting with your past and wishing it was different.

There are literally millions of people who have overcome major adversity to reach their goals so why should you be any different from them. These people refused to accept what life had handed them. They never moaned about their past nor allowed it to interfere with their present and thus they created their future the way they wanted it to be.

You should never use the past an excuse for staying stuck in your life. Your power is always in the present moment.

Set the intention that, even though you may not currently know how, you will release all your emotional attachment to the past. Do this and you will start to live more content in the present while you await your glorious future.

Using Your Past Present and Future To Attaining Success

Title: Using Your Past Present and Future To Attaining Success

THE PAST

Ask yourself now. In the past, have you ever done something so regrettable that you could not forgive yourself? Have you ever made a mistake that up to this present time you sre still blaming yourself? Are you still torturing yourself with the thought that only if you could have done it differently, you will be living a much better life right now?

Here is the good news for you! You don't have to keep this burden in your heart for as long as you live. You can release it and set yourself free.

You are depriving yourself of good mental and emotional health if you keep bad memories. Don't make yourself the prisoner of the past. This will adversely affect your capacity to act at the present moment. If you are still lingering in the shadows of your dark past, you will not be able to think clearly and you will lose your focus.

No matter what you do, what was already done cannot be undone and you couldn't reverse or otherwise change history. So let bygones be bygones. Why worry about something you have no control of?

Let go of the past, but learn from the mistakes, keep the LESSONS.

Don't you feel great about it?

Well then, encourage and motivate yourself with these past experiences in your present endeavors. These memorable experiences will bring a positive aura of enthusiasm and will remind you that you have the power to achieve anything with the right attitude. Recall these affirmative memories in everything that you do and you will see amazing results in all your undertakings.

THE FUTURE

You may ask, If it hasn't happened yet, then how can the future influence your success? The answer is simple.

Your burning passion to attain your ideal life in the future will become the motivating factor that will prod and push you to take the essential steps at the present moment.

Conceive your future in the most comprehensie and vivid way possible.

For example, if you want to get rich, then take into consideration:

1) The amount of money you desire to make, when you intend to get them, and your action plan to have that exact amount by your target date

2) Have a vision of your lifestyle when you've attained the money. What kind of people you are in contact with, the kind of activities you are engaging in, the food you are eating, and the places you are visiting... Well, you get the picture now?

These are the guiding forces that will chart the right path to your intended destination. If you envision yourself as having attained them and focus all your efforts regardless of the impending obstacles ahead, then your inner power will release the right kind of energy that will enable you to do nearly anything in pursuit of your desired end.

THE PRESENT

The present moment is the time to ACT. Are you ready? Remember you must take some action now! As always, mistakes will be made along the way, but you could always revise them.

Discard procrastination. Any delay or excuse will generate a chain reaction of more postponements and alibis that will never end. Before you knew it, open opportunities have already passed you by or someone else has taken it.
