Promoting your service based business can be done in the same way that you would promote a product. Though there are obvious differences, you can still use the same techniques to achieve the desired results.

The first step to marketing your service is to determine your unique selling point; this is what will set you apart from your competition. You need to give your clients a reason to choose your service over anyone else’s. Once you’ve done this, it will be become the focal point of your promotional strategies.

Your USP could be a money-back guarantee on your services, or perhaps you offer a discounted rate for clients who sign on with you for a certain amount of time. It can be any number of things, but when you decide what your USP is, use it to brand yourself and make you stand out from the crowd.

The next step is to start promoting and here’s how you can do that:

Networking:

Building relationships with other people, either online or offline is a great way to generate clients. Once you’ve joined a few groups, there are a few things you’ll want keep in mind to get the most out of your networking efforts.

The first and most important rule of networking is to be honest. Misleading people will quickly lead to distrust, a bad reputation, and no business at all. So for the sake of everyone involved, don’t be afraid to be yourself and to say “no,” if there’s something you can’t do. Another way to grow your business is to help other business owners grow theirs. By sharing leads and referrals for other business owners, you’ll quickly find the same coming back to you.

And finally, be patient and give networking time to work. You can’t expect people to meet you once and hire you on the spot; they want to be reassured of you and your business before they start handing over money.

Internet Talk Radio:

Over the past year, Internet radio programs have been popping up all over the web, and it has provided yet another way for business owners to promote their business. These shows provide a great way to reach a large listening audience of people who are interested in you. Do a search to find all the radio shows that will reach your target market, once you have a list of possible places to contact, listen to their shows and check out their archives to find out what their listening audiences are interested in.

The next step is to get the contact information for the host of the show or their Public Relations person, and then submit a press release outlining your expertise. If they’re interested in having you as a guest on the show, they’ll certainly contact you to discuss it further.

Teleseminars:

A teleseminar is a presentation that you give over the telephone, and holding one is fantastic way to show off your expertise. You can either host your own seminar, or offer your services as a guest speaker to other business owners who have a large following of people within your target market.

For the most part, teleseminars are free for guests and will focus on a specific topic of interest to them. The best part about seminars is that it literally brings the clients to you, and once they hear you in action, they’ll be more likely to contact you.

Blog:

Having a blog is yet another relationship building tool. You can focus the blog around your area of expertise, and provide free information and resources to potential clients. The more you post, the more your readership, and their trust in you and your opinions, will develop. You can use your blog to promote your services by posting articles on relevant topics and telling them to contact you for more information or assistance.

How to Provide the Best Customer Service for Your Home-Based Internet Business

Kale McClelland 2008-03-14
Title: How to Provide the Best Customer Service for Your Home-Based Internet Business
There are more home-based internet businesses these days than ever before. Lots of people are beginning to recognize the potential in having a successful company operating from their own homes. One vital area you need to think about is customer service. Without offering great customer service, it is going to be very difficult to attract new clients and to keep those clients. If you have mediocre or bad customer service, your internet business is not likely to do well at all. Keep reading for some great tips and advice on how to provide excellent customer service for your home internet business.

The most important thing to know, when it comes to customer service, is to recognize every single one of your clients as a person. This might sound simple but it is something that many businesses overlook. Whether you are working from one of the offices in a large corporation or from the comfort of your own home, it is common to think of your customers in terms of numbers, rather than as individual people. If you think of them as numbers, the importance of each customer is undermined. You need to think of them as people in order to be able to keep a happy client base that is happy to stay with you.

If you have your own online, home-based business, you will need to show some high quality personality traits and make sure you exhibit some tact. Whether you are dealing with your customers by telephone or in person, this is equally important. Many people who work from home tend to lose some of their people skills because they are no longer used to being around other people all day long. If you think you have fallen into this trap, you need to be aware of it and work on getting your customer service personality traits up to scratch again.

When you deal with customers in a home based internet service setting, it is important that you go the 'extra mile' for the clients that you deal with. Each customer should feel as if they are special, and play a special role in the success of your business. It is important to take a few extra steps here and there in order to make certain that they feel as if they are truly appreciated. The customer that feels as if they are held up above the rest is the customer that will remain loyal to your business. These are the individuals who will come back for me. Learning to 'tune in' to the customer in this manner will result in a lucrative home based business.

The last step in ensuring that you provide superior customer service is to learn how to handle people who may become frustrated with one thing or another that is directly related to your business. Many businesses deal with customers that may be displeased with their services, products, even the price that they charge for these things. If you have an internet home based business, you are not immune to these complaints and complications. This knowledge, coupled with the ability to appropriately handle them may mean the difference between keeping customers, and losing them.

As you can see, there are numerous ways to provide superior customer service in your home based internet business. If you are looking to ensure that you acquire and maintain your customer base, it is important to take the information listed here and apply it. You should remain both persistent and consistent when it comes to providing superior customer service to your clients. If you do so, you will find that you are truly a success!

Did you know that 68% of people will quit doing business with companies that have poor customer service? Learn the keys to good customer service - get effective customer service tips at http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Give-Great-Customer-Service

Explode Your Network Marketing Business by Being Master of Your Own Time

William Winch 2008-04-28
Title: Explode Your Network Marketing Business by Being Master of Your Own Time

Owning your own home-based business does not seem like it would require a great deal of thinking when it comes to time management. Just the time you save by not having to commute to work and back seems like it alone would give you all the elbow room you need to coast through your day at a reasonable pace. The problem with working at home, however, is that distractions and obstacles seem to take precedence over the time we should be working.

No one likes to have a problem hanging over their head, or miss their favorite tv show when the tv is just a click away. We like to think that we can get our work done more efficiently if all our problems were taken care of first. Working from home gives you the option to do that. But we forget that no mater how much you solve a problem, the next one is always on it's way.

So what happens at the end of the day when yo have finished all your chores and watched the shows you want to watch, but you have not made any money? You start looking for excuses and wind up blaming the company for your lack of success. Had you had the conviction to set a schedule and stick to it, you would not be a statistic in the high drop-out rate that gives network marketing a bad name.

We must all suffer from one of two pains: Discipline or regret. One of your jobs as a network marketer, who is the CEO of your own business, is to decide which is more painful. To me, discipline weighs ounces and regret weighs tons. I figured this out the hard way by making excuses for ten years instead of being accountable for my own actions. It was only when I developed a schedule and stuck to it that I began to see my business take off.

All that is required for you to start your own daily schedule is the desire to make it a success. Making it a success requires you to focus your time on the things that are important before the things that seem urgent. Doing your laundry is not important. Calling your prospects and inviting them to your briefings or trainings is.

If you as a home-based business owner do not make sure you control your days wisely, your days will take control of you. Time is expensive and irreplaceable. your actions need to align with your overall goals. You can not expect to make a profit every single day if you are not sticking to a schedule that weighs heavy on the activities that will bring you income.

One of the best ways to set up a schedule is to block the money-making time as early as possible. This is the most important activity because without it you would have to go back to punching a time clock for someone else. The earlier you get it finished, the easier it is to get it out of the way.

It is like when you were a kid and you were told you would not get any desert unless you finished all of your vegetables first. Well, the work is like the vegetables. Get it finished and over with first so you can earn your right to get the reward. What happens to a kid who goes right to the desert and does not eat his vegetables? He gets fat, lazy and sick, and life becomes difficult.

One of the misconceptions about working from home is that the more your work, the more money you will make. This is not true. What if you worked all day using outdated techniques that never make you any money? Those who know proven marketing understand that it is not how many people you talk to, it is who you talk to and how well you can relate to fulfilling their needs, wants and desires.

Do not fill your schedule with nothing but work. Instead, focus on being educated on the proper ways to market so you can find a balance between work and leisure that allows you to be successful without spending every waking moment working. You ultimately want to learn how you can talk to only your target audience so when you want to make money, you turn your system on and make it.

Whatever you decide your activities should be, always remember to stick to your schedule and never stray from it. It is the road map you designed for yourself to travel on in order to reach your dreams and goals. If you do not follow your own life's plan, chances are you will fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.

Finding Extra Courage Will Explode Your Home-based Business

William Winch 2008-04-18
Title: Finding Extra Courage Will Explode Your Home-based Business

People who own their own home-based business in network marketing know that it takes a lot of extra courage to make things happen. When you no longer have to punch a time clock for someone else, you have to be responsible for your own actions by being accountable to yourself as an employer and an employee.

Working from home sounds glamorous, but finding the balance between work and leisure makes the difference between success and failure. When people can't do this, they drop out. Since there is a 95% drop-out rate in network marketing, finding that extra courage to keep yourself in business is paramount.

The best way to find extra courage is to set some challenging goals and achieve them. These goals don't have to be earth shattering to anyone but you. If you have trouble talking face to face with a stranger, challenge yourself to find the courage to do it just once. What you are looking for is a small step in the right direction.

It is important to not measure your skill set based on the activities and achievements of others. Focus on personal goals that only have to do with improving yourself. Do not worry that there are people out there who can talk to 100 people a day without fear. They have their own challenges in other areas that you do not.

It is very difficult to just say you want to improve, so find reasons to make you want to set these personal goals. Why do you want to have the courage to talk to strangers? What are you going to get out of it that will make you want to continue finding the courage to take baby steps out of your comfort zone? Write them all down on paper and review daily.

Finding extra courage also comes from fine-tuning your listening skills. In order to find your target audience, you have to find a connection with your prospect and focus on solving their problem. It takes a lot of courage to do this because you have to focus on helping people instead of how much money you will earn when you sell a product.

Listen carefully to the people you learn from and all the people you surround yourself with as well. There is knowledge in every word they say, and a lot of courage comes from being inspired by others doing the same things you want to do. There will always someone who has achieved the same goals as you have written down for yourself. Find them and have the courage to follow their lead.

Another way to find courage to make tough decisions by yourself. Find the strength to change yourself into the kind of person who does not need to ask for someone's help every time there is a problem in your life. If you can handle it by yourself, then have the courage to do it. This shows others your are responsible and people will respect you for it.

When you are trying to build a team of distributors who look to you for guidance and inspiration, it is extremely important to show them how to find courage. This is what mentoring is all about. When you have the courage to solve your own problems, your people will solve their own. They will not be constantly pulling you away from your business to help them.

Value the friendships you have made and look for courage to rebuild relationships that have gone sour for whatever reason. Grudges hold people back and good things happen to those who value the time spent with others. Nothing is worth the cost of burning a bridge, especially when you are in the business of networking.

Being willing to accept challenges and opportunity requires the kind of courage that reflects leadership. If you want to be successful in network marketing, you have to develop the mindset of a leader. Help people make wise decisions about their future and show them how to do all the things that you do to find courage.

If your company is not teaching you the fundamental basics of marketing, find the courage to look for the kind of education that will. All the hard work and dedication in the world won't put a business back on track if you are practicing outdated techniques, and quitting isn't the answer. The 5% of successful people in network marketing found the courage to figure that out, and so can you.

Think Like an Owner and Explode Your Home-based Business

William Winch 2008-03-31
Title: Think Like an Owner and Explode Your Home-based Business

Unless you’ve made millions of dollars from selling your product or service yourself, you have no right to go out and promise people that you can teach them how to make millions. In order to be successful in Network Marketing, one must learn to manage by the mind and lead by the heart. This comes from thinking like an owner instead of an employee.

It's great that lots of people have come before you and made money for themselves, but don't focus on them. When you paint a picture based on someone elses' vision and success, you are positioning them as a leader and you as a follower. You always want people to know you are in control of your own business.

Align yourself to where you are really at by being authentic. More people will want to follow your lead if you are honest, even though you may not yet be successful. When you think like an owner, you have a clear vision of where you want to go and your current status isn't going to matter to someone wanting to share that vision.

The first thing an owner comes to terms with is the fact that no product sells itself. Your results sell it. Whether you've made money or not, your passion about your product or service is what makes the difference between success and failure. If you are not totally committed to what you endorse, no one will believe you when you tell them how great it is.

That being said, if your product and company are so great, why do they need you to sell their products? Network marketing companies are looking for people to find others with a specific need. Unfortunately, they tell you to go out and spread their gospel to the masses when the reality is that the masses are not your targeted audience.

This is how distributors get roped into joining online business systems that promote turn-key systems that rely on your money to get things moving. You don’t have to depend on anyone to grow your own business. If you do, you're not thinking like an owner. You're thinking like a cog in someone else's giant wheel of success.

People will start asking questions when you become successful, so forget outdated techniques like trying to persuade people you know. This is the same thing as following someone else's plan that doesn't work. There’s much less drama focusing on cold leads and building your skill set so that you are ready when you finally find your target audience.

When it comes to education, thinking like an owner means seeking proper marketing education if what you are learning from your parent company isn't working. You could quit your business if you aren't getting the results you want after 90 days, but that would be something an employee would do.

In network marketing, you can't just blame the company and move on to the next with the same skill set and expect something different to happen. They're all basically the same, so the people who succeed have developed the mindset of a leader who takes it upon him or herself to learn the basic principles of marketing.

I always get a kick out of people who get excited about the latest fad a company comes up with to generate excitement among its distributors. What they are doing is jumping from one idea to the next based on someone's success that they don't even know. I've done it all...sample packages, home parties, clubs, fancy websites, expensive leads. They come and go as often as the seasons of the year because they fail to get to the core of marketing.

Mastering the telephone and knowing how to find and communicate with your target audience is all you need. It's not easy to do without a great deal of practice, but what great things come with ease? Owners are able to think outside of the box because they think like leaders. They recognize that it is all about getting down to the basics.

Thinking like an owner is not easy if all you are looking to do is follow the lead of others. There is a 95% drop-out rate in network marketing because people are unwilling to take charge of their own business. Don't follow the rich person just because they have more money. Think like an owner and create a desire for others to want to follow you.

How Simple Daily Disciplines Can Explode Your Home-based Business

William Winch 2008-03-05
Title: How Simple Daily Disciplines Can Explode Your Home-based Business

If “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is true, why don’t more of us do it? We know it's a healthier alternative to the chocolate chip cookie. We know it takes as much time to eat both. We know we will feel just as full after both are eaten. It can't be because of the taste because apples are yummy!

The reason more people eat cookies is because it's easier to go for what provides immediate satisfaction than it is to choose what will be helpful in the future.

Just like choosing to eat the apple, disciplining yourself every day with small tasks has the power to literally skyrocket your stalled home-based business. Whether you are just beginning or trying to get things into action, it's the small details that count the most. Just because your business didn't cost a lot to start, doesn't mean it can be treated casually if you really want to succeed.

Voluntarily changing daily errors into disciplines allows us to experience positive results quickly. Sitting in your office doesn't necessarily mean you are being productive. It's easy to get distracted. Just imagine the effect of spending an hour practicing your script instead of surfing the internet, for example, could have on your bank account.

Start by writing out a list of everything you do that takes up your entire day. Then, take a good look at what specifically is productive in relation to your business goals. You may think you are spending 7 hours a day "working," but the reality is that the productivity is more in the range of 3-5 hours a day or less.

Once you've figured out how many hours a day you can spare by removing the non-productive activity, start developing a list of things that you have been putting off. This is great place to start in your quest to develop new disciplines. You don't have to stop doing the things you enjoy outside of work, but if you want your business to succeed, set them aside for the weekend. Just like you'd have to do in a regular 9-5 J.O.B (just over broke).

Don't wait for a time when you think you'll be more motivated to do this. “A little motivation” is not how people become more productive. It has to come from within. You must first change your thinking habits, then the motivation will come automatically as a result. If a person is a fool and becomes motivated, he or she merely becomes a motivated fool.

The reason adding these simple daily disciplines can explode your business is because they tend to multiply. Everything we do has an effect on everything else we do. Every new discipline will affect the rest of our personal performance in a positive way. And conversely, each undisciplined act opens the floodgates leading to other breakdowns. While it is easy to do, it also easy not to do.

Small disciplines could be anything ranging from spending 15 minutes talking with a buddy who has similar business goals, to writing down an entry into a journal to inspire thoughts and ideas. You don't always have to take on major projects to be productive. Small disciplines done over and over build consistency and result in business longevity.

You can also change the disciplines you are already currently practicing, especially if they aren't getting you anywhere. If you're spending 3 hours a day on the telephone talking to prospects and your voice doesn't have enough conviction, you should change the way you come across when you talk. Although being on the phone is a great way to generate business, it's not productive if you haven't mastered the art of communicating your message by positioning yourself as a leader.

The more you look for small disciplines that causes you to refine your thinking, the more you will amend your errors and improve your results. Changing from errors to discipline is easy, but requires work. You can't just change your habits for one day and think things are going to be better just because you made one small effort.m Repeating them is the key.

Everything you need to become rich and powerful is within your reach. Very few home-based business owners take advantage of that simply because of neglect. Just like people who eat that cookie every day instead of the apple, they can't see the effects and consequences of the future. That is how subtle failure is.

3 Ways to Successfully Communicate in a Home-based Business

William Winch 2008-02-26
Title: 3 Ways to Successfully Communicate in a Home-based Business

In network marketing, it is essential to position yourself as a leader. This means you want people to think of you as someone they can trust and rely on for support, leadership and friendship. You are in the people business. Success depends on your ability to help others achieve their goals and dreams by following your lead. That means you must become a master of communication.

When you can get people to rely on you and include you into their lives, your home-based business will begin to shift into high gear. You'll be amazed at how many people you can enroll just by taking an interest in their hopes and dreams through proper communication. Being a master doesn't mean you have to be the best, it just means you have to apply a few simple techniques into your mode of operation.

The first lesson in communication is to be prompt. Whenever someone leaves you a voice message or e-mails you, answer them swiftly. Don't wait several days hoping that it will make you look important. Answer their questions and attend to their needs as soon as possible. This will let them know you are in business to help them and they will soon begin to rely on you for support.

One returned phone call or e-mail note is where it ends though. Do not return the same call several times leaving different messages. If someone is serious, they will get back to you. Taking care of issues and getting them out of the way is important, but you can't sit around worrying about everyone. People who call too often seem desperate. You wouldn't want people calling you all the time, so don't do it to anyone else.

All wealthy people are incredibly well networked, so the second tip for communication is to start meeting people. Successful people didn't become that way by themselves. Get to know everybody you can, even your competition. Go the extra mile and call people, send cards and always give of yourself freely. Let people know who you are and what you stand for. Most people get ahead in life because of who they know, not because they are extra talented or gifted.

Start by making a few phone calls per day. Don't try to sell anything, and wrap each conversation up within a few minutes. Let them know you are thinking of them for whatever reason, and ask them how they are doing. You may think this is a little shallow and manipulative, but it's more on the lines of maintaining your stature. You want people to think you as reliable and willing to reach out.

When was the last time you received anything in the mail that wasn't a bill or an advertisement? People will remember a simple card that says you are thinking of them, especially when it isn't their birthday or christmas. These are the kinds of things that bring you up and above everyone else. Sincerity and a genuine concern for the well-being of others without asking for anything in return actually comes back to you in more ways that you can imagine.

The third and final way to successfully communicate is to become a mentor. Teach those willing to learn the things you learned to be successful. Start seeing people as being under your care. Participate in trainings and practice the art of getting your point across. Like the members of a high school debate team, you want to get your points of view across in a persuasive manner.

Limit who you mentor to only those who have gone through some sort of a challenge to deserve it. Whether it is achieving a certain volume of business or attending a conference call. Let them earn the right to take their business higher with your help. It took a lot of hard work for you to get where you are, even if your business isn't currently where you would like it to be, so your advice and guidance should not be taken lightly.

When you can limit who you mentor, it is easier to focus on getting to know each person individually. This allows you to teach according to their personalities, and they will learn faster and easier. Not everyone has the ability to grasp every technique in the same way. Some people can take information and run wild with it, while others need to be shown in baby steps. Personalizing your communication allows you to become a better mentor.

Practice these three communication techniques and you will find your home-based business accelerating faster than ever before. Network marketing is all about reaching out to people. The more you do it in the right ways, the more successful you will be.

5 Free Ways to Explode your Home-based Business

William Winch 2008-02-13
Title: 5 Free Ways to Explode your Home-based Business

If you are like me, you started a home-based business to make money, not spend it. You thought it would be a cost-effective alternative to being your own boss without the hassle of buying a store and hiring employees. As you began to work your business through a "turn-key" system set up by your upline, however, you began to realize that more money was going out of your pocket than into it. Somehow, this little business you started from the empty den next to your living room didn't quite turn out the way you hoped.

Unfortunately, you and I are not alone. In fact, about 95% of people who start a home-based business wind up quitting. The trainings that these large companies guilt you into attending are expensive and the techniques are outdated. Fads and alternatives to the traditional techniques of getting your name out there come along faster than you can keep up with them. Everything seems good on paper but when you actually try something, the only thing that happens is a loss of money.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to spend a lot of money to make a lot of money in network marketing. Anyone who tries to convince you of this has alterior motives. They're porbably making money off something else that they are telling you to buy into, whether it's overpriced leads or fancy websites. When I decided to take a look at what I didn't need to spend money, I was able to finally succeed in network marketing. Here are five money-saving discoveries that worked for me.

Ask Advice
If you want something, ask the people who already have it how you can get it too. It costs nothing to ask for advice, and you'll probably find it more valuable than anything money could buy. If someone is successful in network marketing, they probably didn't get there by hiring someone to design an expensive website and wait for the flood of people to visit it. They probably started from scratch and you can find out what they did without spending a dime.

Restock Your Shelves
The money you put back into your business can be your slave. It can earn more money for you every month without costing you anything except one initial fee. When I decided to begin every month by placing a modest product order with my company, I found that it not only provided me with products to use, but my customers bought more. It seems that when you actually have something in stock, people want it faster than if you had to order it for them.

The reason this discovery is "free" is because the profits I make from every product I sell goes right back into more inventory. I only spent money once, and because of it I am able to fill the demand of supply month after month without it draining my bank account.

Prosper Through Ambition
You must have the desire to prosper through ambition, not luck. Don't put your faith in programs that only work by playing a numbers game. That is one of the reasons there is a 95% drop-out rate in network marketing. Focus more on yourself and your willingness to get the job done the right way. People who take the easy way out never prosper.

Drive and abition are free. If you have enough conviction to get things done your own way, which is the inexpensive way, you won't need luck to speed you to success. When you set a task for yourself, complete it. Wealth grows wherever you exert energy. Leave luck to the gamblers in Las Vegas. They have better odds with it than home-business owners.

Learn From Your Past Mistakes
Most people think that a failure is just failure, but it means so much more. You can only succeed when you fail first, and what you learn from the failure is usually worth more than the loss. Money can't buy experience and once you have it you can use it to guide yourself in the right direction. Learning from your mistakes is free advice. You can show others how not to do something as well, and that is extremely important in network marketing.

Seek Guaranteed Education
Everyone knows how much it costs to go to college these days. A four-year degree could easily cost over $100,000, and for what? An education based on your learning to work for someone else for the rest of your life, not to mention there is no guarantee you will even be able to find a decent job after paying all of that money. Although your network marketing education costs considerably less than a four-year college degree, you still are not guaranteed success.

It wasn't until I decided to look outside of the traditional trainings of my company that I found an program that not only focuses on proper marketing education, but guaranteed success or my money back. After adding up all the expenses that would be cut from the previous way I was doing business, the new education actually saved me money. That's actually better than free right from the start. And with a guarantee, there was no risk involved.

If you find yourself contemplating any kind of expensive "sure-fire" way to grow your home-based business, do yourself a favor and shift your focus away from the risks of spending without any guarantee for success. Remember, you are in business to make money, not spend it. All you need are the few important things that money can't buy.

Explode your Home-based Business by Becoming a Life-long Learner

William Winch 2008-01-30
Title: Explode your Home-based Business by Becoming a Life-long Learner

Have you ever wondered why formal education only teaches you how to be a follower and not to be a leader? High schools never teach "Home-Based Business 101," or "Inroduction To Network Marketing." Both of these classes would make students stop and think that they could actually make a fortune instead of just making a living working for someone else. Maybe it's because schools are funded by large corporations and they want people to learn how to fall in line instead of start their own.

Whatever the reason, home-based business owners have to put on a totally different thinking cap than the ones high school and college students wear. You can't just receive a diploma from attending a few opportunity meetings and be on your merry little way, thinking you can become rich now that you have learned how to sell one product. That is the mindset of the person who thinks of their business as a casual hobby.

The masses stop learning after school, and then lead lives of quiet desperation. They let someone else determine what they are worth, and they trade their precious time for the security of knowing they will receive a small paycheck. You have other goals and dreams that working for someone else can't provide. Just like many other apects of working for yoruself, you have tackle the responsibility of keeping yourself educated all the time. Self-education is what you learn along the way to success that keeps you improving.

Most network marketing companies very seldom teach you what you really need to know in order to build a successful business. How could this be, you ask? Just think about it for a moment. The only thing your network marketing company is really responsible for is to provide you with products to sell, then pay you when you sell them. With this in mind, most of the training techniques they provide are more focused on increasing their overall sales rather than teaching each distributor how to be the CEO of their own company.

How many training events have you been to where you see the same people up on stage every month claming that they are doing the same things you are doing and getting rich at it. Why is it working for them and not for you? Probably because those people chose be life-long learners through a different education system that ties into the ones you attend. Take a look around at your next event. Chances are good that you will find yourself learning how to motivated to sell products more than learning how to be a successful CEO.

If you're going down the wrong path, you don't need motivation to speed you up. You need proper marketing education to turn you around. Most companies are not willing to spend the time and money on this because in the long run, the numbers game they play tells them it is more prosperous to just teach you how to get customers. Whether you succeed or not, your customers will still probably continue buying products.

The first lesson to being a life-long learner is to start learning the right things. A lifetime full of learning the wrong things won't get you far. It's never to late to change your direction. I spent ten years learning the wrong things, but there was some value in it. It led me to find the right kind of marketing education and that has not only enabled me to explode my business, but it allows me to get other people on the right learning path as well.

Constantly reflecting on your own situations allows you to learn what went right and wrong. Once you change from learning the wrong things to learning the right things, then you can focus on getting into the routine of learning more and more of those right things. Read books and keep yourself up to date on the ever-changing technologies that can help withyour business. It isn't what the book costs, it's what it will cost you if you don't read it. Books lead to ideas, and ideas lead to success.

All of your learning doesn't have to be from a book or a training class. You can probably learn the most through observation of others. Seek out people who are already successful and do the things they do. When you associate with successful people, you're chances of reaching your goals will improve. I'm sure that you will find these people are life-long learners and they will welcome the chance to learn something from you as well.

No matter where you are in life, commit to learn as much as you can. Strive for success, even when most people your age have given up. You are never too old to learn and grow in new directions. People who learn because they want to will go on to be the most successful kinds of people because they have a passion for improving themselves. By default, they teach others the importance of continued education, and that is what networking is all about.

How to Explode your Home-based Business by Building Relationships

Title: How to Explode your Home-based Business by Building Relationships

The gift of relationships is precious. It's the foundation of network marketing and without it, your home-based business wouldn't exist. You would have to settle for being just a customer of the product you currently represent, and you would have to work for someone else on the other side of town. So if we need relationships in order to do our businesses, doesn't it make sense to put an emphasis on making sure they are the best relationships we could possibly have?

You simply cannot succeed by yourself. It is hard to find a rich hermit. There are a lot of things you could accomplish by yourself, like writing a book or recording a song, but growing a network marketing is not one of them. Even the writer and recording artist probably got their inspiration from the experiences they shared with others at some point in their lives. And they probably rely on building relationships with others to get their works out into the marketplace.

The relationships you attempt to build in network marketing must be cultivated like a garden. Constant effort and attention must be sprinkled upon them for growth. A garden left to itself will only grow weeds, but when you tend to it, you get flowers. You can even determine what kind of flowers and how high you want them to grow. As long as you have a clear understanding of the importance of helping those flowers grow for themselves.

The first thing you can do to strengthen your relationships with people in your organization is make time in your busy schedule for those who deserve the attention. Don't allocate all of your time to everyone evenly. You should know who your key people are based on the effort they put into their own business. This doesn't necessarily mean the people making the most money because obviously they are doing something right already.

Who are the people attending all of the training calls? Who are the people following your lead and asking questions along the way? Set these people apart from those who do their business casually and devise a plan to build relationships with them. What can you do to reward them for their constant level of activity? What can you do to push them just a little bit more so they can achieve just a little bit more? Chances are good that they will welcome the attention with open arms and stretch beyond their comfort zone.

Make an effort to deal with their problems by putting yourself in their shoes. Go the extra mile and lead them around their obstacles, not by holding their hands but by showing them where to walk. Think back on a time when you may have had a similar problem or when you needed someone else's help. How did they help you? How did you feel when that person opened their arms and helped you? You want your people to feel this same way about you.

When you attend a training or a live event with these people, spend time with them. Don't stay in a different hotel or dine with other people. In most network marketing companies, your downline is responsible for providing you with a royalty check. The more attention you pay to them, the bigger your check will be. And money aside, those people made an effort to be there to improve their business and relationship with you. They should be your main focus.

Start asking people what they would like or need to improve their business. Maybe it's a promotion of some kind, or more one-on-one training time with them over the telephone. When you focus on their needs, wants and desires, your business begins to grow automatically. Everyone likes to be rewarded and acknowledged for a job well done. When you depend on other people for the success of your own business, you have to be their cheering section.

Think of ways to spend quality time with the people you just want to have good relationships with as well. Not everything has to be about business, even though the majority of things you do outside of the office is reflected back into it. Who do you like that you really would like to know better? See with your imagination what the relationship would be. Don't think of what that person can offer you if you get to know them. What can you offer them without doing something just to impress them?

No matter what kind of motive you have for wanting to build a relationship with someone, always remember to be yourself. You don't want to impress people by being someone you aren't, and honesty is the most solid relationship building quality. Your business will grow faster and better if you treat everyone the same way you like to be treated. People will appreciate your helpfullness and sincerity more than they will remember people who just give them a bunch of hype.

Unfortunately my sponsor did not do the things I just shared with you. In fact, everytime I asked him what to do, all he said was, "you know what to do." Having someone who became a mentor showed me the true value of helping others, and now I can turn around and help other people succeed in the same way. Success in network marketing is all about helping other people achieve their goals, and the best way to do that is to build solid relationships with them.

Once a flower blooms, remember that it still needs water and sun to keep it from wilting.

Explode your Home-based Business by Finding the Right People to Inspire!

Title: Explode your Home-based Business by Finding the Right People to Inspire!

If you've been a distributor for a multi-level marketing company as long as I have, you've probably heard just about every numbers game system there is out there for people to follow. They tell you "the more people you sign up, the more you will make," and "get three people who get three people who get three people and you will be rich." If this were true, there would be 95% who succeed and 5% who fail rather than the 95% dropout rate that is taking place today in the Network Marketing industry.

The reason most companies train you to do this is because they know that whether you succeed or fail, some of those people will still hang around to buy products long after you are gone. This works great for them, but it doesn't really help you build your own business. I mean seriously grow it to the point where you really do become rich. In order to do that it would cost them too much time and money. They would rather you focus on just selling for them and getting their name out to as many people as you can.

Simply enrolling people at random into your organization isn't what builds it to new heights. What makes the difference is knowing how to select the people you want to work with based on their qualities(Kind of like choosing oranges without bruises, or bananas that aren't too green) and also your ability to inspire them to new heights. If you could do that with one person, it's more valuable than signing up 1,000 people who just aren't ready or willing to do what it takes.

In order to beging the selection process, you first have to have an idea of who you are looking for. You never want to lead with your business first....meaning, stop distributing "work from home" signs and "earn what you're worth" flyers. The types of people generated from these advertisements aren't focused on what they would be selling and they'll quit after a few months if they haven't found the pot of gold.

Always focus on people who have a want, need or desire for the products you are offering. Talk to them and listen to what they have to say about themselves. If they are willing to what it takes to try your product without focusing on this coupon or that deal, it's a good indication they are serious. Notice if they make excuses or if they take responsibility for their actions. Are they easy to deal with? Do they complain a lot?

Once they have an emotional attachment to the product after trying it, starting a business around it and succeeding is a lot more probable than someone just looking for extra income. They will have more of a desire to help other people get the kind of results they got, and helping people achieve their goals is probably the most important aspect of network marketing. You have to have the mindset of a leader to understand this, rather than the mindset of a distributor.

Once your customer is enrolled into the business side of your organization, ask them what kind of goals they want to achieve. This will give you a good indication of how to inspire them. Based on what they tell you, start giving them assignements and hold them responsible. Whether it's a simple task like calling you at a specific time or attending a training call, they need to be accountable for their own business. These small goals will train them to acquire good business habits.

Once they have proved themselves worthy of your time and guidance, give them some more tasks to take them to the next level. Don't expect them to shoot for the moon, just take it up a notch. Ask them to introduce you in a training call, or give their testimonial on a product that really means something to them. You don't want them to jump out of their comfort zone and scare themselves out of business, so try to get them to just put one foot forward first.

Promotion is a big part of inspiring people in network marketing. The distributors who achieve goals beyond what they would normally do, usually have a reason for doing it. It's not that they don't have the desire on their own, but sometimes we all need a push to get us over the hill, or out of a slump. You must make your promotions attainable though. You want them to stretch just enough to go a little further. Setting the bar too high all the time can make a person feel inadequate if they can never reach it.

If your focus for enrolling prospects into your organization is playing the numbers game instead of inspiring people, your business will spin like a tire stuck in the mud. Your time will be spent filling out paperwork and struggling with people who contantly complain that they aren't making enough money fast enough. Your enrollment numbers will increase, but your income probably won't. Which one is more important to you?

I struggled for ten years with my home-based network marketing business until I received the right training. So many people came and went, and I kept sticking it out because I believed in what I was selling. But that was the problem, I was trying to sell products instead of marketing them. When you learn the basics of marketing and develop the mindset of a leader, your business will not only pick up in pace, it will literally explode you out into orbit.

It doesn't happen from signing up every person you meet. It happens from finding the right people to enroll, and inspiring them to achieve their goals.
