People often wonder as to what possible benefits one can get through Astral Projection or Out-of-body-experiences. Let us look at some them:
1. Fly and have fun! : In the Astral world even the sky is NOT the limit. You can fly way beyond the blue skies. Or glide through the air or float like a balloon. Want to have a bird's eye view of our city? No problem! Or maybe jump off mountains and somersault in mid-air! Imagine being able to glide over the ocean like a seagull, or dive inside and swim like a fish!
If you want you can even propel out into the infinite space and explore the planets, heavenly bodies and other distant galaxies. We can visit any city on this planet and other planets as well. We can go and check out friends in another corner of the world!
2. Confirmed belief in life after death : A fully conscious Astral Projection gives us the ability to obtain firsthand knowledge that we can exist outside our bodies. It provides us irrefutable personal evidence that we are immortal.
If it is possible for our consciousness to exist outside our body, then it is also possible that our consciousness survives physical death. This belief removes fear of death completely. It reassures us that there is life after death and you absolutely know that you continue after kicking the bucket!
3. Get glimpses of your past life and know your purpose of existence : As we experience more and more Projections, we start getting glimpses of our past lives. These memories aid in finding our purpose of existence.
The information gained can help us know ourselves better. We can overcome certain traumas and cure certain illnesses. We get a sense of universalism, the feeling of which is ecstatic.
We expand self-awareness, increase our level of maturity, and also accelerate our spiritual evolution.
4. Meet Spiritual Guides : Through Astral Projection you can meet your Spiritual Guide who can be a source of inspiration and also help you evolve spiritually.
5. Learning : All sorts of hidden knowledge can be acquired through Astral Projection... knowledge that cannot be acquired in every day life. You can learn about ourselves, about our Earth, the Universe, or about anything else. You can meet advanced enlightened beings, even from distant ancient traditions, and learn from them. You can even attend esoteric schools and temples and learn about the mysteries of life and death... 6. Increase Psychic Abilities : Regular Out of body experiences enhances your paranormal and psychic abilities such as clairvoyance, ESP, precognition, telepathy, premonitions, prophecy, the ability to see auras and many other psychic abilities. This is a natural result because we become more in tune with our internal energy systems and also become sensitive to universal energies.
7. Personal development and well-being : Through Astral Projection we become better in all spheres of life.
We have a sense of overall well-being, increase in self-confidence, control of stress, emotional balance, heightening of intellectual capacities, and expansion of self-knowledge. Out-of-body experiences help us to break free from old mental ruts and habits. We get a more enlightened perspective of our current existence and this expansive vision is instrumental in awakening new levels of personal growth and understanding.
The recognition that we are more than just physical beings, gives us firm belief that we are capable of much more than previously imagined. Once we consciously control our non-physical self, we can unlock the unlimited knowledge of our subconscious and harness our ability to explore the universe.
8. A reduction in hostility and increased respect for life : Those who have experienced an OOBE, realize that they continue after death. The also become aware that along with their consciousness, their personal responsibility also continues. Hence many feel that harboring hostility towards other fellow souls can be very self-destructive.
Due to the personal knowledge obtained concerning our spiritual interconnection, Astral Projectors seem to start detesting violence and killing.
9. Experience tranquility : Many Astral Projectors report feeling at peace with themselves and others. They develop an inner tranquility that is hard to describe.
10. An increased desire for answers : Astral Projection often sets people on a personal spiritual quest to solve the mysteries they have held since childhood. Questions like - What are we? What is our purpose? Do we continue? These questions and many more can be answered only through personal experience. Out-of-body exploration helps us to obtain the answers we seek.
11. Meet deceased loved ones : We can meet our loved ones who have left the physical plane. These meetings are very helpful because we can request for their guidance and healing . 12. An increased zest for life : There is a certain excitement inherent in Out-Of-Body exploration because by exploring the non-physical realms, we become the ultimate explorers. Life itself becomes an adventure, an exciting journey of discovery. Every Projection is an opportunity to experience a new adventure. This inner excitement also stems from the fact that we are blazing a path much ahead of our time.
13. Increased knowledge, wisdom and intelligence : Only experience creates wisdom. Out-of-body experiences provide knowledge and wisdom far beyond the limits of our physical perceptions. This knowledge is first hand and is not imposed by other teachings and beliefs.
Many people also report that their out-of-body experiences have enhanced their awareness and intelligence.
14. Increased Spirituality : Many Astral Projectors report meaningful insights into their spiritual nature. Instead of viewing themselves as Physical beings possessing a soul, many start to recognize themselves as soul temporarily possessing a Physical body. There is a feeling of connection to something far greater than them.
15. Healing : With the knowledge and control acquired through Out-of-Body experiences, we learn to utilize our own energies in favor of other beings. We can heal others, and ourselves mentally and physically.
Those were just a few of the advantages of Astral Projection. There are many more. You can find everything about Astral Projection in my free eBook on the topic. Best wishes!

Title: The Metaphysical View of Death and Life After Death Part 10
|
|
Astral projection is an occult art that was commonly practiced by ancient mystics. Apollonius of Tyana, Yeheshuah (Jesus Christ) and many other mystics often used the ability in their ministry and work. In centuries past and up to this very day, Wicca, or the tradition of witchcraft, teaches its adherents the secrets of astral projection. The superstition that witches rode on broomsticks to their covens actually stems upon the fact that witches were adepts in the art of astral projection and astral travelling. The art of astral projection was kept secret throughout the centuries until the inception and commencement of parapsychological research in the previous century by reputable and eminent scientists. What was once shrouded in mystery and transmitted secretly to initiates, are now being rediscovered or taught openly to the public through the mass media. This occurred because early parapsychological findings paved a way for the revelation of such arcane knowledge. People were made ready for the knowledge and power that occultism had to confer. In contemporary times, Carl Jung, the great psychoanalyst, experienced many OBEs and commented on the "absolute objectivity" of his experiences. Other famous persons who had OBEs were among others, St. Augustine, Goethe, Plato, Aristotle, Wordsworth, Alfred Tennyson, and Ernest Hemingway. Astral projection, like NDEs, is one of the ways that an individual may prove to him or herself of the truth of the survival of consciousness at the time of transition--that the self, the personal consciousness may function independently of the physical brain and organism. Death is no longer feared, and in a sense, may be said to be "eradicated" once a single astral projection is experienced and apprehended. Hypnotic-Regression of the Soul Hypnotism has come a long way since the days of Anton Mesmer and his concept of "animal magnetism." It has passed through many changes of techniques and used for various purposes such as entertainment, self-improvement and healing. Certain principles or tools of psycho-transformation such as affirmation, or "subtle suggestion" are linked to the Mesmeric tradition. In recent years hypnotherapy, or hypnotism used as a therapeutical tool, commenced a new line of probing into the depths of the human psyche. This occurred when certain individuals had spontaneous recollection of their past-lives. If hypnotism could be used to stir and dig up the memory of the present life, could it not also be used to probe deeper into the memory of the psyche to acquire information of a life lived in a past identity or incarnation? This question asked by experts in hypnosis was based on the concept of reincarnation. The underlying premise was that if reincarnation were true, the results of deeper probings into the psyche would offer clues as to its reality. In this section we will not discuss the results of such findings, suffice to say that many case studies of soul-regression into past lives were found to be plausible and later discovered through research to actually be historically-based. What we will consider briefly here are the findings of soul-regression through hypnosis--in the theta-state-pertaining to soul-memory of the transition state and the life beyond the Great Change. This field of study and investigation is just another logical step from the previous probings into past life experiences. Our main (and only) source of information concerning this subject is derived from Michael Newton. After investigating the matter for several years along the lines that we have delineated above, he published his findings in the Journey of Souls. One of his main discoveries is that not all souls are of the same spiritual age; that souls may be classified as to their soul-age or evolutionary status. This spiritual principle is actually the origin of the caste system formed in ancient India. Broadly speaking, souls of the same class or spiritual age usually conform to a certain set of experiences during transition and in their "placement" which souls of a higher class usually bypass or do not normally undergo. This corresponds to the general idea of Bardo experiences where one may liberate oneself at any stage, relinquishing the need to experience the following phases--and this usually conforms with soul age and experience. Newton discovered that there was a "homogeneity of experience" among his subjects in the transitional experience, especially when it progressed through further stages. Subjects of soul-regression declare that after the initial surprise of being alive during and after transition with its concomitant deathbed visions, a certain white light emerges and attracts their attention. This stage is often accompanied by divine music. From the point of view of Tibetan metaphysics, this white light is none other than the Clear Light of the Void manifesting in the secondary stage of Chikai. Ignorant of what is to be accomplished at this stage, some of the subjects of Newton simply passed on to another stage of the bardo where the judgment or the "tunnel effect" was experienced. Some report of having hovered over the dead body for several days because of confusion, anger or bewilderment. This usually occurs to those who were killed or murdered unexpectedly. We may equate this experience with the latter part of the Chonyid or Sidpa bardo. Almost all subjects of deathbed visions describe the "tunnel-effect" where one feels oneself travelling through a long dark tunnel to an uncertain destination represented by a point of light at the distance. This light gets closer and closer as one approaches its source. In occultism, this light is actually the light of the astral realms and should not be confused with the Clear White Light of the Bardo, which is essentially a state of illumination. The tunnel-effect is an experience of the crossing of the veil that separates the physical from the astral regions. It is a "movement" into a different dimension, a birthing into a higher world. After the tunnel effect, and while still being a little disoriented, subjects report on experiencing vibrations of love, comfort and companionship emanating from what they later discovered to be a reception committee comprising of close friends, relatives and their personal, spiritual guide. This "reception committee" Newton found, is always planned well in advance of the soul's transition by the soul's personal and spiritual guide to assist it in adjusting to new conditions. Advance souls; however, according to certain case studies, go through the white light experience and the tunnel-effect very quickly. Most of these souls often go straight to their destined realm without undergoing the preliminary stages of meeting with loved ones. Newton believes that these souls do not require the comfort and solace from other beings that young souls usually crave for. After adjusting to the vibratory condition of the astral realm, Newton's subjects marvel at the remarkable sight awaiting them, and they are usually at a loss for words. Newton comments on this: "I enjoy hearing from subjects about the first images of the spirit world. People may see fields of wildflowers, castle towers rising in the distance, or rainbows under an open sky . . ." (1995:24) And he continues: "Regardless of their state of mind right after death, my subjects are full of exclamations about discovering marvels of the spirit world. Usually, this feeling is combined with euphoria that all their worldly cares have been left behind, especially physical pain." (1995:25) After meeting beloved ones, most souls are brought to special places designed to heal past traumatic experiences. In these healing centers subjects describe themselves as being bathed in swirling light. Those who are seriously damaged in a psychological way, and who possess negative, or evil tendencies, are brought to rehabilitation centers by their guides and secluded for a period of time. After the required healing, souls are sent to the realm corresponding to their spiritual attainment. This is described in the Journey of Souls as "placement." Subjects describe riding on a beam of light, a current of energy, to their destination whether it be in the upper astral or the lower mental. In placements, souls are brought to their spiritual group comprising of individuals of a similar evolutionary status, and they normally do not wander form their group to join other associations. According to Newton's subjects, in the subtle spheres, the age of the soul manifests in a certain colour or hue in their aura; these souls of a certain evolutionary status (colour) congregate together to form their spiritual group, which is presided or directed by a higher soul functioning as guide and teacher. In these groups discussions take place concerning experiences in the newly-terminated life. The discussions that take place are not unlike the group discussions that occur in a psychotherapeutical meeting where one's attitudes, motives and feelings for a certain action are analyzed and where one's behavioral pattern or habit is rationalized by the psychotherapist, or others within the group. The spirit world, as we can see from this, is a time for evaluation, assimilation, and analysis. According to subjects, some of the activities that souls engage in are research and study in libraries or spiritual work undertaken at the direction of their spiritual guides. Similar to the teachings of the Occult Tradition, the case studies of Newton indicates an active life in the higher planes where one may study the various fine arts and sciences or express one's creativity in the art of mental creation, or alchemical precipitation. In the heavenly worlds a soul must learn how to utilize the mental and psychic faculties effectively in order to accomplish creative works. In these fraternal groups of the astral regions, plans are also made for new challenges in the physical world through incarnation. Sometimes agreements are formed between members of these group-minds to incarnate together to carry-out certain tasks or for certain experiences beneficial to soul-growth. For instance, the marriage-made-in-heaven concept is actually formed by souls in the higher worlds who are karmically connected or spiritually related. Choosing a soul-entity to be one's earth marriage partner is done out of free-will as is the choice to reincarnate--though within the bounds of karma. These chosen partners may or may not come from the same group; however, as it all depends on the lessons that the soul wishes to learn. Before incarnating, these married-couples-to-be formulate certain signs that they would have to look for or to be aware of in the circumstances of their physical plane meeting and in each other to realize the soul-agreement existing between them and that they are, in fact, "soul-mates." These signs are not usually known or remembered on the conscious level. It is triggered into conscious knowing and feeling from the subconscious mind level through the actual manifestation of those signs on the physical plane. Although gender manifests universally in the physical plane, souls are described by Newton's subjects to be androgynous and manifests in the male or female form in the astral worlds out of preference. Lacking any permanent sexual form, it is thus possible for a soul-entity to embody in the physical world as a male or a female human being. In contradistinction to "placement," some soul-entities are "displaced." Newton describes them in the following: "There are two types of displaced souls: those who do not accept the fact their physical body is dead and fight returning to the spirit world for reasons of personal anguish, and those souls who have been subverted by, or had complicity with, criminal abnormalities in a human body." (1995:45) Indeed, this is an interesting subject, we will therefore discuss this briefly. Paranormal researchers have found that some souls are not aware of their transition. This is usually the result of violent deaths where the permanent atoms are expelled from the physical form simultaneously causing consciousness, or self-awareness to be retained throughout the experience. One of the reasons that makes it so difficult for such souls to accept their condition is that they feel their astral form to be no different from the physical--that, in fact, it feels solid and very much alive. Another reason is that they are unattended and ungreeted by those on the Otherside to give comfort, solace and appropriate information. As a result, these souls become confused, frustrated and "lost." These souls are trapped in time and space and sustain their entrapment in the physical plane because of their ignorance. In spiritualism, these are called "earthbound spirits." The motion-picture "Ghost" and many others illustrate this earthbound condition. Only after certain discoveries--at times with the aid of spiritual guides--do these earthbound spirits discover their position and condition. At times the help of guides are rejected thus prolonging the soul's earthbound condition. Such souls usually bind themselves to a certain geographical location. They often seek contact with three-dimensional physical beings, thus commencing and producing a "haunting" condition. They usually live in darkness--their field of vision being murky--they are, therefore, attracted to any coloured illuminations that might appear in their vicinity. Not understanding the nature of these illuminations or lights--which are actually the aura of living beings--they tend to merge or attach themselves with it. They often find themselves trapped in people's auras. Unknowingly they may reach into such depths as to consider the physical body of their victim as their own and the original tenant as the victimizing spirit. This is technically called "possession," and causes much needless suffering to both parties involved. Possessions of this non-intentional, non-demonic variety may be exorcised effectively and morally only through helping both possessor and the possessed. In this method, the earthbound soul is given information and advice as to the nature of its plight and the way out to freedom. In this manner both sides involved in the possession are liberated. In this psychological counseling, the earthbound soul is made to realize that it belongs to another dimension; the simple awareness of this truth on the part of the invading spirit is sufficient enough to release it from its bondage and entrapment between worlds. Generally speaking, calls for help--and acceptance of such help, together with a release of desires and attachment to familiar surroundings of the earth plane on the part of the earthbound soul, gradually and automatically raises its vibration and moves it on into the astral world where it may find its placement and once again interact and relate with others of its kind. The methods for exorcising demonic possessions are a little different from the above method where the principles of psychology are used to advise the victimizer. The so-called "demons" in such possessions are most often human souls with very negative and violent propensities. Such earthbound spirits are usually attracted to others of similar temperament, idiosyncrasies, habits and desires. They often seek to satiate their own earthly desires through a human channel. These souls are often stubborn, arrogant, and malevolent. Spiritual advise given to them in any way is often ridiculed and rejected. It such cases, assuming a wrathful and authoritative attitude with a definite command directed to them often helps to extirpate these entities. There is a principle that assists in this rite of exorcism--in expelling demonic beings from their human victims that psychic researchers have discovered: these negative beings are intensely afraid of pure radiant light, especially the pure light within the aura of pure and holy persons. Aside from the natural light-radiance of holy beings, in experiments it was discovered that visualized white light was equally effective. This light is visualized by the exorcist surrounding everyone present involved in the exorcism, especially the victim. Evidently, radiant white light causes some pain to these beings with demonic natures. Such luminescence is therefore avoided by them and causes their hasty retreat. When circumstances permit, these negative souls are brought to special places in the astral realm by their spiritual guides for rehabilitation. These places may be thought of as "hell" by its inhabitants. They are not there for eternity, though. They either progress from there to purgatory or incarnate once again in the three-dimensional world. In the end, all earthbound souls must submit to their rightful placement. In should be understood that in most cases of possessions the underlying cause is not by invading entities or malicious thoughtforms but by the assertion or projection of a personality (perhaps from a past life) from the subconscious. In psychiatry this is called schizophrenia. Souls are sometimes earthbound because of their attachment to their relatives or friends. There are times when these earthbound souls contact earthlings through a medium. Usually they bring an important message which they feel themselves obliged to pass on to relatives or to certain individuals. This then may be a cause of their earthbound condition, or in other cases, they seek to enlighten humanity concerning life after death. It should be noted here that not all communications through mediums are from disembodied human souls. Some of the communicating beings are in fact elemental spirits, elementary beings, astral shells or even the medium's own subconscious mind--all mischievously deceiving ignorant humans. But nevertheless, sifting the information derived from communicating spirits through mediums, from the reliable to the questionable, psychic researcher Ernesto Bozzano states the following principles as affirmed by spiritualistic communicators (cf "Life, Death & Consciousness"): "1) That all of them found themselves in human form in the spiritual world. "2) That for some time, or even for a long period of time, they did not realize they were dead. "3) That during the pre-death crisis, or even a little after, they passed through the trial of summarily recalling all the events of their existence (`panoramic vision' or `epilogue of death'). "4) That in the spiritual world they were welcomed by the spirits of their relatives and friends. "5) That nearly all of them passed through a more or less lengthy phase of reparatory sleep. "6) That they nearly eventually found themselves in a radiant and marvelous spiritual environment (in the case of morally normal deceased), or in a shadowy and oppressive environment (in the case of morally depraved deceased). "7) That they had found the spiritual environment to be a new world that was objective, substantial and real, a spiritualized version of the earthly environment. During the separation of the astral from the physical body, it first assumes a cloudy nature which slowly assumes the shape of a physical body. "8) That they had learnt that this was due to the fact that thought was a creative force in the spiritual world and thus enabled a spirit living in the astral plane to reproduce around himself the environment of his memories. "9) That it had not taken them long to learn that thought transmission was the language of spirits, even though newly arrived spirits delude themselves that they converse by means of words. "10) That they had found that the faculty of spiritual vision enabled them to perceive objects simultaneously on all sides, just as they could see inside them and through them. "11) That they had discovered that spirits could instantaneously take themselves from one place to another--even when they were very far apart--by virtue of an act of will; nevertheless, they could walk in the spiritual environment or float a short distance above the ground. "12) That they had learned that the spirits of the deceased will fatally and automatically gravitate to the spiritual sphere to which they belong, this by virtue of the 'law of affinity.'"(1991:88) Copyright © 2006 Luxamore Leonard Lee aka Luxamore Metaphysical teacher, counseler, healer and merchant of occult/magickal items of Indonesia. Title: How To Distiguish Between Astral Projection And Lucid Dreaming?
|
|
With Astral Projection you get into the Astral Plane direct from your physical body. When you have a Lucid Dream, you have simply 'missed' the initial projection. They are just two different ways of entering the Astral Realm. In either case you are still conscious in the Astral, however, as there are degrees of lucidity in dreaming, you may or may not be fully in control of your experience. But this is highly unlikely in an Astral Projection. There is still a difference, whether more slight or obvious. The difference arises mostly because of the framework you are entering from. If you project from the waking state, you may encounter some difficulties due to restrictive ideas carried with you that don't apply to the Astral, and require some practice to adjust to the new environment. On the other hand, in a Lucid Dream, having accustomed to the expansiveness of the dream state, you can sometimes have the opposite problem, finding it hard to retain a conscious focus, and thus 'losing lucidity'. With practice of course, both of these will be overcome. However, knowing this distinction can be helpful when choosing our experience. In one sense, when we are Lucid Dreaming we are within the 'creative state', and it is easier to consciously create what we desire. And in Astral Projection it is probably more productive to explore the other realities that already exist, relatively unhampered by specific desires for self-fulfillment. There is some contention between defining the difference between Lucid Dreaming and Projection. It is not a matter of clarity or vividness as some people suggest, though typically Lucid Dreams will seem more substantial and realistic at least to begin with. But either experience can be poorly or highly developed. Having already distinguished Etheric Projection and Astral Projection, there remains a factor that does provide a feasible distinction. This determining factor is memory. While there are no hard and fast rules, typically, in an Astral Projection you remember who you are, and there is a continuity of memory from waking through to projection. But in a Lucid Dream, this is not always the case. You can be consciously aware without fully remembering your identity, and there is often no continuity from the waking state, nor memory of what preceded the experience of becoming lucid. There is also the term 'OOBE'. These Out of Body Experiences are just that. You, your consciousness, is out of your physical body. Again, these can be spontaneous episodes (not consciously called for) or intentional ones. As mentioned earlier, the term is often used instead of Etheric Projection. Or it can be used for an 'unconscious' separation or even for an Astral Projection, but again it is not the most helpful term. An 'OOBE' may or may not lead to experiences in the Astral Plane beyond the Etheric. This is the distinction I like to make anyway, as it really does avoid confusion. A Near Death Experience (NDE) is a type of OOBE that is brought about when a person survives a close brush with death. It generally occurs during accidents or acute illness. Technically speaking it is an Etheric Projection, as when a person's body is near death, a large amount of etheric matter is channelled into the astral body in preparation for the death process. People often report seeing their life flash before them during an NDE. Many people also experience travelling inside a dark tunnel towards a light and/or floating over their physical body, aware of what is happening in real-time. This pattern is unaltered by a person's culture or belief system, religion, race, education, or any other known variable. The massive amount of research on NDEs constitutes the most scientific proof that consciousness survives bodily death. A Gallup survey estimates that more than 8 million Americans have had NDEs. It is no wonder that after having an NDE, most people develop a strong belief in life after death. Fortunately, we don't need to experience an N-D-E to have O-O-B-E. That would really S-U-C-K. (Of course that doesn't stand for anything, it's just these capital letters can really get out of hand. J) Projectors learn to consciously have an experience without needing to undergo life-or-death situations (unlike in the movie Flatliners, which is an interesting example of this. Check it out sometime.) Far more convenient really!

Title: What Are The Benefits Of Astral Projection And Lucid Dreaming?
|
|
People sometimes wonder why anyone would want to learn Astral Projection or Lucid Dreaming. Many have an idea or two they want to explore, but few people consider the extent of the rich possibilities. The benefits of Astral Experiences and the purposes which they can fulfill are very varied and numerous, and it is first of all beneficial to gain an overview of what can be achieved. Besides being a lot of fun, exciting and interesting experiences in themselves, we are directly accessing through ourselves the greater realities of which the universe is composed. This process expands both our awareness and creative abilities, and because of this no effort we put into it is wasted. But really this is just the beginning... Some movements suggest Astral Experience is a spiritual attainment in itself, yet whether this is so or not, it is certainly complementary to any spiritual path. Because of its universal accessibility, there is no philosophy or theology that is not be enhanced and clarified from the direct insight and revelation that can be attained through dreaming and projecting. This means we get to find our own answers instead of relying on superstition or dogma. In fact, many spiritual teachings and revelations have even been born or reborn in this way. So while we can say Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection are a means of spiritual development, they are not limited to those with spiritual interests. Both can be used to greater understand and experience any aspect of life, whether physical, chemical, biological, inspirational, psychological, emotional, mental, philosophical, religious or scientific... Or whatever! In this way, Astral Experience is a highly valuable informational tool. It can be used to discover for ourselves the truths and myths of any system of thought. One of the immediate and important benefits to successful projection is knowing experientially that consciousness - your consciousness - is not dependent on a physical body. This is a unique opportunity to gain personal and intimate reassurance that there is 'life after death'. This can be quite transformative, especially for those who have until then believed that live is 'only physical' or that we are merely our current physically-oriented personality. It is one of life's little surprise adventures, and I recommend you give it a try just to find out what it feels like outside your body. There are a number of benefits to this in itself. With the first-hand experience of non-physical identity, the fear of death begins to dissolve. And the less you are afraid of death, the less you are afraid to truly live. As our fear and anxiety over the 'great unknown factor' decreases, so we are more able to open and embrace the 'unknowns' in our lives without fear. (Or in other words, no longer being such control freaks - we can see first-hand that the need for 'rigid control' is founded on fear of the unknown.) As a result of this reduction in fear and uncertainty over the nature of existence and the continuity of identity, many people report further profound changes in their life. In fact, projection in general can have some amazing results. Here is a short list of commonly reported effects: · Improved overall well-being · A better attitude and appreciation for life · Increased self-confidence · Clearer and more intimate self-knowledge · An inner peace or tranquility · Increased responsibility and respect for all life · Reduction of stress, anxiety and hostility · A more expansive perspective on our life and life purpose · Greater emotional balance · Heightened intellectual capacity · Better energetic intunement · A sense of freedom from mental ruts and detrimental habits · An awakening to new levels of growth and understanding It is also no coincidence that many people report an increased or renewed zest for life. Our sense of wonder at the marvel of all life is restored by breaking us free from the narrow and restrictive perceptive conditionings of living a 'mundane' existence. Life is an adventure (again), an exhilarating journey of discovery. We are spurred on by the desire to grasp the opportunity to experience the next new adventure. We become the ultimate explorers of fascinating and heretofore unknown realms beyond the limits of our physical senses. These realms are not even limited by our imagination, but frequently expand it instead! Here is just some of what we may choose to explore: · Far reaches of outer space, including galaxies, planets and cosmological wonders · Far reaches of inner space, including biological, chemical and atomic wonders · Radical new worlds and dimensions with different laws · Natural wonders, from ocean depths to amazing panoramas · Flying like a bird (or a plane or superman) to see or visit wherever you like · Past, present or future world events, whether local or global · Spiritual and psychological planes, inhabited by an infinite variety of beings · Elaborately evolved civilizations and eutopic societies And remember, with Lucid Dreaming you can also create and experience whatever reality you like, whether that involves conversation, games, creativity, adventure, sport, music, dance, sexual fantasy (quite a favorite for most)... the list is literally endless. For many people the joy of flight is also a favorite endeavor, providing the opportunity to visit other places or worlds in an exciting way. Other examples include interacting with geniuses or idols or stars, to help us solve problems or create new inventions or improve our performance at anything we like... There are also amazing opportunities on the Astral to interact with others, for enjoyment, growth, or knowledge: · Meet other dreamers and projectors · Spend intimate time with the 'partner of your dreams' · Contact departed loved ones · Enjoy the company of historical figures or geniuses · Interact with non-human species and other fascinating entities · Learn direct from spiritual beings, guides, angels, teachers, mentors, helpers and masters...! The last point is one major reason people seek Astral Experience. Much of this knowledge cannot be acquired in everyday life, whether from other people or books, because it is experiential rather than rote learning. It usually deals directly with deeper levels of learning that far surpass intellectual 'knowledge'. And, there are classes and groups for anything, and the learning is faster and the lessons more accurate than anything on Earth, and far better than a super-internet on steroids. There are even true esoteric schools that can teach us the hidden mysteries of life, death, the Universe... or anything else! There are also a number of other beneficial effects that occur directly or indirectly as a result of Astral training: · It will help increase and develop your clairvoyance, ESP and other psychic abilities as a result of greater energy control and intunement · Increase your normal perceptive range, encouraging etheric sight and/or auric vision · Can produce spontaneous, healthy recollections of past life experiences and influences · Our experiences frequently lead to natural spontaneous healing or health revelations · Accelerates our personal growth by giving larger and larger glimpses of our personal potential · Promotes a greater sense of purpose due to better alignment with our greater self Many people report this feeling of connection to something far greater than them. Whether we want to call this Spirit, or Universal Consciousness, or All That Is, or God, or whatever we choose, it is both a powerful sense of inner connection and interconnection. Finding ourselves as Souls with physical bodies rather than physical bodies with Souls leads us closer to experiencing our superconscious self, the union with which has been given names such as Ecstasy, Satori, Nirvana, Christ-consciousness, Enlightenment etc. For many spiritual seekers this is the ultimate goal of Astral Experience, to experience Unity with Divinity. But that is for you to decide. What is your purpose and intent? Fun? Knowledge? Power? Awareness? Growth? Unity? Whatever it is, there is no reason it will be denied you. Astral Experience is the best means for fulfilling any desire, for the Astral is the universal medium for desire and fulfillment! It awaits your active participation...!

|
|

Title: How to Achieve Astral Projection (obe) Overnight
|
|
Achieving Astral Projection overnight is as easy as going to bed. There are a few ingredients and three easy techniques you need to cook this up. Needless to mention, if you are an intermediate to expert level in the art of astral projection you might already know these ingredients. However, the hope of jotting this down is to provide a very simple recipe to allow anyone to achieve success literally overnight.
Ingredients List
1. First Ingredient: Everything requires an exchange of Energy
Automobiles need fuel to move, plants need water and sun to grow, even the human body needs energy, in this case food, to function efficiently. That being said, projecting astral projection also requires an exchange of energy, or fuel. The natural question is: What is this fuel and where does it come from?
Firstly, for clarity's sake let's dichotomize this fuel into organic fuel and prana (life force).
The aforementioned fuel is plainly and simply just food. The body needs to be well nourished and healthy to be apt to allocate its precious resources to astral endeavors. If you are weak you won't be able to study, exercise, heal, or operate efficiently, it is no different when it comes to astral projection. That being said, it is possible to overwork or put enough stress on the body to achieve astral projection but this is for obvious reasons counterproductive. A healthy diet works best. Plenty of water and a supplement of B vitamins and magnetite will do wonders. Lemon juice is also an important and accessible part of this equation. It is very important to test, test, and test again. What diet works best for you? What feeding time works best for you?
Attempting to project too soon after dinner will reduce your chances of a projection because of the stress on your digestive system. Substances such as caffeine and alcohol will also act against you. Avoid them during your projections.
The other and more important kind of fuel is prana. This, in a nutshell is an unseen energy that is all around us and permeates everything. This is the energy that ties and binds our universe together. Think of prana as the "Force" from the film Star Wars. Much like organic fuel allows your physical body to operate, prana is what will fuel your "astral probe" and allow "projection". Breathing is by far the easiest and most accessible way of obtaining prana. What's the trick? In order to absorb prana it must be wanted. Turn your lungs, and your body into a loving home for this prana, invite it in and it will come. There are more advance ways of absorbing prana. Specialized meditation techniques, such as Higher Balance Institute® meditation, will yield more than enough prana for projections, amongst other benefits.
2. Second Ingredient: Knowledge is Power
The biggest factor ruining aspiring astral projectors all over the planet is fear. And knowledge is the weapon of choice against this treacherous enemy. There are countless articles, books and tapes on the subject. Saturate yourself with the subject. Be logical and don't believe everything you read. There is a great debt of gratitude due to all the trail blazers that have put astral projection in the map, but remember these are regular people trying to explain and talk about an unusual subject. Thus, be wary of misinterpretations. One pearl of knowledge that must be shared and will strike down fear of astral projection is that: You are not out of your body. Yes, you never leave your body while you are projecting. Think about these letters that you are reading. You are experiencing with your sight. These letters are outside your body, yet you are able to perceive and experience them while you remain inside inside your body. It is of great importance to grasp this. It will obliterate ignorant fears commonly associated with astral projection, such as, fear of death, fear of possessions and fear of getting lost outside of your body.
3. Third Ingredient: Practice makes perfect
Who likes to hear this sentence? Not nearly as many as those that like to say it. But, as painful as it sounds, it holds true. Any skill worth having requires you to put in a decent amount of time and effort. Now that your motivation is likely back to zilch allow me to digress to the original point of this article...yes, the overnight part. Hopefully, your motivation is now back to normal levels. The following are three simple and efficient techniques that will project your astral probe literally overnight.
The movement technique:
After a long day of white water rafting I proceeded to lay down in my bed and rest. Interestingly, laying there in a relaxed state, I couldn't help but notice that the movement of the raft moving down the river had stayed with me. I went with it for a while and as soon as my brain was convinced of the reality of this movement it was tricked into achieving it. Before I knew it my astral probe was inches away from my bedroom wall as I lay in bed. After discovering this purely by accident I experimented with other variations of movement, such as, jogging, swimming and even driving a car with great success.
The "feels like technique":
This is a very powerful technique, and for the purpose of astral projection you might want to think of it as visualization on steroids. Using this technique, from the Higher Balance Institute's Mind Projection series, is the only way I have been able to project while completely awake. In a nutshell, you will pick a room in your house; the bathroom seems to work best. Lie down and relax in your bedroom. Now as you lay there, relaxing and getting comfortable start to picture your bathroom in your mind's eye. If you are anything like me, your first attempts at visualization will be pathetic. Your job is to trick your brain into believing it is in the bathroom, the brain is no fool, and you need to imitate the sensory data the brain expects to receive to the best of your ability. Feel the colors, the brightness, and the texture of the surface. Look at the mirror, the corners of the room, the sink, you get the idea. It is all in the details.
The lazy technique:
This is my favorite one because it requires the least amount of work. This technique requires you to play around with your normal sleep schedule, so it is not recommended for work or school days. Simply set your alarm clock about three hours earlier than usual. Get up and do some type of task that will require some degree of focus. Read a book, preferably on astral projection, take a walk around your block. Taking a 15 minute drive usually does it for me. Then go back to your warm, comfortable and inviting bed. That is it. I can only speculate that these actions put your brain in a very special state of mind that makes it much more prone to achieve astral projection.
Everything in the universe requires an exchange of energy. Remember that, whether you are writing an article fueled by caffeine or sending an astral probe to the Mexican Riviera powered by prana. Knowledge will set you and your astral probes free. Educate yourself on the subject; it is the only way to dispel ignorance and fear. Be consistent with your practice, anything worth gaining requires effort. And if all this sounds like too much work, at least give "the lazy technique" a try, you might be one of the few lucky natural astral projectors.

|
|
(Or in other words, no longer being such control freaks - we can see first-hand that the need for 'rigid control' is founded on fear of the unknown.)
As a result of this reduction in fear and uncertainty over the nature of existence and the continuity of identity, many people report further profound changes in their life. In fact, projection in general can have some amazing results. Here is a short list of commonly reported effects:
· Improved overall well-being
· A better attitude and appreciation for life
· Increased self-confidence
· Clearer and more intimate self-knowledge
· An inner peace or tranquility
· Increased responsibility and respect for all life
· Reduction of stress, anxiety and hostility
· A more expansive perspective on our life and life purpose
· Greater emotional balance
· Heightened intellectual capacity
· Better energetic intunement
· A sense of freedom from mental ruts and detrimental habits
· An awakening to new levels of growth and understanding
It is also no coincidence that many people report an increased or renewed zest for life.
Here is just some of what we may choose to explore:
· Far reaches of outer space, including galaxies, planets and cosmological wonders
· Far reaches of inner space, including biological, chemical and atomic wonders
· Radical new worlds and dimensions with different laws
· Natural wonders, from ocean depths to amazing panoramas
· Flying like a bird (or a plane or superman) to see or visit wherever you like
· Past, present or future world events, whether local or global
· Spiritual and psychological planes, inhabited by an infinite variety of beings
· Elaborately evolved civilizations and eutopic societies
And remember, with Lucid Dreaming you can also create and experience whatever reality you like, whether that involves conversation, games, creativity, adventure, sport, music, dance, sexual fantasy (quite a favorite for most)... the list is literally endless. For many people the joy of flight is also a favorite endeavor, providing the opportunity to visit other places or worlds in an exciting way. Other examples include interacting with geniuses or idols or stars, to help us solve problems or create new inventions or improve our performance at anything we like...
There are also amazing opportunities on the Astral to interact with others, for enjoyment, growth, or knowledge:
· Meet other dreamers and projectors
· Spend intimate time with the 'partner of your dreams'
· Contact departed loved ones
· Enjoy the company of historical figures or geniuses
· Interact with non-human species and other fascinating entities
· Learn direct from spiritual beings, guides, angels, teachers, mentors, helpers and masters...!
There are also a number of other beneficial effects that occur directly or indirectly as a result of Astral training:
· It will help increase and develop your clairvoyance, ESP and other psychic abilities as a result of greater energy control and intunement
· Increase your normal perceptive range, encouraging etheric sight and/or auric vision
· Can produce spontaneous, healthy recollections of past life experiences and influences
· Our experiences frequently lead to natural spontaneous healing or health revelations
· Accelerates our personal growth by giving larger and larger glimpses of our personal potential
· Promotes a greater sense of purpose due to better alignment with our greater self
Many people report this feeling of connection to something far greater than them.

Title: Astral Projection Methods
|
|
Astral projection is when the conscious and astral body separate from our physical body. The person who is practicing this has use of all 5 senses and you may feel like you are flying or floating and nothing can enter the physical body while you are astral projecting.
One astral projection method that you can use is sit in a place with your spine fully erect. Relax make sure that you are inhaling and exhaling but it is absolutely important that you do not fall asleep. Next picture an image of yourself in a ball of light then using your senses only first touch, move your astral feel and arms, next use your hearing, then smell and then taste.
Finally once you have plugged in all your senses, open up your eyes and then look around all your senses will further focus on the awareness of the astral body. Your astral sight does not actually depend on your physical eyes, but that is not something that a novice should worry about at first.
First one should work on shifting their consciousness and then you will have made your first step towards success. The rest of your senses will and must follow. Some of the most common problems with people not reaching astral projection is that their memory is unclear or foggy and they also have difficulties shifting their consciousness to their astral body.
You must begin with a clear image of the astral body then you must shift physical consciousness to the astral body. If there is no training of the physical muscles, then people are not able to give

Title: Astral Projection Instruction
|
|
Astral projection, what exactly is it? Astral projection is when your astro body leaves the physical body. We are multidimensional, we all have 7 sheath bodies and the astro body is one of them. The other 6 bodies are physical, mental, causal, etheric, emotional and spiritual. Some people can do astral projection naturally and other people need to find the proper astral projection instruction so that they may do it properly.
To astro project the important thing is that you must feel absolutely comfortable. Make sure that you are in a quiet environment where there will be nothing to distract you. Your body must be relaxed that is the first step. The next things you need to do are enter the state of bordering sleep then deepen the stage by clearing your mind. After this you try to enter the stage of vibration. To enter this stage remove all items such as jewelry that might be touching your skin. Make the room as dark as possible without shutting out all light.
Lay yourself down along a north-south axis, your head should be in the north position. Make your clothing loose but also keep it warmer than usual. You should be able to remember everything that is going on in your session. The next step may sound a little weird, however choose a point that is at least a foot away from your head, after this change your mental reference point to 6 feet away. Draw an invisible line that is parallel to your body axis above your head.
Focus on that point and its vibrations and try to bring them back to your body. Practice controlling these vibrations and once you have control of the vibrations you will be ready to leave the body. Next try to focus on the idea of leaving your body however try not to let your mind wander because if so then you may lose control of the state. Think about getting lighter and lighter so that your body may dissociate itself the thought of floating upward may help.
It may not work on the first try but don’t give up by making sure that you concentrate on these astral projection techniques you can achieve your goal.

Title: Astral Projection From A Historical Perspective
|
|
Astral Projection is as natural as being human, and probably as old as our existence on this planet. References to OOBE are evidenced throughout human history. Across cultures, socio-economic strata, languages, genders, religions, nationalities and civilizations.
From the most ancient tribal societies to the modern civilized societies of the 21st century, human beings have recorded the departure and subsequent return of a subtle body from the physical body. All such recordings have a remarkably high degree of consistency in describing the many different aspects of the phenomenon, thus giving us an idea of the universal character of this capacity of leaving the body.
Dean Sheils compared the beliefs of over 60 different cultures by referring to special files kept for anthropological research. Of 54 cultures 25 (or 46%) claimed that most or all people could travel outside the physical body under certain conditions. A further 23 (or 43%) claimed that a few of their number were able to do so, and only three cultures expressed no belief in anything of this nature.
From this evidence, we can conclude that some form of a belief in out-of-body experiences is very common in various cultures.
Some Eastern religions include specific doctrines on the abilities of other bodies and the nature of other worlds.
Early evidence of the OOBE appeared in ancient Egypt between 3,000 and 5,000 years ago. The Egyptian priests were aware of the existence of the astral body and they called it the Ka. The Ka could wander about at will. It was independent of the man and could go and dwell in any statue of him. The early Egyptians left inscriptions and drawings on walls of temples and buildings. These inscriptions clearly depict the human soul abandoning the physical body.
The Tibetans believed in the Bardo body, which could leave the physical body while still alive and it could be directed by will. It was believed to be an exact duplicate of the human body, from which it is separated in the process of death.
According to them, the Bardo body is made of psychic material, invisible and etheric. Due to its nature, this body is able to pass through matter, which is only solid and impenetrable to the senses.
The Tibetan Book of the Dead is used as a funeral ritual, and is read out as a guide to the recently deceased. It contains an elaborate description of the moment of death and the stages of mind experienced by the deceased.
Ancient Greeks believed in a Double body, which housed the soul. References to OOBE later appeared in Greece through the writings of a number of philosophers including Plato, Herodotus and Hermotimus of Clazomene.
Plato believed that what we see in this life is only a part of what the spirit could see if it were free from the physical. Chained in a gross physical body, the spirit is fettered; separated from that body; it can converse freely with the spirits of the departed, and see things more clearly.
Aristotle, Homer and Plotinus taught that the spirit could leave the body and that it is capable of communicating with other spirits. They believed that all souls could be separated from their physical bodies. This 'doctrine of the subtle body' runs through Western tradition.
In Christianity there are references to a spiritual body. Some religious works can be seen as preparing the soul for its transition at death. Cases of conscious projections are also well documented even in the Bible, for example in Ezekiel III: 14; the Apocalypse of John 1:10-11 and 4:2; and in the Epistles of Paul of Tarsus, e.g., II Corinthians 12:2.
During the Middle Ages, OOBE was studied and practiced secretly. Information gathered was not made available to the general population. This need for secrecy contributed to the fabrication of various myths and untruths about the dangers of Astral travel that persist even today.
The phenomenon of the out-of-body experience therefore is ancient and universal. We can see that different persons throughout history had experienced this, independent of culture, education, financial situation, religion, credo, sex, or age.
From this historical perspective, and from studies and personal experience of thousands of people, the most solid conclusion that can be drawn is that human beings are more than just their physical bodies. When one experiences a conscious OOBE, one has irrefutable evidence that the physical body is merely a temporary "house" through which one's consciousness or awareness manifests in the physical dimension.

Title: 10 MUST KNOW Astral Projection symptoms. DON''T attempt Projection without these!
|
|
Remember the story of a drowning man who lost hope because he couldn't see the land? He stopped swimming...even though the shore was just a mile away! Unfortunately, he didn't know how close he was!
Most people quit too soon because they don't see immediate results. But if you know what signposts to expect along the way, you will know that you are right on track.
Hmm...so you have read scores of Astral Projection techniques, tried some of them and still haven't experienced a conscious Projection? Don't quit too soon. You may be close...very close!
Below, I have listed some common pre-Astral Projection sensations. The more knowledgeable and prepared you are about the initial sensations associated with out-of-body exploration, the more success you are likely to achieve.
1. Vibrations Vibrations are probably the most common of all pre-Projection sensations, and you should be fully prepared for it.
You might feel as if a part, or all of your body begins to "vibrate". These vibrations normally start slow and gradually intensify. If you experience this for the first time, you might get startled and feel that your entire body is being electrocuted from head to toe! Although the vibrations can be very intense, they are not physical vibrations because nothing physically vibrates.
Vibrations are a sure-shot indication that you are very close to a successful Astral Projection..
2. Sleep Paralysis / Catalepsy Sleep Paralysis or Catalepsy is another very common symptom that you might experience during your Astral projection practice.
Sleep Paralysis is a state when you may suddenly find yourself unable to move or speak. Your physical body will feel so completely "paralyzed" that you simply cannot seem to budge any part of your body at all.
If you don't know what's going on, it can be quite scary. But do not be alarmed when this occurs because this condition is perfectly safe. Astral Paralysis means you are very close to the actual exit.
3. Buzzing And Other Sounds Most common sounds that you can hear are buzzing; whooshing, rushing, roaring, explosions or bird squawking, a chime being struck, knocking, thumping, voices of people conversing with each other, gunshot, loud bell.
Out of all these, buzzing seems to be a very common pre-Astral Projection symptom and can intensify so much that you feel there are hundred helicopters in your ears!
These sounds are temporary and subside once the separation process is complete. Recognition of such sounds is an important step because they prove to you that you are on track.
4. Visual Hallucinations While practicing, you may also see geometric patterns, pulsating colors and lights, specific scenes, visions of paradise or hell or anything imaginable.
5. Rapid Heart Rate Rapid heartbeat is a very common pre-Projection symptom.
The exact reason for this is unknown. But probably the racing-heart phenomenon is because of the opening up of the heart Chakra. Or maybe it is a side effect of fear or excitement. Either case, you need to remain passive and calm.
6. Breathing Changes This is an apparent shortness of breath. You need to keep cool and the feeling would soon subside.
7. Movement Sensations You may experience sensations of dizziness, vertigo, falling or flying up at great speeds, rocking or even swaying. These occur because it is the start of the Astral Projection sequence as the Astral body starts to separate from the physical. A very positive symptom proving that your Astral body has "loosened" from the physical confines!
8. Weight Changes Changes in feeling of weight can occur.
You may suddenly feel that your body has become very heavy. Or you may feel very light, as if you are weightless.
9. Proportion Changes You may also feel that your body is changing in proportion. You might have the sensation that you are growing or shrinking in size.
10. Temperature Changes This is again a very common phenomenon. Your body temperature might drop and you will feel a cool breeze blowing over you.
Conclusion People are different. Therefore, the sensations you experience will be based on your personality and individuality. The intensity of some of these sensations will vary from person to person. Each Projection attempt may yield different sensations, in a different sequence.
These were some of the sensations you might come across. There are many more. Just be aware of them so that next time you experience something similar, you know you are on the right track!
